One day in Siesta Forest, Dora was out for a nature walk, listening to the birds and watching her friend Boots the Monkey getting into some silly antics with the other monkeys. It had been days since their last adventurer that involved Boots' bouncy ball bouncing away to that volcano, but since then, they'd made sure not to lose it again.

Dora sat down on a rock, smiling while a rock hopped on a lily pad and bounced off into the water. Close by, Boots was playing patty-cake with a brown monkey while a white monkey pranked him with a couple tags. When a monkey tagged Boots at one point, he leaped up and did a little backflip. When Dora saw this, she just giggled. She was good at making friends and Boots was so funny.

She remembered every adventure they had together since they met, since they became friends, along with all of those moments Swiper came to try and nab something from them only to fail despite his occasional successes. And despite the many challenges that came their way, Dora and Boots' bond was as strong as ever, no matter what happened.

A pair of monkeys swung by and plopped down near Boots, hooting playfully. Two of them did a handstand and Boots did the same, one did a handstand walk and Boots emulated them. One monkey clapped and hooted, obviously trying to encourage the monkeys to have more fun, while another seemed to hiss with laughter. Then a monkey spotted Dora watching and waved at her.

Deciding to introduce them to his friend, Boots wandered up to Dora with the monkeys as she smiled at them. "This is Dora…" The monkey said, "Dora, these are the Goofy Monkeys." Dora waved happily and the monkeys waved back, then the monkeys headed off into the bushes to places unknown. This left Dora and Boots alone, even as more monkeys hooted nearby.

Just then, a monkey landed on Dora's head, did a handstand and then leaped up onto a vine before swinging off through the trees. This made Boots giggle, even Dora started giggling. Animals and their antics, the world was full of silliness.

"You and the other monkeys aren't so different." Dora told Boots, "Not that you were never different or anything, but you're all alike. Getting into silly antics, swinging around on vines and doing your acrobatics. It's really cute, too cute to ignore."

"I know…" Boots giggled, "It's very funny sometimes. So, Dora. Since you like our antics and my skills so much, do you think you can do a handstand and some acrobatics?"

Dora smiled, "Well, we're athletic and good at jumping. So, I guess it wouldn't hurt."

A drumroll started playing as Dora stretched and bent over, she then put her hands on the ground and pressed off with enough force to put her legs in the air, doing a handstand. Then Dora walked five inches on both hands and got back on her feet in a finishing pose. Dora then stretched her arms and leaped up and did a backwards mid-air somersault, landing on her feet as the drumroll ended.

"Wow, Dora. That was great!" Boots exclaimed, running up to Dora to hug her.

"I can do a cartwheel too." Dora said.

Another drumroll sounded and the explorer bent her body over in a swift motion as if she were doing another handstand. But this time, her legs and body moved while Dora turned in mid-handstand and she landed back onto her feet, impressing Boots. The monkey leaped up and hugged her, hooting with excitement for his friend.

"Thanks, Dora." The monkey said.

"De nada. You're welcome." Dora replied.

And with that, the two headed off to find other things to do while the other monkeys up in the tree watched on and hooted amongst themselves, excited over what they'd just seen today.
