(Disclaimer: I own nothing they are the property of their respective owners).

(Author's Note: This was something I thought of while writing another fanfic, it didn't fit in with that story, so I split it off into another story, and well, here it is, look out for references to other Dan Schneider shows).

Why She Hates Him

In her bedroom, Alice Hayfer is getting ready for bed, she grabs a dart, and throws it, the dart hits the dartboard on the wall, on it is a picture of Drake Parker, one of her students from school, and the step-brother of one of her favorite students, she hates Drake, he's a slacker, but for a time she had to tolerate him due to him dating her daughter, Kelly, she attempted to blackmail him into continuing to date Kelly, threatening to fail him if he broke up with her, but the opposite happened, she ended up dumping Drake for another boy, much to her relief. She gets in her bed.

Mrs. Hayfer - I hope that kid graduates.

She looks at a picture on her nightstand, someone from her past, someone that she despises, a young man in a garage, with long hair, sporting a tie-dye shirt, holding a guitar, and making a dumb stoner-like facial expression. The words, "To Alice, uh well, here you go", are written on the photo.

Mrs. Hayfer - Stupid man.

She gets up, grabs the picture, and throws it out the window, she returns to her bed, and lays back down.

Flashback POV: Many Years Ago.

In a back alley behind a music venue, a young woman is there, waiting for someone, there's a lot of groupies, crew members, going back and forth, the woman is looking for someone, she spots the person, and makes her way to him, it's the guy from the autographed picture.

Alice - Excuse me, Kyle?

He turns around.

Kyle - You look familiar, have we met before?

Alice - You don't remember me?

He thinks for a moment, that's a first for him.

Kyle - Oh, yeah, isn't it like Linda or something?

Alice - Alice.

Now he remembers her name.

Kyle - Alice! That's right, how have you been?

Alice - I've been okay.

Kyle - Awesome! I haven't seen you in like, uh. What year is it?

Alice - A year and a half.

Kyle - Oh, yeah, are you still doing stand up comedy?

Alice - No, I had given that up.

Kyle - Really? That's a bummer.

Alice - I'm a mother now.

Kyle - Really?! Congratulations!

Alice - You're the dad.

Kyle - Huh?

Alice - Her name is Kelly, and you're the father.

In shock, he sits down on a wooden crate.

Kyle - Whoa. That's like trippy.

Alice - She has your inappropriate laugh.

Kyle - Whoa. What have you been doing since then?

Alice - I became a teacher.

Kyle - Really? That's cool…I uh, guess.

Alice - You could probably return to school too.

Kyle - School?

He laughs inappropriately, much to her chargin.

Kyle - I don't wanna go back, I flunked 12th grade like almost three times.

Alice - But we could work something out, I can help you.

Kyle - I can't do it, Babe. The band is already starting to take off, we've got a big tour opening up for Dan Halen. Totally Kyle is gonna be the next big thing, like uh...the next big thing. You know, like the guy who invented Spaghetti Tacos.

Tears are beginning to run down her face, this is not what she wants to hear.

Alice - You said that you loved me.

Kyle - I did?

Alice - Yes!

Kyle - See, I have this thing where I say things I don't really mean.

Now she is really hurt, and at the same time angry.

Alice - I hate you!

Kyle - Ok.

A horn is honking.

Van Driver (off screen) - C'mon, let's go!

Kyle - I'm coming!

He turns to her.

Kyle - Sorry, babe, I gotta fly.

Kyle runs off.

Alice - You'll rue the day you left me, you...you...you slacker!

Kyle (off screen) - Later!

The van drives away, She is left standing there, crying, a security officer approaches her.

Jerald - Ma'am, are you okay?

She wipes her tears away.

Alice - I'm fine. Just got my heart broken.

Jerald - Do you need anything?

Alice - I'm okay.

She looks at his name tag.

Alice - Officer Hayfer.

Jerald - It's Jerald.

Alice - Jerald? That's a nice name.

Jerald - Thank you.

Alice - I'm Alice. Would you care to join me for a cup of coffee?

He smiles.

Jerald - Sure.

Alice - I know the perfect place.

Jerald - Dan's Coffee shop?

Alice - You go there too?

Jerald - Yup.

Alice - Let's go.

They walk away together.

The End.

(Author's Note: What do you think? let me know, maybe I'll do a follow up story, but that remains to be seen).
