Reconnecting.
Chaper 4. The Truth Is Coming Out.
After Logan had followed Rory to her hotel, he grabbed a cab and went home to his place. The thoughts kept running through his mind, after all these years he had finally run into Rory again. He really wanted to tell her what he had gone through since they broke up. But he knew Finn had told her a part of what he had gone through. But he should tell her his side of everything.
Rory got up from the bed and grabbed her phone then she texted her mom.
"Just got back from my lunch with Logan, god I missed him..." ~ Rory.
"You missed him? How was he?"Lorelai.
"He's great, he's running the business headquarter here in London." ~ Rory.
"He's working with his dad again? How's that going?"Lorelai.
"He's not working with his dad, he's running the company." ~ Rory.
"What? He's running the company? Since when?" Lorelai.
"His dad suffered a heart attack and had to step down." ~ Rory.
"How did you feel about seeing him again?"Lorelai.
"It felt weird, it felt like he had something else to say. He couldn't just get it out." ~ Rory.
"Are you going to meet him again? Btw is he going to be at the conference?"Lorelai.
"Yes, he will be at the conference and we promised each other to try and meet up again." ~ Rory.
"Talk to you later?"~ Lorelai.
"Sure mom, say hi to dad from me?" ~ Rory.
Rory put her phone down and grabbed her laptop so that she could continue to write on her speech for the conference. She had decided to talk about her journey from the campaign to how she got to were she is today. After for about an hour of writing, her phone buzzed.
"Hey Rory, I feel like I didn't get to say everything that I needed to.." ~ Logan H.
"Oh? Everything okey?" ~ Rory.
"Yes I just feel like there are more things we have to talk about and that I need to tell you." ~ Logan H.
"I'm speaking at the conference opening tomorrow, should we talk before that?" ~ Rory.
"That can work, If you let me take you out to breakfast?" ~ Logan H.
"Sure, sounds great. See you then Logan." ~ Rory.
"Thanks Ace, really appreciate it."Logan.
Logan's apartment.
After he finished texting with Rory, he put down the phone and walked into the bathroom, turned on the shower, got undressed and stepped into the shower. After a few minutes in the shower, he stepped back out, grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his waist. Logan wondered if he was going to the right thing with telling Rory, what he had gone through these past 8,5 years. That he still has feelings for her? What if she doesn't feel the same way anymore? Everything could go so wrong so quickly.
The next morning.
Logan had just texted her, asking if they could meet up at her hotel for breakfast instead. Rory got dressed for the conference and went downstairs, grabbed a table and waited for Logan. 15 minutes Logan arrived, he looked like he hadn't slept at all. She waived and got his attention. He walked over to the table and greeted her.
"Logan? Are you okey?" Rory asked him while grabbing his hand.
"Yeah, I'm just really tired. I hardly got any sleep last night." Logan answered her.
"Does your not sleeping have something to do with what you need to tell me?" Rory asked him while sitting back down.
"Actually yes, I figure Finn has already told you a part of what I went through after we broke up." Logan told her while taking a breath.
"He has yes, is that what you wanted to tell me?" Rory asked him.
"It is what I wanted to tell you, but I understand if you don't want to hear it." Logan told her while beginning to stand up.
"Logan.. Please don't leave. I want to hear." Rory begged him.
Logan just looked at her and wondered how she would react to what he would tell her.
"Well umm, after we broke up, I sort of went back to my old ways.. Sleeping with multiple girls, trying to see if that would make me forget you just for a few minutes but I never succeed. I don't know how many nights that Colin and Finn had to help me home because I was to drunk. That behavior would continue for so long, it even continued after I started to work with my dad. I couldn't get over you Rory."He suddenly stopped, he couldn't continue with out crying.
Rory just sat there in shock, she couldn't believe what Logan had just told her. This was a completely new side of Logan, that she had just discovered. She grabbed his hand, looked into his eyes and said. "I never could forget about you either, even though I got into a relationship. Brad just wasn't you, he wasn't as caring and loving as you were. "
That shocked Logan even more, was she saying that she still had feelings for him?
"I guess what I'm trying to say is that I never really stopped loving you, you meant everything to me." Rory told him honestly.
"I never stopped loving you either Ace, I tried to move on but I just couldn't. I did everything to try and forget about you. I even sold the apartment we shared because it had all those memories." Logan told her while wiping away his tears.
Rory got up from her chair, walked around the table and laid her hands on Logan's shoulders. Logan looked up at Rory, his tears kept falling down from his face.
"We should talk more after today's conference." Rory told him
Rory and Logan said goodbye to each other and parted ways. Rory went up to her hotel room to grab a couple of things before leaving for the conference. Rory walked out from the hotel, grabbed a cab and went to the conference.
