Reconnecting.
Chaper 9. Their Second Chance.
After Rory arrived back at Logan's flat, she laid down her things in the guest bedroom. She had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that she had checked out from the hotel and that she was now staying at Logan's place. She never thought she would run into Logan again after all these years neither had she thought that he would ask her to stay at his place instead. She walked into Logan's bedroom.
"How are you feeling Logan?" Rory asked him while grabbing the fever thermostat.
"I'm actually feeling a little bit better." Logan answered her while sitting up in the bed.
I'm glad to hear it." Rory told him while placing the thermostat in his ear.
A few seconds later the thermostat piped, he now had a fever of 101,7.
"What's the verdict Ace?" Logan asked her.
"Your fever has gone down. Rory answered him while putting the thermostat down.
"Can you hand me another of those pills that the doctor prescribed for me?" Logan asked her.
"Sure, coming right up." Rory answered him while grabbing the pill bottle and taking one of the pill's out.
She handed him the pill and the water glass.
Logan put the pill in his mouth and swallowed it with the water.
"Thanks a lot Ace, I'm really thankful for you being here." Logan told her while putting the glass back down.
"I've told you already you don't have to thank me, even though we haven't seen each other for years, you still mean so much to me." Rory told him while touching his cheek.
"I have to ask, everything that we've told each other what does that mean?" Logan asked her while grabbing her hand.
"Actually considering everything that we told each other, I have really missed you, what we used to have and I miss us Logan. Rory answered him while starting to cry.
"I've missed us to Ace, I honestly thought I'd never see you again." Logan told her honestly.
"Neither did I Logan, I really never stopped loving you." Rory told him while touching his cheek.
"I never stopped loving you either Ace, you where the girl who for the first time ever made me fall in love." Logan told her honestly.
"And you where the first guy that really made me feel safe, throughout everything I always felt safe with you." Rory told him honestly.
" So what do you say Ace? Should we try this again?" Logan asked her hoping she would say yes.
" You jump I jump Jack right?" Rory told him while smiling.
They both leaned into each other and kissed each other for the first time for years.
"Omg..it felt just like old times, good I have missed him." Rory thought to herself.
A few minutes later they drifted apart from each other and locked eyes at each other.
"You're still a wonderful kisser Logan." Rory told him while hugging him.
" And you are as beautiful as always." Logan told her while kissing her on her forehead.
"Promise me on thing." Rory asked him.
"Just name it Ace." Logan answered her.
"I want to take it slow this time and I know it's not the easiest thing to do but I don't want what happened in the past affect this new relationship." Rory told him.
"You mean like me proposing to you?" Logan asked her sadly.
"No, I mean all that happened during these eight and a half years since we last saw each other, I just want us to be more open to each other. Not holding things bottled up inside." Rory answered him while running her hand through his hair.
"I've missed your rants Ace." Logan told her while kissing her on the mouth.
"And I've missed you calling me Ace."Rory told him.
"Should we tell Finn? He's probably just sitting out there wondering what on earth we're talking about." Logan asked her.
"I guess we should tell him, since he probably already guessed it." Rory answered him while smiling.
Suddenly there was a knock on the bedroom and in came Finn curious about why Rory had been in there so long. When he saw Rory's big smile, he just sighed.
"So I guess congratulations are in order?" Finn asked them.
"Yes it is, we've decided to give this a second chance, we've realized that we have both missed what we used to have and we both thought we'd never see each other." Rory answered him while hugging Logan again.
"You two are hopeless, after all these years and you're back together again? Sure I'm happy for you, I'm even thrilled for you two. If someone can make it work the second time around it's you two." Finn told them while smiling.
"Thanks Finn, please don't tell the others? We'll tell them in time." Rory asked him while holding onto Logan's hand.
"Of course love, it's your thing to tell." Finn answered her.
"Thanks man." Logan told him.
After about an hour later Finn left the flat. Logan gently stood up from the bed then walked out from the bedroom and into the kitchen where Rory stood making some sandwiches. He walked up behind her and wrapped her arms around her waist.
"How are you feeling Logan?" Rory asked him while turning around.
"To be honest I'm actually feeling much better Ace. I can't thank you enough for being here." Logan answered her honestly.
"I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better Logan. You know I wouldn't be anywhere else." Rory told him while kissing him.
"I'm so lucky to have you in my life again." Logan told her while kissing her back.
"I never thought you and me would get a second chance." Rory told him honestly.
"We should tell the others Ace, I want everyone to know you're my girl again." Logan told her.
"We should, but I want us to wait until you're free of that nasty flue of yours." Rory told him while running her hand through his hair.
"You're right Ace, I should get back to normal before we start telling people." Logan told her.
"You sure you're feeling better Logan?" Rory asked him.
"I'm sure Ace, I just need some more rest." Logan answered her honestly.
