Reconnecting.
Chaper 12. Chicago.
While Logan was in the shower, Rory called her mom. After a few signals Lorelei picked up.
"That took you long enough." Lorelai told her.
"I'm sorry mom, we've just been busy since we landed." Rory told her.
"Busy huh?" Lorelai asked her.
"Not that kind of busy, I have shown Logan the apartment and just talked." Rory answered her.
"So how long are you staying in Chicago? I thought maybe you and Logan could come and visit soon?" Lorelai asked her.
"I thought we'd stay here just for a couple of days, I'd have to check with Logan about it but I'd love to come visit you and dad." Rory answered her.
"Well talk to Logan and call me later?" Lorelai asked her.
"Sure mom, give my love to dad!" Rory told her while hanging of the phone.
Rory laid down her phone and walked into the office and opened her laptop. And looked up the number for the restaurants number. After she found it, she dialed it and made reservations for two and 18.00. After she had made the reservation, she walked into the bathroom and saw Logan standing in front of the mirror in the towel around his waist. She leaned in the doorway.
"Like what you see Ace?" Logan asked her while smiling.
"Actually yes." Rory answered him while walking over and sat down on the bathtub side.
"Well you could had seen more if you had joined me in the shower." Logan teased her.
"Hush you, don't be mean." Rory told him.
"How were Lorelai and Christopher?" Logan asked her while starting to shave.
"They were great, actually mom wants us to come visit after we're done here in Chicago." Rory answered him.
"Oh? Sure why not?" Logan asked her surprised.
"I told mom I'd check with you first, we don't have to leave if you don't want to." Rory answered him honestly.
"It's just I haven't seen your parents in years, but if you want to don't let me stop it." Logan told her while finishing to shave.
"I really want to and I really want you to come with me. " Rory told him while standing up and walked over to Logan and wrapping her arms around him.
"After we're done here in Chicago, we'll go back to London and can pack new luggage and then we'll leave for your parents." Logan told her while turning around and kissed her.
"Since you're agreeing to this, then I guess I can find a way to repay you." Rory told him while smiling.
"Oh you have a way to repay me huh? Well that's the least you can do." Logan told her while laughing.
"Oh yes, you just wait." Rory told him.
"Btw have you made reservations at that place you were talking about earlier?" Logan asked her.
"Yes I did, we have our reservation at 18.00." Rory answered him while letting go of the grip she were holding.
"Great, btw are you gonna tell me where we're eating?" Logan asked her curiously.
"It's a surprise, you'll just have to wait and see. Rory answered him.
They walked out from the the bathroom and into the bedroom. Rory sat down on the bed.
"So what should we do for the next couple of hours?" Rory asked him.
"I don't know, what time is it?" Logan answered her.
"It's 14.30, we don't have to leave until 17.30." Rory told him.
"Maybe we could watch a movie or something?" Logan asked her.
"Sure, what do you feel like watching?" Rory answered him.
"Maybe Lethal Weapon?" Logan told her.
"Sure,
They turned on the tv and turned on the movie.
"Do you want some popcorn?" Rory asked him.
"Sure, maybe something to drink too?" Logan answered her while pausing the movie.
"I'll be right back." Rory told him while getting up from the couch and then walked into the kitchen.
She put the popcorn bag into the microwave, then took out two glasses then took out the orange juice. A few minutes later she walked back into the living room.
"Turn the movie back on?" Rory told him while putting down the popcorn and the glasses.
Logan turned the movie back on and took a handful of popcorn. Rory placed her head on Logan's shoulder. About an hour and thirty minutes later the movie ended. Logan turned of tv and got up from the couch.
"So should we get changed?" Rory asked him.
"I think we should, its 16.00." Logan answered her.
They walked into the bedroom, Rory opened her closet and started to try and find something to wear.
"I was thinking that while we're visiting my parents, maybe we should also try and visiting my grandparents?" Rory asked him while taking out a pair of black jeans, a white shirt and a light blue jacket.
"That sounds great, have you told your grandparents about us being back together?" Logan answered her while opening his bag and taking out some brown pants, a white shirt and a black jacket.
"Actually I haven't really had the time to told them.." Rory told him honestly.
"Why not Ace? Okey well stupid question it's Emily and Richard." Logan told her while smiling.
"I was gonna tell them, I just haven't had the time." Rory told him honestly.
"Aren't they going to be thrilled that we're back together after all there years." Logan asked her.
"Yeah you're right, they will be thrilled." Rory answered him while starting to change.
Logan stood there just watching her undress, he couldn't believe how stupid he had been when he had proposed he should have known she weren't ready. By proposing he had lost her for what he had thought would be forever.
"Enjoying the view Huntz?" Rory asked him with a smile.
"Oh yes very much." Logan answered her while walking over to her and kissing her on the mouth.
Rory kissed him back, the pulled away. Logan looked at her curiously.
"We will have all the time in the world to finish this later and I promise it will be worth it." Rory told him while putting her jacket on.
"Oh you have something in mind huh" Logan asked her while smiling.
30 minutes later they left the apartment building to get to the restaurant that they were going to eat at. Rory had grabbed Logan's hand after they had left the apartment.
Next chapter will involve a couple of days later, on their way to Hartford to visit Lorelei and Christopher. And hopefully we will get to meet Emily and Richard too.❤️
