Reconnecting.
Chapter 15. Reunion and a Surprise.
As they were pulling up Honor and Josh's driveway, Logan could see how nervous Rory was.
"Ace, this is going to go great. Honor will love to see you again." Logan told her.
"And if your parents are there?" Rory asked him.
"If they are here then we will deal with it, and if they start picking on you then I will defend you." Logan answered her while parking the car and then he kissed her on the cheek.
"And what are you? My knight in shining armor huh?" Rory asked him while kissing him back.
"Always ace." Logan answered her while grabbing the car keys and getting out from the car.
They walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later Honor opened the door.
"Rory! How are you?" Honor asked Rory while hugging her.
"I'm great Honor, you?" Rory answered her while returning the hug.
"I'm just great, come on in. Josh and the kids are waiting." Honor told them.
"What? Don't a get a hug from my own sister?" Logan asked while acting hurt.
"Fine, come here." Honor told him while hugging him.
They walked into the living room, where Josh and the two kids were.
"Who are these two kids? I don't remember you having children and I being a uncle." Logan said pretending.
"Uncle Logan!" The two children exlaimed happily.
"How are my favorite nephew and niece?" Logan asked while hugging them both.
"I've missed you uncle Logan." Sarah (the girl.) told Logan while hugging him.
"I've missed you too Sarah." Logan told her while lifting her up and hugged her.
"I've missed you two uncle Logan." Derek (the boy) told Logan while hugging him.
"I've missed you both. Kids this is my girlfriend Rory Gilmore." Logan told the kids whom happily said hello to Rory.
While Logan and Josh were talking and the kids were playing, Honor and Rory walked into the kitchen and began talking.
"So Honor, I have to ask, please tell me your parents aren't coming over."Rory asked Honor.
"Actually they have been quite for a couple of hours, so I hope that they aren't coming." Honor answered her honestly.
"Good, I'm not sure I want to be around your parents this soon after getting back with Logan after all these years." Rory told Honor honestly.
"I'm glad that you and Logan are back together, to be honest this is the happiest I've seen Logan since you two broke up." Honor told Rory while pouring two glasses of champagne.
"Yeah, Finn told me. I guess I just were to stubborn and busy with myself that I didn't really understand what he was going through." Rory told Honor sadly.
"That's all in the past Ror, you two are back together again and I couldn't be more happy for you two."Honor told Rory honestly.
"I just can't get these thoughts out of my mind that if I had said yes to Logan's marriage proposal then we hadn't spent these 8,5 years apart from each other." Rory told Honor while tearing up.
"You weren't ready Rory and to be honest I think Logan weren't ready. I think he proposed because he loved you and he felt like that was the next natural step in your relationship." Honor told her honestly.
"Yeah, I guess it was, I just weren't ready for that." Rory said honestly.
After Rory and Honor had been talking for almost 25 minutes, they grabbed four glasses of champagne and two juice boxes for the children. They walked out from the kitchen and into the living room again.
"What are we celebrating?" Logan asked Rory and Honor confused.
"We're celebrating that you and Rory are back together and that I finally have an old friend back." Honor answered him while handing out the glasses.
"Well I think this is the perfect way to celebrate."Josh said while raising his glass.
Rory sat down beside Logan and grabbed his hand.
"You okey ace?" Logan asked her concerned.
"Not really but we can talk about it later."Rory answered him.
"To Rory and Logan." Honor exlaimed.
"Thanks sis." Logan told Honor while drinking from his glass.
"It's nothing Logan, now I think the dinner is almost finished so if we all could move into the dining room." Honor told everyone.
They walked into the dining room and sat down by the table, Honor sat down beside Sarah and Josh beside Derek.
"In a way this is all so weird, last time I saw the two of you, you had almost just gotten married and now you have two children." Rory told Honor and Josh.
"I know time flies by so fast."Honor said.
About fifteen minutes after they had began eating, there was a knock on the front door. Honor sighed and excused herself, then she walked towards the hallway and opened the door.
"Mom, dad. What are you doing here? We weren't expecting you."Honor told her parents.
"Obviously not, we had to found out from Richard and Emily that our son are back together with their granddaughter." Shira said in a disliking tone.
"It wasn't my place to tell and to be honest it weren't Richard and Emily's place either." Honor told them while unwilling let Mitchum and Shira in.
Meanwhile in the dining room.
"Here comes the hurricane." Logan said while sighing.
"Why don't they ever give up? This is to early Logan, we have just gotten back together and you know what kind of questions they are going to ask. I used to be use to them but after 8.5 years I'm not used to them." Rory told Logan honestly.
"I know ace, but I'm not letting them make awful comments about you." Logan told her convincingly and while kissing her hand.
Suddenly Mitchum, Shira and Honor entered the dining room. Just by seeing Shira and Mitchum Huntzberger again after all these years made Rory uncomfortable.
"This looks like a cozy little gathering." Mitchum told them.
"Mom, dad what on earth are you doing here?" Logan asked his parents while trying to keep his cool.
"Well as I told Honor, neither you or felt like telling us that you are back together in this kind of relationship again." Mitchum told them.
"What do you mean by this kind of relationship?" Logan asked Mitchum while getting upset.
"This inappropriate relationship, that you did not learn your lesson the first time when you proposed and she turned you down. Or the fact that she isn't used to our lifestyle." Mitchum answered him.
"This is unbelievable, after all these years and you still don't approve of me.." Rory told Mitchum and Shira.
"Ace, we should leave. Honor, Josh we're sorry but I'll call you later." Logan told them while kissing Honor on her cheek.
"Honor, Josh it was great seeing you again." Rory told them.
"I'll call you later Ror."Honor told her while hugging her.
Rory and Logan said goodbye to Honor, Josh, Sarah and Derek and then they left. They walked out to the car and drive home. On their entire way back to Star Hollow, Logan and Rory didn't exchange a word with each other.
How will Mitchum and Shira's surprise visit affect Logan and Rory?
And after this will Logan and Rory attend the Friday night dinner with Emily and Richard?
