Reconnecting.
Chapter 18. Preparing For The Dinner.
After running in to Finn at the conference in London, Rory had began talking more to him than she had done the last couple of years. Sure she had talked to him from time to time, but not as much as she did now.
She suddenly got interrupted by Logan, when he placed his hands on her shoulders.
"I was wondering where you was." Logan told her while sitting down beside her.
"I didn't want to wake you, so I went out here for a while." Rory told him while kissing him on his cheek.
"You okey sweetie?" Logan asked her while grabbing her hand.
"Yeah, I just have a lot on my mind that's all." Rory answered him honestly.
"Tell me? We're supposed to share these things remember?" Logan told her while getting worried.
"Actually I've just been thinking about this last two months. Sure we've solved this now but, I couldn't bear losing you, I didn't feel like I could do a long distance relationship again. I know how hard it was the first time that we had to live apart from each other, when your father forced you to move to London for a year after your graduation." Rory told him while placing her head on his shoulder.
"Aww Ace, I didn't know you had all this in your head. Believe me I know how hard, it was living apart from each other. And that is why I'm happy that we've solved this on where and how we should live." Logan told her while kissing her on the top of her head.
"I love you." Rory told him while looking up at him.
"I love you too ace, nothing will ever change that again." Logan told her honestly.
"Btw when are we meeting Finn and Rosemary today?" Rory asked him.
"We didn't decide a specific time but I'll text him later and check." Logan told her.
They continued sitting outside on the porch for another 30 minutes, just sitting there enjoying each other's company. Later they walked back into the house and saw both Christopher and Lorelai were awake.
"Good morning, mom and dad." Rory greeted them.
"Good morning guys. Did you sleep well?" Lorelai asked them while making coffee.
"Yes we did." Logan answered her while hugging Rory from the behind.
"Btw Logan and I wont be here for dinner tonight, we're meeting Finn and Rosemary in New York." Rory told her parents.
"The Australian." Lorelai said while laughing.
"Yes the Australian." Rory said while sitting down by the kitchen table.
"The Australian?" Asked a confused Logan.
"I'll explain to you later." Rory answered him.
Suddenly Rory's phone buzzed, she took up the phone from her pocket. She saw it was Rosemary.
"Hey Ror, change of plans. We were wondering if you and Logan wouldn't mind coming to our place instead?" ~ Rosemary.
"Sure, we don't mind. It's just great that we're all able to meet up again." ~ Rory.
"We wore thinking that maybe we could meet at our place at 17.30? ~ Rosemary.
"That sounds great, do you need us to bring something?" ~ Rory.
"Only if you feel like it, I don't mind." ~ Rosemary.
"I'll see you in a few hours, give my love to your boyfriend." ~ Rory.
"I will, see you soon Ror." ~ Rosemary.
Rory put down her phone and looked at Logan.
"That was Rosemary, we will meet up at their place instead and be hang there instead." Rory told him while drinking from her glass.
"That's great, we should bring them something." Logan told her.
"I was thinking we'd might bring a bottle of wine?" Rory suggested to him.
"That's a great idea, btw did they say a time we would come?" Logan asked her while standing up from the chair.
"We're invited to 17.30, so we need to leave here at 15.00, if we should make it in time." Rory told him.
"Or we don't have to drive, we can always use my helicopter?" Logan asked her while grabbing his phone.
"Wait, what? Since when do you own a helicopter?" Rory asked him surprised.
"Since I became the head of the company, I even own a jet." Logan answered her while grabbing his phone.
"There is so much more I have to learn about you." Rory said while kissing him on his cheek.
"Well I'll call my helicopter driver and ask him to pick us up in New Heaven." Logan told her while dialing the pilot.
Rory walked into her room and started to look for something to wear, to no luck.
She walked back into the kitchen.
"Mom, I have nothing to wear for tonight, can I borrow something from you?" Rory asked Lorelai.
"Sure Ror, it's been a while since we've borrowed each other's clothes." Lorelai answered her.
"Thanks mom!" Rory thanked her while running upstairs.
Once upstairs, in her parents walk in closet. Rory started to looking for something to wear.
About 25 minutes later, she actually found something.
She took the dress, jacket, the earrings, the bracelet and the leggings then she walked back downstairs.
"Thanks mom, I'll borrow this dress, this jacket and a bracelet and earrings." Rory told Lorelai while walking into the bedroom.
"And shoes?" Lorelai asked her.
"I have a pair of shoes in mind." Rory answered her.
"The pilot will pick us up in New Haven at 14.30 later today." Logan told her while putting down his phone into his pocket.
"Great, btw is it weird that I'm nervous to meet Finn and Rosemary again." Rory asked him.
"No it's not weird ace." Logan answered her while kissing her on her cheek.
3,5 hours later Rory and Logan decided to start and get dressed since the clock were 12.30.
Rory changed into the dress, she also put on the earrings, the bracelet and the leggings. Then she grabbed the purse and held the black jacket on her arm.
She put on the shoes at last. She stopped in front of the mirror and took a deep breath.
"Wow ace, you look beautiful." Logan told her while walking into the room.
"Thank you, and why aren't you ready?" Rory asked him while smiling.
"I will ace, I just got an emergency call from work." Logan answered her while getting his clothes out.
25 minutes later they were both finished, Rory had just finished putting on her makeup.
"Ace, should we bring something?" Logan asked her while putting on his jacket.
"I think we should at least bring flowers for Rosemary and a wine bottle for Finn?" Rory answered him while walking into the kitchen.
"Do you have a bottle of wine, we can bring to Finn and Rosemary?" Rory asked Lorelai.
"White or red?" Lorelai answered her.
"Red and btw do you mind if I go out to the garden and pick some flowers?" Rory asked her.
"Sure Ror, I'll grab the wine." Lorelai answered her.
30 minutes later Rory and Logan were out of the door and on their way to New Heaven. Where they were picked up by the helicopter and flown to New York.
