Chapter 19. To Old Friends and To Reconnecting Again. Part 1.
When they arrived outside Finn and Rosemary apartment. Logan knocked on the apartment door. Seconds later Rosemary opened the door.
"Rory! Finally!" Rosemary exlaimed while hugging her.
"It's really been forever." Rory told her while hugging her back.
"Logan, how are you?" Rosemary asked him while hugging Logan.
"I'm great Rosemary, you?" Logan answered her while walking into the apartment.
"Well finally you guys are here." Finn said while hugging Rory.
"Very funny man." Logan told him while giving him a bro hug.
"We've brought some wine for you Finn and flowers for Rosemary as thanks for inviting us." Rory told them while handing the flowers to Rosemary.
"I still can't believe that after all these years you and Logan found each other again." Rosemary told Rory while pulling Rory into the kitchen.
"Neither can I, It feels weird in a way but good weird." Rory told her while sitting down by the kitchen island.
"So Finn told me you're living in Chicago now days." Rosemary told her.
"Yes and Logan in London, we first didn't know how to do with where to live." Rory told her.
"Did you figure out how to do?" Rosemary asked her while handing her a glass of wine.
"Yes we did, we will spend 6 months in London and 6 months in Chicago, in that way we don't need to have a long distance relationship. Which there is no way I'm doing again." Rory answered her while drinking from her glass.
"I'm glad you figured that out, what are you going to do with your apartment when you guys are in London?" Rosemary asked her.
"I'm actually considering renting it out for the months we're in London and if I should have to fly back to Chicago for work then I'd just stay in a hotel." Rory answered her while drinking for her glass.
Meanwhile in the living room.
"So how are things between you and reporter girl?" Finn asked Logan while sitting down on the couch.
"Things are actually going great with Rory, we decided not to have a long distance relationship so we're going to spend 6 months in London and 6 months in Chicago." Logan answered him while sitting down on the couch.
"I understand why you guys don't want to have a long distance relationship again, after you moved to London and we both know what you and Rory went through." Finn told him.
"I'm never doing that again, I'm not losing her again." Logan told him.
Back in the kitchen.
"It's really great that we could get together again. Btw how come Finn and Colin doesn't speak as much as they used to do?" Rory asked Rosemary while helping her stirring the sauce.
"I know I've missed this. To make a long story short after a while of dealing with Logan and all he was going through, Colin got tired of it. He grew out of their friendship, he got together with Stephanie and after a while they moved to Germany and Finn resented him for leaving Logan when he needed them the most." Rosemary answered her while opening the oven.
"So in a way it's my fault for them growing apart." Rory said while sighing.
"It's not your fault, Colin made the decision himself. I just wish the two of them could make up again. " Rosemary told her honestly.
"Do Logan and Colin still talk?" Rory asked her.
"I think they still do and Finn only talked to Colin that night in London when Logan got the flu." Rosemary answered her.
"Everything was so much easier back in collage." Rory told her.
"Well except you taking time of after the incident with Mitchum." Rosemary told her while laughing.
"Yes except that." Rory laughed.
20 minutes later they were sitting down at the table and were talking and eating. Suddenly Finn raised his glass.
"To old friends and to reconnecting again, no matter the years that has gone by." Finn said.
"To old friends." The other said after Finn.
"I never thought when me and Logan broke up that we would be sitting here together again after all these years." Rory told them while looking at Logan.
Suddenly Finn excused himself from the table much to Logan and Rory's surprise. Rosemary knew what he were going to do.
"Where is he going?" Logan asked Rosemary curiously.
"We have a little surprise for you two." Rosemary answered him.
Both Logan and Rory looked at each other curiously.
A few minutes later Finn came back into the room holding onto something.
"We thought that you'd like this picture back, going back in time." Rosemary said while standing up beside Finn.
Finn turned the frame around, showing a picture of Logan and Rory at Rory's first Life and death brigade advent.
"Omg.. It's like going back in time, look how young we were." Rory said while looking at the picture.
"There is only one thing I regret about that day." Logan told them sighing.
"What is that?" Rosemary asked him.
"That I didn't kiss Ace." Logan answered her.
"Well you have clearly had the chance multiple times since that day. And actually that was the moment I realized that I was really falling in love with you." Rory told him while grabbing his hand and looked at him.
"I love you ace." Logan told her while kissing her on mouth.
"I love you too." Rory told him.
"Thank you so much guys for this." Logan thanked them.
45 minutes later they started to clear the table and began taking out the dessert.
"Thank you so much again Finny for the picture, it meant so much to me." Rory told him honestly.
"It is nothing love, to be honest that's one of my favorite LBD adventures, because you were there and I knew from the start that you and Logan were meant for each other even if you two didn't see it." Finn told her honestly.
"I can't believe it's been almost 13 years since that picture was taken." Rory told him.
"The time since college has just flown by." Finn said.
"Yes it has, btw Rosemary told me about you and Colin. I can't help but think that is partly my fault." Rory told him honestly.
"It is not your fault love, me and Colin just grew apart and when he decided to move with Stephanie to Germany, we just slipped further and further away." Finn told her honestly while hugging her.
"Why didn't you just tell me this before Finn? All those times we meet up and we talked you never once mentioned what had happened." Rory asked him concerned.
"I guess I never really realized how much that had hurt me, I didn't feel like bringing it up considering what you were going through." Finn answered her honestly.
"I didn't want you feel like you couldn't talk to me when all I did was talking to you about everything." Rory told him while hugging him.
"I should have told you, I know that. It's just I knew Colin for so long and I guess I was in denial about it." Finn told her honestly.
Suddenly they were interrupted by Rosemary calling them to dessert.
"We'll talk about later okey?" Rory asked him.
"Sure love, I've missed talking to you." Finn answered her.
How will the rest of the evening go?
