Reconnecting.
Chapter 29. The Old Gang Again, Part I.
Two days later, Rory and Logan had decided to invite the old gang to the house. They didn't feel comfortable leaving Mitchum alone. They had sent out a message in their group chat, asking what the others thought. They all thought it was a great idea and they completely understood why Logan and Rory didn't feel comfortable leaving Mitchum alone.
Rory had stayed back at the house, getting things ready for the night with the gang while Logan had gone with Mitchum to his doctors appointment. About thirty minutes after they had left, there had been a knock on the door. Rory had gone to open it, there stood the last person she had expected to see.
"What the hell are you doing here?"Shira asked Rory angrily.
"Logan and I are staying here since we are taking care of Mitchum."Rory answered her calmly.
"And where is he?"Shira asked her while trying to make her way into the house.
"To be honest Shira that is not your business anymore."Rory answered her while trying to prevent Shira from coming in.
"It's not my business?! He is still legally my husband and this is still my house."Shira told Rory angrily while pushing her aside.
"It might still be your house, but you don't live here anymore and Mitchum still stands as owner for this house."Rory told Shira while now also getting pissed.
"What are you going to do about it?"Shira asked her angrily.
"Just get out of here before I call the cops, you know they will take Mitchum's word over yours. You're a nobody next to Mitchum."Rory answered her while grabbing the phone.
"This will not be the last time you'll see me."Shira screamed while slamming the door after her.
"I don't expect anything else from you."Rory thought to herself.
She unlocked her phone and texted Logan.
"Your mother is unbelievable.."~Rory.
"What has she done this time..? ~Logan
"She just stormed into the house, saying this was still her house and Mitchum is still legally her husband.."~Rory.
"Wait, she was at the house? Are you okey ace?"~ Logan.
"Yes, I managed to get rid of her about 10 minutes ago. I'm fine Logan, just pissed of."~Rory.
"Me and dad is almost finished here, so we will be home in about thirty minutes. I love you and I'm sorry you had to deal with my mother alone."~Logan.
"I love you too, there was nothing you could have done. By the way how did the appointment go?"~Rory.
"Dad's blood pressure is through the roof, he's running a higher risk for another heart attack.. He is not allowed to be stressed about anything, since that can be a factor for a heart attack."~ Logan.
"I'm sorry baby, I know this hard for you. But it's a good thing that Mitchum is coming back with us. He has to get away from everything around here, especially Shira."~Rory.
"You are the greatest girlfriend ever Rory. I'll see you soon and then I'm gonna kiss you like hell."~ Logan.
"I can't wait to see you. Give my love to Mitchum."~ Rory
Rory put her phone down in her pocket and walked towards the kitchen to cheek on the food.
"Is everything under control?"Rory asked the chef Antonia.
"Yes . To start we have toast with avocado and shrimp, then the head menu we have chicken rolled in bacon, mushroom sauce with pasta. Then for desert we have a cheesecake and raspberry."The chef Antonia answered her.
"That sound absolutely amazing."Rory told her.
About an hour later, Mitchum and Logan came home after Mitchum's doctors visit.
"We're back ace."Logan announced while taking of his coat.
"Finally, how did it go?"Rory asked Mitchum while kissing Logan on his cheek.
"It went okey."Mitchum answered her while walking into the living room.
After Mitchum had left, Rory looked at Logan.
"He's not doing good ace, I think it was hard for him to hear what the doctor had to say."Logan told her while pulling his hand through his hair.
"I'm glad we're leaving the day after needs to get away from here, especially since the chances are high that your mother will show up here again. I'm not sure he will be able to handle an encounter with her."Rory told him honestly while touching Logan's cheek.
"Have I ever told you how grateful I am for having you in my life."Logan asked her while moving in closer and kissed her on her mouth.
"Well yes but I don't mind hearing it again."Rory answered him while kissing him back.
Three hours later both Logan and Rory had gotten changed and was now waiting for their friends to arrive.
"Is everything fixed for tonight?"Rory asked Logan.
"Yes, Antonia says the food is almost done and I've taken out the wine and everything done."Logan answered her while straightening his tie.
Suddenly the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it babe."Rory told Logan while walking over to the door and opened it.
"Finny, Rosemary, it's been too long."Rory greeted them while hugging them both.
"It has been love, how's everything?"Finn asked her while returning the hug.
"Everything is okey, despite everything."Rory answered him.
"How's Logan?"Rosemary asked Rory while taking her coat of.
"I'm fine Rosemary, and if I may say so you're glowing."Logan answered Rosemary while kissing her on the cheek.
"You may and thanks, I'm glad to here that Logan. You know we're all worried about you."Rosemary told him.
They walked into the living room, Logan served them all drinks except for Rosemary whom just had a sparkling water.
"Are you and Finn gonna find out the gender?"Rory asked Rosemary.
"We're thinking of finding out."Rosemary answered her while drinking her water.
Fifteen minutes later Colin and Stephanie arrived. They all sat in the living room until Logan and Rory showed them into the dining room.
"This looks delicious."Colin told them.
"It's all thanks to Mitchum's great chief, she's amazing."Rory told them.
After they had finished the first course, Rory excused herself.
"I'm just going to check on Mitchum, I'll be right back."Rory told them while walking out from the room.
She walked upstairs and walked into Mitchum's bedroom. He was sitting in the bed and reading.
"How are you feeling Mitchum?"Rory asked him while sitting on the end of the bed.
"I'm feeling alright, as long as I don't move to much and just relax."Mitchum answered her honestly.
"Have you taken you medication today?"Rory asked him.
"I have yes, I'm sure Logan has told you what the doctor told me at the appointment today."Mitchum answered her while laying down his book.
"He did yes, and I that's why I'm relieved that you are coming back to London with us."Rory told him.
Meanwhile downstairs.
"How are things between Mitchum and Rory?"Stephanie asked Logan.
"Actually it's going good, dad has apologized for the way he has been acting the last couple of years. These last few weeks Rory has been really helpful with helping with dad."Logan answered her while drinking from his glass.
"How is your relationship with him now?"Finn asked him.
"It's actually better then ever, we get more along with each other."Logan answered him honestly.
