Chapter 30. The Old Gang Again, Part II
After they had finished all three courses, they all went outside on the patio.
"So what do you all say about trying to plan an another Life & Death Brigade event soon?"Finn asked them.
"It sound like an amazing idea, I haven't been at one in forever."Rory answered Finn.
"The last one that all three of us guys attended was back before you and Rory broke up."Colin told Logan.
"We really need to plan a LDB event, I miss the thrill."Stephanie told the other honestly.
"Maybe an recreation of the jumping event back in college?"Rosemary suggested.
"That would be awesome, and this time Ace will be more prepared for it."Logan told them while looking at Rory.
"Well the last time I wasn't prepared because you hadn't told me anything. You just blindfolded me and didn't say anything about the event."Rory told Logan while smiling.
"Now where was the fun in telling you?"Logan told her while laughing.
"Logan wasn't the only one whom didn't tell you anything, Colin and I didn't say anything else."Finn told Rory while drinking from his glass.
"But how Logan managed to get that beautiful dress without measuring Rory or without her ever trying it, I will never understand."Stephanie told them.
"I never really understood that myself. But the dress was really beautiful."Rory said while walking over to Logan and sitting down beside him.
"What can I say? I have a talent for dress measures."Logan told them while kissing Rory on her cheek.
"I wish I would have kept it."Rory told Logan while grabbing his hand.
"And you did look hot in it, if I say so myself."Logan told her while smiling.
"I've been meaning to ask you Logan, how is your Shira taking the news of Mitchum filing for divorce?"Rosemary asked Logan while drinking from her glass.
"Well I think Ace can answer that better than me."Logan answered her much to the others confusion.
"Shira came over here a few hours ago while Logan were with Mitchum at his doctor's appointment. She pushed her way into the house and she was angry."Rory explained to the others.
"What did she say?"Stephanie asked her.
"Like she's still legally Mitchum's wife, this was still her house and a lot of other stuff."Rory answered her while drinking from her wine glass."
"She's unbelievable, no offense Logan but honestly."Colin told them honestly.
"It's fine, I know how she is. Believe it or not I'm actually a little relieved that dad had the courage to file for divorce from mom. He need this."Logan told them honestly.
Three hours later Finn,Rosemary, Colin and Stephanie left. They had decided to begin planning for another LBD event.
After they had left Rory and Logan sat outside on the patio and were relaxing together.
"You're very quiet ace, you okey?" Logan asked Rory while hugging her hand.
"I'm just a little nervous for tomorrow, are you sure Honor is okey with us taking Mitchum with us to London?"Rory answered him while placing her head on his shoulder.
"She is sure, she promised me that she, Josh and the kids will come over to London regularly."Logan told her honestly.
"I'm just nervous that's all."Rory told Logan honestly.
"Everything will be fine ace, I'm so thankful for having you in my life."Logan told her honestly while kissing her on her cheek.
"Is he sleeping?"Rory asked Logan.
"I think he is and we should actually go to sleep, we have things to get done tomorrow before we leave tomorrow."Logan answered her while getting up.
"We should go to sleep, by the way are you packed for tomorrow?"Rory asked him while also getting up.
They grabbed each other's hands, walked back into the house and went upstairs. On their way to their room, they checked into Mitchum's room and saw that he was sleeping. They walked into the room that they had been staying in for the last couple of weeks.
"To be honest that it's going to be nice to getting back home and getting back to work again."Rory told Logan honestly while getting into the bed.
"Actually I've been meaning to talk to you about work."Logan told her while removing his watch.
"Hmm? I'm intrigued."Rory asked him while putting her hair in a bun.
"I was thinking that we could maybe merge our two companies? Well I assume you have to talk with your partners."Logan suggested to her while also getting into the bed.
"That actually sounds like a great idea, but there is one thing that would be even better would be if I would quit at my job in Chicago. And I would join you as a partner as your company?"Rory suggested to him.
"That would be an amazing idea, I'd love that. But are you willing to give up everything that you have worked for in Chicago?"Logan asked her while looking at her.
"I mean I know I have worked a long time to get where I am, but if this meant that we wouldn't have to spend six months in London and six months in Chicago."Rory answered him honestly.
"I thought you were fine with this, switching every sixth month."Logan asked her surprised.
"And I am don't get me wrong, it would just be easier."Rory answered him honestly.
"So you would to give up everything you've worked for, just to be my partner at my company?"Logan asked her.
"Yes I would because nothing means more to me than being in your life and I would love to be working side by side with you."Rory answered him while kissing him on his mouth.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way than working with you."Logan told her honestly.
"Let's get everything settled when we get back to London."Rory suggested to him.
"That sounds like a plan ace, to be honest I never thought that you and I would be working together."Logan told her honestly.
"I never thought you would end up at the family business and running it no less."Rory told him.
"Neither did I, but when dad first got sick I knew that I had to step up."Logan told her while looking at her.
"I know you did what was right and I actually admire you for stepping up."Rory told him honestly.
15 minutes later they said goodnight to each other and then soon both fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning.
Rory was abruptly awoken by the alarm that she had set the night before. She needed to make sure that they would not oversleep and miss their flight. Then she remembered that they wouldn't miss their flight because Logan owned the jet.
