Reconnecting.
Chapter 31.
A few hours later Logan,Rory & Mitchum was on their way to London. Mitchum fallen asleep just as they left ground. While Mitchum was sleeping, Rory and Logan had been discussing how to do with their companies.
"I am willing to give up my position at the company just to be able to work with you."Rory told Logan honestly while opening a bottle of cider.
"I would love that too, I just don't want you to regret your decision to give up your company."Logan told her honestly.
"The chance of regretting giving up my company is pretty small, because working with you would even better than having the company."Rory told him while touching his hand.
"I would like nothing more than be working with you ace. I'm just worried about you regretting it and blaming me for it."Logan told her honestly.
"Hey, I will not regret this. Because working with you beats everything else."Rory told him while looking at him.
"Are you sure Rory? The last thing I want is for you to change your mind."Logan told her.
"I'm sure babe, and would I regret this then I will only have myself to blame."Rory told him honestly while kissing him on his cheek.
"What do you think Christopher and Lorelai will think about you giving up all you've worked for and joining me?"Logan asked her.
"They might not be happy, but this decision is between you and I. To be completely honest with you, I only care about what you think."Rory answered him while touching his cheek.
"Can we decide on leaving a few days to think about this? To really think this through."Logan suggested to her.
"It's a deal."Rory told him while kissing him on his mouth.
Four and a half hours later they landed in London. For the first time in almost 1,5 months Logan and Rory was back home and this time with Mitchum. They walked out from the plane and got into the car where they waited until their luggage had been put in the trunk.
"How are you feeling dad?"Logan asked Mitchum while holding on to Rory's hand.
"I'm actually feeling better than I've done in weeks."Mitchum answered him truthfully.
"I'm glad to hear that dad."Logan told him.
"Once we get back to the apartment, we will get you settled in the room."Rory told Mitchum.
20 minutes later they arrived outside the apartment building.
"It's great to be home again babe."Rory told Logan while grabbing his hand.
"Yes it is Ace."Logan told her.
They walked into the apartment building and walked towards the elevators. Few minutes later they arrived at their floor. Rory took up her key and unlocked the key.
"Home sweet home, welcome to our place Mitchum."Rory said while putting the bags she was holding on, on the floor.
"Thank you Rory, it's quite a place son."Mitchum told them while taking of his shoes.
"You help your father and I will order something for us to eat and then I'll call mom."Rory suggested to Logan.
"That sounds like a plan Ace."Logan told her.
"What are you in the mood for to eat?"Rory asked Mitchum.
"Maybe I'm not the one to ask, I never eat junk food."Mitchum answered her.
"Well maybe junk food isn't the best food to eat but only for tonight then tomorrow I will be doing the cooking."Logan told Mitchum.
"Either pizza or Chinese food?"Mitchum suggested to them.
"Chinese food it is." Rory said while taking up her phone and dialing the Chinese place.
Mitchum and Logan walked into the room where Mitchum would sleep while Rory ordered food.
After she had ordered the food, Rory dialed her mom's number.
"You have reached Lorelai Gilmore/Hayden, I can't take your call right now. Leave your name after the pipe and I will get back to you as soon as I can."Lorelai's voicemail sounded.
"It's me mom, just wanted to let you guys know that we're back in London again and I have something to tell you, call me back when you can?"Rory said while ending the call.
After she had ended the call, she joined Logan and Mitchum in the guest bedroom.
"How is everything going in here?"Rory asked them.
"Everything is going great, I have almost unpacked dad's luggage."Logan answered her.
"I offered to help."Mitchum stated.
"I know dad, but it is for the best if you just take it easy and let me and Rory do it."Logan told Mitchum.
"Logan is right Mitchum, you need to take it easy."Rory told Mitchum.
"How was Lorelai and Christopher?"Logan asked her while changing the subject.
"I got her voicemail, I'll call her later. By the way the food will be here in 25 minutes."Rory answered him.
A few hours later, Mitchum had taken his medication and gone to bed.
"How are you dealing with all of this babe?"Rory asked Logan while turning the volume on the tv down.
"It's still a lot, I really never expected this to happen."Logan answered her honestly.
"Neither did I, but I'm so proud of you for stepping up and being here for your dad."Rory told him while grabbing his hand.
"If anyone should be proud it's me, the way you have taken charge and being here. After everything dad put you through all those years ago."Logan told her.
"It's in the past, and to be honest I did it for both you and Mitchum."Rory told him.
"I see that, you made me realize how important family is. If we hadn't been together I doubt I would even had gone to visit dad when he were in the coma."Logan told her truthfully.
"I love you so much."Rory told him while hugging him.
"And I love you Ace."Logan told her while kissing her on the mouth.
"I've been thinking about what we've discussed and I want to give up my position at the company in Chicago. I want us to work together and I want to be your partner."Rory told Logan determined.
"Really? I want that too Ace, me and you working together. If I remember correctly you were one very talented editor at Yale."Logan told her while looking at her while smiling.
"So I guess it's decided, we will be partners."Rory said while smiling.
"I'm looking forward to working with you partner. We will get everything in order on Monday, all the paper work."Logan told her while leaning in and kissed her passionately.
It's decided Logan & Rory will become partners. But how will Lorelai react to Rory and Logan's decision?
