Chapter 35. An Amazing Surprise, Part I.
That afternoon, Rory had been laying in bed reading when suddenly Logan came in with a tray of strawberries dipped in chocolate and two glasses with sparkling non-alcoholic cider.
"Babe, what is all this?"Rory asked him surprised.
"Well this is my way of apologizing for how I behaved last night."Logan answered her while putting down the tray.
"There is nothing that you have to apologize for, you have been under a lot of stress these past few months. I wished you had talked to me about how you were feeling."Rory told him while putting her hand on his hand.
"Well that's over now, because I realize that I have to talk to you more. I can't keep holding everything in."Logan told her while handing her one of the glasses.
"I'm glad to hear you say that Logan."Rory told him while leaning forward to give him a kiss.
"I mean it Ace, you are often the only one that I feel I can talk to. Though it's not always easy for me to talk to you, believe me I will try harder."Logan finished while leaning in to kiss her.
They leaned in for a passionate kiss and seconds later they pulled apart again.
"You, Logan Huntzberger are an amazing kisser."Rory told him out of breath.
"You're not so bad yourself there Ace."Logan told her with a smile on his face.
"I think this deserves a toast."Rory told him while raising her glass.
"It does. To my beautiful fiancé and our little bean, may this be the beginning to the rest of our lives."Logan said while raising his glass.
"And to my fiancé who will be a wonderful father to our bean."Rory told him while raising her glass.
"I love you ace, I could not have managed these last months."Logan told her.
"I love you too Logan, I would not have been anywhere else but being there for you."Rory told her while putting down his glass.
Suddenly Logan's phone buzzed. He grabbed it and saw it was Finn.
"If we should stay on schedule, we should leave in 30 minutes."~ Finn.
"Yeah you are right, we were just celebrating."~ Logan.
"Celebrating with out us? I'm offended huntz 😂."~Finn.
"Don't worry, we will have a chance at celebrating tonight."~Logan.
"Great, see you in 30 minutes."~Finn.
Logan laid down his phone laughing.
"What's so funny?"Rory asked him.
"Finn, he acted hurt when I told him we were celebrating. But I told him we would be celebrating tonight."Logan answered her.
"We can celebrate, but not too much. Please promise me that tonight will not be a repeat of last night."Rory told him while grabbing his hand.
"I promise you ace, now we have to get ready. We are meeting the guys in 30 minutes."Logan promised her.
30 minutes later Rory and Logan walked out from the elevator in the lobby. Where the others were waiting.
"Since we're all here, I say let's get the party started."Colin announced.
"When we get to our first location, we will change in to some other clothes."Stephanie followed.
"Change clothes? I didn't know we had to change. I were only in on planing the dates."Rory asked them confused.
"Well love, this after all your first life & death brigade event in a few years and we want to this as special as possible."Finn answered her.
"Now let's go, we have a party to get to."Logan told them while grabbing Rory's hand.
They walked out of the hotel and got into a car that was waiting for them. Fifteen minutes later they arrived at their first location. They got out from the car and walked into the building.
"We will meet back here in 45 minutes."Stephanie told the others while dragging Rory and Rosemary with her.
They walked into to the most beautiful room filled with different dresses.
"Before you start looking for dresses Ror, we already have your dress picked out."Rosemary told Rory.
"What?"Rory asked them.
"This is your dress Rory."Stephanie answered her while taking out a dress.
"No way, how did you guys pulled this off."Rory asked them surprised.
"We have our ways. Now go try it on."Stephanie answered her.
Rory walked into a changing room and got changed. Before she walked back out, she stopped in front of the mirror and admired herself. "This dress is just like the one that I wore to my first ever life and death brigade event, all those years ago."Rory thought to herself. A few seconds later she walked out from the changing room.
"How on earth did you find this?"Rory asked them in shock.
"Well we have our ways, but we will never reveal them."Stephanie answered her.
"Does Logan know about this?"Rory asked them.
"No, he doesn't, so this will be a surprise for him to."Rosemary answered her.
A few minutes later Stephanie and Rosemary had changed into their dresses and the three ladies walked out to meet up with the boys.
"You ladies look wonderful."Finn told them.
"Omg ace, that dress is just like the one you wore all those years ago."Logan told Rory breathless.
"I can't believe you guys managed to pull this dress of."Rory told Finn and the others.
"Well we have our ways, now it's of to our last stop of the evening."Finn told the others.
"Can you guys please tell us where we're going?"Rory asked them.
"Well we are going to a ballroom, 10 minutes from here."Colin announced.
They walked out to the car and drove to their next location. When they arrived, there was a few people gathered outside. When Rory got out of the car, she saw that it was her mom and dad, her grandparents Emily & Richard, Paris and Lane.
"What are all of you doing here?"Rory asked them in shock while hugging Lorelei and Christopher.
"I asked them here, Ace."Logan told her while smiling.
"Why?"Rory asked while continuing to hug Emily and Richard.
"Well actually, I don't want to wait to be your husband. I want to marry you now."Logan answered her while walking over to her.
"Omg Logan, I don't want to wait either. I just want to be you wife."Rory told him while putting her hands around his neck.
"I love you."Logan said while kissing her on her mouth.
"But how did you manage to pull this off? After everything we planned for the Life & Death Brigade Event?"Rory asked him as they pulled apart.
"I had this in mind all along, the gang and your family were all apart of it."Logan answered her while looking over to Rory's parents.
"You were apart of this too?"Rory asked Paris and Lane.
"Yes we were and it was the hardest secret I ever had to keep."Paris answered her.
"But the best secret."Lane added.
"So what do you say Ace?"Logan asked her.
"You jump I jump Jack right?"Rory answered him while smiling.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get this show going."Finn announced.
They all walked into the ballroom and it was the most beautiful ballroom Rory had ever seen.
"Logan.. how did you do all this?"Rory asked him in shock.
"I had help from our friends."Logan answered her.
"It's beautiful Logan, you guys did a wonderful thing."Lorelei told Logan while holding Christopher's hand.
"I agree with Lorelei, it's absolutely amazing."Christopher added.
"I'm glad you like it, I wanted it to be perfect for Rory."Logan told them.
30 minutes later it was time, Rory would become Huntzberger. As she approached the aisle, she was joined by her father Christopher whom would walk her down the aisle.
"You ready kiddo?"Christopher asked her while grabbing her arm.
"Just don't let me fall."Rory answered him nervously.
"Wouldn't dream of it."Christopher told her calmly.
As they were walking down the aisle, Rory could see so many familiar faces. She saw Mitchum Huntzberger (whom she already had seen, but seeing him made her even happier.)
There was Luke and his wife Anna and their daughter April, Sookie and Jackson and their two children.
As she approached Logan, she could see the tears coming down his face. Christopher kissed Rory on her cheek, shook Logan's hand then handed Rory off to him.
Logan and Rory looked into each other's eyes.
It had been decided that Finn would marry them. A few seconds later Finn began talking.
"We are gathered here today for the wedding of two of my best friends, Logan and Rory. Everything began all those years ago in college. I will never forget when Logan told me and Colin, that he had meet this girl. He called her Ace, and naturally we thought it was just a fling like everything else. But then he brought her to one of the LDB events and we knew he was serious. Now here we are." Finn begun.
He looked at Logan signaling it was his turn.
"My Rory, my Ace. God you mean the world to me. When we broke up, I was nothing, I was completely empty. But when you came into my life again I knew I could never let you go again. When you agreed to marry me, I knew that I would never lose you ever again."Logan spoke.
Rory couldn't manage to hold back her tears when he finished his speech. Now it was her turn.
"Logan, I never thought I would be standing here in front of our friends and family getting married to you. The absolute true love of my life. Without you I'm empty, you have made me whole again."Rory finished.
"Logan, do you take Rory to be your wife, to love and to hold. In sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"Finn asked Logan.
"I do. Logan answered while grabbing the ring and putting on Rory's finger.
"Rory, do you take Logan to be your husband, to love and to hold. In sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"Finn asked Rory.
"I do." Rory answered while putting the ring in Logan's finger.
"By the power invested by the wedding online registration, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss."Finn announced.
Logan and Rory leaned in to kiss each other, and as soon as their lips meet, everyone clapped their hand.
"I give you Mr. and Mrs. Logan Huntzberger."Finn said.
Next chapter will involve the wedding reception.
This wasn't exactly what I had in mind for the LDB event but I got inspiration and changed. I hope you like it💕And I'm sorry for taking soo long to update..
PS/ I know that the dress I picked isn't the one Rory wore in the first life and death brigade, but I decided to put my own spin on what dress she wore.
