Present Day...
Within the spooky forest near Hotel Transylvania, a flying bat gently landed on the grassy ground and transformed into his human form. The old vampire was also accompanied by his 3 vampire family.
VLAD: Ah, Lydia, Gene, Klaus! I'm pleased you could all make it!
LYDIA: Of course, father. Anything for you. I just can't believe that Dracula let my niece marry a human!
KLAUS: (*chuckle) I can't wait to see what kind of ridiculous family that Mavis has married into. (*laughs) this is going to be hilarious!
VLAD: Klaus, don't say things like that. I'm telling you, Drac showed me that all humans aren't bad anymore and you're really gonna love little Denisovich. He's the sweetest and kindest little boy you'll ever meet.
GENE: I agree with you, Vlad. It's nice to know there's a new member of the family. I can't wait too see Drac and Mavis again.
VLAD: Thank you, brother. We should head inside now. We don't want them to wait for too long, don't we?
After their short conversation, Vlad, Lydia, Gene, and Klaus continued their journey to their destination.
Meanwhile at the hotel...
It was another busy night at Hotel Transylvania with Vlad, Lydia, Gene, and Klaus comes to visit. Dracula was roaming around to ask the hotel staff if everything is ready for their family dinner.
DRACULA: Quasimodo, is everything all set for tonight?
QUASIMODO: Of course, my dear Count Dracula. You do not have to worry a single thing. I've got the zombies prepared everything for your family dinner. I even prepared Lydia's favorite goulash. You how much she loves my cooking.
DRACULA: Yes that's good to know, Quasimodo. Just make sure they bring them all out when my family arrives, alright?
QUASIMODO: Yes, Count Dracula. The head chef of the hotel will not let you down.
DRACULA: Glad to hear that.
As Dracula left, Quasimodo began yelling at one of the gargoyle chef.
QUASIMODO: YOU HEARD THE MAN! GET BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND WORK!
GARGOYLE CHEF: Yes, Quasimodo!
Dracula walked down to the lobby to check on the other hotel guests but instead he was surprised to see an oversized puppy running and jumping around the lobby with his 5 year-old grandson, Dennis, ridding on his puppy. Dennis decided to wear his version of Dracula's outfit.
DENNIS: Hi, Papa Drac.
DRACULA: Dennis, What are you still doing here?
DENNIS: Me and Tinkles are just playing, Papa Drac. Tinkles got bored so I let him out of his room.
DRACULA: (*sigh) My little Denisovich, your papa Vlad will be here soon. We don't want the hotel to be wrecked before they get here, don't we?
DENNIS: Okay, Papa Drac.
Dennis replied sadly as he slid down from Tinkles' back. Just then, Mavis joined in her bat form and transformed back into her human form. She wore her usual black clothes and the Dracula cape she earned back on her Fangceañera.
MAVIS: There you are, sweetie.
DENNIS: Hi, mommy!
Dennis quickly ran towards Mavis and gave her the biggest hug. Mavis hugged her son back.
MAVIS: I thought you were back inside your bedroom, baby.
DENNIS: Sorry, mommy. I just wanted to play with Tinkles.
MAVIS: Aww, it's okay, Dennis. You know I can't stop worrying about you.
Mavis giggled as she tickled Dennis on his belly, who was laughing uncontrollably from his mother's tickles.
DRACULA: Hello, my sweet little blood-orange.
MAVIS: Hey, dad. Have you heard of Grandpa Vlad yet?
DRACULA: Not yet, Honey-bat. I'm sure they'll be here soon. Now will you excuse me, I'll bring Tinkles back to his room.
DENNIS: Bye, Tinkles.
Dracula clipped a leash on Tinkles' collar before he lead the giant puppy back in his room, leaving Mavis and Dennis in the lobby.
MAVIS: Are you excited to see Papa Vlad again, baby.
DENNIS: Yes, mommy! I can't wait to show him on what I can do with my powers! Where's daddy?
MAVIS: Daddy's upstairs in our room dressing up, honey. He's really nervous.
Meanwhile inside Mavis and Johnny's room...
There was Johnny Loughran standing in front of the mirror while putting a black tie around his neck. He thought that wearing a formal suit and tie would be an appropriate attire for tonight's occasion. His phone rang with the screen that says 'Alfred'. Johnny wore his earbud and answered the call.
JOHNNY: Hey, Alfred. What's up?
ALFRED: Oh, nothing. I just wanna what you're doing right now. How's meeting with your in-laws?
JOHNNY: They're not here yet. I'm still here in my room dressing up.
ALFRED: You're nervous, aren't you? I can tell it by your voice.
JOHNNY: (*sigh) Al, this is the first time I'm meeting Mavis' extended DRACULA family. Of course I'm nervous. They might as well suck all my blood if I made the wrong move.
ALFRED: Don't say that, my boy. I know Dracula and Mavis won't let that happen to you. After all, you fight crime every night as Batman but you can't handle to meet up with your in-laws as Johnny Loughran? You can handle it."
JOHNNY: (*sigh) Maybe you're right, Al. I'll do my best to make the first good impression. I'll let you know how it turned out.
After the call ended, Johnny stared at his reflection on the mirror now wearing his black suit and tie. He took deep breathes to wipe his nervousness away and headed downstairs to join Dracula, Mavis, and Dennis.
Dracula had Tinkles on a leash and puts him inside Mavis and Johnny's suite to avoid any more mess around the hotel. Dracula sighed and entered his private room to clear his head. He then stumble upon his portrait of him and his wife, Martha.
Dracula frowned in sadness remembering the night those angry mobs killed Martha and almost killed Mavis that time.
DRACULA: (*sigh) Oh, Martha. I wish you were here with me right now. How long I've missed you.
Dracula heard a knock on his door. As he opened it, Dracula saw an armored knight standing right in front of him.
ARMORED KNIGHT: Sir, your father and the rest of your family has arrived at the hotel. They're expecting your presence right away.
DRACULA: Yes, of course. I will get down there.
Both Dracula and the armored knight headed downstairs to the lobby.
Dracula, Mavis, Johnny, and Dennis were all together at the lobby waiting for the family to arrive. Dracula and Mavis wore their usual black clothes with their traditional capes. Dennis wore his version of Dracula's outfit while Johnny simply wore a formal suit and tie.
After a few minutes, Vlad, Lydia, Gene, and Klaus have finally arrived.
GENE: My little Mavy-Wavy!
MAVIS: Hi, Uncle Gene! It's so good to see you again!
Mavis ran towards Gene and hugged him.
GENE: My goblins! Look how big you've grown!
JOHNNY: Hey.. uh... Uncle Gene. It's really nice to meet you.
GENE: So you must be Mavis' husband, huh? I can already see you're a good one. Nice to meet you too, Bruce.
JOHNNY: Uh... Uncle Gene, my name isn't Bruce. I.. I'm Johnny.
GENE: Oh! Sorry, my boy. I was confused by someone else. My mistake.
Both Johnny and Gene shook hands.
DENNIS: Hi, Papa Gene. I'm Dennis but you can call me Denisovich. Papa Drac said it's my vampire name.
GENE: Hello there, little one. You must be Drac's grandkid. I really like your red hair. You know I used to have my red hair in my younger years.
JOHNNY: (*chuckle) Well obviously Dennis got the red hair from his 'awesome' dad.
GENE: Did I ever tell you that your mother and I enjoyed playing video games together? Do you want to play with me sometimes.
DENNIS: Yeah! Is it okay, mommy?
MAVIS: Sure, honey. Just don't play too much, Okay?
Vlad and Lydia, with Diane the chicken on top of her staff, went over Dracula and greeted one another.
DRACULA: Hello, Lydia. How have you been?
LYDIA: Yes hello, brother. And no, I am not doing good.
DRACULA: Really? (*laughing nervously) And why is that? Hehe...
LYDIA: Because of the fact that you let Mavis marry a human and have a human child! It is a disgrace to the Dracula family tradition!
DIANE: Ba-kaw, atrocity.
VLAD: Lydia, control your attitude! Tonight is all about spending time together as a family and I don't want anything to ruin that.
DRACULA: Come on, Lydia. It is the 21st first century. Humans are not the same back then. You could at least meet your nephew-in-law. He's a good kid.
LYDIA: Not a chance, brother! We all know that humans and monsters could never interact!
VLAD: Lydia!
LYDIA: (*sigh) I'm still not okay with this but let's just get this over with. I have to say though, the hotel has not changed ever since I left.
Lydia looked around the hotel like nothing has changed after she left. She saw a couple of monster guests walking around the lobby and now she saw human guests as well, which ruined her mood.
LYDIA: Nevermind.
MAVIS: Hey, Aunt Lydia.
LYDIA: Mavis? You're supposed to be the little brat that I need to watch over but now, I see a fully grown and mature young lady."
MAVIS: Um... thanks, I guess. Anyway, There is someone that would like you to meet. This is my husband, Johnny, and this is our son, Dennis.
JOHNNY: It's a pleasure to meet you, Ma'am. Mavis told me stories about you.
LYDIA: You zinged with a HUMAN?! This is really unacceptable! I cannot allow this to happen!
MAVIS: Well we zinged at my 118th birthday and it happened. I couldn't be more happier.
DENNIS: Hello. Is it okay if I call you Mama Lyddie?
LYDIA: No. You will only address me as Grandmother Lydia. Understood, child?
DENNIS: Okay.
Dennis just answered nicely and not bothered by Lydia's cold attitude.
JOHNNY: (*sigh) Well, Hank and Pedro were right about one thing. Your Aunt Lydia is really strict.
MAVIS: Don't worry. I know my Aunt Lydia isn't that much fun and all but she'll like you eventually.
Hearing Mavis' words managed to calm Johnny down. Just then, it was Klaus who approached the young couple.
KLAUS: Why hello, Mavish. Long time no see. (*laughing sinisterly)
MAVIS: Ugh... Hello, Klaus-hh.
JOHNNY: So that's your cousin, huh?
MAVIS: (*sigh) Yep. The one and only.
Johnny blankly stared at his cousin-in-law. Jeez, it really reminded of the Joker.
KLAUS: Well, Grandfather Vlad was correct after all. Out of all the vampires in the underworld, you chose to marry a human. I'm surprised that Count Dracula hasn't sucked every ounce of his blood.
MAVIS: Johnny is my husband. I know my dad would never do that and if he did, I would never forgive for the rest of eternity.
KLAUS: Of course. I understand you could only zing once and yet here you are, started your own family.
JOHNNY: Pleasure to meet you, Klaus.
KLAUS: Nice to meet you as well but the name is Klaus-hh.
JOHNNY: Pff... Klaus and Klaus-hh. What's the difference?
KLAUS: It's KLAUS-HH!!
Mavis and Johnny tried to hide their laughter after making fun of Klaus a little.
Dracula, Mavis, Dennis, Johnny, Vlad, Lydia, Gene, and Klaus went inside a private room where they had their family dinner the night before Dennis' 5th birthday. As always, there was Erik the Phantom of the Opera with the Dracula family.
THE PHANTOM: The night brings the Dracula family here, to take away all that Drac holds dear. Hide your feelings, keep them all inside.
The family sat on their respective places as Quasimodo entered the room with the rest of the gargoyle chefs.
QUASIMODO: Bonjour, everyone! I am proud to announce that dinner is served for the Dracula family.
The gargoyle chefs placed monster food on the table. Gene quickly ate every food he could get while Lydia smiled widely when she saw her favorite dish made by Quasimodo.
LYDIA: (*squeals) My favorite goulash! How long I've missed you!
Lydia puts the bowl right on her face and began to eat her goulash.
MAVIS: Oh, the goulash. Thought I'd never see them again. Better not ask Quasimodo some salt this time.
After a few decent conversation with the family, another armored knight interrupted the dinner like he was in a rush.
ARMORED KNIGHT: Sir! We have an emergency! Numerous of intruders have broke in the hotel.
DRACULA: Have you identified the intruders?
ARMORED KNIGHT: It's the Bat cronies, sir.
The family gasped in shock.
VLAD: Bela is back for revenge!
DRACULA: Assemble your troops, captain. Make sure that every guests are evacuated safely.
ARMORED KNIGHT: Affirmative!
MAVIS: Johnny, I think it's best if you evacuate with guests to safety.
JOHNNY: WHAT?! No, I gotta try and help you guys. I don't want you and Dennis getting hurt.
MAVIS: If you stay, that makes you the easiest target. We can handle the bat cronies.
DRACULA: Johnny, go. I won't let anything bad happen to Mavis and Denisovich. Just go with the other guests to safety.
Johnny didn't want to argue with them much longer but he ended up evacuating with the hotel guests anyway. Everyone have been evacuated in a hidden and safe room within the hotel for their safety while Johnny secretly used one of the hotel's secret tunnels that leads him to the cemetery.
Once Johnny was now on the cemetery, he pulled out his earbud to contact Alfred. At this point, Johnny looked really pissed.
JOHNNY: Alfred, we've got a situation. Bela and his cronies are back at the hotel for revenge. I'm going back there.
ALFRED: What?! They will kill you easily, Johnny!
JOHNNY: I'm not going back as Johnny. It's time to let BATMAN handle things. I need the suit right away.
ALFRED: Of course. The car is on it's way now.
Johnny can hear a car engine getting louder and louder every second like it was coming close right at him. A black armored car sped up to the cemetery and quickly stopped in front of Johnny. The Batmobile.
ALFRED: Did the Batmobile arrived, Johnathan?
JOHNNY: Right on time. Get Richard in the line for me.
Johnny switched his channel to the 15 year-old Richard Grayson through his communication channel.
RICHARD: Johnny, what's the emergency?
JOHNNY: Bela and the bat cronies are back and I need you here at the hotel as soon as possible!
RICHARD: Got it! I'll suit up and meet you there.
Johnny opened the trunk of the Batmobile containing his now advanced armored suit. The Batsuit is now darker and contains more strong armor platings around the suit from top to bottom. Johnny grabbed his cowl to put it on and activated his voice modulator/changer.
BATMAN/JOHNNY: Get ready for a fight.
