The Next Day after the Riddler Situation...
Dracula woke up from his bed blissfully still covered in sheets. He felt dizzy for a sudden at the same time something tells him that an amazing event happened last night. He turns around then there he sees Martha still sleeping beside him but covered in the same sheet.
DRACULA: It was all true! My beautiful wife is really alive and safe with her family... with me.
Dracula thought to himself as he smiled while stroking Martha's hair and admiring her beauty even if she's sleeping. She then started to wake up.
MARTHA: Good morning, my darling.
DRACULA: Hello, my beautiful zing. Did you sleep well, my love?
MARTHA: Very. Especially after that... amazing night we just had last night. We haven't done that since... our wedding night. I've missed this.
Dracula and Martha blushed.
DRACULA: I've missed this as well, my love.
Both Dracula and Martha smiled to each other. They coddled and snuggled for minutes enjoying themselves. Dracula then started to kiss Martha and she kissed him back wrapping their arms around each other.
DRACULA: Do want to head down for something to eat?
MARTHA: I would love to, but we better get some clothes on first (*giggle).
The married couple lightly laughed and stared to put on some clothes for breakfast. While this happening, they heard a knock on the door. After they got dressed up, Dracula opened the door to see who it was.
MAVIS: Good morning, mom and dad!
MARTHA: Good morning, my beautiful baby!
DRACULA: Hello, my little Mavy-Wavy! Why are you up so early?
Both Dracula and Martha quickly hugged their loving daughter, Mavis.
MAVIS: I was just wondering if I could have breakfast with my parents, if that's okay with you guys?
MARTHA: Of course, sweetie. We'd be so happy that you could join us! But what Johnny and Dennis, aren't they coming along too?
MAVIS: Johnny and Dennis are still asleep. I just wanted to spend some time with you guys!
Dracula, Martha, and Mavis head down to the dining restaurant and had worm cakes for breakfast together. The three talked for minutes and would sometimes laugh at random things.
MAVIS: So dad, any plans for the day?
DRACULA: Yes, Mavy. Today is going to be a schedule here in the hotel as always, especially planning a party later tonight.
MAVIS: Party? What party are you guys talking about?
MARTHA: It was mainly your father's idea, honey.
DRACULA: I'm throwing a party for your mother, sweet fangs. She's been away from us for too long and I thought today's the perfect time to celebrate the miracle now that your mother is with us safe.
MAVIS: Holy Rabies! That's a great idea, dad! Do you need any help for the preparation?
DRACULA: No no no no, I already have the zombie staff taken care of. You and your mother just relax and enjoy this day.
MARTHA and MAVIS: We will!
Martha and Mavis laughed at the same time.
MAVIS: How are you doing, mom?
MARTHA: I'm doing fine now that you and your father are here with me now. What about you, Mavy? How are you?
MAVIS: I'm okay too, mom. I've been also helping Dad out around the hotel sometimes but mostly we've been taking care of Dennis.
DRACULA: Speaking of Dennis, how about we all go out for a fly tonight. You, me, your mother, and little Dennisovich just the four of us. What do you say, Mavy?
MAVIS: Aww, that sounds fun, dad. I'm in!
MARTHA: Just the four of us, huh? Too bad Johnny won't be able to join us.
Mavis was saddened to talk about the fact Johnny not being a vampire and she knew that humans don't live long. She then decided to ask her parents something she's been thinking since last night.
MAVIS: Mom, dad. Is it okay if I talk to you guys about something?
DRACULA: What is it, honey bat? Is everything alright?
MAVIS: Me and mom had a talk last night about the possibility of turning Johnny into a vampire. Dennis already had his fangs and I don't want to see losing my husband. Is there a way to fix it, daddy?
Dracula and Martha blankly starred at each other after hearing Mavis' commitment of turning Johnny into a vampire.
DRACULA: (*sigh) I knew this day would come. Yes, there is a way to turn Johnny into a vampire but it is not only biting his neck. The process is dangerous.
MAVIS: How dangerous is it, dad?
DRACULA: You see in order to turn a human into a vampire, Johnny must have pure motives of love to be with you and Dennis for eternity or to protect you and Dennis from harm. If he only want it because of the power he would gains, then he would become a complete monster like Bela.
MAVIS: What do you mean Johnny could turn like into Bela?
DRACULA: Bela was a failed transformation because he only wanted for the strength he would gain, sweet fangs. He soul was weak and his body became ugly as his soul.
Mavis gasped and widened her eyes in horror.
MAVIS: (*gasp) I don't want that to happen to Johnny! I don't know if I could turn him into a vampire the right way.
Martha held hers daughter's hand to calm her.
MARTHA: My baby bat, I know that Johnny deeply loves you and Dennis so much. You don't have to worry about it, your father and I will teach how. All you need is that you and Johnny are confident about this commitment.
DRACULA: Have you told Johnathan about it yet?
MAVIS: Not yet, apparently. I'm not sure how to tell him yet.
DRACULA: Go talk to him, honey bat. This is after all really important for the both of you.
The day continues on as Dracula and the zombie staff prepared the decorations in the ballroom for the party later tonight. Mavis heads back to her room only to find Johnny, Dennis, Winnie, and Tinkles playing together. Mavis just simply smiled at them.
MAVIS: Hey, guys
DENNIS: Hi, mommy!
Dennis quickly over to Mavis and gave her a big hug. Mavis hugged him back.
WINNIE: Hi, Mavis.
JOHNNY: Oh. Hey, Mavy. We were just playing a little game. Wanna join?
MAVIS: Actually, I came here to talk to you about something.
JOHNNY: Oh ok, what is it then?
MAVIS: I think it's best we could talk somewhere private.
JOHNNY: Yeah sure, you kids just keep playing. We won't be long.
Mavis and Johnny went inside their bedroom while living Dennis, Winnie, and Tinkles to play in the living room.
Johnny laid down on bed while Mavis rested her body on top of his with their arms wrapped around each other.
JOHNNY: So what does my cute little princess wanna talk about?
Johnny playfully said as he puts some of Mavis' hair behind her ear. Mavis kept thinking back about what her parents just talked about turning humans into vampires could also mean turning them into a monster like Bela. She was really anxious about it and didn't want that to happen to Johnny.
MAVIS: You know what, maybe it can wait for a little. What have you and Dennis been doing while I'm gone?
JOHNNY: Well, Dennis invited Winnie to play along with us until you arrived. Not that it's a bad thing! I... I mean it's okay for you to join us (*laughing nervously).
MAVIS: (*giggle) It's okay, silly. You look so adorable when you're awkward.
Johnny blushed and formed a goofy smile on his face while he began to kiss Mavis passionately and kissed him back. Johnny rolled over so now that he was on top on Mavis. When they were enjoying the moment, Mavis remembered that they have to be ready for her parents' celebration.
MAVIS: Johnny, wait. We better get ready soon before the party starts.
JOHNNY: Party? What party?
MAVIS: My dad is throwing a party for my mom's return. I'm gonna go take a quick shower.
Mavis went closer to Johnny and playfully nibbled his ear.
MAVIS: (*whisper) You wanna join me?
JOHNNY: Yes!
Johnny's face turned red as he blushed and went inside the bathroom in their bedroom with Mavis.
Later that night...
Dracula and Martha were still inside their room getting dressed up while most of the guest are already in the ballroom. Dracula wore an elegant tuxedo with his cape while Martha wore a formal long black dress with golden bat-shaped earrings and her chocker. Dracula couldn't help it but to stare at Martha mesmerized at her beauty.
MARTHA: So, what do you think?
DRACULA: Martha, you look very beautiful as always.
MARTHA: Aww. Thanks, handsome. We should probably head downstairs to the ballroom. Wouldn't want to keep everyone waiting.
DRACULA: Of course, my love.
Martha planted a quick kiss on Dracula's lips before leaving their room. While walking through the hallway, they encountered Mavis, Johnny and Dennis. Mavis was wearing a long silky black dress while both Johnny and Dennis wore their own suit and tie.
DENNIS: Hi, Papa Drac! Hi, Grandma!
MARTHA: Aww, hello my little Dennis! Look how cute you are!
Martha quickly gave Dennis a big hug while he hugged his grandmother back and finally lets go.
DRACULA: Mavis, Johnny? What are you still doing here?
MAVIS: Same as you guys. We were already on our to the ballroom and I thought you and mom were already there.
DRACULA: We were just getting dressed up for the night, honey bat. That's all.
JOHNNY: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's head down to the ballroom and join the party (*chuckle).
Martha, Johnny, and Dennis walked towards the elevator while both Dracula and Mavis stayed behind for a little.
DRACULA: Have you talked to Johnny about the 'thing' we've discussed earlier?
MAVIS: (*sigh) I didn't told him yet, dad. I don't even know if this could work or not.
DRACULA: Devil chops, I know you're scared about this but I also know Johnathan won't force you if you're not ready yet. He loves you and Dennis so much that he would do everything to spend eternity with you. But you have to let Johnny know about this before turning him into a vampire.
MAVIS: Yes, daddy. I will.
Dracula and Mavis joined Martha, Johnny, and Dennis in the elevator.
The Ballroom...
Dracula, Martha, Mavis, Johnny, and Dennis shortly arrived to join the party. All the monsters smiled and greeted the vampires' arrivals, especially for Martha.
The family then walked towards to Frank, Eunice, Wayne, Wanda, Murray, Griffin, Vlad, Lydia, and Gene for a sweet family conversation.
FRANK: There he is! My main man, Drac!
DRACULA: Hello, Frank. I must say you and Eunice look wonderful tonight.
EUNICE: Same to you and Martha, Drac.
MARTHA: Thank you, Eunice.
Winnie came out of no where to grab Dennis surprising everyone from how fast it happened.
WINNIE: Dennis, I love you! Zing, zing!
DENNIS: Hi, Winnie.
Winnie playfully pounced on Dennis to the ground and then vigorously licking him, making Dennis giggle. The grownups were awed in affection to see how cute the kids interact with each other.
GRIFFIN: Aww. How cute!
MURRAY: I wonder if they could zing in the future some day.
Wanda then came in to carry Winnie away from Dennis, thinking the boy could get hurt.
WANDA: Winnie, give Dennis a little space will you? I'm really sorry about that, Mavis.
MAVIS: Oh it's alright, Aunt Wanda. Dennis and Winnie are just playing.
While the grown ups had their time to bond, Mavis and Johnny joined with Hank, Pedro, Wendy, Sophie, and Charlotte.
WENDY: Hi, Mavis! You look so pretty!
MAVIS: Aww thanks, Wendy. How are you guys doing?
HANK: We're doing just fine especially with the party going right now. It's so cool!
PEDRO: Tell me about. Especially with all the delicious treats we've got here. Ooh baby, they're all going in my mouth!
HANK: I wouldn't be so sure about that, dude. Aunt Lydia's here and you don't want her to use her raging-fire eyes on you when she's not on the mood.
JOHNNY: Hey, have you guys seen Alfred anywhere? I need to talk to him about something.
SOPHIE: I just saw him entering the ballroom earlier. He's probably around somewhere.
JOHNNY: Right, thanks. I'll be back shortly.
Johnny left the group right before giving Mavis a quick kiss on her cheek.
MAVIS: Are you guys having fun or what?
CHARLOTTE: Totally having fun, Mavis! It's also cool now that your mom is here with us right now.
WENDY: Your mom is even nicer than I thought. She's really cool.
MAVIS: Thanks, guys. That really means a lot to me and to my dad. I know she's the best mom I could ever ask!
Meanwhile, Dracula and Martha were with Vlad, Lydia, and Gene were catching up some events that Martha missed.
GENE: Martha! Oh it's so good to see you again!
MARTHA: Hello, Uncle Gene! It's so good to see you guys again!
LYDIA: Yes, I must say that it is a miracle to see my sister-in-law alive and well with my brother again.
VLAD: You know, Mr. Big Shot over here was a little cry baby and used to pee on his bed when he was little.
DRACULA: (*groan) Ok, dad. That's enough.
Everyone laughed at Vlad teases Dracula, who frowned and slouch down in embarrassment while his collar dropped low as well. Martha gave him a warm kiss on his cheek to comfort him. Dracula blushed as he gave a goofy smile.
MARTHA: (*giggle) Honey, that was a long time ago. Give me a little smile, will you?
DRACULA: Yes, dear (*giggle).
Somewhere in the Ballroom were Johnny and Alfred talking to a less crowded area for them to discuss about the hunt for Riddler and saving the hostages.
ALFRED: So, Johnathan. Have you find anything useful about finding our 'mutual friend'?
JOHNNY: (*sigh) Not yet. Me and Richard are looking in to it as we speak. Can't let the hostages die on Riddler's hands.
ALFRED: If you ask me, Riddler reminds of the crimes in the beginning of your career as your 'alter ego'. It was Halloween at the time. Turned out to be a very Long Halloween as I recall.
JOHNNY: (*chuckle) You mean the time when Drac had to initiate his Halloween Lockdown because of the Pumpkin Guts. He couldn't even let Mavis or anyone else out of the hotel while I had to find a way to sneak out for a decent night patrol.
Hours later, every monster couple gathered all together for a slow dance while the Los Cadaveros skeleton band played the music on stage.
On the dance floor were Frank and Eunice, Wayne and Wanda, Shonda and Bob (Pedro's mom and Wendy's dad), Griffin and his girlfriend Crystal, Murray and his girlfriend female mummy, and last but not least Mavis and Johnny.
Dracula had Martha dancing on the ceiling near the chandelier with their vampire abilities. They thought their dance was similar back to their wedding night. Both Dracula and Martha passionately kissed with their arms wrapped around each other. Mavis and Johnny looked up and smiled at the vampire couple.
JOHNNY: That's kinda cool. Kinda wish we could do that someday.
Mavis then remembered about turning Johnny into a vampire sooner or later. Before she could talk, Mavis took a deep breath but still feeling nervous about it.
MAVIS: Johnny...
JOHNNY: Hmph?
MAVIS: I wanna talk to you about something.
JOHNNY: Sure, what is it?
The young couple were enjoying themselves dancing together in the dance floor, that is when until the Riddler had to ruin everything. He had the doctor/hostage standing on the stage with his mouth tapped and a bomb strapped around his neck.
