It's hard to imagine what led to the two of them here, but Shirayuki loves to get her hands in the kitchen, loves to transform simple ingredients into a tasty treat, partly because it does remind her of herbology, in that regard. She loves it, loves watching the transformation from batter to actual sweet.
And of course, here's Raji, who has had many of the same sweets that she's grown up with, but who has never had her own recipes. So, she steps closer, carrying a little basket she brought with her, filled to the brim with apple danishes, a few fruit tarts, and a couple of miniature pies. They shouldn't eat too much after all, but there's enough fruit in them to add some natural sweetness and to make it not so bad of a sweet to savor and enjoy.
"I brought something." Shirayuki tells him, and Raji looks up at her and the cute little basket she holds.
"What did you bring?" Raji's brown eyes have grown wide, even though he sits on a blanket and under the shade of a tree in the gardens, he might not have realized yet that it's a picnic.
"A few sweets." She sits down across from him and opens up the basket, pulling out little sweets and some silverware for them.
"Did you make them yourself?" Raji finally manages to ask.
"Of course." Shirayuki isn't the type of person to run all the way down to a little bakery and buy something when she could just make it herself instead.
"Wow." Raji leans closer, eyeing the sweets as if he's never seen anything so beautiful or tasty before, "That's impressive."
"My grandparents taught me to bake as I grew up." Shirayuki answered, "They also taught me how to cook."
"Could you teach me sometime?" Raji pauses, looking a bit like a deer in headlights, "I mean, if you really want to, that is? I'm probably not that good at it and probably not the best student, but I've had personal chefs my whole life, you know? And I never got a chance to learn." He looks apologetic as he finally stops rambling.
"Yeah, I'd like that, I think." Shirayuki smiles; they've come a very long way from the way they began.
