Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy VII, The Boys or anything else you may recognize
Just started getting into FFVII again, and had a little realization which I'll share in the ending A/N.
Once more, involves a powerful person taking out the Seven and showing them the true meaning of power.
And since I'm only getting into FFVII again, there's a lot of concepts I need brushing up on, but anyway, here I'm just taking some creative liberties.
For FFVII, its after ACC, and for The Boys its after Stormfront joined.
Sephiroth had been defeated by Cloud Strife once more, but before fading away he had made a promise- "I will…never be a memory."
Now, he was in a portion of the Lifestream that he had corrupted in spite of Aerith's best efforts, and gaining its power, he was using it to travel around the Multiverse to see any other worlds he could also try to conquer in addition to his own.
He had found out his own world was quite different from various others, as Midgar, Junon, Edge, Kalm, Nibelheim, Gongaga, etc. did not exist in any other world, these locations were unique to his own world.
But there were cities like New York, Metropolis, Gotham and Wakanda. New York and Metropolis were as glorious as Midgar used to be, while Gotham was a cesspool of crime, corruption and anarchy.
Wakanda, on the other hand, surpassed all of these.
But the heroes in these worlds, they worked very well as teams, and lots of them had great power, like Thor, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Martian Manhunter, and many more.
While Sephiroth was confident he could fight them, he felt he needed a lot more power to stand up to the entire teams of these worlds.
However, there was one world where he could kill all the heroes even if they were like a team.
These were the Seven, who were not even heroes, just psychopaths protecting the world and flashing bright smiles, making everyone think they were heroes.
Some of them were genuinely decent people, but the others were horrible. Well, a world like this would be easy to take.
Vought International
Stormfront had just been made part of the group, and was now hanging out with the rest of the Seven (minus Maeve and Starlight who were away on different errands for the time being, while Deep wasn't part of the group right now due to having been sent away for sexually assaulting Starlight), when suddenly the dark Lifestream manifested there.
"What's that?" Homelander asked no one in particular, the 'heroes' all watching intently and curiously as the dark Lifestream formed a shape, and then appeared a tall, handsome man of 6 feet 7 inches with white hair, wearing a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots and black trousers.
The top of his coat was open to reveal some of his chest. His eyes were green and cat-like.
But his most distinguishing features were his ridiculously long 7 foot sword the Masamune, and the insanity in his smirk.
"Who the hell are you?" Stormfront inquired, the fake heroes glaring at Sephiroth the fallen hero.
"Damn! That's a long sword!" A-Train commented as he pointed at it.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Homelander snarled, sensing Sephiroth was a threat to all of them, with him, Stormfront, A-Train and Black Noir taking fighting stances.
"What I want, John", Homelander was infuriated to be called by his true name, "is to sail the darkness of the Multiverse, and kill all the Heroes in their different worlds, starting with this one."
The Seven laughed hysterically, thinking he was crazy as Stormfront said. "You are such an idiot to try this crap on us."
Sephiroth raised his hand and, to their shock, the sky now darkened with black clouds, the silver-haired swordsman giving them all a challenging smirk. "Hmmm…..come and die."
One Winged Angel plays
Homelander angrily fired his laser beams, but Sephiroth blocked with his Masamune, not affected in the least. Homelander was shocked someone could block his laser beams, but the shock had just begun.
A-Train rushed at Sephiroth, only for Sephiroth to swing his sword, casting a powerful blade through the air that ripped into A-Train, cutting him into two.
The two halves of his body fell to the ground, blood seeping everywhere, and the remaining three were clearly shocked.
"What the hell…..?" Stormfront trailed off. "What are…"
"I am the Chosen One. I have been chosen to lead this whole Multiverse", Sephiroth boasted, as Stormfront tried to attack him with lightning but he teleported away.
Next moment, the Masamune protruded from Stormfront's chest, making her gasp as blood poured out. Her heart had been pierced already.
Homelander and Black Noir watched in horror, Sephiroth pulling out, letting Stormfront's corpse fall to the ground.
Homelander angrily tried to fire another round of laser beams that were blocked while Black Noir flipped near Sephiroth to hit him, only for Sephiroth to cast 'Heartless Angel', that made him fall to his knees.
Homelander stopped, Sephiroth raising Masamune. "On your knees, I want you to beg for forgiveness."
He swung and Black Noir was dead too. Homelander was all that was left.
The man-child roared in anger, only for Sephiroth to teleport away.
"Over here."
Homelander turned to see Sephiroth outside and flew at him, but was struck by weak lightning from Sephiroth's hand, weakening and badly burning him. "I've thought of a wonderful present for you, John", Sephiroth smirked, stabbing Homelander through the abdomen. "Tell me, shall I give you despair?"
Sephiroth pulled out, then stabbed Homelander though the foot, using the Masamune to hurl him to the ground where he crashed, making a crater, the people all watching in terror that their hero had been beaten.
Sephiroth flew down near Homelander, who was groaning in pure agony. "You have despair, and now, I shall give you…death."
The One-Winged Angel stabbed Homelander through the mouth, ending the lab experiment at last.
This whole world was then subjected to an even worse fate under the power of Sephiroth, who still planned to take on other Earths like this.
The Seven are dead but sucks for their world since Sephiroth is even worse.
The Boys' basic concept might just have been inspired by Final Fantasy VII.
Sephiroth and Homelander are both great heroes created in labs, difference being Sephiroth was genuinely good once, while Homelander was a piece of shit before too.
Plus Sephiroth is cool, calm and collected while Homelander is a tantrum-throwing man-child.
But anyways, both are their worlds' greatest heroes, and then their downfall happens as they become complete villains.
Vought is like Shinra in this regard, then you have the Boys themselves, who are like AVALANCHE, the anti-Shinra group, who may have good intentions but are morally grey in how they go about it.
Billy Butcher is Barret Wallace, and his grudge against Homelander is like Barret's grudge against Shinra as a whole.
Not saying its a copy or anything, but basic concept is similar, maybe some inspiration was taken, that's all I'm implying.
Sephiroth could have beaten them pretty effortlessly but he was playing.
Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with some other update.
