High in the clouds, above the continent of Sanus, flies a flock of Nevermore. These creatures look like the average crow, except for the peculiar bone masks they have, showing 2 pairs of eyes glowing a hateful red. Those red eyes seem to be observing something else in the sky, a gray, relatively large, transport ship.
"Captain, the flock from before appears to be following us, still no signs of aggression however."
"Good, make sure to keep watch on them, I want to be notified at the first signs of movement." Stated Captain Beau, she then moved towards the intercoms. "This is your captain speaking, at the moment we are just an hour away from the city of Vale, I recommend finishing any business that needs to be done, we will begin our descent soon."

In the passenger area of the transport ship, people are milling about, most sitting down, with a few stretching their legs from sitting down for 5 hours.
"Mommy, that man looks green, why is he green? OH! Is he a green man?" asked a child, no older than eight, with what looks to be two small doe ears atop her head.
"No sweetie, the man's just not feeling well right now."
The girl made a noise of disappointment, and continued to look at the sick man. The man in question was actually not an adult, but a seventeen year old.
"Bleargh" He is sick though, his cheeks colored an interesting shade of green, and at this latest… noise he made, the teen made his way to the restroom, quickly making his way across the seating area.
'I really hate these ships. Thankfully, the lady said only an hour left, so I don't need to be in this hell hole any longer. Just gotta ma-' while approaching the door Jaune unfortunately stumbled from the ship shaking slightly.
Steadying himself on a nearby chair, he stayed still, not trusting that he could make it to the toilets. While debating just how screwed he was, someone placed their hand on his shoulder, startling slightly. Before he could say something, he felt a sudden wave of calmness, and his rebelling stomach quickly calmed down, just as the wave stopped.
Being both extraordinarily startled about some stranger holding him, but also thankful that his stomach is no longer a danger to anyone in front of him, Jaune was a bit speechless. Turning around to face this stranger, the first thing he noticed was the color green, as the man in front of him was wearing a simple green t-shirt and white pants, the shirt having a slightly faded pink lotus symbol in the corner.
"Sorry if I startled you, but you seemed to need a hand." Said the boy, somewhat quietly.
"Are you kidding? I might just follow you so I have a counter to this damn bucket in the sky." Replied Jaune, with a grateful tone considering the situation. "Can you tell me how you did it?"
"It's a small aura technique I picked up, good for situations like this, though I imagine most hunters have their own variations of it. Not that I am one, not yet at least."
"Really? What a coincidence, I'm a trainee too." Jaune then awkwardly rubbed his neck. "I doubt I looked like one though. Oh, my name's Jaune Arc."
"Lie Ren, I would prefer to if you referred to me as Ren" The now named Ren chuckled. "And I believe even grimm would prefer to not have.. regurgitated food on them."
"Another weapon to add to my collection then." Jaune replied amusedly. "Since you're going to Vale, I assume Beacon is your destination." Ren nodded to that. "It would be nice to see a familiar face then, I'm going as well. Are you going alone, or did you come with a friend?" Going to answer, Ren was sadly interrupted before he could reply.
"This is your captain speaking, we are about to enter our final stage of the flight. I'd like for everyone to sit down and buckle up. Rye, please report to the bridge."
Looking around for a moment, the two teens saw people heading towards their seats. "Looks like we have to end it here, it was nice meeting you Ren, and I really can't say how happy you made me with the pulse thing." Saying this, Jaune went for a handshake.
"Likewise, before we go though, would you like me to do it one more time, to hold you for the rest?" Clasping Jaune's hand, and with Jaune rapidly nodding his head, Ren did the technique again.
Afterwards, the two made their way back to their seats, with Ren heading towards the back and Jaune the front.

"So let me get this straight," A tall, but thin man was speaking to the captain, waving his arms while doing so. "The scanners couldn't pick up a great Nevermore!? You know, things the size of half this ship?" Taking a moment to adjust a pair of goggles atop his headwear, a light beanie with what seemed to be a symbol of sorts, he went to speak once more.
But just before he could continue with what he was saying, Beau tossed a face mask at him, sighing, she looked towards said scanners. "With the cloud cover dulling it, along with us focusing on the flock behind us, the scanner wasn't able to pick up movement. Seeing as how it's smart enough to use the flock to take attention, that Nevermore is likely older, and therefore smarter, than a 'Great'. So rather than you taking it down, we're going to haul ass towards Vale, so…" Looking back, Beau just sighed.
"What?" While Beau was speaking, he had already readied himself, now wearing an aviator jacket, along with the mask given to him just now. On his back, a D.M.R could be seen.
"Nothing, just focus on suppressing it, yeah?" nodding, Rye started to leave the bridge. Turning around, she addressed the crew. "Alright everyone, let's get a move on, Greenie! Get those turrets warmed up. Bran, begin hailing Vale, let them know about the big bird behind us."

Meanwhile, Jaune was having a grand time enjoying flight for once. Calmly turning a page in his book, he could be seen with a small smile, 'Can't believe how nice reading is when I'm not vomiting, such a big difference.'
