Summary: Cardcaster traps the Lotus Ninjas in a magical 90s movie montage.

The Lotus Ninjas sat on a three-seat couch in a dark room.

"Hurry up, Ella! What's taking you so long?" Ellie complained.

"Shut up!" Lee snapped. "You can't rush fashion! I've pick out the perfect outfits for our big sister, so stop complaining!"

"Okay, I'm ready!" Ella called out.

Once the lights were turned on, the green boom box started playing the 90s-like music from a mix-tape labeled You Make Me Wanna.

Ella stepped out of the fitting room and showed herself to her sisters. She was wearing a scarlet red dress with a dark red sash that swirls down her arms and dark red heels.

Lee, Donna, and Ellie gasped sharply with awestruck eyes.

"Wow! Lee, you nailed it!" Ellie grinned.

"Yeah, but it doesn't scream drop-dead fabulous, you know what I mean?" Donna said with a shrug.

"Donna's right. For this event, I need to look marvelous times infinity!" Ella said as she placed her hands on her hip.

"Don't worry, big sis. I have plenty more in store for you." Lee replied as she magically levitated more clothes.

Paying no attention to the louder music playing, Ella stood in front of her sisters as she was wearing a lime green tank top under a pink and white side shirt, green capris with a pink belt, and pink sneakers. Lee, Donna, and Ellie shook their heads in disagreement.

Then, Ella put on a bright pink midriff top with an orange vest, light blue denim skirt with a green stripe, and green and tan ankle-length boots. But Lee, Donna, and Ellie disagreed collectively again.

Ella stepped out of the fitting room as she was wearing a navy-blue midriff turtleneck tank top, a navy blue mini-skirt decorated with silver-grey beads, navy blue legwarmers, and blue sandals. Lee, Donna, and Ellie still disagreed in unison.

Finally, Ella showed a lavender ankle-length dress with the top layer having plum leopard spots and petal-like trimming and translucent purple off-the-shoulder sleeves ending with diamonds, a sand-colored belt with a tan buckle in front that has a teal gem in the middle, pale turquoise open-toe wedges.

Lee, Donna, and Ellie applauded with smiles.

"Girl, you're on fire!" Lee cheered. "All the boys will need to find a way to cool themselves off once they see you!"

"Aww, thanks." Ella said with a bashful smile. "What'cha got, Lee?"

Lee levitated a few more outfits with her magic.

"How could I say no to my latest fashion?" Lee asked with a knowing smile.

Lee puts on a red-violet backless halter top that cuts just above her navel, a light blue mini skirt with a lilac belt, and lilac wedge sandals.

Donna, Ella, and Ellie shook their heads in disagreement.

Lee stepped out she was wearing a baby blue halter neck style mini dress with a deep blue lining over a long-sleeved icy blue top and silver heels. Donna, Ella, and Ellie lifted their okayish hand gestures.

Then, Lee wore a dark teal midriff shirt, dark orange bell-bottoms with a brown belt, brown boots with white high heels, and a brown cowboy style hat. But Donna, Ella, and Ellie still disagreed.

Finally, Lee puts on a pale yellow halter neck style dress top and a pale yellow skirt with dark yellow zigzag cuts that are attached together with a dark orange star brooch and pale yellow boots.

Donna, Ella, and Ellie's mouths dropped wide open.

"Oh, now that's perfect!" Donna exclaimed with a smile. She turned to Ellie. "Alright, Ellie, you're up."

"I'll give it a shot." Ellie smiled back.

Ellie puts on a short red cheongsam with purple cherry blossom patterns along the right side and red knee-length boots. Donna, Ella, and Lee disagreed with that outfit.

Ellie then came out in a bright red shirt with short puff sleeves topping a dark red long-sleeved top, reddish pink pleated skirt with a dark belt with several hoops, and red heels. Donna, Ella, and Lee disagreed again.

Then, Ellie came out in a hot pink off-the-shoulder dress that has cobalt blue straps and hot pink boots.

"Oh yeah!" Donna cheered as she and her sisters held out thumbs-up in agreement.

"Wait, I just realized something. Why were we even dressing up anyway?" Ellie asked as she looked down at her outfit in confusion that made the music stop playing.

"Now that you mention it, I think we were on our, um..." Lee answered confusingly.

"If I remember correctly, I think we were going to see a show that Lee told us..." Ella said.

[Flashback]

Ella's eye twitched in frustration. She, Donna, and Ellie were playing video game together for who knows how many times in a row. After the game ended in a tie, three mystics groaned in unison.

"Argh, I'm so bored!" Ella exclaimed frustratingly. "Seriously, we're sitting at home playing video games on a weekend alone with nothing else better to do!"

"I can't tell you how much I love it when you get dramatic, Ella." Donna said sarcastically.

"Oh come on. Ella's right." Ellie said. "I'm all fun and video games, but we can ditch our time in the fortress and head out to the city for a girl's night out!"

That's when Lee stood in front of Donna, Ellie, and Ella with an excited grin.

"Hello ladies, I've come to interrupt your boredom and prepare yourself for the time of our family history trip!" Lee announced. She held up four tickets to her sisters. "Bam check it! Four tickets to Magic Town House!"

"Oh, look, Lee's cure of our boredom." Donna said.

"The Magic what now?" Ellie asked Lee.

"The Magic Town House, or MTH, is having their annual Night of a Million Secrets!" Lee explained. "And this year, they're unveiling one of our great grandmother's secret artifacts for the first time EVER!"

"Well, as long as we don't have to be bored in the fortress all day, I'm down." Ella grinned with a shrug. "Let's dress to impress, ladies!"

[Flashback Ends]

Lee looked at the ticket in her hands.

"That's right. I brought the tickets for us to go to the Magic Town House." Lee said.

"Then, that must mean we were getting ready for it." Ella added.

"So, if we're going to the Magic Town House, it must mean..." Ellie said.

"Dresses!" The Lotus Ninjas exclaimed together.

Ella, Donna, Lee, and Ellie each stepped out of the fitting room as they all wore a single shoulder black mini dress with a dark green diamond brooch on the right strap and matching black heels.

"It's official, ladies. We look hot! Selfie!" Donna declared.

Donna, Lee, Ella, and Ellie gathered together for the selfie picture, but Donna then noticed something from her phone. She went to the most recent picture, where she and her three sisters were already wearing the same dresses they're wearing now with their signature colored masquerade mask.

"Wait a minute. That's weird." Donna said as she scrolled through the past photos. "This can't be right."

"Wait, what?" Lee asked in bewilderment as she, Ella, and Ellie stared the photos. "Are you telling us that all those photos were already taken at the Magic Town House?"

"How did we not remember this?" Donna wondered.

[Flashback]

Donna, Lee, Ella, and Ellie gathered together for the selfie picture.

"Say magic rules!" Donna grinned.

After Donna snapped the photo, Lee took out her phone and started recording a video of the magic house.

"OMG! I can't believe we're here!" Lee grinned happily. "Coming to you live is the grand opening!"

Lee turned the camera to Ellie, who waved in excitement. She then noticed Cardcaster was walking quietly past the small crowd.

"Hey, is that Cardcaster?" Lee questioned in shock.

The Lotus Ninjas watched Cardcaster sneaking undetectably into a room.

"What's she doing sneaking around here?" Ella wondered with narrow eyes.

"Oh no! She must after Great Grandma Kalmia's cube?" Lee gasped in concern.

"Wait, go over the history of Great Grandma Kalmia with us again?" Ellie asked.

"Ellie, Great Grandma Kalmia is one of the most intellectual mystics ever next to me!" Donna exclaimed as she gestured up to the spinning rubik cube on display with twinkling eyes. "Her cube contain great magic formations and techniques in history!"

"If Cardcaster got her hands on that cube, she'd be able to warp the very fabric of existence! Or something like that." Lee added.

"No one steals our family legacy and gets away with it! Come on, girls, let's get her!" Ella said.

[Flashback Ends]

The Lotus Ninjas looked even more confused than ever.

"So, we arrived at the Magic Town House and Cardcaster was there." Lee said as she sat down on the sofa couch. "But then, how did we ended up here?"

"That's right." Ellie said. "If we were going to fight Cardcaster…"

"Then we spice things up with something more appropriate!" Donna said as she stood between Lee and Ellie while levitating two outfits with her magic.

"Forget the clothes, Donna!" Ella said as she slapped Donna across the face with a sandal that made her sister fall to the floor. "Think. What happened when the four of us went searching for Cardcaster?"

[Flashback]

Ella, Ellie, and Lee began searching through every door. But Donna was only looking at her phone with zero interest on finding Cardcaster.

"Man, who knew a place like this will be like going through a maze?" Ella commented. "She could be anywhere."

"Well, it is the Magic Town House, Ella." Lee grinned widely. "So, it's obvious that she used a secret door without being discovered from the public."

"Oh wow, every true disappearance lies behind a path to an unknown secret door." Donna said sarcastically.

"You know, Donna, it will be really grateful if you use your techno magic and help us for a change." Ellie said in annoyance.

Then, a secret passage opened out of nowhere that caught the Lotus Ninjas' attention.

"Ha, told you!" Lee said excitedly as she stood in front of the secret passage. "Now, where's Cardcaster?"

Lee searched around the shadowy passage as Ellie rested on Lee's left cheek and then Donna rested her cheek on Lee's right cheek.

"Be careful, girls." Ella said as she approached her sisters. "We can't tell what trick Cardcaster got in that sleeve of hers."

As the Lotus Ninjas looked into the passage, they weren't aware that Cardcaster was watching them from the shadows. Cardcaster slowly approached the Lotus Ninjas from behind and held out a playing card in between her index and middle fingers as she towered over the four mystics. The Lotus Ninjas flinched and turned around to scream once the playing card went flying to them.

[Flashback Ends]

Ella's eyes widened wide in realization.

"That's it!" Ella gasped. "Cardcaster trapped us in some kind of card illusion."

"Card illusion? I gotta say that was pretty clever even for her." Lee said as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Listen up, if we're gotta out of here, we need to put our brain together and...!" Ella said. She detected Donna dancing to the music. "Donna, quit dancing and focus for a minute?!"

"I can't help it! You know, the 90s music is my jam." Donna said as she continued dancing to the beat. "Less talk and more boogie."

"Wait, that's it! We're stuck in a 90s makeover montage!" Ellie said in glee. "That's why we keep changing into different outfits!"

"We can see that, Ellie. But how do we get out of here?" Ella demanded.

Lee moved her eyes to the boom box and noticed the bright green glow illuminating around it in realization.

"Uh, girls." Lee said. "The boom box is glowing!"

Lee, Donna, Ellie, and Ella gathered around the glowing boom box. As they stared at it closely, the bright green glow transformed into Cardcaster's wicked face, causing the girls to scream with wide eyes.

"It's the boom box!" Lee shouted. "Kill it!"

The Lotus Ninjas blasted their magic at the boombox and destroyed it. The bright green glow emitted a large energy wave, returning the mystic sisters and the entire fitting room back to normal.

"Oh, yes!" Ellie cheered. "We're finally free!"

"Donna, find Cardcaster." Ella said to Donna.

Donna nodded her head. She crouched down and pressed her right hand on the ground, concentrating on her earth magic around the room and picking up vibrations of a female robotic mystic.

"Got her." Donna said. "Hang on."

Donna summoned a large purple flower from the ground underneath the quartet. The giant flower then sucked the mystics into the hole at the center and sank itself down to the ground.

The large flower rose up from the floor and bloomed itself. The Lotus Ninjas hopped out and landed on the ground just in time to see Cardcaster going through the vault on the other side of the room.

"Finally! At last!" Cardcaster said as she held the Rubik cube in her hand. She turned around to notice the Lotus Ninjas' arrival with a groan. "Oh, great."

"Step away from that cube, Cardcaster!" Ella demanded.

"And gave up on the cube's magnificent power? Not a chance!" Cardcaster said. She held the Rubik cube in between her hands. "You may have escaped my fashion trap, but if you want the cube, come and get it!"

"Get her!" Ella yelled.

The Lotus Ninjas ran and jumped over Cardcaster. But Cardcaster then rotated the face of the cube around with fast speed, summoning four large playing cards to appear in front of her. The Lotus Ninjas didn't have time to react as the playing cards formed a vortex and sucked them inside.

Cardcaster rotated the face of the cube around and summoned another playing card behind her before flipping inside.

Ella arrived in a different room that has four stained glass windows with red hearts on them. She was standing on a flying metallic circular platform against a playing card that printed Ella as the Queen of Hearts. The Queen Ella stepped out of the playing card with a black wand that has a red heart on the tip in her hand.

Ella swiftly released a thick whip of magical fire from her right hand and wrapped it around Queen Ella to restrain her. She wasted no time swinging Queen Ella around out of platform. But Queen Ella waved her wand around and fired a blast of red magic to the ground with amazing force, releasing a large mass of ice that froze the ground and quickly traveled up towards Ella. That attack instantly frozen and immobilized Ella halfway.

Donna arrived in a different room that has four stained glass windows with black clubs on them. She was standing on a flying metallic circular platform against a playing card that printed Donna as the Queen of Clubs. Queen Donna stepped out of the playing card with a black wand that has a purple clubs on the tip in her hand.

Donna unleashed several purple energy waves straight towards Queen Donna at full strength. Queen Donna simply waved her wand around and protected herself from the energy waves. Queen Donna then charged up her wand and electrocuted Donna with surges of electricity, leaving her immobilize and short circuit at the same time.

Ellie arrived in a different room that has four stained glass windows with red diamond on them. She was standing on a flying metallic circular platform against a playing card that printed Ellie as the Queen of Diamonds. The Queen Ellie stepped out of the playing card with a black wand that has an orange diamond on the tip in her hand.

Ellie rapidly fired orange energy blasts at Queen Ellie, who swiftly flew across the platform to evade the energy blasts. As Ellie kept firing energy blasts, Queen Ellie soared high above Ellie and shot explosive bolts at her with faster speed.

Lee arrived in a different room that has four stained glass windows with black spades on them. She was standing on a flying metallic circular platform against a playing card that printed Lee as the Queen of Spades. The Queen Lee stepped out of the playing card with a black wand that has a blue spade on the tip in her hand.

Queen Lee swiftly multiple crescent blades of energy toward Lee, who tried to counter the energy blades by blasting beams of blue energy at her. Queen Lee easily evaded the energy beams and fired a large glowing ball of energy that quickly knocked her out of platform with a single strike.

Cardcaster watched the playing card version of the Lotus Ninjas from the card dimension in enjoyment. She suddenly looked up at the beaten-up Lotus Ninjas, who stared down at her with glares. Cardcaster smiled sheepishly and sped away. The Lotus Ninjas speedily followed after her.

Cardcaster summoned a playing card in her hands and tossed it forward. The playing card enlarged itself into a swirly portal and Cardcaster jumped right through it. The Lotus Ninjas followed and hopped through the swirly portal.

The Lotus Ninjas landed on the floor inside an unfamiliar room from the Magic Town House.

"O.M.G!" Lee exclaimed as she slid in front of the female statue. "It's Venus de Magic! The Queen of Quickchange! I'm a huge fan of her!"

Lee levitated out her phone with her magic and took a quick selfie of herself and the statue.

"Lee, we don't have time for this right now." Ella said.

Cardcaster silently emerged out of the shadows. She loomed over the Lotus Ninjas with a glowing playing card in her hand for an unexpected strike.

Suddenly, the playing sound of 90s music caught Cardcaster's attention.

"Wait a minute. If I'm gonna fight you, I'm going to fight...in style." Cardcaster said.

Cardcaster backflipped behind the dressing room and started dressing up various stylish outfits with supermodel poses. But she wasn't aware that the 90s music mesmerized her under its trance, thanks to a light purple wireless headphones that was placed on her ears.

"Nice thinking, D!" Ella grinned.

"You copied Cardcaster's spell?" Ellie asked.

"I managed to record it before we destroy the boombox." Donna replied as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Including anything else back home?" Lee questioned in alarm as she moved next to Donna. "We know how sneaky you are when it comes to recording."

"Maybe." Donna answered slowly with a smirk.

Ella, Ellie, and Lee stared at Donna with deadpan faces.

"Alright, let's grab Grandma Kalmia's cube and go home." Ella said.

"I'm so gonna love unlocking the secrets of her cube once we get home." Lee said as she stared at the cube in her hands.

"Yeah, no." Donna said as she snatched the cube out of Lee's hand and walked away. "That cube requires intelligence. Besides, you're not the only one who wants to know about our great-grandma's intellectual secrets."

"C'mon, that's not fair and you know it, Donna!" Lee whined as she ran after Donna.

Ella and Ellie shook their heads as they followed after their sisters, leaving Cardcaster behind alone in a hypnotic trance.
