Summary: Magus arranged a new Wiccan Nexus arena, and the Lotus Ninjas have to fight to save everyone they love.
On the road in New York City, the Sonicruiser rolled along the street at high speed. A loud blast of pop punk music blared inside the vehicle.
"I love this song!" Ella exclaimed.
Ella had her hands on the wheel and nodded her head to the beat. In the passenger seat, Donna made "horn" rocker symbols with her left hand and glanced at her cell phone in her right hand. In the back of the vehicle, Raven and Saldana was eating a chocolate candy bar while Ellie, Lee, and Angel were taking selfies with their phones.
Ella drove the Sonicruiser through an antique shop parking lot.
Suddenly, a swirly pale blue portal pulled up out of nowhere in the Sonicruiser's direction.
"Oh snap! What the heck...?!" Ella yelled in panic as she quickly turned the wheel.
Ella slammed onto the breaks, skidding the Sonicruiser to a stop. She turned off the radio and glanced at the location.
The Sonicruiser halted on a massive arena floating around clouds in the sky. Above the arena are four large white octahedrons rotated around. Fourteen pillars engraved with Egyptian language stood around the edge of the arena field. The arena consists of an open center tiled in white.
The Dragoness family hopped out of the vehicle and looked around the arena in awe.
"No way..." Donna said.
"Where are we?" Ellie asked.
"You're in a Wiccan Nexus stadium!"
The Dragoness family turned their heads to the source of that familiar voice. Raven narrowed her eyes in annoyance at Magus.
"I'm sorry, the what now?" Donna asked in confusion.
"Magus!" Raven said firmly.
"Raven." Magus greeted.
"I should have known and I know why you brought us here." Raven said as she angrily stepped in front of Magus. "Because you are not signing us up for your stupid game!"
"Aw, what's the matter, Raven?" Magus asked with a teasing smirk. He then narrowed his eyes in anger. "Are you afraid that someone will steal your champion title?"
Raven crossed her arms and rolled her eyes as she knew where this conservation is going.
"Especially you/I won the Nexus all year as a six-time champion in the row?!" Raven and Magus said simultaneously.
"That was third hundred years ago, Magus. You gotta let that go." Raven said with a deadpan look on her face. "And besides, if you remember correctly, my daughter Ophelia took my champion. Then, my granddaughter Neoma took it after her. Then, my descendant Camellia took it after I reclaim it. And then, Saldana is the last one who took it."
"You're the Nexus champion?!" Ella, Ellie, Lee, and Donna exclaimed as they turned their heads to Saldana.
"Yup, way back." Saldana said smugly.
"So, what do you say, Raven?" Magus asked Raven.
"Not a chance." Raven replied as she turned away from Magus.
"We'll do it." Lee said as she stepped in between Magus and Raven. "My sisters and I will challenge for the champion title."
"What?!" Raven exclaimed.
"Now, that's the spirit!" Magus smiled.
"I heard about Wiccan Nexus from our trip at the Hidden City nonstop." Lee said to Magus. "We can take on whatever you challengers you pick in this tournament. Sounds fun?"
Magus began laughing at Lee. Ella, Ellie, and Donna stood behind Lee as they glared at him in determination. Then, Magus noticed their glare and stopped laughing.
"Oh, you're serious?" Magus said. He leaned towards Lee. "You do fail to realize this is an one on one fighting tournament?"
"And you failed to realize my sisters and I are trained by the Dragoness." Lee retorted with a smirk. "The best of the best."
"Ha, your confidence amuses me." Magus said. "Win the tournament and win the champion title. But if one of you fail to claim the title, you lose your chance. Now, that's settled. Game on."
The official Wiccan Nexus was set to begin. The crowd of mystics from all over the country erupted into loud cheers in the stadium. Angel, Raven, and Saldana are seated in a private balcony of the stadium to witness the tournament.
Then, the octahedrons pulled up jumbo screens that featured Magus to signal the opening ceremony.
"Welcome to Wiccan Nexus!" Magus announced. "Let me hear ya scream as our contestants make their way to the main stage! This group are no strangers to the spotlight! You know them as dazzling members of the Dragoness! The Lotus Ninjas!"
The Lotus Ninjas walked out to the stadium, causing the entire audience to cheer for their arrival.
"Woah, so many people." Ellie said with a smile as she looked around the stadium.
"But we've got this. As long as we are together, we can teamwork through anything!" Ella declared.
"Next up, these four ladies are one of the strongest mystics from their countries all over the world!" Magus continued. "Give it up for the X-Canaries!"
Four teenage mystics walked out to the stadium, catching the Lotus Ninjas' attention and making the entire audience to cheer for their arrival.
A Native American mystic has tan skin, long raven-black hair, and dark brown eyes. She wore a small black crop top exposing her midriff with three blue marks, black leather shorts with dark blue tights, golden octopus-shaped earrings, and black wedge shoes. An Arabian mystic has olive skin, straight lush black hair reaching her thighs tied in a high ponytail with a golden snake-shaped metallic band, and brown eyes. She wore a small black crop top exposing her midriff with three red marks, black leather shorts with dark red tights, golden octopus-shaped earrings, and black wedge shoes. A French mystic has fair skin, long brown hair tied back in a low ponytail with a blue ribbon, and hazel eyes. She wore a small black crop top exposing her midriff with three purple marks, black leather shorts with dark purple tights, golden octopus-shaped earrings, and black wedge shoes. And a Danish mystic has fair skin, long bright red hair, and deep aqua blue eyes. She wore a small black crop top exposing her midriff with three orange marks, black leather shorts with dark orange tights, golden octopus-shaped earrings, and black wedge shoes.
Then, a mystic woman magically appeared at the center of the platform stage as a chief referee for the Wiccan Nexus. She has pale grey skin, bluish-gray hair tied in a bun, and yellow eyes. She wore a Persian blue coat over a gray large-bottomed dress and a purple brooch. She also wore a black high-heeled boots.
"Greetings, mystics!" A female mystic announced. "Carlotta here. You're just in time for witness this year's Wiccan Nexus! Without further ado, it's time for us to get started!"
As Carlotta snapped her fingers, a large holographic screen popped up above her. The screen showed a combat bracket of the tournament matches.
"Ta-da! Eight contestants will compete in a series of one-on-one matches to show the world what they're really made of!" Carlotta announced. "And now it's time to see who will be facing who!"
All the contestants looked up at the large holographic screen that showed all of the selective match-ups for the first bracket:
Rafaela vs. Ametrine
Michelle vs. Rubellite
Leona vs. Hessonite
Donatella vs. Sapphire
"Eight brave and worthy champions, but only one shall win!" Carlotta added.
The Lotus Ninjas and the X-Canaries turned around to notice a large circular platform was forming at the center of the stadium. The torches lit up around the platform for the first tournament match.
"Welcome to the first match, ladies and gentlemen!" Carlotta announced. "Rafaela versus Ametrine!"
An uproar of outstanding applause coming from the crowd echoed through the stadium. Lee, Donna, Ellie, Sapphire, Hessonite, and Rubellite seated in a private balcony.
Raven, Angel, and Saldana observed the first match from the private balcony. Angel was eating a bowl of popcorn, Raven crossed her arms with an irritating frown, and Saldana took a bite of chocolate candy bar.
From the crowd, Shadow Recruit was wearing a black hooded cloak as she carried a bowl of popcorn and candy bars.
Ella and Ametrine walked onto the platform that started floating in midair.
"Let the match begin!" Carlotta said.
Ametrine quickly shot two blasts of sonic energy at Ella from her hands. But Ella avoided the attack and charged forward to deliver an upward sweeping kick with her energized leg, which Ametrine haven't blocked it in time. Ella then quickly dashed past Ametrine before delivering a huge roundhouse kick with her other energized leg that sent her spinning toward the ground. Before Ametrine could fire more blasts of sonic energy, Ella extended her energized legs and spun herself up in the air while delivering multiple spin kicks in a tornado-like fashion that trapped and bounced Ametrine around in the vortex before knocking her hard to the ground in defeat.
Everyone silently watched Ella's powerful display of magic in awe and in disbelief. Magus and Carlotta observed with wide, shocking eyes. Lee, Donna, and Ellie cheered excitedly for their oldest sister's victory.
"Ametrine has been defeated! Ella advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed.
The entire crowd immediately cheered for Ella's victory.
"Second match will now begin!" Carlotta announced. "Michelle versus Rubellite!"
Ellie and Rubellite walked onto the platform that started floating in midair.
"Let the match begin!" Carlotta said.
Rubellite summoned twenty energized butterflies flying around her in circles and directed nine of them to attack Ellie like missiles. But Ellie blocked the attack with an orange force field and charged forward to perform a jumping orange energized kick at Rubellite, who dodged the attack and jumped up in the air as the remaining butterflies enveloped her body and she aimed to attack Ellie in a drilling motion. Ellie then performed backflipping energized kicks at Rubellite in rapid succession and delivered several dashing attacks back and forth past Rubellite that knocked her out to her defeat.
"Rubellite has been defeated! Ellie advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed.
The entire crowd, including Ellie's oldest sisters, immediately cheered for Ellie's victory.
"The third match is on the roll!" Carlotta announced. "Leona versus Hessonite!"
Lee and Hessonite walked onto the platform that started floating in midair.
"Let the match begin!" Carlotta said.
Lee charged forward and launched a series of spinning kick that hit Hessonite with her blue energized legs in rapid succession. Hessonite fired rapid blasts of compressed light energy at Lee from her hands in stylish poses, but Lee swiftly dodged the incoming exploding fireworks with a smirk. Lee then gathered intense blue magical energy in her palms and released a stationary concussive blast that his Hessonite in a large energy ball. Hessonite then jumped into the air and fired blasts of compressed light energy at Ellie in a 360-degree fashion. Lee charged forward again and delivered powerful kick at Hessonite with incredible speed before knocking her into the air with a high-standing vertical upward heel kick.
"Hessonite has been defeated! Lee advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed.
The entire crowd, including Lee's supportive sisters, immediately cheered for Lee's victory.
"Time for the final match, folks!" Carlotta announced. "Donatella versus Sapphire!"
Donna and Sapphire walked onto the platform that started floating in midair.
"Let the match begin!" Carlotta said.
Sapphire sprang up high in the air and bombarded Donna with rapid shards of ice in a form of snowstorm, but Donna gathered a massive amount of magical energy in her hand and fired a large ball of purple energy at Sapphire, who didn't block it in time. Sapphire recovered and radiated a field of lightning energy before sending several lightning bolts to attack Donna with rapid speed. But Donna protected herself from the attack with a purple force field. She then launched herself upwards and drew magical energy from her hands in shapes of blades as she quickly delivered a series of slashes that attacked Sapphire from multiple directions and slammed her into the ground.
"Sapphire has been defeated! Donna advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed. "The Lotus Ninjas are all moving up to the second round of the Wiccan Nexus!"
The entire crowd, including Donna's supportive sisters, immediately cheered for Donna's victory.
Angel and Saldana cheered happily from the balcony. Raven looked up at the wide-eyed, eye-twitching Magus and smirked victoriously.
"Welcome to the second round of the Wiccan Nexus! Time for the first match!" Carlotta announced. "Leona versus Rafaela!"
Lee summoned a stream of big bubbles from her hands that hit Ella multiple times at great force. Ella recovered and released a large, bullet-like stream of fire towards her younger sister, which Lee haven't blocked it in time. Ella then unleashed a number of fiery, curved red beams that attacked Lee all at once. Before Lee attacked Ella with another water-based attack, Ella extended her hands upwards and conjured a large skull-shaped ball of fire before throwing it at Lee in a large explosion.
"Lee has been defeated! Ella advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed.
The entire crowd, including Donna and Ellie, immediately cheered for Ella's victory.
"Let's move on to the second match!" Carlotta announced. "Donatella versus Michelle!"
Donna stomped her boot to the ground and summoned purple roses around Ellie that sprouted long thick vines to attack her. Ellie evaded the launching vines with flexible backflips from different directions before creating a tornado that surrounded the roses and shredded them into pieces. Ellie then turned her attention to Donna and released a powerful tornado of wind from her mouth. But Donna performed a full split on the ground and avoided the powerful tornado before standing up and creating several pillars of earth that hit Ellie one by one. Ellie spun herself rapidly and unleashed several blades of wind that attacked Donna, who dodged the wind blades with swift speed. Donna then shot mud in the air that fired multiple compressed beams, hitting Ellie to the ground in complete defeat.
"Ellie has been defeated! Donna advances to the next round!" Carlotta confirmed.
The entire crowd, including Ella and Lee, immediately cheered for Donna's victory.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you all been waiting for! The final round of the Wiccan Nexus!" Carlotta announced. "But which one of these contestants will finish to earn the champion title? Get ready for Rafaela versus Donatella!"
Donna stomped her boot to the ground and exploded the earth underneath Ella with showering debris of rocks. Ella gathered magical fire in her hands and released in Donna's direction in a form of a large, exploding fireball. Before Donna could get up from the ground, Ella engulfed her entire body in flames and then propelled herself against Donna at high speed, hitting her with a powerful headbutt and sending her flying up in the air before Donna crashed hard to the ground. Donna stood on her knees and brought her hands down onto the ground, manipulating rocks from the ground to envelop and crushing them in an explosion. Ella rushed forward and produced a large stream of fire from both hands, attacking and burning Donna from the blunt force. Donna then summoned numerous dragon-shaped roses that appeared from the ground and surrounded Ella with intense faces. The dragon roses then fired glowing seeds at Ella that exploded her upon contact, sending her collapse on the ground in utter defeat.
"Ella has been defeated! Donna is the winner!" Carlotta confirmed. "Donatella is our new Wiccan Nexus champion!"
The entire crowd immediately cheered for Donna's victory. Lee, Ellie, Saldana, Angel, and Raven cheered excitedly for the purple mystic kunoichi's victory.
Magus watched the aftermath with wide, shocking eyes.
With the Wiccan Nexus concluded, the awards ceremony started with Donna, Ella, and Lee standing on the podiums. Donna stood on a first place podium, Ella stood on a second place podium, and Lee stood on a third place podium. The entire crowd, including Ellie, Raven, Angel, and Saldana, erupted in cheers for their victory.
Before Carlotta could distribute the medals, Magus interrupted the awards ceremony with annoyance.
"Not quite yet!" Magus announced. "I'm adding another contestant in the game at the last second!"
A grey skull-shaped brooch glowed in dark grey light on Magus's chest. A navy blue portal was produced above the podiums, making three mystic sisters scatter out of the way.
Then, a mysterious feminine figure landed in the first place podium. She wore a large black velvet hood that conceals her face and a black cloak with a high collar with two long white scarves ending in green rags that resemble flames.
"Are you kidding me right now, Magus?" Raven shouted at Magus. "It's four against one, you cheater!"
"Heh, like your descendants are strong enough to defeat my secret weapon alone!" Magus retorted with a smile. "I want someone to earn that champion by my chosen ones!"
"Come on, girls! Let's show Magus why you don't mess with the Dragoness!" Ella declared.
Ella charged forward and slammed her hand on the ground, forming a ring of flaming pillars around the cloaked figure that instantly merged into one large fiery pillar. But the cloaked figure felt no damage and summoned a pile of black skull-shaped vines from the ground to grapple Ella's feet before tossing her across the field. Ellie waved her hand and released a strong gust with light orange crescent-shaped energy blades that slashed around the cloaked figure. Unfortunately, the cloaked figure avoided the attack and unleashed an endless array of black energized skulls that was flying in towards Ellie, who was getting hit repeatedly. Lee quickly surrounded herself with multiple rings of water and launched herself to attack the cloaked figure in rapid speed. But the cloaked figure didn't react to pain and delivered a roundhouse kick that sent Lee flying to the ground. Donna circled multiple purple razor-sharp petals around her hands and then fired them at the cloaked figure, who dodged the attack and extended her arms to send a large wave of black circles that hit Donna at great force.
The entire crowd screamed and began teleporting away. Carlotta and the four other contestants quickly teleported away to avoid the debris happening around the stadium.
All except Shadow Recruit, whose eyes slowly widened wide when she caught the look on the cloaked figure's face.
"Wha...what?" Shadow Recruit muttered. "It can't be."
The cloaked figure spun herself around in quick speed and released glowing black energy blasts from her body at the Lotus Ninjas, but they jumped high in the air and fired large magical energy bolts at the cloaked figure from different direction. But the cloaked figure created a large glowing black ball of energy in between her hand and fired it at the Lotus Ninjas, who scattered out of the way. The Lotus Ninjas began placing their hands on the ground and expanded a circular seal made of four large pure magical rings underneath the cloaked figure, suspending her from moving away.
"Hey, freakshow! You messed with the wrong sisters!" Ella yelled.
Ella, Donna, Lee, and Ellie jumped forward as they unleashed light red, purple, blue, and orange rings of magical energy that sent the cloaked figure pummeling to the wall.
Then suddenly, a feminine laugh echoed from the stands. The Lotus Ninjas, Saldana, Angel, Raven, and Magus turned their heads to Shadow Recruit, who held the brooch in between her index and middle fingers. Magus looked down at his tie and his eyes widened in shock that Shadow Recruit snatched the brooch undetected.
"Shadow Recruit? What are you doing here?" Lee demanded.
"I'm surprised you girls haven't figure it out yet!" Shadow Recruit said. "That opponent you're fighting is...Lady Shade!"
The Lotus Ninjas looked back at the cloaked figure in utter shock. The large hood flew off that revealed the cloaked figure's familiar face.
"NO! WAY!" Donna, Ella, Ellie, Lee, Saldana, Raven, and Angel exclaimed in pure shock.
"That's right!" Shadow Recruit said. "Lady Shade, attack your enemies!"
Lady Shade's eyes glowed bright grey.
"That's our exit!" Raven said to Angel and Saldana.
Saldana quickly conjured a large white portal underneath the Lotus Ninjas, descending them safely through it. She closed the portal and conjured another portal underneath herself, Raven, and Angel as they descended through it.
Magus wasted no time sticking around and immediately teleported away with a glare on his face.
"The Dragoness doesn't concern me." Shadow Recruit said. "Long live the Shadow Clan!"
