Time Period: A Flashback- An Alternate Universe
Place: A hideout place
Situation: Post John's birth (rebirth)-kyle (Jai Courtney) almost forgets about Sarah's birthday in which is October 3rd
(still recovering from giving birth (it was super long and hard labor and delivery), Sarah (Emilia Clarke) sits on the couch nursing John (an seven or eight month old baby) and watching tv. Kyle and Pops (baking brownies for Sarah's birthday) spend time talking in the kitchen.)
Kyle: There is something special about today, October 3rd. I wish I knew why.
Pops: Today is Sarah's birthday. I am baking brownies for her birthday.
Kyle (feeling guilty): I forgot today is Sarah's birthday. I didn't buy her anything. I have been so busy with John and tracking down Skynet.
Pops: You gave her John. This gift is pretty good enough. John is all that matters now.
Kyle (observing Sarah and John bonding): Sarah has been through a lot these past seven or eight months. I feel guilty for not remembering her birthday. She deserves a gift especially after giving birth to our son.
Pops: You still have time to buy her a gift
(Quickly and secretly, Kyle leaves the house to buy a birthday gift for Sarah. Sarah is so consumed with John that she doesn't realize Kyle is gone.)
Sarah (carrying and nursing John at the same time, she walks slowly over to the kitchen): I am surely hungry
Pops (helping Sarah back to the couch): Please sit down. You need to take it easy in your condition. You haven't recovered fully from giving birth.
Sarah (sitting down with John): You are right
Pops (placing a brownie on the table for Sarah): Happy birthday, sweetheart
Sarah (smiling): Thanks
Pops (in reference to John): How is our little warrior?
Sarah (looking down at John who is drinking his bottle): He is a big and strong boy. He is a survivor and a miracle. He has been the best birthday gift so far.
Kyle (bearing a gift for Sarah, he walks through the door): There is still more gifts yet to come
Sarah (thrilled): What did you buy for me?
Kyle (showing off the gifts) : I brought you a dress, a charm bracelet, and new boots. Happy birthday.
Sarah: Thanks
Kyle: You are welcome
(Kyle and Pops bond- play with John while Sarah tries on the dress, boots, and charm bracelet. The flashback ends)
Time Period: The Present Reality
Date: 10-3-2020
Scene: The Kitchen
Action: John and Cameron are baking double chocolate muffins plus cooking breakfast for Sarah's birthday. Kitty and Chance are preparing the table for breakfast.
Kitty and Chance (to John and Cameron): Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Derek are coming downstairs for breakfast
John (rushing Cameron): Please hurry up, Cam.
Cameron (taking the food out of the oven): The food is ready
John (placing the food on the table): We are so ready to eat
(The three adults come downstairs and the food is prayed over as usual. Sarah (Lena) enjoys her birthday breakfast especially the gifts and the words of encouragement. She savors and cherishes this special moment with her family forever.)
