Chapter 17: Rampage of the Rivals. Vegeta vs Shadow.

"Seriously, did anyone else notice that?" Usopp asked again as it loaded.

Chopper nodded and said, "Yeah, they did sound kind of similar."

Isom simply declared, "Yeah, the multiverse can only have so many voices apparently."

Usopp then asked, "Huh, I wonder if there are any other people who wound like me?"

Isom briefly considered the idea of telling Usopp about the nigh unstoppable squid man, created after being loaded up with antimatter, and then teaching a class about assassination to kill him…but decided against it.

Wiz said, "Competition can bring out the best and worst in someone. The drive to be the best can certainly make someone dangerous."

Zoro nodded in understanding as his rivalry with Kuina and his drive to defeat Mihawk were what drove him.

Boomstick said, "And with these two, rivalries have turned them into the stuff of legends. Vegeta, the prince of the saiyans, and rival to Goku."

Wiz said, "And Shadow the Hedgehog, edge lord and rival to Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm Wizard, that's Boomstick."

"You know I would be saying that this battle seemed one-sided," Brook said, "seeing that this is a grown man against a hedgehog. However, given that we saw a cartoony dinosaur defeat a man-made monster not too long ago, I think I will just wait until the end."

Nami said, "Yeah. Maybe we should just throw logic out the window with these battles."

Isom blinked and then asked, "Wait you haven't done that yet? I thought you did that the moment you entered the grand line?"

Nami said, "I still need it o keep my sanity around some of these guys."

Isom blinked and declared, "Fair enough."

Boomstick finished, "And we're testing out their weapons, armor, and skill to find out who would win a death battle."

The doors close and reopen.

Wiz said, "Before we begin, it should be noted that Vegeta, and the other characters of the Dragonball universe, offer a unique challenge."

Boomstick said, "Yeah. We got two different canons to choose from. The Super timeline and GT timeline. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem as we could combine both timelines, but the Vegeta in the Super timeline has different abilities as opposed to the Vegeta of the GT timeline and is a hell of a lot more powerful."

"Two different canons?" Robin asked, looked to Isom for answered.

"The dragonball series has been split into different eras. The first era, Dragonball, detailed Son Goku, the main character, as a small child and coming into age at the end. Dragonball Z details Goku finding out about his origins and dealing with enemies from the stars and beyond. Finally, Dragonball GT, the timeline they're using here, as Goku going on a huge mission into space after an incident which I will not spoil for you, the same for Super. Anyway, both GT and Super take place around the same time. Whichever version is canon is up to the fans."

Robin nodded in understanding.

Wiz said, "After a few rounds of rock paper scissors, and asking a magic eight ball, we've decided to go with the Vegeta of the GT timeline. Are you ready? Well, here we go."

Wiz cleared his throat and said, "Many years ago, the saiyans were a proud warrior race, doing battle with their rivals the Tuffles on their home planet, Vegeta."

Boomstick said, "Unfortunately, the Tuffles were a bunch of nerds that didn't stand a chance against the big monkey tailed bastards and were soon killed off."

"Survival of the fittest," Zoro said, though he was slightly disturbed at the sight of the massacre.

Robin's eyes hardened as he thought back to the massacre of her people. This seemed like that, but only for power instead of knowledge. She had a distinct feeling that she was not going to like Vegeta.

Wiz said, "For over seven hundred years, we believe, the Saiyans ruled the planet Vegeta, and when it was ruled by King Vegeta and would soon be ruled by his son, Vegeta. Unfortunately, fearing the chances of the saiyans surpassing him in power, their tyrannical ruler Frieza destroyed the planet, leaving only a few survivors, of course, including Vegeta."

"Wow…that…sounds like it would be confusing," Sanji said, hearing the name Vegeta said so many times and named for so many things.

Luffy looked confused, "Wait is the hedgehog fighting the prince, the planet, or the king."

Boomstick suddenly asked, "Wait, the king, the planet, or the contestant?"

Wiz answered, "Yes."

Boomstick grumbled, "Smartass."

Everyone let out a laugh as they all saw Vegeta's fear.

"Not a word curly brow," Zoro growled, "Not a word."

Boomstick said, "Moving on, Vegeta spent his entire life travelling the cosmos and conquering planets in Frieza's name, alongside his big bruiser buddy/minion, Nappa, but his eyes were set on a greater prize, to one day gain the power to defeat the tyrannical Frieza."

Wiz said, "He would get a chance to do that when he intercepted a communication from his fellow Saiyan, of a lower class of course, Raditz from the planet Earth. There Vegeta learned about the dragonballs."

Boomstick said, "For those of you who don't know. The dragonballs are these magic crystal balls. When you get them all together, and speak an ancient phrase, a magical dragon genie pops out and grants you a wish, or three wishes in some cases. In Vegeta's case, immortality."

"Whoa," Luffy said, "Magic balls. Hey, Isom can you make those?"

Isom said, "Unfortunately, I can't. We stick to science not magic. Plus, given how people are in this world…probably not a good idea."

Chopper looked confused at the interdimensional traveler and asked, "What do you mean. I'll tell you later."

Wiz declared, "With his goals in sight, Vegeta and Nappa went to Earth with the intention of wiping out its warriors and wishing for immortality…but Nappa got killed and Vegeta got his ass whooped. This would be the beginning of a long rivalry with Goku, and as time passed, Vegeta would come to call the Earth home, and even become one of its greatest defenders."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, and who wouldn't want Vegeta as a bodyguard?"

The rest of the crew all quieted down as they leaned in to see what Vegeta could do.

Wiz continued, "But his greatest ability, is his Saiyan power. The genetic ability of a Saiyan to grow stronger after recovering from terrible injuries or struggling against great odds. The former, being when he repeatedly got his ass kicked by Frieza and his men, and the latter when he trained in amped up gravity."

Zoro had to admit he was impressed. It took a lot to get that strong and he knew given all the hard work he put into his training.

Chopper yelled, "He increased gravity. That is insane. His bones should have been crushed and the detrimental effects should have been unbelievable."

Isom simply stated, "Plot armor and alien genetics."

Sanji asked, "Do you think you can do that to us?"

Isom shrugged and said, "Maybe later."

Boomstick said, "Damn! While useful, this does have its limits. The size of the power is either too low or crazy high, depending on the situation, and he can't get stronger by injuring himself. That would make it too easy."

Wiz said, "It should also be noted that Vegeta can transform into a great ape when under the light of the full moon, that will come up later, but he lost this ability when he had his tail cut off."

"Whoa," Chopper said, "That's crazy! It's like my monster point but much bigger."

Isom nodded and explained, "It is. The Oozaru form greatly increases a saiyan's power but can cause them to go mad due to primal instincts. Though, through training Vegeta was able to learn how to keep his mind in his great ape form."

Chopper blinked in surprise and began to wonder if he practiced with his monster point enough, he would be able to control the massive form.

Boomstick said, "Yeah, he can also beat the living tar out of them with Elite Assault and Genocide Breaker, and can counter with the Amazing Impact, or Wild Hunt, and can freak them out with the afterimage move."

Franky whistled and said, "Dang. It's like all of CP9 put together. This guys skills alone put him above those guys."

Usopp nodded and said, "Yeah. I wonder if any of us could keep up with him."

"I doubt that" Isom muttered to himself."

Wiz said, "However, his greatest ability is to use and mold ki, a powerful energy source that dwells with a being's body, and can be brought out for tangible and, most of the time, very powerful attacks."

Boomstick said, "And everyone in the dragonball universe can use it to enhance strikes and launch giant lasers beams or balls of death! Well, almost everyone."

Shows an image of Mr. Satan getting bitch-slapped by Cell.

Boomstick and Wiz both chuckled at that scene before turning serious again.

Everyone got a chuckle as they saw the fight, and Nami said, "I'm getting some serious Buggy vibes from that afro guy."

Luffy nodded and said, "Yeah, the only thing missing is the big red nose."

They had no idea how right they were.

It can also be used for telekinesis, telepathy, and can even be used to help Vegeta hold his breath underwater for extended periods of time."

Franky said, "Dang. This ki stuff is like Haki, but a lot more versatile."

Usopp then realized something and asked, "Wait…how come Akuma didn't use any of this stuff. He used ki too."

Everyone looked to Isom for an answer.

"Ki and its uses depend on the multiverse. I actually know of a universe where they use a version of ki called nen and can materialize objects out of midair, heal, and manipulate things, but they can't fly."

Having to take his word for it, the group looked back to their show.

Boomstick said, "But the most important use is the giant blasts of pure destruction. His trademark move is his purple-colored Galick Gun, or one of its variants like the Final Galick Cannon, the Final Burst cannon, or the Galick Blazer."

Wiz said, "He can also cause widespread destruction with the Super Explosive Wave, cause his opponents to explode with the Dirty Fireworks technique, incinerate them in the fiery Shine Shot, or rain destruction down with the Lucora Gun."

"Damn," Franky said, "Imagine if Akuma was born in this world. He'd be even more unstoppable."

Brook actually fainted as he imagined Akuma unleashing soul killing ki blasts upon an army. Chopper immediately ran to the skeleton's side.

Boomstick said, "He's also got the Big Bang Attack, and no it is not related to the Big Bang. It is a giant ball of death that can wipe out his opponents and can rival an atomic warhead if the giant mushroom cloud is anything to go bye, or he can use the Final Flash, a two-handed blast technique that take some time to charge but is more than powerful enough to destroy a planet."

Wiz said, "And we are only thinking about Vegeta's base form here. After the battle with Frieza, Vegeta trained his ass off to match Goku, and soon became the legendary Super Saiyan."

Shows a clip of Vegeta transforming before his battle with Android 19.

Everyone blinked in surprise at the transformation.

Zoro suddenly said, "I don't get it. All it did was change the color of his eyes and his hair. And Super Saiyan. They couldn't have come up with a cooler sounding name?"

Robin asked, "Well what would you call it."

Unable to think of anything Zoro just kept quiet.

Wiz said, "To put a number to this, Vegeta's ki output can cause rocks to crumble and even cause the atmosphere to change and push around clouds, which takes a lot more power than you think. According to the Dragonball Wiki, this takes a power level of 10,000 at least."

Boomstick said, "Now before people go crazy, we should all know that power levels are absolutely bullshit. Given how they keep rising and getting stronger, and people kept underestimating others because they could hide their ki levels, it isn't a good thing. Wiz is just using this for reference."

Wiz nodded to his cohost and said, "Thank you. With a base power of 10,000, the Super Saiyan Power level, would be 500,000. And with that number, a Super Saiyan 2's power, which is double that, would be about 1 million. Just showing the math here. Frieza once clocked in his power at that number in his second form during the Namek saga, and he was powerful enough to casually destroy planets!"

Everyone was no pale at the idea. It was bad enough that the guy was strong enough to destroy armies but destroy planets with his bare hands. Just the idea had them shaking.

Boomstick said, "And Vegeta's power level, again for reference, was way higher than that, when he got his transformations. No wonder this dude is so tough.

Robin blinked and said, "Is that…a cracked dragonball in that creature's body?"

Nami asked, "Hey you're right. Isom what is the story there."

Usopp then remembered something asked, "Is…is that the reason you think bringing the dragonball here would be a bad idea?"

Isom nodded and said, "Over the years, the dragonballs were used repeatedly both for stupid and noble reasons. This caused negative ki to build up in them. Now, normally the dragonballs would siphon off the negative energy, but thanks to a special device built by Vegeta's wife, Bulma, they were found far more often, and didn't have time to rest. As a result, the negative energy built up, and they cracked, creating the shadow dragons, each one born from a different wish."

Everyone stared in surprise at hearing this.

Franky said, "Hold on. You mean that the dragonballs turned on them because of the radar right."

Isom aid, "With people like Vegapunk in the world, and with people like the navy, certain pirates, and others who would abuse these orbs for selfish gain, far more than those in the DBZ/GT/S universes, it would only be a matter of time."

Wiz said, "He's tough enough to shrug off getting blasted into a plateau and then blew it up without a problem, and even managed to get up after being launched through a few mountains."

Boomstick said, "With all this power, you'd think that Vegeta would be unstoppable, but you'd be wrong."

Wiz said, "First, Vegeta's body is still susceptible to injury, and he has a finite pool of ki, and excessive use in battle can leave his exhausted and vulnerable."

Boomstick said, "But aside from that is his great big ego. Vegeta wants to be the best and will fight the best to do so. However, his pride and overconfidence caused him to let opponents power up to levels much higher than him, which has gotten him killed more than once. But somehow, mainly thanks to the dragonballs, he's still around. Kicking ass and being a dick."

"Sounds like me when I got my ass kicked by Mihawk," Zoro muttered aloud, remembering his life-changing battle with Mihawk and the resulting realization of just how big the world was.

Vegeta floating in the air and staring down at someone yelled, "I am a Super Saiyan."

He charges the Final Burst Cannon as he roared, "AND YOU CAN BURN IN HELL!"

The doors close and reopen.

Wiz started off the next segment saying, "Genetic manipulation. A dangerous game to play. Especially if you are messing with forces you don't understand."

Sanji was once again flashing back to Germa 66.

Boomstick said, "Well, someone should have told that to Gerald Robotnik, when he joined the Project Shadow. Now I know what you're all thinking. It's another super soldier project…well not in this case."

Wiz said, "Despite its name. Project Shadow was meant to discover the secret to immortality and cure all disease…you'd think that they'd go for a less scary sounding name, wouldn't they? Anyway, Gerald's main reason for doing this was to save his granddaughter Maria, who was sick with a rare illness, Neuro-Immunity Deficiency Disorder."

Nami blinked at the title and asked, "Uh, doctor a little help here. I'm good with big words, but we may need a professional's opinion."

Chopper said, Neuro-immunity deficiency is a term that refers to a broad number of disorders that deals with both the immune system and the nervous system, including multiple sclerosis and other diseases."

Franky sniffled as he said, "So that old man is trying to save his granddaughter. What a guy."

Isom flinched. This was not going to go over well.

Boomstick said, "Yeah, the old man had problems with it. Until he came across a group of aliens called the Black Arms, who helped him by giving him the DNA of their leader, Black Doom…Anyone else think this is going to come back and bite them in the ass?"

"Yes," everyone in the room said at the same time."

Wiz said, "Boomstick it's humans looking for immortality and making a secret pact with a man whose name…is DOOM…when has anything like that ever ended well?"

Sanji said, "Yeah, that's about as stupid as trusting a guy whose name is Demise."

Boomstick stared at his cohost and said, "Anyway, for some odd reason, the fusion of human and alien DNA somehow created a talking hedgehog…"

Boomstick looked confuse and looked to Wiz who simply stated, "I don't get it either."

Everyone int eh room was trying to wrack their brains as to how human and alien DNA was capable of making a hedgehog of all things. You could have sworn that smoke started t come out of Luffy's ears from overthinking. Of concourse, he didn't have much of a brain to begin with so not much lost.

The straw hats gasped in shock at seeing Maria being gunned down, even if by accident. Robin once again had flashbacks to her home being destroyed.

Wiz sighed sadly and said, "With his only real friend dead, Shadow was put into stasis. There he laid for fifty years until he was release by Ivo Robotnik, Gerald Robotnik's grandson, with a plan to take over the world.

Boomstick said, "And no matter what kind of plan you have, whether saving the world of taking it over, you certainly would want to have someone as powerful as Shadow on your side."

Wiz said, "According to the world of Sonic, super speed is a natural occurring phenomenon in anthropomorphic hedgehogs."

"Are hedgehogs that fast?" Sanji asked, having never seen one before.

Everyone else shrugged.

Boomstick blinked at this and said, "Man genetics are weird."

Wiz continued, "Shadow is capable of reaching high speed with the help of his rocket boots. With these he is easily capable of matching speeds with Sonic, who can run at hypersonic speeds."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, I think I may need some proof here Wiz…or at least the fans might."

Wiz said, "Sure. In Sonic unleashed, Sonic's speed was measure out at 3519 SPD."

Boomstick was about to say something when Wiz said, "I said SPD, not TD."

Turing back to the camera Wiz continued, "Assuming that this is in metric meters, this puts Sonic's speed at about 7,872 miles an hour. Over ten times the speed of sound."

"Whoa," Sanji said, "That is some serious speed. That guy must go through shoes like Luffy goes through a meal."

"Or you through a hoard of beautiful women," Isom quipped.

Sanji blinked and said, "You aren't wrong."

Boomstick whistled and said, "Yeah, and he's weaponized this speed like crazy. He can use it to create a whirlwind with the Black Tornado, and ram through enemies with the Light Speed and achieve near top speeds with the Spin Dash."

Luffy imagined doing his own Gum Gum Tornado while in his second gear state.

Wiz said, "He can also target opponents with the Homing Attack and Spin Jump when in mid-air."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, but there is more to this speedy, spiky rodent than just speed. It turns out that he is connected to the Chaos Force."

While everyone was interested in Shadow's abilities they immediately moved in when they heard about this.

Wiz explained, "The Chaos Force is a mystical energy that can be harness via two known methods. Through objects, such as the legendary chaos emeralds, or by having a natural connection to it. This proves to be Shadow's main weapon when things start to get crazy.

Boomstick said, "He can also teleport himself, people and objects with Chaos Control, create rifts in reality with Chaos Magic or Chaos Rift, and, my personal favorite, launch blasts of energy like with Chaos Spear and Chaos Ball, or cause huge explosions with Chaos Blast, which is so powerful it murders pretty much anyone in its path."

Brook hummed as he said, "It appears that the chaos force is comparable to Vegeta's ki. At least we know this fight won't be boring."

Robin said, "Shadow also has the ability to heal himself. That will definitely be to his advantage, as I do not believe Vegeta has such a ki ability."

Wiz said, "He can even temporarily enhance his ability with Chaos Boost, which can enhance the power of his various chaos attacks."

Boomstick said, "And if he wants to really boost his powers, he can throw off those pesky inhibitor rings that he keeps on his wrists but doing so can cause him to burn through stamina pretty quickly if he isn't careful."

Wiz said, "Plus, Shadow's connection to the chaos force can be overwritten if he uses too much power or if he takes a lot of damage."

"Given how powerful Vegeta is," Franky said, "He could very well take advantage of that weakness."

Nami said, "Yeah, especially if he manages to go Super Saiyan."

Boomstick said, "Thankfully, he's got one more trick up his sleeve. Remember that the chaos force needs certain object. Well, in the sonic world there are seven chaos emeralds, which can be used to harness the power of the chaos force. He can use these to increase his power, and the more he has the more powerful he becomes. When Shadow gets his hands on all seven of these giant diamonds, he transforms into his final form…Super Shadow."

"Wow…wait did Shadow rip off Vegeta?" Luffy asked, seeing the golden form.

Chopper then realized something and asked, "Hey, Isom, do you think the chaos emeralds would cause as much trouble here as the dragonballs?"

Isom rubbed his chin in thought and said, "Maybe. If someone were to get all of them, they could cause chaos, especially if it were one of the warlords, or if it were someone else with ill intentions. The chaos emeralds don't split up like the dragonballs do after a wish. Plus, they can be used for a lot more…honestly I think both could cause chaos."

Isom then thought, 'Given there were fake chaos emeralds, I shudder to imagine what the navy and the world government would do if they got their hands on artifacts that powerful.'

The childish trio had stars in their eyes as they said, "Cool. That power gives him invincibility."

Sanji added, "Yeah, but that time limit may end up being too short to do any real damage, especially if Vegeta were to keep up the pressure."

Wiz said, "With all these powers Shadow had done some impressive things."

Wiz brought out the board of Wizdom, showing the image of shadow falling, and a distance from the Earth.

The scientist continued, "Judging by the height he fell, he must have been moving at least six million feet per second, and adding his weight, we can estimate that he struck the Earth with nearly 131 tons of force."

Everyone whistled. That seemed like an impressive amount of damage to take, and it didn't seem that he was in his super mode when he did it. They were also impressed with his feats and some of the more battle hungry members were wondering how they would stack up.

Boomstick whistled and said, "Damn. I feel sorry for wherever he landed. Imagine walking down the road and seeing that."

"Yeah, I think I'd be freaking out," Brook declared, "I would be questioning if my mind were thinking right, and if my eyes were working properly, not that I have a brain or eyes, mind you."

Wiz said, "Thankfully for all humanity, Shadow's powers weren't pitted against them for long. He eventually did remember the final words of Maria, which told him to not lose faith in humanity and to become a good guy."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, unfortunately, people are still getting sick on Earth so, it looks like he might have forgotten about the whole, cure all diseases thing."

"WHAT!? SHADOW FORGOT HIS ORIGINAL PURPOSE!?"

Chopper was understandably angry, as it was likely that Shadow had the potential to become the host for antibodies to every disease on earth or could help push medicine ahead centuries just by going to a doctor's office, and he forgot it.

It took Isom waving a stick of cotton candy in front of him to get him to calm down.

Wiz said, "Yeah, but still, with his powers and speed, Shadow truly is a force to be reckoned with."

They show an image of an injured Sonic fall to the ground as heavy metal music plays showing Shadow standing behind him with a gun, staring at the camera before rushing towards the screen, and likely a swarm of enemies.

Boomstick said, "All right, we've got the popcorn, the soda, and we've done all the nerd work."

Wiz rolled his eyes at this and said, "It's time to end this debate once and for all."

Boomstick declared, "Time for a death battle!"

The screen was paused before the battle began. Everyone voting on who they thought would win. Zoro obviously went with Vegeta, while Sanji obviously went against him just to spite the green-haired swordsman.

Luffy and Usopp went with Vegeta because he through he was cooler.

Chopper bet on Vegeta because he was upset at Shadow for forgetting his purpose as a cure all.

Robin went with Vegeta, for obvious reasons.

Franky, Nami, and Brook were both split and remained neutral in this fight.

The doors close and reopen.

The simulation begins with Vegeta flying through the sky with the dragon radar in his hand.

"Where is it?" he mumbled, "Wait, what?"

He looked at the dragon radar and saw that the dragonballs were all clustered together. Vegeta snarled and said, "If that pig is going to waste a wish on the dragonballs for my wife's underwear again, then I'm serving barbecued pork for dinner! Who cares what the woman's mother makes!"

Nami asked, "What?"

Isom explained, "Back during the first dragonball series, an anthropomorphic pig named Oolong stopped an evil king named Pilaf from wishing to control the world…by wishing for a pair of panties, specifically Bulma, a girl who became great friends with Goku, who was considered beautiful and still is."

Nami said, "Wow, and I thought our resident panty lover was bad."

Brook laughed and said, "I know. Does that mean you'll show me yours?"

Nami immediately kicked the perverted skeleton in the head, somehow causing a bump to appear on his head, screaming, "NO!"

With that statement, Vegeta shot off in the direction of the dragonballs. In that direction, Shadow dropped off the seventh dragonball and looked them over.

"What are these things?" he asked, "They don't seem like the chaos emeralds, but they give off a strange power when together.

"Hey!" a voice shouted, Shadow spun and jumped back just in time to avoid getting blasted with a wave of ki, that scattered the dragonballs in different directions.

Vegeta landed and gazed down at the short hedgehog and asked, "What the hell are you supposed to be?"

The anthropomorphic hedgehog rose from the ground and said, "I am Shadow, the ultimate lifeform."

Vegeta laughed and said, "Ultimate lifeform? Yeah, right. I am Vegeta, the prince of all saiyans. Now you are going to hand over those dragonballs or I'm going to fry you, you little rat."

"Shots fired!" Franky yelled.

Shadow said, "Not happening, and you're one to talk about size. Of course, you are a walking talking Napoleon complex."

Isom, sensing the question, declared, "It's a short guy thing."

Vegeta was briefly quiet before declaring, "You have just signed your fate fool."

The two charged at each other, Shadow launched a chaos energy enhanced fist, while Vegeta prepared a ki blast in his hand.

FIGHT!

The two clashed in midair, Vegeta quickly overwhelming the hedgehog and then throwing him across the valley. Shadow quickly recovered and unleashed a Chaos Ball. Vegeta however fired a narrowed ki blast that briefly clashed with the orb before destroying it.

Vegeta then launched himself at the Shadow and began unleashing a heavy barrage of blows. The pair battled in the air, the sound of sonic booms ringing out as they both broke the sound barrier like it was made from glass. Unfortunately for Shadow, Vegeta landed a heavy strike to the chest. Shadow went flying backwards but managed to stop himself.

"Come one, hedgehog, take down moss head's choice!" Sanji yelled.

"Oh, shut up you bloody nosed cook!" Zoro yelled back.

Vegeta then charged in ready, for a final attack, only for Shadow to pull out a Chaos Emerald and declared, "CHAOS CONTROL!"

Time suddenly froze, and Shadow took advantage, forming a huge array of chaos spears and launched them at Vegeta. Time resumed and Vegeta saw the incoming threat, he unleashed a Lucora gun, the blasts clashing and exploding in midair. However, Shadow as not stagnant, as he launched a homing attack at Vegeta, slamming into his stomach with enough force to knock the air from his lungs, then using him as a human shield to block the remaining chaos spears.

"Oh, man that has to hurt," Usopp cringed, as he saw the clever maneuver that Shadow used.

Chopper smiled proudly and said, "Being small can have its advantages."

Unfortunately, Vegeta powered through the pain, grabbed Shadow by his head, and then launched him to the ground below.

"I'll roast you, freak!" he roared as he launched a Shiney Shot.

Shadow then ran as fast as he could, creating the black tornado spreading the flames out and sending them back at Vegeta, who was caught by surprise by the maneuver and launched into the air.

Shadow skidded to a stop, and showed a few burns, showing the attack did damage. He quickly used his powers to heal his wounds.

"Looks like the two seem evenly matched," Robin said, "but I doubt that is going to last or long."

Franky said, "Yeah. I think the super forms are going to be what decides this match."

"Not so tough, now, are you?" Shadow said bluntly bas he began to walk away.

Suddenly, a loud impact rang out as Vegeta, slightly singed, but okay, landed a few feet away, with his arms chambered back and a purple glow on his hands.

"Galick Gun Fire!"

Shadow spun around as the beam approached him. He quickly used Shadow Guard to block, and tanked the blasts, flying backwards. The guard, however, broke, though it managed to reduce a huge chunk of the damage, it knocked Shadow to the ground.

Vegeta laughed and said, "Is that the full effect of your power rodent, you are going to have to do better than that to beat me. And this isn't even me at my most powerful."

Vegeta then let out a yell as he flared with power and transformed into his Super Saiyan state.

"Oh yeah," Zoro said, "We're about to see if you can make something out of fried hedgehog."

He glared down at Shadow who struggled to stand and declared, "Tell me, rodent, do you feel fear?"

Shadow growled as he stood up and panted, "You…have no idea…who you're messing with."

Suddenly, the chaos emeralds appeared around Shadow's body and ran spun around in a circle around him.

"What the hell?!" Zoro yelled, "Where did he hide those!?"

Unable to resist, Isom quipped, "The same place sonic keeps his rings."

"What does that mean?" Usopp asked, curiously, only receiving a shrug in return.

"So pretty," Nami cooed as she eyed the chaos emeralds.

Sanji smirked and said, "It looks like you guy is bout to get blasted moss head."

"What the hell is that?" Vegeta asked aloud, "And where was he hiding those?"

His thoughts were cut off by a blinding flash of light and when it faded, Shadow was now Super Shadow.

"Behold, the true power I possess!" Shadow declared.

Vegeta simply stared before declaring, "Wow…what a rip off."

"Oh, shadow did rip of the super Saiyan form," Chopper said, hearing Vegeta's line."

Vegeta was then suddenly slammed in the stomach and sent flying.

'What…what the hell?!'

"Looks like we're in the final stretch people," Franky declared.

"Such an amazing battle, with such blazing speed," Brook said, "My eyes cannot withstand the sight."

A second impact rang out as he was slammed in the back, briefly giving Vegeta flashbacks to his battle with Perfect Cell. Before he could process it, Shadow was gone and blitzed Vegeta over and over again, leaving behind glowing ball of energy. Shadow then posed in front of the orbs and the prone Vegeta before snapping his fingers. The orbs detonated one by one slinging Vegeta along.

Vegeta recovered in mid-air and charged at Shadow, unleashing a savage barrage of punches and kicks, but the hedgehog just took it like it was nothing before unleashing a chaos lance that blasted Vegeta backwards.

'Damn it, what is with this power,' he thought 'It doesn't feel like ki, but it feels strange and…wait a minute…'

Vegeta's energy sense told him that the power Shadow was using was draining, it was already nearly halfway gone. All he had to do was wear out the clock.

Sanji started to pale as he realized Vegeta now knew of Shadow's weakness. Those who were voting for Vegeta were hoping he could pull this one out and wear down the clock. Those voting for Shadow were hoping he could take down the prince before he could finish the fight.

Vegeta let out a roar, as he fired another barrage of blasts. Shadow simply stopped time and teleported created another explosive portal in front of Vegeta which exploded.

Shadow then teleported in front of Vegeta and said, "Chaos control."

There was a flash of light and Vegeta suddenly found himself holding his breath. Vegeta looked around and saw he was surrounded by various fish.

"I don't see that working very well," Chopper said, "do you think Shadow think he's fighting a super powered human and not an alien?"

Usopp nodded and said, "Either way, I think Vegeta may have had enough."

Vegeta growled and thought, 'That is it. I am tired of these cheap tricks. If you want power, you dumb rat, I'll show you power!"

Vegeta then held his arms out to the side and focused his power as two large orbs forms in each hand. He reached out with his sensing abilities and found Shadow was above him, and his power was draining quickly.

Shadow floated above the water and saying, "Not as powerful as your thought you were. So much for…what the heck?"

His monologue was cut off when he saw the water begin to rise in a dome-like shape and then burst revealing Vegeta bringing his arms together, lighting flying off his body, vaporizing any water it touched.

"What…with that kind of power, he could destroy the planet!? Is he insane?!"

Shadow threw off his inhibitor rings and began to focus his power into another attack, the quills on his body turning dark red.

"FINAL FLASH!"

"CHAOS BLAST!"

Vegeta fired a massive yellow beam of destruction while Shadow unleashed a large red dome of destruction, The two techniques collied, the unrestrained chaos force, met with the planet busting beam of ki with a thunderous clash, that sent waves across the water.

"So cool!" the childish trio said in awe.

Meanwhile, Zoro was smirking as he believed his victory was assured.

The two blasts struggled for a moment, but then Shadow's super mode gave out. The Chaos Blast didn't stand a chance against the beam, as it was ripped apart and struck Shadow dead center. The edge lord hedgehog screamed in pain as he was reduced to atoms in a second. Meanwhile, the yellow beam of light flew through the space.

KO!

"Damn it!" Sanji yelled angrily while Zoro smirked. Those who voted for Shadow groaned, while those who voted for Vegeta cheered, and the neutral party clapped happily.

When it faded, Vegeta floated in the center of an unnatural crater in the water and smirked as he said, "The ultimate lifeform. Don't make me laugh."

The doors close and reopen. The screen showed Vegeta munching on some food while Bulma was examining the chaos emeralds. The second showed Tails arriving at the Brief home along with Sonic, both looking serious.

"Uh oh," Chopper said, "That doesn't look good."

Boomstick declared, "Damn, that is one hell of a fight. And are we going to get any calls from PETA because we are official down a hedgehog."

Wiz said, "Unfortunately for Shadow this battle was pretty clear cut. Both Vegeta and Shadow could move at and react to hypersonic speeds, and Shadow's chaos powers were more versatile than Vegeta's ki, with the time and space warping abilities, but Vegeta edged out in every other category."

Brook asked, "Was that an edge lord joke, because it sounded like one."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, while Vegeta has gotten his butt kicked, it was mainly by aliens and monsters a hell of a lot stronger than him, like Frieza, the Ginyu Force, Perfect Cell, and Kid Buu. All of which were way stronger than most of the characters in the sonic universe. Given Vegeta could go toe to toe with people who could blow up planets with ease, he's likely going to be able to take what Shadow can dish out, even as Super Shadow."

Wiz said, "Even Super Shadow didn't last long against Vegeta's onslaught, as his ability to sense energy would allow him to realize Shadow's time limit, and he would be able to plan accordingly. Even then, Shadow's destructive output had nothing against Vegeta."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, I mean while blowing up a fleet when you can blow up the planet that they're on? Besides, Shadow didn't have much to defend with either. Remember the falling from space feat?"

Wiz said, "Remember, Shadow's fall from upper orbit, wouldn't have enough to rival the force to destroy a planet of Earth's size which requires of 53 quadrillion megatons of TNT."

Franky said, "Hey, I just realized something…how big are these number exactly. They've used megatons before how much is that?"

Isom said, "Well, it is quiet a big number. A megaton is equal to one million tons. And quadrillion is raised to the power of fifteen."

Robin, Nami, Chopper, and Sanji, and any other member who knew about math were beginning to realize just how big these numbers were and were now realizing just how powerful Vegeta was compared to their own Zoro.

Boomstick said, "While they were matched in speed, Vegeta's ridiculous durability and destructive power, was more than enough to put the ultimate lifeform on the extinct list."

Wiz said, "The winner is Vegeta."

Sanji grumbled to himself at the loss.

The doors close and reopen.

"Next time on Death Battle…"

A woman with fair skin, brown hair done up with two white buns, and a blue dress with, shockingly thick thighs is walking through a field of Sakura trees. She seems to be enjoying herself until she sees someone across the path.

The woman had brown hair done up in a ponytail with a revealing red and white outfit, and a rather large bust. The two women look at each other with intense expressions before they both drop into stances.

Sanji's eyes turned into hearts as his face turned red and blood poured out of his nose. Brook was in the same boat as his orbital sockets somehow gained a heart shape and blood somehow started pouring from his empty nasal cavity.

Usopp and Franky both had similar reactions but toned down, both immediately caught by the two beautiful women.

Chopper both facepalmed and Robin chuckled at the scene while Nami was getting ready to punch the duo.

Isom just rolled his eyes while Luffy just waited for the next fight.

The screen goes black before Boomstick declared, "Oh, I am going to enjoy this!"

"PLAYITPLAYITPLAYITPLAYIT," the perverted duo of the pirate crew as the others motioned for him to do it just to shut them both up.

Isom sighed and did that just that.

CUT! Okay, great to be back everyone. Sorry, it's been so long. However, I do have an announcement. For the future of this fic, and possibly my sanity, I won't be doing anymore alternate endings. Given how research changes with each repeated death battle, and feats are expanded on, the results can change, as shown by the most recent Cloud vs Link rematch, and the rematch between Mario and Sonic. Honestly, I wonder if the result for this battle would change if there was a rematch.

However, that doesn't mean alternate endings won't be a thing. Though, they will mainly be joke endings, like the alternate ending with Bison vs Shao Kahn.

However, I will tell you now that I am discontinuing the original death battle thing. Too many of my ideas become canon...and honestly, I think I should just leave this to the professionals.
