Theme-Halloween 2020
Time Period: A Flashback Halloween 10-31-2019
Situation: A Haunted House and A Fake Psychiatric Breakdown
Action: Sarah and Derek have returned home with the kids from running errands all day long. The house is dark and gloomy. They are attacked,
perhaps ransacked by three people in masks. Sarah and Derek minus the kids are held hostage in the basement.
Place: The Basement
Cameron (removing Derek's blindfold): Wake Up
Derek (trying to move his arms and hands that are tied to a chair): You have me tied up. I swear to God I will kill you.
Cameron: You can't kill me
Derek: But I can try
John: You are weak against her
Derek: John, what the hell?
John: Derek
Derek: It is Uncle Derek to you, boy
John: I am not a boy. I am a grown man.
Derek (to Kyle): Your son disrespected me
Kyle: So what?
Derek: You are unbelievable
Kyle (pointing a knife to Derek's hand): I'll cut off your fingers
Derek: Are you intoxicated or on drugs? Is this a bad dream or a Halloween prank?
Kyle: Would you prefer for me to set you on fire?
Derek: You are crazy, foolish, and dumb
Kyle (walking toward Sarah): I guess I will hurt you then
Sarah (wearing a blindfold): I can hear you, but I can't see you
Kyle (removing Sarah's blindfold): You have pretty eyes, my love
Sarah: Are you playing a prank on Derek and me?
Kyle (pointing a knife to Sarah's throat): Maybe
(The sound of nearby police cars makes Kyle, Cameron, and John to snap out of character. The kids come out hiding. The flashback ends and Derek wakes up.)
Date: 10-31-2020
Scene: Derek's room
Action: Derek wakes up and finds a fake bloody finger on his bed
Derek (screaming and almost having a heart attack): AHA..AHA..AHA
Kyle (removing the finger): I am sorry, Derek
Derek (yelling): I don't forgive you. I almost had a heart attack.
Kyle: I am preparing you for tonight
Derek: What is happening tonight?
Kyle: Judgement Day
Derek: We already stopped Judgement Day
Kyle: There is another Judgement Day yet to come
Derek: What do you mean?
Kyle (touching Derek's cheek): It is a such shame that I will hurt your pretty face. I recommend for you to get your affairs in order.
(Kyle leaves the room before Derek can tackle (wrestle) him and interrogate him)
Place: Downstairs- Breakfast Time
Derek (looking around for Kyle): Where is my brother?
John (eating breakfast): Dad is probably preparing for tonight
Derek: You, Cameron, and your dad tried to kill your mom and me last year. I hope he is not planning to do the same thing this year.
John: I have no comment
Derek (yelling at John): JOHN...
John (leaving the table): I hope that evil woman with the knife doesn't get to you first
Cameron (following John): I am coming, John
John: Judgement Day is surely near
Derek (to Sarah): I remember there was an evil woman with a knife in the movie Psycho. I don't understand the connection between her and today's events.
Sarah: We should wait and see
Chance (frightened, he grabs ahold of Sarah ): Mommy, I am afraid
Kitty (embracing Sarah): Me too
Sarah: Don't worry, my precious little angels. I will protect you.
Time Period: Later on that evening
Action: While Sarah and the kids are out getting candy (via a candy drive by), Derek is home alone. The lights in the house start to flicker as he takes a shower in the bathtub.
Derek (startled by the flickering lights): What the hell?
(Similar to the movie Psycho, a woman (Cameron) wearing glasses pulls back the shower curtains. She tries to stab Derek several times. Derek
is able to dodge her attacks and knock her unconscious. He is halfway to freedom when two masked thieves (Kyle and John) capture him and take him to the basement. Sarah and the kids (on a sugar high) stumble upon the hostage situation. Kyle, John, and Cameron (fully awake and alert) take mercy on them. Eventually Derek discovers everything is a prank.)
