Chapter 18: Battle for Supremacy! The Strongest Woman!

"Load. Load. Load. Load." Brook and Sanji both chanted as they watched the video load.

Everyone simply rolled their eyes as they saw the two acting like idiots for the pretty women they were going to see.

Wiz said, "On death battle, we examine fighters of all shapes and sizes."

Boomstick declared, "And you can bet that we've been enjoying the shapes and sizes of these two beauties."

Wiz glared at Boomstick, before the gun lover defended, "Oh, come on, I saw you eyeing those thighs."

"It looks like Wizard has a perverted side too," Robin observed.

Nami said, "Well at least he's polite about it unlike a few other people."

Sanji and Brook were leaning in both of them, defying the laws of anatomy for Brook, drooling at the sight of the two women.

Wiz rolled his eyes and said, "Chun Li, the first female street fighter, and the strongest woman in the world."

Boomstick declared, "And Mai Shiranui the Queen of Fighters."

Usopp said, "It looks like we got another catfight on our hands."

"Yeah!" Brook and Sanji both yelled at the same time earning a series of eye rolls from the group.

Wiz declared, "He's Boomstick, I'm Wiz, and this is Death Battle."

The doors closed reopened.

Wiz said, "Chun Li lived a relatively normal life. Not much bad ever happened in her city in China."

Boomstick said, "However, her life was changed forever when she went with her pops to see a Bruce Lee movie, and like many children that age was drawn in by the master."

Wiz said, "She was also inspired by seeing a Chinese Peking opera, but…"

Boomstick cut him off saying, "Wiz come on, you do not get to be like Chun Li by watching an opera."

"I take it Bruce Lee is someone who is important?" Robin asked, glancing at their interdimensional guest.

Isom nodded and said, "He's been in a lot of fighting and kung fu movies. He's also regarded as one of the best fighters in the world. At least by my world's standards. Compared to Sanji, he probably wouldn't hold a candle…although…"

Isom seemed to think about something before going quiet.

Boomstick said, "However, she would eventually learn the truth. That the evil organization Shadaloo, led by the monstrous M. Bison had killed her father. So, she did what any other person with a dead parent does. SEEK REVENGE!"

Robin said, "Okay, does everyone have some kind of tragic backstory. Missing parents or destroyed homes. It is getting kind of depressing."

Isom said, "It is a common trope. If you become a hero or a villain, there is always some kind of trauma."

Wiz said, "Though, this would not be easy. Shadaloo spanned the globe, and its members were some of the toughest around. Including master assassins, spies, and murders."

Boomstick said, "Thankfully, she's got the right tools necessary for kicking all kinds of criminal ass. In this case, those powerful legs."

Boomstick said, "This style uses speed over strength, preferring to pressure whoever she's fighting with fast barrages of kicks or powerful strikes. And if those thighs are any indication, they are pretty damn powerful. That oar she abused the thigh master like it owed her money. Either way, she can kick a person through solid brick, but don't think she's got weak arms, she's strong enough to pick up and throw a couch, which means she can lift and throw a hundred pounds at least. Not bad for a woman who focuses on literally kicking ass."

Sanji stopped being a simp for a couple of second as he said, "Huh, while not as strong as me, her fighting style does seriously resemble mine."

He began looking for any ways to improve his own style, but immediately started going back into love mode when he watched the woman's thighs go to work.

Boomstick looked at Wiz with some disgust and said, "What?"

Usopp said, "That does sound little weird."

Franky said, "Super weird."

Wiz, realizing how that sounded, declared, "This likely means that he specialized in kicks himself."

Boomstick declared, "Oh so her dad was a bootleg Sanji. I don't know whether to feel proud that she had such a potentially bad ass pops, or that she might have a relation to this."

Show Sanji in his mellorine mode.

Everyone was silent as they saw Sanji directly referenced in the video before they immediately began laughing at him being called out. the man in question just huffed and grumbled under his breath about drunkards being worse than the moss head."

The two chuckled before getting back to work.

Wiz said, "Aside from simple kicks, Chun Li has mixed in some of her police training for throws to knock her opponents of balance."

Boomstick said, "But when she needs to kick a hole in the hurt locker, she busts out some of her more powerful moves."

Boomstick said, "She can even give gravity the finger with the Spinning bird kick which is a helicopter ride I would love to go on."

Immediately, Sanji came out of his funk and blood leaked out of his nose, with Brook having a similar reaction.

"Oh my, they are blue," the musical skeleton said in a hypnotized voice.

He was then bashed over the head by Nami, who then did the same to Sanji.

Wiz said, "But just because of that don't think that you're safe at long range. Chun Li can focus her ki into the projectile attack, the Kikoken. She can even upgrade it to the Kikosho, which is powerful enough to stop a speeding car."

Boomstick said, "Speaking of ki, she can also focus her ki into her various attacks to amplify the damage. And thanks to her crazy agility, she can combine her various kicks in different ways, all with the goal of taking down Bison."

Sanji blinked at this. He was already pretty agile, but maybe he could work on that. Maybe figure out how to perform different kicks in midair, or spin around into different moves. That could be useful in a fight, especially against multiple opponents.

She even free fell out of a helicopter that looks like it was really high in the air and landed without a scratch."

Franky whistled and said, "Dang…that is some drop. Reminds me of when Brook came flying out of the sky back on Thriller Bark."

The skeleton simply laughed at the memory as robin nodded.

Wiz said, "She's even managed to tear down giant steel doors with her friend Karin."

The board of Wizdom appeared with the image of a blonde woman standing in front a large metal door.

Wiz explained, "Taking in Karin heights, and examining the damage, and how far the door flew, we estimate that this feat took at least 2.13 megajoules of energy to do."

"Wow!" Luffy declared, "is that lot?"

Franky rubbed his chin and said, "Actually Luffy, this is not a whole lot. That touch force isn't even a ton. All in all, compared to what I've seen these girls don't really seem to have as much power as some of the other fights we've seen. They could probably give Batman a good run for his money, but he's not going to give the likes of Kratos a challenge."

Everyone blinked at this.

"Oh," Luffy said, suddenly feeling a little let down.

Robin said, "So this battle is going to be less of strength and speed and more of skill. Who has the superior fighting style, like how Spiderman beat Batman?"

Usopp said, "Huh. I can understand that. My fights have been won through trickery more than skill at times. The question is who can best counter who."

Boomstick declared, "Damn. It's too bad that she didn't really get the chance to defeat Bison. She may be tough, but she kind of sucks at reaching her goals, and usually has to be saved by Guile."

Wiz said, "Despite this, after Bison did meet his end, Chun Li became a martial arts teacher and spread her knowledge to the next generation."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, but when Shadaloo continued to rear its ugly head, you can bet that Chun Li was at the head, ready to deliver good old-fashioned boot-full of whoop ass."

Chun Li was shown entering into a stance and getting ready for a fight asking, "Are you ready for this?

Robin said, "So we have a woman who is more straightforward. Fitting for someone declared the strongest woman in the world. Let's see how she compares to the Queen of Fighters."

While most of them heard her, a certain cook and skeleton were eyeballing the next fighter hearts in their eyes/eye sockets.

The doors close and reopen showing Mai preparing for battle.

Wiz began, "Mai Shiranui is known for many things. Most notably her skill in combat and…well…"

Boomstick promptly butted in with no tact and said, "Holy crap look at the size those things."

The screen zoomed in on Mai's chest, as Boomstick drool and Wiz blushed slightly before averting his gaze.

Chopper said, "Oh, so Wiz is a pervert."

Nami rolled her eyes as he gazed at Brook and Sanji who had nosebleeds and muttered, "At least he's classier than these two."

A few people rolled their eyes as a hand grew out of Sanji's back and slapped him across the head.

Wiz said, "I'm not even going near that. Anyway, Things were pretty boring for her until the young fighter, Andy Bogard arrived. Originally dismissing him as, she thought he was boring. However, one special birthday gift later, Mai declared Andy her boyfriend and soon began pursuing him with romantic intent."

Suddenly Sanji fell to his knees crying about how another lovely lady has been swept up by some pretty boy fighter.

Brook howled at how such a woman no longer being available broke his heart, even though he didn't have one being a skeleton.

Isom suddenly said, "Actually, she only declared Andy to be her boyfriend. He actually viewed her more as a sister."

Suddenly Brook and Sanji were back up and happy again, not seeing Isom smirking.

"He would eventually, however, fall for her, though he didn't know how to tell her."

And back down they went. A few of the straw hat crew gave him looks at how he did that to them. Isom simply shrugged and turned back towards the screen.

The sound of a record skipping was heard as Boomstick declared, "Wait…that's it? All he had to get her to follow him was get her some fancy trinket!? Are you kidding!? My ex-wife had me jumping through hoops just to get my first date with her."

A few couldn't help but chuckle at Boomstick's jealousy towards Andy's apparent good luck with the ladies. Even Sanji and Brook felt better hearing that.

Wiz said, "Yeah…well, Mai would go on to follow Andy into several tournaments and became pretty well known for her fighting style. The Shiranui Ryu."

Wiz said, "She's also mastered ninjutsu, and likely all of its forms. Though she does have her favorites, especially Shurikenjutsu, the use of projectile weaponry, as seen with her weapon of choice, but more on that later. She also uses her body as a weapon, as seen by her outfit."

Boomstick interrupted, "Or lack thereof."

A few of the members rolled their eyes at Boomstick's perverseness, but simply moved on. It wasn't their first time dealing with a woman in a skimpy outfit, so there wasn't much that surprised them here.

Wiz cleared his throat in annoyance before declaring, "using this lose and revealing outfit, Mai practices a technique called kunoichi, using her body…"

A hologram of Mai in her standby stance, swaying back and forth. Boomstick openly stares while Wiz is somewhat distracted by the sight.

"…to distract male…opponents."

Wiz shook his head to clear his senses and then pressed a button getting rid of the hologram.

Boomstick wiped the drool from his mouth before saying, "Did you say something, Wiz? I was distracted."

A few chuckles rang out. Usopp, Franky, both blushed the latter smiling stupidly. Chopper just looked on innocently, while Luffy simply looked like he didn't care. Zoro had a slight blush, but he pushed it down quickly.

"Hey, Robin," Nami asked, "You think we might look up this kunoichi thing? It could be useful."

Robin rubbed her chin, imagining Nami using an illusion with her weapon to create a scantily clad herself, or herself creating a clone in a rather revealing outfit.

Isom promptly declared, "No."

The girls look at him as he said, "Two reasons. One: Not all guys are immediately distracted by scantily clad women or are desensitized to it by being around scantily clad women. Honestly, this is better used on perverted idiots and honestly, even then, they can push it aside long enough to fight. That or they are as single-minded as Luffy."

This led to Nami and the others. While it may be a good distraction idea, it would not work on everyone.

Robin then asked, "What's the second reason."

Isom pointed and everyone saw Brook and Sanji both drooling with nosebleeds as they apparently imagined both Nami and Robin in Mai costumes.

"Those two would not survive."

Clearing his throat with a small look of embarrassment, Wiz said, "Case in point."

Offscreen, Jessica the intern yelled, "You were starting to, you closet pervert!"

Another round of chuckles.

Wiz blushed before saying, "She can use her Dead Bees and Flying Squirrel Furiante to control the field of battle. And can use fake outs to trick her opponents."

Boomstick said, "And if she needs some extra striking power, she reaches into the infinite space between her boobs to bring out, her weapon of choice: Fans."

Franky winced and said, "Wow that sounds a little dangerous. Takes away from the hotness points."

Usopp joked, "Hey Sanji, still interested?"

Sanji smirked and said, "I couldn't be a chef if I was afraid of a little fire."

Brook declared, "And my powers mean that I will not feel the heat, except for what she makes me feel it in my heart, though I don't have one."

Boomstick continued, "She can create fire and explosions. She can even manipulate any fire she creates by sending it through her clothing and her fans for extra damage."

Boomstick then looked at Wiz said, "Hey, Wiz, quick question. How does she do this? I want to know because I want to add fire to all of my weapons to add extra damage to whatever the hell has going through my garbage the past couple of days. Try and steal my uneaten pizza NOW you damn raccoons!"

"That seems a little over the top, doesn't it?" chopper asked, seeing no problem with the raccoons.

Suddenly, Sanji said, "Hey, maybe we can get something like that on our fridge. It would keep a certain bottomless pit from eating all of our food."

Everyone turned towards Luffy who was picking his nose while munching on some popcorn.

Wiz said, "Well…actually, it isn't really explained. One idea is that it is a special technique of the Shiranui-ryu. One of the disciplines is kayakujutsu, or pyrotechnics so that is a possibility. Another is that this could simply be a special ki technique that Mai has honed and mastered over the years. Andy has been shown to use fire as well, so potentially, it could be both."

Boomstick sighed in frustration and said, "Damn it."

Boomstick said, "Oh, while I remember, Mai's good at attacking with strong strikes can leave her open for counters if she misses. But despite that weakness she's proven to be one badass lady."

"She can be countered pretty easily? That sounds like it might be a problem," Franky said.

"If she can get over that issue in the fight, she won't have a lot of problems," Zoro admitted.

Wiz said, "Anyway, despite her master of ninjutsu and crazy abilities, she has never won any tournaments, and usually doesn't have a big impact on the story, usually having to get rescued by Andy."

Boomstick said, "Yeah, despite leading a bunch of all-women teams, and doing relatively well, she hasn't really done much in terms of her goals."

Wiz said, "But something tells me that despite this happening a lot, even when she joined his team at one point, he doesn't mind all that much."

Boomstick said, "With a woman like that, neither would I."

Mai, facing her opponent declared, "Mai Shiranui, of the Shiranui school must teach you a lesson."

"So, what does everyone think?" Isom asked.

Robin said, "I am seeing a bit of a parallel between Batman and Spiderman's battle. A style based on strength vs a style based on agility. Chun Li seems to be a direct fighter, which while useful may not fare well against Mai's ninjutsu."

After discussing things, Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp all went with the ninja lady because…well she was a ninja and by that logic, she was cooler.

Franky and Zoro both went with Chun Li because they preferred the woman's more direct style of fighting.

Nami and Robin both remained neutral.

Finally, Sanji and Brook both remaining neutral because both ladies were equally hot, though Brook was secretly rooting for Chun Li.

The doors closed and reopened.

Wiz said, "The combatants are set, and the fight is ready."

Boomstick said, "And I've set record in case anything awesome happens. It's time for a death battle!"

The doors close and reopen.

The setting is a deep forest and Chun Li is walking through the forest.

"Who are you?"

Chun Li looks up to see Mai up in the tree branches.

Chun Li looked up at the scantily clad woman and said, "My name is Chun Li. I'm looking for Andy Bogard. I heard he lives around here."

A fire lit up in Mai's eyes as she pulled a fan out and threw it at the ground in front of Chun Li. As it hit, an explosion could be heard from nearby, indicating another battle.

Franky said, "Dang. That must be Guile and Andy. I wonder what Interpol is doing breaking into the place?"

Robin said, "A misunderstanding maybe? It might not be Guile. Maybe she is hunting remnants of Shadaloo."

"You must be with those men who broke into our home," Mai declared as she leapt down and took a stance.

"You will not get to Andy! So says Mai Shiranui."

Chun Li got into a stance and said, "Fine then. If you want to get in my way. I'll have to take you down."

The two warrior women locked eyes and then charged at one another.

"Let the cat fight begin!" yelled a certain perverted skeleton.

FIGHT!

Chun Li starts off with a Kikoken, aiming to end the fight quickly, but Mai easily rolls under it and starts delivering a fast barrage of low strikes and the Folding Fan Fandango, before flipping over her and aiming a dropkick at her back. With Chun Li temporarily down, the kunoichi ran forward, wanting to finish her off quickly.

However, Chun Li recovers and springs to her feet, kicking Mai in the face. She then flips over Mai's attempted Ryu En Bu Attack and throws her back.

"Nice try," Chun Li taunted Just as Mai gets back up.

"They seem to be evenly matched thus far," Robin observed.

"Come one ninja girl!" the childish trio yelled out.

The world's strongest woman charges hitting Mai with an Axe Kick, followed by several hard blows, and finally unleashing her Lightning Leg Attack.

'Not good,' Mai thought, dodging the barrage, 'close range is he specialty. I better keep my distance.'

Franky said, "A good observation, but that only puts her at range of those ki attacks of hers."

Chopper said, "She's a ninja. She's got this."

Mai flipped away and attacked with three of her butterfly fans. The third lit up with literal fire power. Chun Li blocked the first two fans but was struck by the fire enhanced one. Maid refused to give Chun Li a chance to recover and nailed with a fiery strike from above. Mai then followed up with another strike which sent Chun Li skidding backwards.

"Take this!" Mai yelled as she charged in with the intent to use the Flying Squirrel Furiante.

Unfortunately, Chun Li realizes what Mai is up to, and realized she was a bit of a hit and runner. She used her defensive tai chi to throw Mai off balance and threw out a strike to both of her ears to throw her off balance. Then she focused her ki and unleashed an enhanced version of the Lightning Legs.

"Dang," Nami said, "That's twice she's been countered like that."

Luffy yelled, "Come on ninja girl! Use your crazy ninja powers!"

Mai cried out in pain as she was struck by the furious barrage of ki-enhanced kicks before she was sent rolling backwards.

Mai looked up at the trees and got an idea. Time for a little ninja trickery.

When Chun Li charged in, Mai flipped over her and then knocked her to the ground with a sweep kick.

"Try and follow me," Mai declared as she jumped up into the trees.

Usopp snapped his fingers and said, "Oh, a very ninja-like move. She's taking a fight into where she has the advantage. Chun Li may be agile, but she doesn't have the kind of agility necessary to leap around from tree to tree like she can."

Robin said, "Yes. This may be the very tactic that wins her this battle."

Chun Li flipped back up and used her own agility to follow after the kunoichi. The two women clash in mid-air, but on the third strike, Mai unleashed another pyrokinetic attack, knocking Chun Li down.

"Time to finish you!" Mai yelled leaping at her opponent, only for Chun Li to flip up and perform the spinning bird kick.

Mai was caught off guard by the attack and was sent backwards, landing on a tree branch.

"How did she even do that!?" Mai asked, aloud confused at how Chun Li broke the laws of physic just now.

Chun Li landed near her dazed opponent and began to power up a Kikoshen, intent on finisher her off.

"Taste this," Chun Li shouted as she unleashed her close-range attack, focusing all her ki.

Zoro grinned as he saw his choice about to win, while the other members of the crew, including the childish trio called out for the ninja girl.

However, Mai had recovered and launched herself away just as the blast hit the branch destroying it. Having spent all her ki, Chun Li was panting and left wide open.

Mai didn't hesitate.

Mai grabbed Chun Li's head with her leg, slamming her through the remains of the tree branch and then kicked her into another tree. The stunned officer fell to the ground barely conscious, and Mai followed, powering up her flames and slammed into Chun Li with a rolling fire attack just as she hit the forest floor.

Mai controlled the flames and sent them into a raging inferno. Chun Li's scream of pain was swallowed up by the flames.

When the fire faded, it left only some scorched earth, burned grass, and a charred skeleton in its wake.

Cheers for victory and jeers at the loss rang out from the group.

"Ninja girl for the win!" the childish trio declared happily, "Nin nin!"

K.O.!

Mai stood victoriously over her opponent and said, "That's how it's done. Now I have to go find Andy."

The doors close and reopen, revealing Andy fighting with Guile, and Mai soon joining the fight beside her beloved. However, they were both cut off when Balrog smashed through the walls and grinned viciously, joined by the dolls.

"Whoa!" Frank yelled, "Who is that? And those ladies?"

Isom answered, "Balrog and the Dolls. You'll find out about them at a later date."

Boomstick declared, "In the battle of legs vs boobs, boobs win!"

Cue unamused look from Nami and Robin, and hoots and hollers from Sanji and Brook.

Wiz said, "This was a pretty tough match to call. Both fighters were incredible women, despite coming up just short of reaching their personal goals."

Boomstick said, "In terms of strength and speed Chun Li took the advantage, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean nothing if you can't hit your opponent."

Wiz said, "Both opponents were agile, but Mai took the advantage as her ninjutsu based style trained her to not only use it to its fullest while also taking advantage of the environment. She also carried the advantage in terms of energy attacks and long range with her steel fans and pyrokinetic attacks and abilities."

"Reminds me of our first run in with CP9," Usopp said, "It was hard to land a hit on them with their speed ability."

Franky, remembering how much trouble he had with the speed, but round Fukurou said, "Yeah."

Boomstick said, "Chun Li may be a beast up close, but those fire abilities and that boob dimension full of fans kept Chun Li at a distance. Plus, her straightforward method of battle, allowed Mai to play her into her hands for a fiery finish."

Wiz said, "In this battle of nimbleness versus strength, nimbleness won and the strongest woman in the world has lost her throne."

Boomstick chuckled as he said, "But Chun Li has never looked hotter."

This earned a few chuckles, but they didn't last for very long.

Wiz rolled his eyes in annoyance before declaring, "The winner is Mai Shiranui."
