The week Butch moved in was a spectacular week for Sage. They'd gone to the sandy shores of Cascade Cove to fish every morning, selling some small common fish to Timmy and Tommy and donating the rest to Blathers. Blathers had not much to go until he could finally open the museum. Not to mention..well..Kody almost fell off a cliff.

He was talking a walk, strolling around the edge off Cascade Cliff (doing exercise routines, obviously) and a bird swooped above him. He was peering over the cliff at the time, admiring the shimmering water below, then the bird hit his head. Luckily, Audie noticed and contacted Tom Nook and Sage before Kody let go of the cliff face.

Audie and Drake were the new villagers. Drake was a lazy duck and preferred lying in the hot sun beneath the coconut trees. Sage loved the fact he called everyone "Quacko". Audie was a cheerful, gracious wolf and always in the mood for talking. She always ran over to Sage to chat with him and they'd exchange compliments before Audie would ask if Sage wanted to go butterfly hunting with her.

One morning, while Sage was getting ready to walk up to the Able Sisters (2 hedgehogs that run a clothing store) to finally buy a new pair of clothes. He saw a plane land on the Dodo Airlines platform. It reminded himself of the first day he set foot here. Those were the times. Sage waddled out to greet Tom Nook and ask about the plane and who it was carrying.

"Two potential residents! They're names are Apollo (who is an eagle) and Raymond (a cat). Please put on your best impression and keep it cool like you did with Butch because I believe they both have "cranky" and "snobby" personalities." Tom Nook explained. Sage nodded and buttoned up his grey polo shirt to the top button. He also straightened his navy cap so it faced directly in front of him. Apollo got off the plane first and trotted over to sage and Tom.

"H'lo! What an honour it is to be here today! I couldn't wait to get over here!" he seems respectful and nice thought Sage. Apollo gleamed at them both and stood next to Tom Nook. Raymond hopped off last, fixing up his designer soot and strolling over to the others like he was on a cat-walk (see what I did there? xD). "That plane ride was...insanity. This place better be worth it because I do not want to go back on there." He kept his smug face up in the air. Sage glared at him. How dare he? Wilbur did all he could to make the plane rides exceptional. And this cat was just going to throw Wilbur under the bus like that? Sage felt his teeth grit.

"What's up with him?" Raymond pointed to Sage who was now quite fuming. "Keep your head up. This isn't a dwarf's island." Raymond said, shuffling over to Tom Nook. "So? You gonna take me somewhere, raccoon?" Tom Nook gulped. Sage was furious. This was his island. Raymond had no right to barge in here and act like he owned the place. "Right this way." Tom Nook said sweating. Sage tried to stay optimistic. At least he had Apollo. Apollo seemed nice enough. Sage would just try to impress Apollo enough to get him to move to the island.

First, they took the group to Apollo's plot of land which he could buy if he felt like it. Apollo pointed out how large it was and how he got a perfect view of the summit from his plot. Sage was quite jealous he hadn't planted his house there so he could have the display of the summit whenever he wanted. They went over to Raymond's plot next. "This is it? I'd have thought there'd be more. Nevertheless I guess it's...cozy." Sage squinted his eyes angrily. He didn't want to speak up, for some reason unless Raymond snapped the last straw.

They crossed the bridge (that Sage had invested quite an immense amount of bells in) to get to the natural side of Cascade Cove. This side would most likely stay empty (apart from a campsite and a garden) so villagers, visitors and anyone could take in the beautiful effect of the past Cascade Cove. While crossing, Raymond let out a disturbing comment to Sage.

"This bridge color is kind of...tacky." Sage clenched his fists tighter then Butch chowing down on a slab of beef. Tom Nook was sweating more than ever and Apollo was rolling his eyes at Raymond's remarks. They started to walk through the orange tree walkway (which Sage had set up in the time he had set free). Apollo was in awe but Raymond showed no sign of admiration whatsoever. When they finally reached the cascades, Apollo was stunned.

"So this is why they call it Cascade Cove, aye?" Sage nodded enthusiastically. Tom Nook stopped looking so nervous until Raymond said something he'd eternally regret.

"They aren't that amazing. They're just waterfalls." Sage closed his eyes, gripped his fists and glared right in Raymond's eyes. his eyes were glowing a deep red and he muttered in a low, blood-curdling voice. "These waterfalls are the reason everyone else moves here. So what's your reason? To antagonize all of my villagers? Or is it because Mommy and Daddy couldn't take your atrocious attitude any longer and kicked you out of the house?" Raymond looked shocked. Tom Nook looked anxious. But Apollo couldn't keep it in. He burst out laughing, rolling around on the grass hysterically. Sage thought he'd done pretty well and snickered to himself. Tom Nook was finding it hard and he was snorting as loud as Sage.

And at that very moment, Apollo put in an offer. Sage and Tom accepted it and Apollo shook hands with them both. Raymond was still standing there, dumb-founded until he smirked. "What's so funny? Did I outthink you?" Sage said curious to see why Raymond was laughing.

"No it's just...I've never met someone with such profound determination. I'd like to make an offer. I can't wait to move in and "learn the ropes"" Sage looked skeptical. Nevertheless, he asked for the offer number. When Raymond said it, Sage and Tom looked shocked. "Wow, I guess Mommy and Daddy gave you a lot of money before they kicked you out, huh." Sage said playfully. Raymond chuckled. "See ya around, crisp."

And so Sage had two new villagers.

One in which was going to annoy him the most.

One which they would sure have an intense rivalry
