Action: While preparing for bed, Kyle catches Sarah looking through old pregnancy and baby photos
Kyle (amused): Why are you looking through old pregnancy and baby photos
Sarah: I am in reflective mood. It is almost midnight. Kitty will turn eleven on December 20th.
Kyle: I am planning to do a surprise zoom birthday celebration instead of a driveby for Kitty tomorrow. I have already sent out text messages to people such as James and Kacey.
Sarah: I thank you for informing me about the surprise zoom birthday celebration. I will keep your secret. You can trust me.
Kyle (passionately kisses Sarah): I love you
Sarah (smiling): I love you too
Kyle: You're not the only one to be in a reflective mood around this time of season. I also think about life especially on December 19th. It feels as if I am closing a chapter in preparation to embrace a new one.
Sarah: I remember I experienced Braxton Hicks with Kitty on December 19, 2009. Kitty was long overdue at that point. We were so excited and anxious to meet her.
(And then the flashback begins)
Time Period: A Flashback to 12/19/2009
Situation: The night before Kitty's birth
Sarah (experiencing Braxton Hicks, she rests in the bed with Kyle): I must deliver the package. It is long overdue.
Kyle (confused): What package?
Sarah (rubbing her stomach): I meant I must deliver the baby
Kyle (frantic, he gets out of bed and starts preparing to go to the hospital): I will take you to the hospital then
Sarah: Kyle, I am not in labor. It was a false alarm. I had those Braxton Hicks again.
Kyle (relaxing some): I am glad that it is a false alarm. I am getting tired of these Braxton Hicks though. I am so excited and anxious to meet our daughter.
Sarah (rubbing her stomach): Christmas Baby Watch 2009 continues then
Kyle: It is almost midnight. I predict you will give birth tomorrow, December 20th. The baby will not wait until Christmas.
Sarah: The birth will take place tomorrow or Christmas. I will get induced If Kitty doesn't come by Christmas.
Kyle (sensing something that happen later on): Please go to sleep, my love. You will need your strength later on.
Sarah (falling asleep): Goodnight, honey. I love you.
Kyle: Goodnight. I love you too.
(Little did they know that Kitty would arrive on December 20, 2009.)
Time Period: Kitty's actual birth (a hospital birth)
Sarah (crying and screaming as she pushes): AHA..AHA...AHA
A doctor and nurse (counting): 1...2..3..4..5
Sarah: AHA...AHA..AHA
Kyle (switching between holding Sarah's head and hand): You can do this. I have faith in you.
Sarah (exhausted from pushing for a long time): Kitty's birth is as difficult as John's birth. When will my suffering be over?
Kyle: Sarah, you must keep on pushing. Kitty is super close.
Time Period: A Flashback
Place: Central America- The Jungle
A pregnant Sarah ((Emilia Clarke) caught off guard by the breaking of her bag of water): OH GOD! NOT NOW PLEASE
Kyle (Jai Courtney) alive inside Sarah's mind)): John is arriving six weeks early. I understand this is not what you wanted or expected.
Sarah (bending over in pain, she drops her bookbag): Reese
Kyle (helping Sarah to sit down): I am here for you and our son
Sarah (resting against a tree): You died before I could tell you about the baby. I am glad that you have formed a bond with him.
Kyle (rubbing Sarah's stomach): I will help you with the birth
Sarah (struggling through a contraction): Thanks
(When the moment is right, Sarah begins pushing. Kyle coaches Sarah through the difficult delivery. Sarah feels as if she is pushing a huge boulder through her body. She and Kyle try different positions in an attempt to bring John farther down the birth canal. Sarah loses both blood and consciousness. She never imagined a machine, not childbirth, would kill her someday. Kyle's voice breaks through her dream world. Heaven's gates closed and the angels stopped singing (aka beckoning for her to come home) for good. When Sarah awakens, she realizes she had given birth alone along. She takes pride and joy in her newborn son John who is a warrior and survivor just like her. The flashback ends.)
Time Period: Another flashback (Kitty's birth)
Kyle (crying over Sarah who has lost blood and consciousness briefly): Please wake up, Sarah
Sarah (awakened by a sudden urge to push): AHA..AHA
Kyle (readjusting the pillows behind Sarah's back): That's a good strong push, honey
Sarah (contracting and pushing like crazy again): AHA..AHA..AHA...AHA
The doctor (placing a baby girl on Sarah's stomach): Say hello to your daughter
(Kyle and Sarah are overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude over Kitty's arrival. The flashback ends.)
Time Period: The Present Reality
Date: 12-20-2020
Kyle (waking up to sunshine and blue skies): Good morning, love. Today is our baby's birthday.
Sarah (waking up herself): I bet she is going to run into our bedroom
Kitty (running into her parents' bedroom): Today is my eleventh birthday.
Sarah (putting a tiara on Kitty's head): Today is your special day. You are a princess. You deserve a tiara.
Kyle (laughing): Definitely
Kitty: What are we going to do?
Kyle: We are going to do a lot of fun things today
(After a long day full of fun and love, Kitty ends it with a surprise zoom birthday celebration)

Place: Sarah's recovery room
Kyle (holding Kitty): How are you feeling, Sarah?
Sarah (touching her now sore flat stomach): My body is sore right now. Giving birth hurt like Hell. It felt as if I was pushing a huge boulder through my body. Kitty was worth the pain.
Kyle (torn between Kitty and her incomplete birth certificate): My mind keeps on wandering back to what I can't avoid
Sarah (signing her portion of kitty's birth certificate): Hopefully, you will get answers today. They are working on the paternity dna results as I am speaking.
Kyle (choked up): I thank you for informing me about your romantic involvement with Charley beforehand. May God rest his soul. I hope that I am Kitty's biological father. I really do love her. I am not signing the birth certificate until I have the DNA test results.
Sarah (choked up): I understand
A nurse (entering the room with the DNA results): I have the DNA test results
Kyle (perking up): Does the test results prove that I am the father?
A nurse (reading the test results): You are the father
(Kyle signs the birth certificate and the rest is history)

Kitty (hugging her parents): Thanks for the zoom party
Kyle (stroking Kitty's hair): You are welcome, princess
Sarah (taking down Kitty's birthday signs): Why must all good things come to an early end?
Kitty: Mommy, you should keep my birthday signs up until Christmas
Sarah (putting back up the signs): You are right. Let's savor this moment.
