OOOKKAAAAAAAAYYYYY….So first of all I'd like to apologize for my almost 8 month long gap of not writing or posting anything at all. I kinda lost interest in writing fanfiction and was honestly just thinking of giving up on the story. Along with all that, I couldn't find much time to write anything with all my classes and exams and stuff, plus the fact that I haven't been in the best state of mind recently. BBUUTTTTTTTT….Im finally planning to come back and I've found the time and motivation to start writing again.

I think that the next chapters I write from here on will be even better than the previous ones, since I have also gotten time to think about this and mature as a writer. Anyway, sorry for the HUGE delay in getting this chapter up, but i'm going to try to keep writing and uploading my work. It may not be every week like it used to be, but I'll try to update AT LEAST every other week.

Anyway, this next chapter did take a bit longer than I thought it would, mostly because I had honestly forgotten most of what I had written and what I had planned out for this story in the future and had to reread all the current chapters and plans multiple times to figure out where to go next, but I finally figured it out, so YAY.

ANYYYWAAAAYYYYYSSSSSSSSS….

Welcome back, everyone. This is chapter 11 of The Chosen Ones' Journey: Kanto Arc. In the last chapter, we saw Chris's parents allow him to keep the injured Eevee, who decides to name Ariel. We also saw Ash and Red go off to the forest for their first lesson in using Aura, and got a glimpse of Shadow and his general Necrozma, who have started to prepare the Ultra Beast Army.

For those that reviewed the previous chapters, I've sent you a PM answering any questions you had and such. For those that use guest accounts while reviewing, I'll answer your questions and reply to your reviews in the Authors Note at the beginning of each chapter. There have been no new guest reviews yet.

Polls:

Ash's starter: Pikachu and Riolu

PIkachu will be given to Ash by Professor Oak, but Riolu will be received differently.

Red's starter: Charmander

After leaving the poll up, the results were:

Charmander: 10

Bulbasaur: 8

Axew: 7

Poliwag: 5

Eevee: 3

Squirtle: 1

So yea. Everything's worked out. Red will get Charmander, Leaf will get Bulbasaur, Eevee will go to Elaine. I feel like Charmander is kind of iconic to Red, so it would seem weird to give him Bulbasaur over Charmander. For Ash, both Pikachu and Riolu are iconic, one of them being his starter in the anime, and the other because Ash can use Aura in the anime as well (Pokemon Lucario and the Mystery of Mew). Because of that, I'm going to be giving him both towards the start of his adventure, but not both will be received from Professor Oak as starter Pokemon.

Also, I'd like to thank Xanran for giving me the next OC in my story. His OC is based on the main character from the fan made game, Pokemon Insurgence. Details about his OC will be given soon, probably when I introduce him in the next couple chapters. Anyway, let's head into the story.

-The Ketchum Household in Pallet Town-

The next day, both Ash and Red woke up bright and early, excited for their very first day of training. Both boys quickly took a shower before getting dressed and running down the stairs to the kitchen. In the kitchen, their mother was busy making them their breakfast, consisting of Waffles and maple syrup.

Both boys carried their plates into the dining room, where they sat down at the table to eat. "Boys, eat slowly," Delia said as she noticed them attempting to squeeze large chunks of the waffle into their mouth at once. "Sir Riley isn't going anywhere," she continued.

Both children blushed. "Sorry mom," Ash said, starting to eat at a regular pace once more.

"It's just that," Red continued. "We're so excited to finally start learning how to use our aura and we wanna get to the forest as fast as we can."

"I understand, but you still have a long time to go," Delia said as she smiled down at the boys. "Sir Riley has called you to the same spot as usual at 9:00. It's only 8:25 right now." And so, Ash and Red finally managed to calm themselves down. Both boys finished breakfast by 8:40, before heading out onto the porch to put on their socks and shoes.

"Race you there Ash," Red shouted as he sprinted away towards the woods.

"Hey, no fair!" Ash complained. "You had a head start," he continued, before rushing off after him.

"Boys, slow down," Delia tried calling after them. They looked back and waved as they continued running in the direction of the Pallet Woods.

-Pallet Town Woods-

In 15 minutes, both boys had reached the same clearing where Sir Riley had asked them to meet him. Breathing heavily, they looked around. "Teacher?," Ash and Red called, wondering where Sir Riley was.

"I'm up here, boys," A voice said from above them. Both boys looked upwards into the treetops to see Sir Riley seated on a branch with his trusty partner Lucario, balancing on another one. Suddenly they both jumped off the tree branch and into the air, where they did a backflip and landed on their knees on the ground. "So boys, are you ready for your very first day of training," Sir Riley asked seriously.

"Of course we are," Ash and Red said in unison.

"Good," Sir Riley said, nodding to the boys. "Then let's begin." Saying this, Sir Riley, led the boys deeper into the forest until they came across another clearing in the forest. The clearing had been divided into different sections with equipment that Sir Riley needed in order to train his new students.

Both Ash and Red stared, surprised, at the training area that Sir Riley had created for them. One side of the clearing had multiple wooden dummies to practice on. Another side contained moving targets in order to practice aura-based attacks. Another section of the clearing contained a small obstacle course. There were logs swinging from trees, spikes along the ground, and large walls that had to be climbed over. The last section was empty except for a few tree stumps.

Sir Riley first led the boys over to the empty section. "So what are we going to be doing today, Sensei," Red asked, looking over the rest of the clearing.

"I bet we're going to learn how to throw aura spheres as you did," Ash said, jumping with excitement.

"Not quite yet Ash," Sir Riley said. "A crucial part of mastering your aura concentration. Before you boys start learning to harness your aura powers, you must first be able to concentrate enough to channel them."

"So what should we do then, teacher?" Ash asked.

Sir Riley smirked and said, "Well I'm glad you asked, because the first step to this is to meditate." Both boys groaned when they heard that. Sir Riley simply jumped onto the top of one of the tree stumps and sat cross-legged, his partner Lucario doing the same next to him.

"Well, let's get to it then Ash," Red said, as he sat down in the same position Sir Riley was in. Ash grumbled, but followed Red's example and sat down cross-legged on the last stump.

"Good," Sir Riley smiled. "Now, to unlock your aura, you must first meditate to find it inside of yourself. When you unlock it, you'll see your aura start to form inside of your body." Noticing Ash and Red's confused expressions, Sir Riley said, "Watch me first." Their teacher closed his eyes and started to concentrate. Ash and Red gasped in surprise as Sir Riley started glowing a deep blue. Within seconds, a large blue sphere of energy had formed inside of his body near his abdominal area.

"Wow, Sensei," Ash said with his mouth wide open.

"Teacher, You're glowing," Red continued, "And there's a giant blue orb of energy inside of you."

"This orb is my aura. I am able to channel it like this within seconds thanks to all my training," Sir Riley said. "You boys must meditate until you too can unlock your aura."

"How long will it take us, Sensei," Ash asked.

"Anywhere from hours to weeks, depending on your concentration," Sir Riley said. Both boys looked at the ground dejected with the thought of meditating for the next couple weeks. "Let's start then boys," Sir Riley continued, instructing both boys to close their eyes and concentrate on their aura.

-Hours Later-

Hours had passed and both boys still had failed to unlock their aura and were starting to get frustrated. Finally they couldn't take much more.

"How much more time." Ash whined, opening his eyes.

"Yea, we've been doing this for hours, Sensei," Red chimed in.

"You haven't been concentrating enough. Keep trying," Sir Riley instructed.

"Yes Sensei," The twins grumbled before closing their eyes and putting in all the focus they could. Suddenly, Ash felt an oddly familiar tug in his gut. Sir Riley and Red gasped as a miniscule blue orb similar to Sir Riley's formed inside of Ash.

"Good work Ash," Sir Riley congratulated. "You seem to have unlocked a small portion of your aura. We'll be meditating for the next couple of weeks so you can harness it at the same speed that I can."

"Yes Sensei," Ash said, feeling tired at the strain of keeping the orb up.

"Ash how did you do that," Red asked in awe.

"Just- concentrate," Ash grunted out to him as his face started perspiring with sweat.

Red sat back down onto the tree stump and put all his focus into his aura. Soon he felt a similar tug to the one Ash felt, and a small sphere of aura about the same size as Ash's formed within him too. "Sensei," Red called. "I've done it."

"Marvelous," Sir Riley said with a smile. "You both have managed to bring out your aura on the very first day of training." Ash and Red nodded their thanks, too tired to even speak after putting all their energy into sustaining the orb. Noticing this, Sir Riley told them to stop. Ash and Red let the orbs of aura dissipate and got up, breathing heavily.

"Good work boys," Sir Riley said proudly. "We're done for today. Go home and rest up and meet me back near the first clearing at the same time tomorrow." Saying this, he leaped back up into the treetops and vanished from sight.

"Wow Ash, we really did it," Red exclaimed.

"Yeah Red," Ash said. "I can't wait for us to finally master aura."

"Me neither," Red said excitedly. "Maybe if we work super hard, we'll be able to finish our training before we start our journey in 5 years."

"I sure hope so," Ash said, as the 2 boys neared the edge of the forest. Exiting the forest, the tired boys headed back home, eager to show their mother their progress.

-Mount Silver-

A clicking sound was heard coming from a small cabin nestled at the foot of Mount Silver. Inside of his cabin, Chris was busy typing away at a keyboard, staring into the computer screen as he tried to figure out who those men were who had hurt Eevee. The Only thing he could recall about them was the dark grey suits and the large red R symbol on their chest.

"Large red R symbol," He typed into the computer. As he pressed "enter", a list of searches came up. Chris scrolled through the list looking for anything that could relate back to the criminals from before, but all he found were articles on the Ride Pokemon from the Alola region.

"Maybe I should be searching for something else," Chris thought, as he deleted the previous search. "Hmmm...How about-" Chris said out loud, as he entered "Kanto Region Criminal Organizations," into the search bar. Scrolling through the new list, Chris noticed an article titled, "largest Criminal Organizations," and clicked on the link.

The link took him to the Kanto Regional Police most wanted list. Realizing how long the list was, Chris wasted no time in scrolling through it. After 10 minutes of searching, he still hadn't found anything that could be related back to the mysterious men with the red R on their clothes. He was about to give up and look somewhere else when he came across a link titled, "Team Rocket - Kanto Branch."

Chris clicked on the link, taking him to the corresponding article. Chris looked at the cover image, a man in a suit with a red R on it, and realized this was the organization he was looking for. Scrolling down, Chris read through the entire article, growing angrier as he read on. "So these are the guys that hurt Ariel," He thought to himself angrily.

"Ariel," He called out, as the small pokemon ran into his room.

"Vui vui," the small pokemon said cheerfully.

Chris turned the computer to face the pokemon. "Ariel, are these the people that hurt you," He asked. Ariel's expression immediately changed as she growled towards the picture on the computer screen. "I knew it, these are the guys," Chris exclaimed, getting up from his chair. "Ariel, I promise you, we're going to find these guys and make them pay for what they've done," he continued. "We're going to make sure we put a stop to their criminal activities."

-In another dimension far far away-

It was dark. Dark as in, pitch black. The only light present was being emitted from a black crystalline form, radiating with dark energy. This being was Necrozma, Commander of the Ultra Beasts. Necrozma had recently been tasked by his master, Shadow, to build up the Ultra Beast ranks, and he had come here to do just that. Necrozma emitted another massive burst of light from within himself, enough to finally see his surroundings.

All around him, floating in the open air, were medium sized creatures similar to jellyfish. The creatures had tentacles that seemed to be fused together in the form of a cape, with large, clear domes, decorated with stars for heads. These creatures were Ultra beasts. This particular breed of Ultra beasts was called Nihilego.

'AWAKE, MY NIHILEGO MINIONS," Necrozma screamed. "OUR MASTER, THE GREAT LORD SHADOW HAS FINALLY BEGUN TO REGAIN HIS POWER." Hearing this, the Nihilego began to cackle with excitement. They had been waiting for this moment for eons. "IN 10 YEARS TIME, SHADOW WILL BE FREE FROM HIS CHAINS AND WILL ONCE AGAIN BEGIN HIS CONQUEST AGAINST AURA'S CREATIONS. HE HAS COMMANDED US ALL TO BUILD UP OUR RANKS AND AWAIT HIS SIGNAL."

As Necrozma continued to speak, more and more ultra wormholes began to open and more Nihilego began to appear from within them. "PREPARE FOR THE WAR, MY MINIONS," Necrozma instructed. "IT IS TIME FOR SHADOW TO ONCE AGAIN RULE THIS WORLD." The first part of his master's conquest had begun. Soon the Nihilego would be ready for war. "Now, all I have to do is find the rest of them." And with that final thought, Necrozma stepped back into his own ultra wormhole, disappearing from sight.

And that's that. Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. It may not be my best work honestly, but like I said, it's a bit hard to write super amazing long chapters immediately after getting back into writing after taking a break of almost 8 months or something. Anyway, I'm working on it, and future chapters will definitely end up making up for this one.

Quick Summary: In this chapter, we saw Ash and Red's first ever training session to become Aura Guardians. In this training session, they finally managed to concentrate and unlock the aura buried within them. We also saw our OC, Chris, who finally, through some extensive research, managed to figure out that it was Team Rocket who had hurt Ariel, and saw him vow to bring down the organization. We also saw Necrozma track down the Nihilego tribe and ask them to prepare for the war in the future.

By the way, I hope you guys liked the aura training session. I know this one was a bit boring since it was only mediation and no fighting and other cool stuff, but this definitely won't be the only training session that I show. I'm planning on at least 3 more.

OCs: I still do need more OCs (not now obviously, but I will in the future) so please please please fill out my OC form and gimme any new characters you want me to include in your story. All I'm asking for the OC is some basic information such as full name, hometown, home region, age, Pokemon team, personality, occupation (What they want to become, such as trainer, coordinator, performer, etc). Please do keep in mind that, while OCs can be just about anyone and anything, I'm not accepting any OC gym leaders or Elite 4s or Champions (unless they were one of these in the past and no longer are or are trying to become one, or are from a fanmade region). Any of your OC's will be greatly appreciated. Please try to make sure your OC's are not very overpowered, since I'm still early on in the story and will need mostly weaker characters at this point in time. (Of course, you're free to send me OP ones as well, i just won't be able to use them for a while)

OC form:

If anyone wants to help me by giving me more OC's, please do PM me or send me your OC as a review. It would be a big help!

Name:

Gender:

Description of OC:

Home region and city:

Family members (optional):

Pokemon Team (at least 1 Pokemon, 12 max):

Personality/characteristics:

Occupation:

Goals:

Description: Describe how they look, clothes they wear, battling style, stuff like that

Occupation: trainer, coordinator, performer, etc (NO GYM LEADERS OR ELITE 4'S UNLESS THEY WERE ONE IN THE PAST). If it's someone who hasn't decided yet, you could state that, but make sure you let me know the decision later (unless you want the character to be confused in the story) .

If you want your OC to be used sooner rather than later, make sure it isn't very OP. I'm still early on in the story and will be needing mostly weaker characters. Any overpowered OC's will still be accepted and will be greatly appreciated, but may not be used until much later in the story.

Polls:

I don't have any new polls at the moment. Obviously I don't need a poll for romance and stuff at the moment since there's a LOOOOOONNNGGGGGG way to go for that. It probably won't even happen in this arc honestly. As for the eeveelutions poll, I haven't even decided yet who's going to get an Eevee and when, but I do know it isn't going to be soon, so there's no point starting the polls so early.

Ok, that's basically it for this chapter! I hope you enjoyed this one, even though I was really rushed when I wrote it. Please remember to review, ask any questions you have, give suggestions, and vote in the polls. Constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated, as it'll help me become a better writer. Flames on the other hand will probably be ignored If you guys liked the story, then please do favorite the story or follow it. Thanks!
