Action: The doorbell rings and Sarah answers the door.
A female Child Protection Services Worker: Hello, Mrs. Reese. I bet you know why I am here at your house.
Sarah (pleading with the woman): Please give me one more day and night with them.
The CPS worker (getting into her car): I will give you this afternoon and tonight with your kids
Sarah (choked up): Thanks
The CPS Worker (driving away): You are welcome, Mrs. Reese
(An emotional Sarah closes the door then. Kyle hugs and kisses Sarah)
Kyle (really sensitive to Sarah's pain and sorrow): Who were you talking to outside?
Sarah (distraught): I was talking to a child protection services worker
Kyle: I assume a noisy neighbor called the authorities on us. I hope it wasn't Kacey.
Sarah: Kacey would never betray us. I love her like a sister.
Kyle: I guess we will never know who betrayed us
Sarah: John was put into foster care. The past has now haunted me again. What is the point of having kids if I keep on losing them?
Kyle: We must focus on the positive. What is the positive in our situation?
Sarah: We can spend this afternoon and tonight with our kids
(Kyle and Sarah cherish every moment with Kitty and Chance, right up to bedtime when they read bedtime stories to their kids. The next day is bloody beautiful and chaotic. Sarah and Kyle juggle both an evil cyborg from the future and the authorities who are trying to take away their kids. Somehow Sarah ends up in Purgatory where she is a waitress and assassin named Scarlet).

An older James Ellison (praying): Lord, please protect her and have mercy on her soul wherever she is
Sarah ((Linda) sitting down in a pew): James
James (startled): Sarah
Sarah: Were you praying for me?
James (sitting down next to Sarah): Yes
