Situation: John, Cameron, Kitty, and Chance are selecting Father's Day cards for Kyle and Derek
Kitty (showing a card to John): Will Dad like this card?
John (putting the card in the cart): Absolutely Yes
Kitty: Ok Cool
John (finding cards for his dad and Derek): I am sure dad and Derek will love these cards
Kitty (looking around for Chance): Where is Chance?
Cameron (pulling an energetic Chance close to her): Please stay close to me, buddy. Your mom Sarah wouldn't like it if we lost you in the store.
Chance: I will, Cammie
A woman walking by: Aww...He is cute
Cameron: Thanks
Scene: Home after Walmart- The Kitchen
Chance (running into Sarah's arms): Mommy..
Sarah (embracing Chance): I love you so much
Kitty (joining in the group hug): I want a hug
Sarah (to Cameron): Please take the kids upstairs to their rooms
(Obediently, Cameron takes the kids upstairs so that Sarah may talk to John)
Sarah: How was Walmart? Please tell me the truth.
John: I had a close call
Sarah: What kind of close call?
John: I almost lost Chance. He is surely an energetic child.
Sarah: At least you found him
John: I brought Father's Day Cards for Dad and Derek
Sarah: Please don't tell your dad that I am making breakfast
John: What about Derek? He has been a father figure for me.
Sarah: He can have breakfast with us.

Action: Sarah treats Kyle to breakfast and then later sex for Father's Day. Derek enjoys spending time with his nephews and nieces.

Scene: Sarah and Kyle's bedroom
Action: Sarah (Emilia) and Kyle (Jai) are making love in hopes of conceiving John. Pops can hear the bed thumping and Sarah screaming.
Pops (standing in the hallway): I can hear the bed thumping and Sarah screaming
Kyle (to Pops): It is my goal to get Sarah pregnant with John
Pops: Keep up with the good work. I will leave you two alone.
(Sarah and Kyle then burst out laughing)
Kyle (inserting his little friend deeper into Sarah): Can you feel it?
Sarah (feeling a good sensation): OH YES MY LOVE
Kyle (kissing and touching Sarah all over the place): I love you so much
Sarah (rubbing her stomach): I am feeling the stirrings of life
Kyle (shocked but amused and hopeful): No way. It doesn't happen that fast.
Sarah: A pregnancy test shall confirm my pregnancy in a few days or weeks

Situation: Kyle discovers that he will be a father
Sarah (nauseous, she runs to the bathroom): OH NOT AGAIN
Kyle (observing Sarah vomiting in the toilet): You should take a pregnancy test
Sarah: I have brought a home pregnancy test just in case. Please get me a test from underneath the sink cabinet.
(Sarah takes a pregnancy test and test results turn out to be positive. Sarah, Kyle, and Pops are over the moon about the new baby (John). John is born on February 28th. Kyle celebrates his first Father's Day in June. The flashback ends).

Situation: Kyle (Jonathan) shares Father's Day with his brother Derek. Derek has been a second father figure for Kyle's kids especially John. John and his siblings give cards and gifts to Derek. In an alternate universe, Jesse and Jordan (Derek's wife and son) treat Derek to dinner at Red Lobster.
