FMH World of the Titans
Chapter 1: The World of Humans… Comes to an End
I'll never forget what happened the night before all this happened. I stayed up late, never knowing what was gonna happen to the world… or to me…
The Year: 2019
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Juuben High Academy
That day, cherry blossoms on a number of trees were raining their pedals on the ground and on the road. The trees were near the high school Juuben High Academy. It was so peaceful and quiet, not a sound to be heard.
Until…
Roars and screeches were heard, as the city seemed… like Hell. On the school's front grounds, the corpses of what looked to be guards and staff members were being eaten by a pack of strange humanoids. Their bodies were charcoal black, their arms elongated with the forearms having bone spikes growing out near the elbows, and their knuckles calcified with bone to make natural brass knuckles, while their feet were now hind digitoed, with their backs having their spines growing out of the skin with jotted bones to look like spines. Their faces were still human, except their noses were grown into their heads to look like skulls, their teeth now yellow and shark-like, and blackened eyes with yellow irises, as one of them screeched out like a bat or animal, and proceeded to eat again.
Other creatures like that were roaming around. Only there were more human and less mutated and still had their clothes, but with minor differences. The males and females all had jet black hair, with chalk-white skin as well as they screeched out. Even one female had changed into an eight foot She-Hulk fully naked with bulging muscles, with the muscles on the biceps, ribs, thighs, and neck were pulsating like snakes and tubes. Her strength was shown, as she ripped out a pipe and thrashed around using it like a club, even knocking out the more human creatures with it as an accidental process.
Everyone on campus were turned into monsters. Except for three that were making a break for it on the rooftop.
The first one in the back was a seventeen-year-old Caucasian American, with a scrawny frame, slightly tan skin, blonde hair that was combed to the right, and green eyes. He was scrawny but not weak, as he was hefting a bat with him. He was wearing the school uniform which consisted of a black jacket, pants, white button up shirt, but had on a pair of grey and blue sneakers. His name was Leonel 'Leo' Anderton, an American student whose family moved to Japan when he was five.
Running with him was an athletic guy with short gray hair with a few bangs framing his head, handsome face with brown eyes, and a small muscle build with the same uniform Leo was wearing, only he had red and white sneakers. His name was Hisashi Tomoe. Though oddly enough, he had a wound on his forearm that was still fresh with blood but had immediately scabbed up/
And the third was running in between, was a seventeen-year-old Asian girl with light skin, short sandy blonde hair with two bangs in front to frame her face, C-Cup breasts, a slender athletic build, and brown eyes. She was dressed in the school sailor girl uniform with a green mini-skirt, black athletic short pants underneath, thigh high black stocking socks, white sneakers, a white long sleeved shirt with a green sailor tail to it. Her name was Jong Komura. And like Matthew, she had a weapon that consisted of a broomstick with the broom part snapped off.
At the moment, all three were running away from whatever these beings were, trying to escape before whatever fate these things had in store for them came to being and fruition.
As Leo swatted one of "them" out of the way with his bat, he shouted, "Hurry!"
They reached to the stairwell, the American boy swatting another one of the male "thems" out of his way and dodged yet another lunging for him, landing upside down with "his" legs sprawled out, showing "his" bulge. The Asian students managed to get upstairs, with Jong supporting Hisashi.
"Are you alright, Hisashi?" she asked him.
The guy behind them stopped when he saw one of "them", a female, going up the stairs. Jong readied herself and her weapon as she staked "her" in the chest with it. Leo looked down at the situation, and shouted at her, "You idiot! Don't think about it!"
Taking offense from that, she looked up at him with an annoyed face, "What did you-?!" Though that gave "her" enough time to grip on the broomstick, get it out of her hands, and hit her on the head with it. She crashed herself against the wall, sinking down, her legs dangerously spread out to get a panty shot. The hit left her in a sort of a daze, leaving her vulnerable to "her" about to eat her. She recognized that "she" was going to eat her, looking scared as hell.
"No!" she shouted as she tried to get her weapon to deflect it.
"Jo-" Leo shouted, in vain attempt to help her.
"Jong!" Hisashi shouted as he ran down, grabbing Leo's bat, went down to the same level as Jon and "her", and smashed "her" head against the wall, smearing it and her clothes with red as "she" fell down the stairs. Jong had closed his eyes, but opened them to see that her boyfriend took care of it, making her smile.
"Thanks, Hisashi," she said as she got up and grabbed the broomstick, going up to the same level as the two boys. Not even notcing the downed female "them" was getting back up, and healing her injury.
"You see that," Hisachi asked her as he supported her up. "You kill them by smashing their heads… Jong!"
She looked behind her and saw that the same female "them" was getting back up and healed up, but also saw more following after them, almost zombified. So he released his hold on Jong to kick "her" down the stairs again. "She" smashed into the others following her as they tumbled down like a row of dominos or bowling ball pins. Though this didn't seem to kill them, as they slowly began to get back up and attempt to follow after them again.
"Jong! Hisashi!" Leo yelled as he gestured them to get up faster. "Come on! Move it!"
They eventually reached up there, Jong not even bothering to see or meet Leo eye-to-eye and more lost to Hisachi. Instead he looked at "them", all of "them," with a petrified and angry look. "My god..." he muttered. "What the hell is this?" He saw some of "them" either eating corpses while some of "them" walked even though they were missing or broken a body part, evidence that they were once people and just attacked.
He finally shouted at the top of his lungs in desperation from all the shit that happened, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!"
Before Zero Day began…
Earlier that day, an hour ago, the school, as well as the rest of the area, was peaceful, much like the night before. A sign outside of the campus read, Entering the School Property Without Permission is Prohibited. See Business Office for Details. On the stairwells, facing the main gate, and out of sight for anyone to see, Leo Anderton was there, leaning on the rail and looking out in the distance, sulking and frowning. He was remembering a time ago, from earlier days and years, when he and Jong… were good friends.
The time was back when they were in the first grade, neighbors, as a young Jong, who had brown hair back then, smiled happily at a young Leo who was blushing behind his glasses.
"One day, I'll marry you, Leo," Jong smiled
"Isn't that something you say when we're older," a nervous Leo asked.
"Yeah, but why wait," she nodded and smiled. "It's a pinky-promise!"
She then held out her pinky. In no time at all, their pinkies were latched onto each other. At that moment, Leo was happy at this. Very happy. No one ever told him they were going to marry him before. Even though they were six years old. Even though it was a childish promise, Leo was happy for this.
Though that memory was gone and another replaced with confusion.
The latest memory was of them a year ago, when Jong's counselor talked to her about repeating a grade. Though unknown to the counselor and to Jong, Leo had overheard while he was taking flyers to the office. He managed to get her alone as he told her what he heard and genuinely asked out of concern, "I don't get it. Why are they making you repeat a grade? You're a straight-A student." He couldn't stand the fact that this was happening to a genuine friend he had.
Before the talk could even be over, Jong was angry with him in the hallway, saying, "You can never understand, Leo..." She then stormed out of him way, leaving him sad and confused.
"I was just trying to understand," he muttered to himself. "I don't understand. Why?"
Yet another memory appeared, taking place during the first day of school, seeing Hisashi next to her. "Oh, it looks like we're in the same class again!" he stated cheerfully. "Let's make the best of it!"
Jong, now sporting short hair and had dyed it blonde, smiled, "Yeah."
The last memory then took place sometime after school that day. Leo was on the opposite side of the railroad tracks of the neighborhood they were in, heading for home. When he saw Jong and Hisachi talking to each other, happily, blushing. When Hisachi looked away, she looked behind her and saw Leo; his expression of shock was all written on his face at seeing her with Hisachi. She never mentioned once that they had broken up. But here it was: proof of that.
She looked away with a frown, but Hisachi looked concerned about her when she looked back to her, "What is it?"
"It's nothing," she simply said. "It's nothing."
And both walked away, leaving a dejected and unnoticed Leo shaking with rejection. His right eye shedding a tear as he tried his best to hide both his anger and his loss.
"Pinky-promise…" Leo's current voice muttered.
Leo took a deep breath and looked to the side. "If you lied..." he whispered harshly. "I'll stick a thousand needles in you..." He was rather mad at the blonde-haired girl for the fact that he left her for one of her friends, but even more ticked off that she didn't tell him about why she was held back a grade or that they broke up. He swore to God...
But then sighed, as he realized, "Well, at least she's happy now. Hisachi has good looks, he's fit." He looked down at his scrawny self. "Not unlike a guy who's 95 lbs of water and scrawniness."
It was no secret that he was scrawny and seemingly unable to land a girlfriend after the unofficial break up.
"This is so stupid," a familiar female voice stated.
The girl looked back to see a seventeen-year-old Caucasian/Asian mixed breed with short auburn brown hair and yellow eyes, with the same build as him, slim but she had a B cup chest, clear skin and her hair may have been short but at least she had twin bangs framing her face. Her school uniform shirt was unbuttoned but she had a black shirt underneath to hide her cleavage but lack of, but had white socks that reached her knees and red and black shoes. Her name was Kaila Takagi and she knew Leo since kindergarten. Though unknown to Lee… she had a genuine crush on him, but masked it due to her attitude towards him.
"Kaila?" he questioned the girl.
She groaned in annoyance, as she walked up to him, as his body now faced her, "Every single time, you deal with something you don't like, you go to this place." She threw her head back groaning, as she turned her back to the railing and leaned on it, not facing him, as she continued, "This is getting old. I mean, look at you. The first semester just started." She then crossed her arms and looked to him, who tried to ignore her by looking back out. "At this rate, you'd better prepare for supplemental studies, let alone repeating a grade."
Leo looked down at the parking lot and at the Sakura blossom trees nearby, as he retorted, "Same could be said about you. Fifth period's not over yet."
She scoffed at him, as she retorted back, smirking, "Unlike you, I'm a genius, so it's okay," she retorted back, arching an eyebrow, as her smirk disappeared into a frown, "Plus, I didn't get into this school by dumb luck, Anderton."
Now he scoffed, "You know, you can call me by my first name. And why do you always put me down like that, Kaila?"
Kaila straightened up, but still had her back on the railing leaning on it, "First of which, only couples call each other by their first names in Japan. You've been here long enough to know that, yet you bypass it like it's casual. And second, because I'm not a fan of stupid people, Anderton, especially those who can't admit to being stupid. You're stupid, but at least you're aware of it. That's why when I call you stupid, you get less stupid, okay, stupid?"
Leo looked to her, as he arched an eyebrow, still annoyed, but retorted, "You know if you keep saying Stupid, that word loses much of its meaning if it's repeated all over again. So who's the stupid one now?"
She didn't listen to him as she went back to sulking from a distance, as she muttered, "What the hell's your deal?" She then got up to face him, as she berated, "I guess since you've been dumped by your childhood friend, you get moody." She clicked her tongue and walked away. "Men..."
"I don't really know any other way to handle it," Leo finally spoke up, stopping her. She turned slightly to see him, as he sighed, "I kept that promise to heart, and she broke it like it was nothing."
He then sighed, as she turned to face him, as he finished, "And then there's what she said…"
Months Ago
"You know what, Leo?" she said in a serious voice. Both of them were in the classroom, after everyone left. "There was a time I really felt that way, but you didn't notice a damn thing, so..." She trailed off as she grabbed her things and left the classroom. "Goodbye."
He never felt so heartbroken in her entire life.
Present
He deeply sighed, "So what? So fucking what?" he muttered to himself, but then noticed Kaila leaning next to him, this time facing outward like he did. He arched an eyebrow, as he began to ask, "What are you…?"
"You're lucky I'm a good person to hang out with you," Kaila replied. "And don't worry about me missing classes. This is more important."
Leo arched an eyebrow, as he asked, "I thought you said that you didn't want anything to do with me."
"Yeah, well, you opened your bleeding heart to me anyway," Kaila replied.
Leo smirked a little, as he asked, "Does this mean you'll call me by my first name?"
She blushed, as she turned to look at him, obviously a little annoyed by that, as she grumbled, "Don't push your luck."
The two just hung there, not one knowing that the other had feelings for the broken-hearted fellow. But their moment of happiness and friendship, and secretly love, was briefly interrupted, as they heard the school gate rattle.
It broke them both out of their thoughts together and made them look down to see what was going on. A male figure was walking towards the gate, bumping into it and making it rattle as a result. The shadows caused by the light shining on the figure hid whatever detail they were from; their clothes, any ID or any way to identify them was hidden. For all they knew, he could have been a drunk or a junkie who had lost a bet or was too drunk to care.
Leo arched an eyebrow, as he asked, "Who the heck is that?"
"Not sure," Kaila answered, just as confused as Leo was.
The two then saw three men, two young adults and the other a bit older carrying something to shoo the intruder away, and a woman around her twenties with dark pink hair with glasses, a long white coat, a top that showed off her impressive cleavage, and a tight black skirt with black stockings, and high heels. She had a slender figure to die for and possibly F cup boobs to match, long legs, and a cute mole under the left side of her mouth, while she wore glasses.
"What's going on here?" she asked, looking at the intruder. "What do you want? Don't do anything strange." The man then stopped banging at the gate, gazing at them.. rather eerily. From the woman's view, the man's eyes looked almost… transfixed. Inhuman. Glowing. His skin was also pale, chalk white. And if you looked carefully, they were wearing some kind of Special Forces Task Force suit completely black spandex and armor. From behind, a large and deep scar like something stun him was seen on his backside, looking like they were infected, but the scar was fading away quickly, almost as if it didn't happen.
"Hold on, let me handle this," one of the men said as he banged the person on the gate.
"Mr. Tejima, wait!" the woman shouted to him. "Violence isn't going to solve anything."
"Who are you? What are you doing here?!" he asked the "man" aggressively, pointing his hand through the gate. However, the "man" took his hand… and bit into him, causing him to screech as blood burst out of it and a part of his palm was ripped off and eaten as he pulled away from the bite. Mr. Tejima continued screaming as blood leaked from his hand quickly. Both teens could only look in horror and aghast at the situation.
Leo looked in shock, as he thought, 'What the heck…?'
"Who… who is that," Kaila thought aloud, equally freaked out.
Mr. Tejima crashed his head onto the ground as he didn't move or continue to scream. Everyone looked shocked and disgusted at his corpse. "H...he's dead..." the older man stated, still in shock.
It can't be..." the woman said, as she knelt down, examining him. Though she wasn't aware that the part of his hand was beginning to heal back without anyone noticing… let alone noticing his skin was turning chalk white. "The wound was bad, but it wasn't fatal enough to kill him in seconds..." After she said that though, his hand began to twitch. The hand that was still whole, making everyone feel relieved. "Mr. Tejima, can you hear me?" His eyes opened, but didn't have the life they once had in them. Before anyone noticed, his irises had turned yellow, while his eyes were going black, but nobody noticed until it was too late. He looked up at the woman, who sighed, "Oh thank God...for a moment there, we thought-" She stopped when he grabbed her shirt, exposing her boobs, as he got up and...sank his teeth into her neck, causing her to scream bloody murder. He then began going after the others, in which they ran away, while the woman lay there, slowly bleeding to death…
… only for her wound to heal up, as she underwent the same transformation. Her skin turned chalk white, her eyes went black with yellow irises, her skin went chalk white, but her hair went black. She then stood up, looking like a zombified trance, and began to walk towards the school.
Both teens gasped at this, still aghast at the sight as they let go of the railing. This was a problem, a major problem. Both looked to each other for an answer, and knew they needed to warn everybody! Especially...
"We gotta warn everyone/I've gotta warn Jong and Hisashi," Kaila and Leo both said together, only for Kaila to arch an eyebrow, "What?"
"We'll warn Jong and Hisashi right now and try to get as many on board as we can," Leo explained, and then bolted up the stairs.
Kaila followed after, as she grumbled, "Great. And just when I was having a moment with him."
Moments Later
The two ran through the hallway as fast as they could. They didn't know if time was on their side at this moment, but they had to try at this point. Mr. Tejima was going after the others and the female teacher was strolling inside the building. Who knew what was going on or if the transformation was some kind of zombification or something. All they both knew was that whatever this was, it was parasitic and viral. Meaning it had to be quarantined before it spread further.
They managed to reach the classroom both were supposed to be at the moment. Leo opened the door as quickly as ever, slamming it open, as the classroom gave them their undivided attention. Both Leo and Kaila panted from all the running at rapid speed, and then the two walked in while Kaila stayed at the door, as Leo walked over to where he sat with Jong and Hisashi.
"Mr. Anderton? Skipping my classes doesn't make you happy enough," the teacher asked angrily. "Now you interrupt MY class?!"
He then arrived at the blonde Asian girl's desk, ignoring the teacher, and said, "Come on, we need to get out of here, NOW." He then pulled her arm to get her up without her answering. Kaila also walked over and tried to help out, tired of her 'being stupid' and dragging Leo to that stupidity.
"Wait, what are you talking about?" Jong asked, both puzzled and annoyed.
Hisashi also got up and walked to him, as he asked, "Leonard, what are you doing?"
He turned to them with a stern look, as Kaila stated "We both saw people getting killed at the school gate," she answered.
Everyone was shocked, those sitting down talking about it. One guy, who was the same age as the four arguing, pale skin, overweight and had short dark brown hair and brown eyes, looked a little paranoid. His name was Bruno Heinman, an American who moved to Japan and was picked on a lot. Another girl, seventeen years of age, with blue hair braided up into two pigtails, glasses, blue eyes, and a scrawny figure like Leo had, who was a bit more nervous and worried. Her name was Taniuchi Kanzaki, another one suffering from being bullied.
"Are you lying?" the grey-haired guy asked skeptically.
"No, this is serious!" Leo replied angrily.
Jong aggressively released her grip on his arm, and asked again, though angrier than before, "Seriously, what's going on?! I can never understand what the hell's in your he-" Kaila interrupted her with a slap, which got her even more mad. She placed her hand on the slapped cheek and gritted his teeth, glaring at Kaila, "You-"
"Just listen to him for once in your stupid life, will you?!" Kaila shouted at her, getting fed up with her pity party, and looked at Hisashi, which left them silent. They both decided to do what they thought as she looked to Leo, "Let's get going."
Later On
Down the Hallway
"Just tell me what's going on," Jong demanded from Leo. The four of them were walking in the hallway, heading right to the exit as fast as they could.
"There was some guy at the gate," Leo began to explain. "The P.E. teachers went to check it out and then..." He sighed once again. "The man did something to one of their hands, then they started to kill or infect each other."
"What do you mean kill or infect," Jong asked.
Kaila explained, "It's like they're dying but they're not. When they got bit or attacked, they seemed to die, only to come back to life."
"Like a zombie," Hisashi asked.
Kaila and Leo shook their heads, as Leo answered, "Not quiet. They don't look like they're rotting. They look alive but at the same time, it's like whatever infected them killed off who they were."
While Jong had some time to process that, Hisashi took it seriously and opened a janitor's closet, leaving the trio confused, as Kaila asked, "What are you doing?"
"If what you told us is true, we've gotta arm ourselves," he answered.
"Yeah..." Jong said as she grabbed a broomstick and broke the end of it to have it sharp. "I'll believe you. Just this once."
Leo blushed a little when she said that, but Kaila frowned, as she believed that Jong still didn't believe them. Or that she never believed Leo at all anything. But got it away as Leo spotted a sports bag with a bat in it.
He grabbed it, giving it a few swings away from everyone to get his swinging arm in the ready. But then he stopped, as he looked to Hisashi, "You need one, Hisashi?"
He shook his head. "No. I may not look like it, but I have a black belt in karate," Hisashi replied.
But Kaila stated, "You might wanna arm yourself. I recommend staying as far away from physical contact from these things as best as possible."
Leo nodded, "If we're lucky, we'll find more stuff. Now let's get out of here."
"Let's call the police. My mom's there," Jong suggested. The gray-haired boy then handed her his purple phone.
"For now, the school rules have to be broken," he said.
"Yeah, considering we don't know what the heck is going on with people turning into albino zombie mutants," Leo sarcastically spoke out.
Jong then typed in the number, waiting for a response. A moment passed and she looked terrified.
"Damn it..." she muttered.
"What?" the two boys and girl asked.
She held the phone out for them all to hear, as they heard an automated message, "You may stay on the line or call back again later. Currently, 1-1-0 is experiencing a high volume in calls."
"1-1-0 busy? That's impossible..." he said, worrying. 'Dad...' she thought, almost shaking and her eyes watering.
The four then heard the school speaker turn on as an announcement was going to be made. "A-attention all students and staff, this announcement is for everyone!" the gentleman behind the microphone said in a scared voice. "A violent incident is happening inside the school right now! All students must follow your teacher's instructions and evacuate! I repeat, a violent incident is happening inside the school right now!"
"So they finally realized it..." Leo muttered under his breath.
"...must follow your teacher's instructions and-" The speakers then let out a high-pitched ring as the announcer was cut off. Everyone looked terrified.
"No way..." Kaila paled, as the realization came into being.
All Over the School
All around the school, the speakers turned on to hear the man screaming and something moaning and growling, like a predator sizing up its prey. "GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU MONSTER!" he shouted as something was heard to be thrown. "SOMEONE HELP ME! PLEASE! ANYBODY!"
In one classroom, a male teacher, handsome but creepy like a Starscream kind of creepy, with short cut black hair, pale skin, and glasses looked up with a glare on one of his lenses.
Working in the library, four individuals heard the intercom as well.
Two women working at the bookshelves overheard it all. One was a beautiful twenty-five aged woman, with clear skin and flowing auburn hair cascading down her back with darker side highlights in her hair, blue eyes, slender figure with an amazing E cup chest, and wearing glasses. She wore a black pencil skirt, white button up blouse, black pantyhose and matching high heel shoes. Her name was Fey Saphir, the school librarian.
Next to her was a seventeen-year-old student of Asian features, slim figure, pale skin, short cut periwinkle hair and violet eyes, wearing the school uniform but for her had a black sweater tied around her waist. Her name was Riquelle Franquer, a French/Asian mix student and Fey's assistant.
Another in the library who overheard it was a male student, seventeen, red hair and brown eyes, same scrawny build and hairstyle like Leo. His name was Kril Kragen and another student.
Sitting at a desk was a seventeen-year-old American girl, Caucasian, but had a scrawny frame with an AA cup chest. She had brown eyes and brown hair done up in a braided pigtail, glasses hiding her face, and she wore the school female uniform, but had black long socks going up to her mid thighs, and her skirt was made to look longer. Her name was Heidi Bodewig, a German/American student.
Back in Home Room
In the same classroom the four were previously at, the chubby guy decided to crawl away as the announcer shouted, "HELP ME!"
"Bruno, wait up," the blue haired girl said as she was walking up to him. He looked up at him with relief.
"Taniuchi," he greeted her before she crouched down to him and shushed him.
"We need to find Leo and the others, and get out of here," Taniuchi said. Bruno nodded.
Gym/Outdoors
Even outdoors, the students in their gym classes stopped what they were doing as the announcer yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THAT HURTS! THAT HURTS! NO, STOP!"
Listening to this were a pair of four friends that were a pair. One pair male and another pair female.
The male pair of friends were both seventeen, but both were different. They were both wearing the school's gym uniforms consisting of a white and green trimmed T-shirt, green shorts, and white socks. The first boy holding a basketball was tanned, slim build, with brownish orange hair stylized like a surfer's hair which almost reached to his collar bone, and had olive green eyes, and he was wearing gray and orange shoes. His name was Cecil Kipling, an England exchange student. His friend was pale Caucasian, with short spikey blue hair, a similar frame as him, and had deep blue eyes, wearing a pair of blue and gray sneakers. His name was Albert 'Al' Creighton, an American exchange student and best friend to Cecil.
In the same room were two girls that were putting away the volleyballs when they heard this. One girl was an obese Caucasian seventeen-year-old, whose plumpness would give someone a heartattack from looking at her, with dark olive green hair, green eyes, pale skin, and wearing the same gym uniform as the boys, only she wore green, pink, and white sneakers. Her name was Danae Heracles, a Roman exchange student. Her friend was a scrawny African-American seventeen year old with magenta-colored hair that touched her shoulders, brown eyes, and wore the same uniform only with black sneakers on and sock-like knee pads. Her name was Tynisha Kane, an African-American exchange student as well.
And all four present were just as shocked to hear this.
Nurse's Office
"HELP ME! I'M GOING TO DIE!" his screaming was loud and piercing.
Startled awake, the school nurse in the nurse's office blinkered. She was a woman of twenty-nine years of age, but she had a slender and voluptuous figure with tanned skin, flowing dark red hair cascading down her back, green eyes, and was wearing a white blouse with a black tight skirt, black pantyhose and shoes to match, and was wearing a doctor's coat. She was named Lorilee Thompkins, an American working in Japan, and still single. And boy she was groggily awakened from the sound of screaming.
It had been a slow day, as she blinked, "Huh, wha…?"
Mic Room
In the mic room, only blood was seen, leaking on the wall and the microphone. But there was also movement, as it seemed like those that attacked weren't done with the young man.
The Whole School
Every student was frozen, completely aghast from what they've heard. Silence roamed around the entire school. The quiet atmosphere could be cut with a knife it was so eerie. Like nothing would even happen. But then in one of the classrooms, a teacher's stunned shock caused him to drop a piece of chalk. Time seemed to slow down as this happened, falling to the ground.
And in five seconds... it crashed on the floor and broke.
When it did, everyone all over the building freaked out and came flooding out of classrooms to get the hell out. A girl punched another to get away, another choked a guy's collar and threw him to the wall to run. People were kicked, ran over, dead. It was utter chaos and anarchy, just to escape.
The four students could hear the flooding mob come their way. And in no time at all, they rushed in their direction.
Hisashi shouted, as he began to run to another way, "This way!"
"But shouldn't we go outside?" Leo asked, as he Jong, and Kaila bolted too, "I mean Kaila and I saw one of them go into the buildings and if they're going in, the best chance is to go out."
"The classroom building is too packed with people! We're going to escape through the management building," Hisachi explained.
"Good idea, Hisachi!" Jong shouted as she started running as well, and when she spoke to Leo, it sounded like she was berating him. "Hisachi's right, so do as he says!"
"Ugh! We know that, you asshole," Kaila screamed. But then suddnely, she got caught in the crowd, as Leo stopped to see her being pulled in, as she screamed, "Leo!"
Leo was about to run back to get her, but was stopped by Hisachi, "No, we can't help her!"
"But…!" Leo was about to argue.
But Jong got into his face as she stated, "WE can't help her. Just shut up and do what Hisachi says!"
Outside
Pathway to Management
The trio were on the path to the management building, being outside on a four-way bridge, when suddenly, "someone" got in the way. The three stopped, as Leo recognized "him". "Isn't that Mr. Wakisawa, the modern Japanese teacher," he asked. But then paled, as he saw his skin tone and eyes, "Oh crap."
Jong smiled, seeing a teacher as she was about to walk up, "Mr. Wakisawa! We need.." But Hisachi grabbed her arm, as she blinked, "What?"
Even Hisachi saw the skin tone, but Jong didn't know "Be careful! She's..." she exclaimed as "he" ran to Jong, his hands about to touch her boobs.
"Whoa! Stay away from me!" she yelled at "him" as she stepped away from "him" and was about to stab "him". "He" was fast enough to grab her broomstick, trying to get her off-balance. "Damn it," she cried, as she felt it force her to the ground, her butt almost touching it. She wasn't an athlete for multiple sports for nothing. She mustered the strength to push "him" off. "Don't you fucking underestimate..." she then began to hit "him" with the broomstick in so many ways. "...an all-star athlete and a member of the Martial Arts Club!" She then stabbed "him", and kicked "his" feet off the ground.
"You did it," Leo said as he smiled to her cheerfully.
She sort of felt relieved before seeing that "he" was still moving. "He" began to push her back and knock her against the side of the bridge. She saw the pole near her and grabbed it before "he" tried to kill her.
"Damn it," she cried out, her boobs shown as he struggled to get "him" off. "I stabbed him through the heart, but he's still moving?!" She began to push "him" away a little as Hisashi grabbed "him" through an arm-lock from behind and pulled "him" away some more. That gave Jong the chance to stand.
"Jong! Pull it out now," he shouted to her. She did as she was told with no hesitation.
Leo felt very worried for the two of them being near the creature that was their former teacher, so he shouted, "Hisachi! Jong! Get away from it!"
"It's alright, Leo," he replied confidently. "I can take him!"
However, 'he' began to speak through grunts until his voice started to clear up, "Damn kids! Always… making… fun of me… No respect!" He then managed to push Hisashi off him, as he stumbled, a little.
Leo and the two blinked, "He… he spoke?"
His back began to warble, along with the rest of him, as gargled, "DAMN KIDS!"
Suddenly, his back erupted, as tentacles with black claw-like harpoon barbs shot out, lashing about. His sweater and shirt fell off as his chest inflated and shrunk, as his ribs jotted forward without breaking the skin, hardening into some kind of organic body armor. His arms stretched out as his pinky and thumb changed position to be more of a chameleon-like grasp, as his nails grew out, and sharpened into claws. His legs lengthened as well, as they ripped off, his feet exploding out of his shoes, as the last of his clothing fell off as his lower body changed as well. His legs suddenly split in two parts, as they became thinner and more jointed, and even his feet lengthened and stretched out, until they were now four spider-like legs. He gargled and roared, as his neck stretched out a bit more, tube-like growths showed up at where his jugulars were at, and his teeth grew out to be more shark-like and sharm.
By the time he was finished changing, there was barely a man at all. All that was left was a man with longer arms with chameleon hand fingers, his back was now a mane of eight tentacles with black harpoon-bladed barbs, his two human legs were now gone to showcase four spider-like legs and his genitalia had fused to his butt like a cloaca. His neck was out farther with organic-like growth tubes on his neck. His forearms and chest had bone growths that didn't break through the skin at all, and his feet were a single claw on each spider-leg. The man that was formerly Mr. Wakisawa had been replaced by some monstrosity.
The creature turned its direction to Hisashi, looking at him like he was being sized up. Albeit a bit shocked, Hisashi tried his best to get the creature away from him, but charged to kick at him to force him back or to show it wasn't messing around. Unfortunately, it only stumbled a bit, as Hisashi cursed, "Dammit!"
Before Hisashi could do anything, the creature lunged and grabbed him as he pulled him up. Jong screamed out in fear, "Hisashi!"
Suddenly, two of the tentacles suddenly shot out, and jabbed into Hisashi's collar bone, as he screamed out in pain. And much to his horror and Jong's it was trying to bite his neck. Though luckily, working through the pain, Hisashi was about to fight back by trying to push it away from him while still harpooned to it.
Jong began to cry and look pissed, as she shouted from the top of her lungs, "HISASHI!" She then charged with her weapon and stabbed at the neck. It seemed more annoyed as it swatted her back, as she skidded on the ground. She got back up, and then looked at the dark blonde haired boy, "Leo! You're a man! Fucking do something!"
He gasped and stood still, which made him even more mad. But she was right, he had to do something.
The boy then let out a cry as he ran to the creature with his bat and smashed it aside the head. Though it didn't hurt it, it was annoyed, as its tentacles shot out to swat him. Leo held his arms up to shield but it was a strong swipe as he was sent flying back to Jong who managed to catch him.
Jong helped him up, as she stated, "WE have to do something! Why didn't you…?"
But both were stopped as the creature threw a still alive Hisashi at them both, catching him. Once they crashed on the floor, they looked to see the creature suddenly jump outwards the school grounds on its legs like a grasshopper, and then swing around using its tentacles to propel itself around until it disappeared around a corner.
As they got up, with Jong helping Hisashi and looking superworried, Leo had to ask, "What the…? Why'd it leave?"
"Who cares? It's gone now," Jong stated, but then looked at Hisashi worried, asking, "Hisashi, please tell me you're okay."
"That thing just harpooned me. Though I don't think it's fatal," Hisashi groaned a bit, trying to ease them both off. But then he noticed the confused look on Leo's face, "What? What is it?"
"It had us at its mercy, we clearly weren't a match against it. And yet not wanting to finish us off, it leaves," Leo explained, trying to make sense of it. "The thing at the gate attacked one teacher biting a finger or two off, and then it bites another one, and then goes after the other teachers. It's like they're not even trying to kill or eat us."
That did ponder some strange questions, but it would have to be for another time. All of them heard screaming from below. A guy was pinned down by a "girl" and screaming.
"No, get away from me, you bitch! Get awa-" he shouted before "she" pinned him down, and bit at his chest, blood bursting and him screaming.
Everyone up above looked terrified at the sight. "We can't afford to deal with them like that," Leo said, looking at Hisashi, who was covering his wound as best he could. But Leo even noticed that the bleeding had stopped altogether… and a thought struck him. But he didn't need to speak; he didn't want Jong to be saddened by his theory.
"Then we go to the rooftop," Hisashi suggested.
"Rooftop?" Jong questioned.
"We'll barricade ourselves until help arrives. There's an observatory there," Hisashi explained. The two others nodded as Jong supported him while Leo led the way, knowing the way to the roof.
Later On
Soon, they made it to the roof, running to the edge to see what was going on outside of campus. All of their eyes widened when they saw the traffic, burning and screaming. The electrical plant was smoking-hell, the entire city was smoking. Everyone was completely dumbfounded, especially Leo. The peaceful serenity that was an hour ago… had become a site befitting for Hell on Earht as it were. And far in the city, all three could hear roars and screams.
"Wh-what is this...," Leo asked in a shaky voice. "What's happening...?"
"Everything was normal until a minute ago..." Jong added, looking shocked. It was as if the world she knew had changed forever, and she was slowly in denial about it all. Suddenly, a strong wind hit them, blowing Jong's skirt up, showing off her legs and panties. Hisashi was blown to imbalance until Leo caught him. Everyone then looked up and saw...helicopters...fly past them.
"A Black Hawk? American? Wait, no..." Leo paused. "The Self-Defense Force?! Where did they come from?! They don't have a base around here!"
"C-could they help us," Jong asked. "There's no way they could've flied all this way for nothing..."
Hisashi looked at the helicopters at the distance. "They have to be some special mission or something," he sighed in despair. "They don't give a damn about rescuing us."
Jong almost argued on that, but Leo nodded as he pointed to the ground as the creatures that were once human, hunting and gathering, were more apparent. "We get down there, we're done," he said as a girl in a gym uniform was carried by four male creatures. They pinned her down, as they began to tear her clothes off, and pleaded for them to stop as they towered over her, and they all heard screaming, like someone being raped. "I can't even imagine what's happening inside the school..."
Inside
Inside the school, two female friends were running together, one of their hands on each other's shoulders. Both had A cup chests and slim in body design. One had short black hair with a small bun in the back, with two bangs framing her face while the other had mid-length brown hair. "We should be okay if we stick together, Toshimi," the dark-haired one said.
"Of course! We're best buds, Misuzu," the brown-haired one replied. However, the dark-haired girl got her foot grabbed by one of the male creatures, as he had his shirt and shoes off, she got pulled down, her hanging onto her friend's wrist. She was being pulled towards him, while more male students turned creatures, all had recently got their clothes off and were naked walking or crawling up to her, like ants reaching out together and piling on one another, as she screamed, "No! Help me! Help me, Misuzu! Please, help me!"
In a cold tone, Toshimi said, "Let go." Misuzu looked shocked and frightened, as Toshimi shouted at her, "Are you a dumbass?! I SAID LET GO!" She then kicked her down the stairs, her screaming as she was swarmed as they began to pull her in to their ball, her legs sticking out as she screamed hysterically, as she sunk in with only her shoed feet out.
As Toshimi backed away, she bumped into someone, and paled. Two female naked creatures and a stronger looking naked male creature grabbed her face, as the other two began to strip her down, as she paled as to what was going to happen next.
Elsewhere
In another part of the school, a male creature broke the window, scaring a plump blonde woman. "Th-they're here too," she exclaimed as she began walking with a crazed look on her face. She began chuckling, not noticing the swarm following her, "There's no way this is happening. It can't be happening..." She walked by some of them, who seemed to follow her, as she rambled, "This is just a dream...I need to wake and go to work tomorrow..." She then saw an open window and climbed onto it. "I need to show those new club members what it's really about..." she was about to fall off the roof, when suddenly, the hands grabbed her, and pulled her in, screaming in fear, as she cried out, "NOOOOOOO!"
Elsewhere
While a guy in one of the stairwells was being attacked, Riquelle and miss Saphir were making their way, while Riquelle had a boken with her, ready to fight.
Back with the Trio
"This is like a disease..." Hisashi stated.
"Disease," Jong asked.
"No, not a disease," Leo replied. "It's more like… a parasitic takeover."
"A what," Hisashi asked.
Leo nodded, as he explained, "These people aren't dead. Something's mutating them. They're still alive, but they're not themselves. It's like they've been rewritten to infect and spread. And now down there, people are mutating and changing into monsters left and right, going after others and either killing them or infecting them. And the scary part is it's all real; not a video game or a movie series. I wouldn't even know what this is or what to call them. The humanoids are like in some sort of state. When we saw that teacher earlier…"
"It was like he was metamorphing into something else. He regained some part of his mind and intelligence, but afterwards…" Though their thoughts were interrupted as they saw a swarm of Infected coming from all around the rooftop.
"So, what now," Jong asked. The gray-haired boy looked at the building across from them.
"We get up there and block the stairs," Everyone else nodded as they readied their weapons in case of one of them try to attack any of them.
"And afterwards," Leo asked.
"Well, think about it. Now GO," Hisashi shouted as the three ran to the stairwell.
The event shown at the beginning then happened, from Leo getting the Infected out of the way to Hisashi saving Jong from one of "them". Truly, such an event like this baffled Leo to no end. How could any of this happen? How...and why?
Present
Now…
The sun was setting. The three had the stairs barricaded and the ground below was still filled with "them", now simply called the Infected. Cherry blossom petals fell like it was any other day.
"Why...? Why the fuck is this all happening," asked Jong, still baffled at the situation.
"There has to be a reason," Hisashi said, keeping calm. "If we can figure out who or what's causing this, then we'll figure out how to solve it."
Leo looked at him baffled, as he stated, "You make it sound as if it's our job to stop it." He sighed, as he looked out, "Any way you look at it, we have no clues, no leads. None of us are geniuses, and we lost ours in the crowd. And unless any of us have a lab or biologists…"
"Jesus, Leo," Jong shouted at him. "Can you just stop it!?"
Hisashi then slowly stood up, "We'll try to look for any source of light in the observatory, like a match or a lighter. If we don't, we'll never see their movements at night-" he suddenly began to cough and sink to his knees. He wiped the brow of his forehead, only to pull back and gasp, at seeing a white skin splodge beginning to spread. Jong gasped and held him tight.
"Hisashi, hold on," she then looked back at Leo, who was far from them and still holding his bat, especially Hisashi. "Leo! Hisashi is..." He knew...he was infected by those barbs... and he'd soon turn into one of "them". He knew it.
The gray-haired male took raspy and unsteady breathes, looking pale and near death. This broke Jong's heart to see. "Why...?" she asked. "They were just stab wounds...and it took a big toll on him..."
The dark-blonde boy took a deep breath, "I was right. This thing is a viral parasite. Seeking out and infecting others to build numbers." He then paled as he realized the situation, "Once you get infected, you become one of them."
Her eyes began to water, and cried out in denial, "No...no! Not Hisashi! He can't! He led us through all this! I mean, what happens in movies is just-"
"It happened to everyone else," Leo interrupted in a serious and angry voice.
In a shaky breath, Hisashi looked at his friend and asked, "Leo...will you help me?"
He looked down at the ground solemnly, and then asked, "What help?"
The other boy faced him, his finger shaking as he pointed to the edge of the roof. "There..." he whispered. "From there...the fall should smash my head." Leo looked back at him with a petrified look. Was he asking...?
Jong also looked petrified, as she pleaded, "Hisashi, ple-"
"I DON'T WANT TO BE ONE OF 'THEM'," he yelled from the top of his lungs, interrupting her. That made him throw up twice as much before. Leo just stood there frozen while Jong was shaking him.
"HISASHI! NO! STAY WITH ME," she shouted as he coughed out, struggling with the changes, as he threw up his lunch, staining the ground more. Hisashi's skin went whiter and his gray hair was turning white, as Leo felt himself shaking, seeing his friend in a state like this.
"Leo...please..." he begged him as he looked into his friend's eyes, his slowly turning yellow. "I just want to be myself for my last moment..." Before he could reply, he coughed more blood and began moving in a seizure, choking. That got his girlfriend to tear up.
"NO! HISASHI! FIGHT IT!" While she was yelling and trying to help him, Leo was in temporary stasis. He thought of putting him out of his misery by doing what he asked, but... he didn't want to be near him. He didn't want to touch him. He was done. What else could he do other than see his friend die right before their eyes and seeing Jong suffer for it? He didn't know. He didn't know what else he could do...
...because it was too late.
"YOU CAN'T DIE!" the girl shrieked, her shriek echoing throughout the area.
Hisashi's body was immobile and Jong cried on top of it, muttering swears. Leo only gripped on his bat, waiting for the moment where Hisashi would become one of "them". However, his arm shook a bit, as he looked to it, telling it to silently stop shaking. But then he paled at what he saw, realizing the situation.
Hisashi's hand began to twitch, which alerted Leo, as he gripped on his bat with his left hand. "Jong. You have to get away from him," he demanded her. She stopped crying and looked at him helplessly. As she saw him walk to her dead boyfriend with the bat, she became protective.
"NO!" she shouted furiously. "I can't let you! He's not turning into one of 'them', you hear?! Hisashi is different!"
"I said..." he muttered to her with cold eyes. "Get away from him. If I don't.. he'll end up infecting you too. "
"I'm not asking you to fucking save me," she asked angrily as she stood up, standing between the two. "Did I ask you?! I'd rather die that than fucking surviving and doing this shit!"
He felt like crying, but kept his tears in, and asked, "Would Hisashi want that for you?"
"How would YOU know, Leo?!" She then paused and smirked, "Oh, now I know why...you hate Hisashi, don't you? Because he stole me from you!" Silence was grown between the two, as she interrogated, "Huh?! Am I right?!" But then she blinked, as she saw Leo's right forearm, and paled, "Your forearm…"
Leo looked down, and pulled it up… showing barbs from the creature from before embedded in there. He sighed, feeling hot and sweaty, as he felt the infection begin to spread, "Yeah… I just realized it too. That's why when I have the chance to finish Hisashi… kill me next."
Then suddenly, the two heard Hisashi try to take a breath and move, which made Jong relieved. "See? I told you he was okay. We'll try and help each other out. I knew he wasn't..." She paused to see him get up in an odd way and stand up. "Hisashi? What's wrong?"
Though there was no answer, as he walked into the light. His skin was grayish white, and his hair silver white. She then saw his zombified yellow eyes, making her tears come back. She couldn't believe this, as she whimpered, "HISASHI!" Leo grabbed her and got her back a few steps, truly seeing that his former friend wasn't himself anymore. "No...it can't be..."
"I know..." Leo whispered to himself as he readied himself to kill "Hisashi" while she was still crying. "This is unbelievable and stupid..."
"No..." Jong whimpered, realzing she was losing two people now. "Don't do it..."
"But..." he looked up at "him" and shouted, "This is really happening!" He then screamed as he ran to "him" and swung the bat at "him". He shoved them both so hard, that both the creature that was Hisashi Leo, broke the fence, and were sent plummeting towards the ground.
The loudest anyone in the vicinity could hear was Jong screaming,
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Moments passed, as Jong was now on her knees at the ledge. Crying at the fact that she lost them both.
Back down below, the corpses of the two boys were down but not for long. Hisashi had gotten up and slumped away, slowly regaining proper motor functions until he was no longer zombie-like.
Leo's corpse, remained down, the barbs on his right arm gone. His sleeve tore from the exposed metal on the fence as a result. His body twitched a little, as the wound on his arm began to change color. But instead of Chalk White or Gray… this was different. This new color… was Sky Blue. And Leo's right eye opened up, showing that was going black… but the iris was changing to a Sapphire Blue.
