Note: this story does not show my true feelings. I was given this idea from someone. We, my friend and I are not against same sex relationships. I am married with children and we happen to have a few good friends who are gay. Everyone has their own beliefs and their own opinion. I find love a beautiful thing, whether it's for the opposite gender or the same gender. This is just a fictional story.

Reasons:

Harry Potter, the saviour of the wizarding world became an auror after the defeat of Voldemort. There were many that was his age that never returned to Hogwarts to do their final year, they went straight to work.

Hermione Granger returned to Hogwarts even though she was now engaged to Ron Weasley. Ron joined the aurors as well, but after two years, he realised it wasn't for him. Ron ended up going to work for his brother, George, at WWW. Hermione went to work for the ministry after she finished at Hogwarts. She still tried to help house elves, but after a couple of years, the most she could do is make it illegal to hurt or abuse a house elf in anyway. She ended up working in the same department as Harry. The department of magical law enforcement. Harry became an auror, Hermione worked on changing bad laws worked on creating new laws to suit everyone.

Harry married Ginny Weasley after he finished his auror training and had been married now for just over five years. Ginny played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. She was finally a professional quidditch player, which had always been her dream.

Harry had now been an auror for six years and was the unofficial deputy head auror.

He had been out chasing one of the last of the death eaters and even though he caught the death eater, he did end up injured. After seeing a healer, Harry decided to take the rest of the day off.

Harry was tired as he walked into the house. The house was Grimmauld place, that his godfather left him. After the war and even though he was working, he ended up stripping the place back and completely changed everything in there. He had help, from Ginny, along with many of the Weasley boys and Hermione. Apart from stripping it back, Harry also took down some of the walls to open the house up more. Since he didn't use magic, when the wall came down, the portraits came off the wall. He grinned as he set alight the portrait of Sirius' mother. That wasn't the only portrait he burnt, he burnt almost all the portraits but also things like the elf heads and the troll's leg umbrella stand. Now the house was bright and welcoming. Harry did fix his parent's old home and placed it under the fidelius charm. But when asked if he planned to make that his home with Ginny, Harry said no. The house was just for him so he could see a bit of what his parents lives had been like. Harry did love the house but he just didn't want anyone in there, touching his parents things.

Harry put his bag and cloak in his office and decided to have a shower before taking a nap. As he got close to his bedroom door, which was opened, he heard two voices. One was his wife and the other was another woman. Harry would have let them know he was there but he heard some things that made him stop.

Harry quietly went back downstairs, grabbed his invisibility cloak, slipped it on and went back upstairs. He stood at the open door staring at Ginny and the other woman. Harry recognised her as one of the players for the Holyhead Harpies. But it was what they were doing and saying that shocked Harry.

'We've talked about this Anna, it's illegal for same sex couples to be together.'

'I know. It shouldn't be, yet it is. But can't we just pretend to be single and share a place like two friends. Having to sneak in here or sneak to my place is getting harder. I get strange looks from many people.'

'If I left Harry everyone would turn against me. You know how he is thought of. He's the bloody saviour. No one will go against him.'

'You should have chosen another bloke that wasn't so well known.'

'I was going to but my family basically had me married to Harry before we left Hogwarts. I only dated him to throw people off and because he was my brothers best friend. I never expected us to get back together but I saw bloody Ron when Harry talked to me about resuming our relationship. Ron heard it and if I said no, there would be questions, one's I couldn't answer. Look Anna, love, we only have an hour before Harry gets home, let's not waste it talking about things we can't change.'

'I hate it, but you are right. I just love you so much Ginny. You are my world, my everything.'

'I feel the same, you are the love of my life.'

Harry continued to watch for another twenty minutes before he quietly went back to his office. He grabbed his normal cloak and bag and left the house. He had things to do and he couldn't allow anyone to know he had found out his wife was cheating on him with another woman, not until he was ready. He would have to act normally with his wife until he returned to the ministry the following day.

Harry went to his parents home, he decided to work on plans there. It was a place no one but him could get in to. He also knew this would now be his home. He wasn't sure what will happen to Ginny once everyone found out, but he didn't care. She had used him to keep her secret. He had been hoping that in another couple of years, they would have kids. Even if Ginny kept up the act of being a loving wife and tried to lie about this relationship, he would never have a child with her, not now he knew the truth.

Harry would never tell anyone he didn't have anything about same sex relationships, but it was illegal in the wizarding world and he, as an auror had to uphold the law. He had enough people turn on him over the years, he finally got a good reputation, he wasn't going to ruin it. He definitely wouldn't ruin his life for his soon to be ex-wife who only used him so she could carry on having her affair with a woman.

Harry did arrive home at his usual time and acted like normal. But he did say he had been injured and was going to shower and go to bed early. It was the only way he could be away from Ginny and he was worried he might slip and she would find out that he knew what she had been doing.

The following morning, Harry waiting until Ginny left for practice before he got out of bed. He had been pretending to sleep. He packed up all his things, including pictures and just items he had bought. He didn't really want anything else. He packed all of Ginny's clothes and personal items then sealed the house. He knew the law, he knew what would happen to Ginny so she wouldn't be returning to the house. He took everything to his parents home, he would send Ginny's stuff to the Burrow on the day after the court case. He would just need to get a portkey from Tim. He would set a time and place it with Ginny's things. He wouldn't need to worry about it after that.

Once Harry had everything done, he left for the ministry. He explained to his boss that he needed to do something before he could begin work. He found out something that someone was doing and it was illegal. He would explain it all after. His boss, Tim, knew to trust Harry and knew he deputy head auror would tell him what was going on.

Harry went to the fourth floor and spoke with a woman who worked there. The room had been made private with wards to prevent anyone listening or trying to get in. Harry explained he was filing for divorce and he had memories for proof that his wife had been cheating but she was also doing something illegal. He explained that he would be telling his boss once he returned to the auror office, who would then go an arrest his wife, soon to be ex-wife.

The woman was shocked at finding out that Harry Potter's wife had cheated. She knew, like many others knew that Harry Potter was the most admired and popular wizard in the wizarding world. Then she found out just who Ginny Potter had been cheating with. It was her job to watch the memory, make sure it hadn't been tampered with, then begin the process for Harry Potter to divorce his wife. She went through everything then told Harry that the court case would be on the following Monday at ten o'clock in courtroom four. Harry hadn't been surprised by the choice of courtroom. That room had specific wards placed all around it. That was done before all the trials for the death eaters and snatchers. The moment you entered the room, every person had to tell the truth. If someone just said something even though they weren't being questioned, they would tell the truth. Harry thanked the woman, gave her a small smile, paid his bill then returned to the auror office.

Tim gestured for him to come straight in and he made sure to shut and ward his office.

'I knew by the look on your face that this was serious.'

'It's not dangerous but it's serious and illegal and it's going to cause a lot of trouble for some. It could have this office visited by many once they find out what is about to happen.'

'Then take a seat and explain. Just tell me, will I be arresting someone or can another auror take care of it?'

'It would have to be you. If Connie hadn't retired, she could have.'

'So it's something to do with a person you are all close to. Then explain.'

'As you know, I went home early yesterday. Well, I heard voices and a few things made me want to know more without being seen. I used my invisibility cloak and stood at the open door to my bedroom. My wife was in bed with someone.'

'Okay, so she cheated, which means divorce. Even if I am sorry you had to see this and go through it, that's not illegal.'

'She was in bed with another woman. I heard enough to know that they have been doing this for years. Ginny only married me so no one would know she was having sex with another woman. I've already organised everything, all that needs now is for her and that woman, Anna Taylor to be arrested. It can't be any of the others as they were, or are friends with Ginny and I can't be involved either. That leaves you, sorry boss.'

'Don't be. We've all gone over the laws about relationships, family and friends. No auror can arrest or be involved in any case that has friends, family or any type of personal relationship. When is the court case?'

'Next Monday and it's in courtroom four.'

'So we'll all hear the truth, from everyone. I'll arrest both of them today and they will stay in the holding cells for five days. I understand why you said this office with get a lot of visitors. Molly and Ron will be the worst, Arthur might be the first since he works here. Hermione will be another since she also works here but she also works on this floor. She could find out faster than the others. Tell me Harry, Hermione, she's been working on changing some very old bias laws. Has she ever said she wants to change laws because we are very old fashioned compared to the muggle world and not just pure-blood laws?'

'She's spoken about it, she never said what laws she would like to have changed. Oh, she said about woman being classed and paid as equals. That's the only one she mentioned. I agree with her on that one.'

'She could be working on same sex relationships as I know it's legal and accepted in the muggle world. You were raised in the muggle world. I'll keep it to myself but tell me, do you approve of same sex relationships?'

Harry knew he could trust his boss but he would rather keep his real views to himself.

'I'm against it. But remember boss, I was basically isolated in the muggle world so I never got to see or even hear anything about same sex relationships. Oh, I did hear my uncle go off about them once. He called them all these names, I just never knew why at the time. The moment I arrive in the wizarding world, all I thought about was this world and it's laws so I basically grew up hearing about what is and isn't accepted in the wizarding world. But no, I don't like it at all. I know the muggle world is different and they have a huge population. If two woman or two men get together, it's not like it will hurt them if they don't have children. We have a small population and we lost a lot of people over the last fifty years. We need to grow in numbers. Same sex relationships will stop them having children.'

'Yes, which is the only reason I'm against it and why it is against the law. Unless our population grows rapidly and quickly, I doubt that law will ever be changed. We're lucky that many of those muggleborns or muggle raised half-bloods returned to the world once they knew they could finally have a chance at a good job and life now there are no pure-bloods making the laws. Alright, you get back to what you were doing and I'll get started on the paperwork to arrest those two woman.'

Harry went back to his desk. He did speak with the other aurors, who were all friends. He just never told them what was about to happen. He did wonder how long it would take before the first lot of visitors turned up.

One thing Harry knew, or he believed was that Hermione will want to know what is going on. She could use her department to find out why Ginny was arrested. If she did, she could tell the Weasley family. He would just have to wait until they turned up, which he knew they would.

When Tim came out of his office, he told Harry he was in charge until he returned.

'Even though you are the unofficial deputy head auror Harry, Tim's never actually left and put you in charge before,' Susan said.

'When he has left, he's usually only gone for about half an hour,' Ernie said.

'I wouldn't worry about it. Tim might have something to do that's personal or he might have to see the minister.'

Dennis stared at Harry, 'You know something, don't you Harry?'

'Fine, but I can't say anything. You'll all know soon enough. Let's just get back to work.'

'Yes...boss,' Dennis said making the others laugh.

It was nearly two hours later that Tim walked back into the room with the minister following.

'Harry, the minister would like a word, in private so use my office while I inform everyone what is going on.'

Harry walked into Tim's office with the tall black man following. He activated the wards so they would have complete privacy.

'Tim let me know because he knew some, if not all of them will turn up. Word would be spreading already since he had to arrest both of them while they were with the other players. Gwenog was given the basic information and she was told she will know all of it during the court case.'

'Do you think they will cause trouble?'

'Some will, like Molly and maybe Ron. I just don't know what they will do once they know the reason Ginny was arrested. They usually do support each other so I'm not sure what they will do. I find it hard to believe that she fooled us, all of us.'

'She would have heard her mother go on about that from a young age. She learnt to be sneaky by copying the twins. She also knew how to lie to her mother, when it was needed. I just never expected to be lied to or used like this. When I heard some of the things she said, I was furious. She basically used me to keep this a secret. The other woman, she wanted them to live together but tell everyone it was just two single friends sharing a place. If Ginny did leave me, Molly would be the first to have a go at her. She's often said that there had never been a divorce in the family. Hermione and Ron would both be on her all the time, before the others. She knew she would be put under so much pressure to stay but it also could have made people suspicious.'

'You're right, it would have made people suspicious. I'll be in the room, so I'll hear it all just like everyone else. Because of how close the Weasley family are, they will be there even if they have no idea the reasons. They might support her now but I just don't know if they will after. They might not but still cause trouble for you since you were the one to bring this to light.'

'Ron hates it, I've heard him say a few things about two boys together. The trouble is, he always gets protective of Ginny so he might cause trouble just because it's his sister. That could change once he knows the truth, I just don't know what he will do. I want it over with. I'll concentrate on work and spend time with Teddy.'

'It's best to steer clear of any dating for at least six months, maybe a year. You don't want to be accused of doing this just to get out of the marriage.'

'No, but I probably won't date for a long time. I was always wary about why someone liked me. It was different with Ginny as she got to know me since I spent so much time at the Burrow. She also helped me after Arthur was attacked by Nagini in the department of mysteries. I kept thinking I was possessed by Voldemort and refused to be near anyone. It was Ginny who made me see sense. She was someone who liked me for me, not the blasted boy-who-lived.'

'You're getting to know more people now Harry. Also, you've done your training, you'll be able to read woman more now so you'll know if they want you or the saviour. Anyway, I best get back to my office.'

Harry released the wards and the two men instantly heard the shouting. Both just raised their eyebrows. They had been expecting this.

They left the office and Hermione instantly rounded on Harry while Molly and Ron kept yelling at Tim. Arthur was trying to get everyone to calm down. The aurors all stood with wands in hand ready to stun if it was needed.

It was Kingsley that let off a loud bang, 'Everyone shut up. None of you will be told why she was arrested. You will find out during the court case. I'm saying this now, if you keep going, you lot will be sitting in a cell. I will say that there is proof that Ginny did something illegal and you will see that proof on Monday. Arthur, take your wife home. Ron, leave, go back to the shop. You should know that we don't arrest people without proof. Hermione, you go back to your office. If you don't, I will have these aurors arrest you. I heard a few threats there and threats to an auror is an automatic one month in Azkaban. If you leave, we'll let it go. If you don't, then you will get arrested.'

Harry just stayed standing with his arms folded but he did have his wand in his hand. Arthur finally pulled Molly and Ron from the office. Hermione stared at Harry as if she was trying to make him tell her. All Harry did was shake his head before she huffed and hurried out of the office.

'She's going to use her office to find out, then she will inform the Weasley's what's going on,' Tim said.

'I believe she will and I know that most will not believe it. I think Hermione will be the one that will try to help her,' Harry said before he went to his desk.

Tim flicked his wand and the door to the corridor shut then he set the wards.

'Since I did not get a chance to explain to you before they came in, I will now. You all heard, Ginny Potter along with another woman from the Holyhead Harpies were arrested. All of you are friends with Ginny and Harry is married to her, which is why none of you can be officially involved and why I am running this case. All of you will be inside the courtroom on Monday, unless you are needed elsewhere. Normally you would not be in there but we have no choice so you will have to put aside your feelings and do your job.'

'I'll be there as well,' Kingsley said.

'What is going on?' Susan asked.

'Harry caught Ginny cheating. As you know, that's not illegal. But she was cheating with another woman, one of her team mates. We all know the law whether we approve or not. It is illegal in the wizarding world to be involved in a same sex relationship. Now I can't say whether they will do time in Azkaban or they will just be classed as outcasts, we will have to wait until Monday.'

'When this has happened before, they normally ask the husband or wife what they would prefer. Most chose Azkaban, mainly because they are hurt,' Kingsley said making everyone turn to look at Harry.

'Right now, I couldn't tell you what I would prefer. I just want to be legally divorced from her.'

'That's basically already done mate, it just has to go in front of panel to hear the reasons. She broke the law apart from being unfaithful so the divorce is already done,' Kingsley said.

'You said you think Hermione will help her,' Susan said staring at Harry.

'Hermione was raised hearing how it's accepted and legal in the muggle world. I might have lived in the muggle world but I was isolated so I didn't hear much about that. From the moment I entered the wizarding world, that's all I concentrated on. Hermione believes that almost all laws in the wizarding world need updating or changed completely. I never heard her say she approved of this so I could be wrong. She might not like it for all I know. We never spoke about this subject. Ron will support his sister no matter what but I know he doesn't like it, I've heard him say how it's wrong. He could change his mind about his sister once he knows the truth. Molly and Arthur are both against is but again, this is their daughter. If she's classed as an outcast, she will either have to live and be supported by her parents since she will not be able to work in the wizarding world, or she will have to find some type of job in the muggle world. Ginny knows nothing of the muggle world, she would find it difficult if not impossible to find work. I don't know much about Anna Taylor as she left Hogwarts before I started fourth year. For all I know, she might know the muggle world and have them both live together there.'

'There's no use going on about this. It will be over on Monday. Let's get back to what we were working on,' Tim said.

Kingsley left to return to his office. Tim went into his office, while the rest of the aurors went back to work. Harry did see looks from them and all of them felt sorry for him. He didn't mind, but he really just wanted to forget about it, until Monday.

It was only the next day that Hermione found out the reason Ginny was arrested and she did tell her husband before the rest of the Weasley's. All of them did not believe what Hermione told them but they knew they would have to wait until Monday before everyone heard the truth.

Harry was right, Hermione wasn't against it and it was one law she has been secretly working on in the hope to have it abolished. Harry would find out, especially when Hermione expected Harry to support her. He holds two seats in the Wizengamot and had used those votes to support Hermione before. She will find that this time he will not support her. One law Hermione wanted to block that Harry didn't, it was the only time he had gone against her. The new law that all muggle relatives were spelled so they could never reveal the wizarding world to anyone. It was Harry who first spoke with Kingsley and Tim about it, using the Dursley's as an example. He explained that if the Dursley's could get money or a good reputation, they would tell everything they knew. It was passed with only Hermione working against it.

Tim and Harry were the first two in the auror office on Monday morning. They wanted to make sure they were ready for everything, especially the attention this case will cause.

Harry Potter is the saviour of the wizarding world. He was loved and admired by all. Almost everyone will support him and they will show it, one way or another.

One by one the aurors arrived. Once they were all there, Tim lead them into the courtroom. Harry took a seat in front of the panel. The other seat or seats were for the accused. The aurors took up position around the room. Tim left to get the prisoners, he activated one of the wards, to prevent anyone from speaking until the doors were close and the case was ready to start.

Harry mainly read the documents on the desk in front of him so he didn't take any notice of what was going on around him. He was also making notes while he decided what punishment Ginny would receive. He had no idea that many had been trying to get his attention and make him drop the case. Hermione and Molly were two. Ron was another even he thought someone had lied to Harry about Ginny or Harry lied about Ginny to get out of being married.

When Tim placed the two woman in their seats, with their arms and legs shackled to the chairs, only then did Harry put his documents down. He didn't look around, he just stared at the members of the panel.

'This room is sealed and the wards are active. It means that anyone that speaks will only speak the truth. We'll start with Mrs Ginevra Potter. You have been accused, by your husband, Mr Harry Potter, of infidelity. Normally that would not be cause you to appear before us. All Mr Potter would need is to prove that you were unfaithful for the divorce to be approved, which he has done. What is illegal is that Mr Potter accused you of having a sexual relationship with another female, Miss Anna Taylor.'

There was so much shouting that it was hard to hear what any one individual said. Harry did pick up on some, like Hermione asking him to drop it as it was a law she hoped to have abolished. He heard Ron saying he was lying, even Molly accused him of lying. They might have been told by Hermione but they didn't want to believe Ginny would do this.

Everyone in the room was silenced by the aurors, 'Now we will show proof.'

The female member of the panel poured the memory into the pensieve and projected it into the air. Everyone saw Ginny and Anna, naked in bed and saw what they were doing and everyone heard what they saying.

'This memory has been seen and checked for tampering, it was clean. The memory is the true memory and one supplied by Mr Harry Potter, who caught his now ex-wife with Miss Taylor. Do either of you have anything to say before we give our verdict.'

'It shouldn't be illegal, not when you love someone,' Anna said as tears began to fall down her face.

'There's nothing to say when you saw the truth for yourselves,' Ginny said in a resigned voice, 'Just make us outcasts, which is what is expected.'

It was right then that Harry made up his mind on what he was going to say.

'Then you are both guilty of performing lewd acts with a person of the same gender. No matter what the outcome will be, both of your wands will be snapped. As is custom, we ask the ex-husband what punishment they should receive. Mr Potter.'

Harry handed a piece of parchment to his boss, then nodded to him, who took the form up to the panel. Harry and Tim watched them read before one of them cast a silencing charm around everyone so they could not hear anything.

'This is your decision Mr Potter?'

'Yes, if she agrees then that's her punishment. If she doesn't, then it's Azkaban.'

'Very well,' one of the panel removed the charm from Ginny, 'Your ex-husband has a condition. Yes, you will be outcast if you make an unbreakable vow to never be in contact with anyone from the wizarding world, ever again. If anyone from this world moves to live and work in the muggle world, then you can see them. If you are caught interacting in any way with someone from this world, it will be an automatic sentence in Azkaban. If you don't agree to the unbreakable vow, you'll be sent to Azkaban for twenty five years.'

'But my family,' Ginny said staring in shock at Harry.

'It's that or Azkaban. You choose,' Harry said.

Ginny glared then turned to Anna who nodded. Ginny then turned to her family. She could tell Ron hated her and her parents looked disappointed. She didn't have anything to lose.

'I'll take the vow.'

Tim unshackled one of Ginny's arms then the older member of the panel joined hands with her. Tim was the one who would speak with the vow.

Harry just stared ahead but he could see out of the corner of his eye that everyone was watching Ginny make an unbreakable vow. The moment the vow was done the panel removed the charms.

'Miss Weasley was given a choice. Banished from this world with the unbreakable vow that she will never interact in any way with anyone from the wizarding world. Her other choice was twenty five years in Azkaban. If anyone from this world contacts miss Weasley, they will do from five years in Azkaban. Miss Anna Taylor, you have the same choice. The unbreakable vow or Azkaban?'

'Unbreakable vow.'

Again Tim was the one to speak with vow. Once that was done, both woman were lead out of a side door. They were told to pack up their belongings and be gone in the hour. He would be taking their to their homes and making sure they left.

Tim bent down to Harry and slipped him a key, 'It will take you straight back to the auror office. Once you step outside these doors, activate it. Four of the others are going with you.'

Harry along with four other aurors walked out the door and instantly activated their portkeys. They disappeared just as Hermione ran out of the door. Molly was shouting at Tim trying to tell him to make Harry change his mind. Arthur just sagged in his seat and Ron was angry. He had been glaring at his sister. He accused his best friend of lying just for his sister to be the one that was doing something wrong and illegal. She had also been lying to all of them for years.

'Expect visitors,' Harry said the moment they arrived in the office.

'Wands ready. I saw the look on Mrs Weasley's face,' Megan said.

'I noticed Hermione looked confused at first, then angry, at Harry,' Susan said.

'I knew she would support Ginny.'

Right then the door was slammed opened, the aurors cast shield charms before someone petrified Molly and Hermione. Kingsley walked past them then stood in front of them, his wand pointed at them, just like the aurors were doing.

'I'm saying this once. Ginny broke the law and going on the law, she got what she deserved. She had a choice, she chose. She could have been sent to Azkaban for twenty five years. Molly, I will release you and you will head straight home with this one and only warning. If you cause trouble for Harry or any of the aurors, then you will be taking your daughter's place in Azkaban,' Kingsley released the woman, 'Leave now.'

'You could have just banished her,' molly said.

'just for her to live with that woman and you supporting her, never,' Harry said before he turned and walked to his desk, 'She used me so no one will ever find out what she was doing. Now she will pay for her crimes.'

'Leave Molly, now,' Kingsley said. The moment Molly slumped and walked away, Kingsley turned to Hermione, 'We heard what you said and you heard what Harry said. It was his right and he was doing his job, as an auror. This warning will be your only one, cause trouble for Harry or any of the aurors and you will lose your job and you could be arrested. I would suggest you head back to your office,' Kingsley released her from the spell.

'I was hoping you would support me in abolishing this disgusting law Harry.'

'Never, my two votes will make sure this law stays. If you continue to fight this then I will say you will never have my votes again. She broke the law and it's one I agree with so leave Hermione. I don't want to talk about this anymore.'

Hermione went to say more but she noticed the minister along with the other aurors had pointed their wands at her. She huffed then turned and left the auror office.

'Hopefully that will be the end of this,' Kingsley said before facing Harry, 'Apart from the fact she used you and I know this must hurt mate, why the unbreakable vow?'

'For using me but I knew if she was a straight banished, it meant no punishment. She must have had plans with that woman to live in the muggle world in case anyone ever found out. I could see it on her face that she would finally get what she wanted. She would have her parents visit, maybe they would help her by giving her money to live on. She also basically stole from me since she never really wanted to be married to me but she did use my money. This way she is fully banished from this world and can't see anyone from this world. She deserved some punishment, I just didn't think it should be Azkaban. What she did to me in legally a crime but apart from being emotional hurt, I'm not hurt in any way. Azkaban should be only for those that commit real crimes. Anyway, it's done, over with and I'm now single again.'

'It'll be all over the papers from tomorrow, expect a lot of mail from woman, just like you got before you married.'

'They will be turned down. Right now it's too soon to even think of dating. I work and spend time with my godson along with friends,' Harry faced everyone, 'Do any of you think like Hermione? I won't hold it against you if you do, I would just like to know.'

'I'm against it and I will always follow the law, when it's for everyone and when it's voted on, fairly,' Susan said.

'I'm the same. We're aurors, we know the law, we study it. If we didn't agree with the law, we should not be aurors,' Megan said.

'Same, if I didn't think it was wrong I wouldn't be an auror,'Ernie said.

'I never really thought about it, all I do know is it's against the law. I'm an auror so I uphold the law,' Dennis said.

'It is illegal, so whether we agree or not, we have to follow the law. Hermione was raised in the muggle world and all her family are muggles so for all we know she's been around couples of the same gender. Some of the laws she's been working on would make us more like muggles. She has to understand that we are two separate worlds that just happen to occupy the same country. She will never advance if she keeps trying to turn us into muggles by following muggle law,' Kingsley said, 'I doubt you'll get any more angry visitors, just be vigilant, in case I'm wrong. I'll head back to my office, you're in charge Harry until Tim returns.'

'Thanks minister,' Harry said then sat at his desk, 'I wasn't sure about Ron, especially when he called me a liar. But I saw his face after the memory played. He realised I was telling the truth and he looked angry at his sister. Anyway, I want to put this behind me now.'

'Then we might as well get to work,' Susan said. She went to her desk and lowered he head. She couldn't help smiling. She had feelings for Harry for years but he was married so she just acted like she wasn't ready to date. Now she would approach Harry, not yet, in a few months. She would start off asking him to dinner but as friends and she just hoped it could progress from there.

Tim sent a message to Harry about Ginny's belongings since she couldn't get into the house. Harry replied and said to give him ten minutes and her bags will be outside the house.

Harry put Susan in charge while he left. He had to quickly go to his parents home. He changed the portkey from the Burrow to out side Grimmauld place. Normally he would need Tim to approve it, but since he gave Harry the portkey, he didn't think Tim would mind that Harry changed the destination. Once Ginny's belongings disappeared, Harry went back to work.

It was only twenty minutes later that Tim arrived back, 'It's done.'

'Thanks boss.'

'Let's get back to work.'

'Um, before you do, can I talk to you Harry, in private?' Ron asked.

Harry nodded and gestured for the conference room.

'I'm sorry mate. I instantly called you a liar before I knew what was going on.'

'She's your sister Ron, I expected it. Family is important and it's different than just friends. I might have been your brother-in-law, but it is still different. Let's just forget about it okay?'

'Thanks mate but I am really sorry for accusing you before I knew all the facts. Mum and dad hate this, I mean her being like that but they hoped they could still see her, just in the muggle world.'

'Yeah but to me, it's not punishment. Your parents or even Hermione could have gone to see her and give her money. It's a crime in the wizarding world. She deserved something more than just being banished.'

'I agree, but I am please she wasn't sent to Azkaban.'

'Like I said to Kingsley earlier, Azkaban is for real criminals who do real crimes, crimes against people. I'm only emotionally hurt, not physically hurt. She didn't deserve Azkaban. You heard Hermione though.'

'She's for this, I can't believe it. She won't get any support to make this legal, not from anyone in the ministry nor from anyone in the family. I really can't believe my sister did that.'

'No, I was shocked when I found them together. As you heard, she only dated me so no one would realise the truth and she picked me because we're friends.'

'I heard, she basically used you. Anyway, I better get ready to deal with my wife when she gets home.'

'She wanted me to use my votes to support making this legal. I told her I was against it and would use my votes to make sure it stays illegal. She was furious when she left, so expect some yelling.'

Harry walked Ron out before he got back to work. He knew he would hear from Ron tomorrow about the fight he will have with Hermione the moment he got home.

Harry knocked on his boss's door, 'I wanted to ask you this. Azkaban, prison. Isn't there any way we could have another jail built for lesser crimes, like theft, or what she did?'

'It's not a bad idea, I'll mention it to Kingsley during our next meeting. I know the threat of Azkaban makes people more cautious but we know that some will just do the crime. If we could get another built, it would still be a jail for those prisoners, just not one with dementors. I'll let you know.'

'Thanks boss,' Harry went back to his desk. He didn't know that Susan had been pretending to go through the file cabinet just to listen in on what Harry was talking to their boss about. Once she heard, she realised this could be the idea that she could use to get Harry alone.

Harry did hear from Ron the following day but he was shocked when he read the letter from his friend. Ron left Hermione and returned home. None of the Weasley's wanted the law changed so they were not going to support Hermione. Even though they wished they could see Ginny, they still hated that she was like that. Hermione thought some of the Weasley's would support her, like Molly, Fleur, George and maybe Bill. None did. Harry knew that Hermione was very cool towards Fleur so there was no way she would support Hermione whether she was against it or not. Fleur had enough of the way Hermione acted towards her. Hermione just didn't see that she was turning people off her. Now she's finding out how little support she really had.

Hermione also found out that the people she worked with were against it, so she wasn't getting any support from them. She realised she had no support at all but she also lost her husband and many friends. A few different people that worked in the same department accused Hermione of trying to turn them all into muggles, which was why she would have trouble changing many laws. The only reason some of her idea's had been changed was because those laws only supported pure-bloods. Hermione realised she would need to change or she may just have to return to the muggle world.

Harry began to get piles of letters, delivered to his home and to the auror office. He would give each letter a glance and if they were from woman asking him to date them or marry them, some even said they would have his children. He just threw them straight in the bin. He did answer friends and the ones that just say they were sorry for what he was going through, he sent a quick thank you note.

Harry told Tim that he would do any of the night shifts or weekends since he really didn't have anything to go home too. He did ask if that could be changed later one, if he ended up meeting someone else. Tim agreed, it would give Harry time and also some privacy as the ministry was almost empty of a night. Harry was already a good auror, now he would basically be in charge of anything happening of a night time.

Tim had filled his aurors in on their change of duties, at least for now. It was only the next day that Susan spoke with her boss to give her the night and weekend shifts. She said since she didn't really have anything to do or any family, she might as well work. She could shop or visit places during the afternoon when she was awake. She explained that since her closest friends worked and were married, and some had kids, they didn't get to see each other very often so she was usually home alone. This way, she could do her duty but allow the ones that were married to spend their evenings and weekends with their families. That was one of the ways she hoped she would get closer to Harry and hoped he ended up with feelings for her. She still planned to speak with him about her thoughts of another jail. Now at least she would get to spend time with Harry with no one else around.

It was only a few days later that Harry and Susan had their first weekend night shift. They just finished taking drunk people to the holding cells when Harry noticed Susan seemed to be deep in thought.

'Something on your mind Susan?'

'Yeah, I've thought of this before but after what happened with Ginny, I began to think about it again,' Susan stood up and sat opposite Harry at his desk, 'I think our world needs another prison, one for crimes like those idiots we just arrested. I remember you and Ron telling us about Mundungus Fletcher. He was a thief but he never hurt anyone or killed anyone. He's gone to Azkaban for stealing yet I believe Azkaban should be kept for dangerous criminals, like death eaters or any dark witch or wizard.'

'I believe the same and I mentioned this to Tim. He was going to speak with the minister about it. It could come down to money though. Even though the minister confiscated the death eater vaults, a lot had to be spent. Repairing Hogwarts, along with Diagon alley and the ministry. So much had to be replaced at Hogwarts that would have taken a lot. Also, people that suffered because their homes were destroyed, the minister made sure they were compensated.'

'Maybe we could speak with people to see if they might donate. I mean I would be willing since I have all that money that I'll never use, even if I lived twenty lives, I wouldn't use it all.'

'It's an idea and it would come down to the individual. I could also donate some of the money Sirius left me. How about we work on speaking with Tim about it, he can then take it to the minister.'

'Then we'll speak with him in the morning.'

Susan couldn't help smiling as she worked with Harry on some financial support to get another prison built.

'Let's give it a couple of days. I remember something from my muggle school days. There are many old prisons in Great Britain that haven't been used for a very long time. Maybe one of them could be used. It might need repairs and wards but it would end up costing a lot less if the buildings were already there.'

'That's a great idea Harry. So how will you find out if any are suitable?'

'It's easy, a bit of computer research at the muggle public library will give me all the information I need.'

'I do know about them I just have no idea how they work. But with this, it could mean more jobs for people, as prison guards. Being a prison for non violent offenders, then it could have normal guards.'

'Not bad Susan. Alright, I'll do research in the muggle world on these prisons, maybe you could find out about what type of wards the prison would need.'

'No problem, so we'll give ourselves until Friday, then speak with Tim.'

'Sounds good to me,' Harry said with a smile. Susan also smiled before she went back to her desk. She couldn't help feeling excited. She was going to be working with Harry which could lead them to spending time alone. Susan just hoped if they could keep spending time alone, Harry might come to feel more for her than just a friend and work colleague.

Over the next few nights, Harry and Susan still did their jobs as aurors but they were putting together a proposal for all the information they had found on making another prison for non violent criminals.

Harry and Susan smiled at each other as their boss and the other aurors arrived at the office.

'Boss, could Susan and I have some time before we leave?'

'Sure, come into the office.'

Susan and Harry followed their boss into the office. They waited for him to sit before Harry handed him a file, then he sat next to Susan.

Harry and Susan watched Tim read through the file. They actually saw a small smile at one time.

'So this Whitecross street prison, London, has been closed and abandoned?'

'There are many but some are visited or in places that would be difficult. This one is just sitting there. I figured if the minister agreed, he might be able to work it with the muggle prime minister. There would be too many muggles who know about this place so obliviation would not work.'

'We thought if it was approved by our minister and theirs, he might be willing to let everyone believe that it had to be destroyed due to safety reasons,' Susan said.

'You've both done a lot of work on this and from what I've read, this could just work. Alright, I'll take this to Kingsley but he will probably want to speak with both of you about all this. After you mentioned it Harry, I did a lot of thinking and it made sense. We do need another prison. If we had the buildings then it wouldn't need much to get it up and running.'

'It will need some work but with magic, it could be fixed within a few days, at most.'

'Yes, which having the building first means we could have prisoners in there within a few months. It will just need warding and those wards you researched Susan could easily be done to stop anyone escaping, including animagus,' Tim said making Harry laugh. Everyone knew about Sirius black, Harry's godfather and how he used his animagus form to escape Azkaban.

Every night when Harry and Susan were on duty, Susan would bring them in a proper dinner. Susan kept saying that she didn't want to live on snacks or just sandwiches. She enjoyed cooking so putting together some proper meals for her and Harry to have while they worked night shift would benefit both of them. It also gave Susan more opportunity to show Harry just who she was, apart from an auror.

It was two weeks later that Susan and Harry were asked to go to the minister's office. As both of them were shown in and asked to sit, Kingsley couldn't stop smiling.

'You two are brilliant. I've had people checking out the place over the last week. They believe that it can be repaired and warded within two weeks and then another couple of weeks to get it outfitted with everything it needs. One thing I will say, we don't need your money. There is still plenty left from the death eater vaults. So even after supplying everything it will need and get the staff, there will be plenty in the budget to have another prison.'

'That means you're going to speak with the muggle prime minister,' Harry said.

'I've already spoken with him. He's agreed to make everyone believe it had to be destroyed. His release will go out after we've warded it so if any muggles turn up, they will just see an empty property then feel the need to leave. I know why Harry thought of this, especially after we spoke that day. But how did you come up with this Susan?'

'Because of what...Harry's ex wife did then I remembered Harry telling me about Mundungus Fletcher. That first night that we had first night shift, we brought in two who were drunk but one of them has a habit of causing damage when he drinks. It's the same, they need to do some time in jail just not Azkaban.'

'You're right. So now, thanks to you two and the work you've already done, that's about to happen. We're going to change the name, we'll work on that later.'

'Um, I have a suggestion, you don't have to go with it, I just figured I would mention it,' Harry said with a smirk.

Kingsley saw the look on Harry's face and it made him really curious.

It took just over five weeks before the minister for magic officially opened the brand new prison for non violent offenders.

The Salic Krubis prison had fifty seven prisoners transferred from Azkaban or the holding cells at the ministry.

So far, only a handful of people knew what the name Salic Krubis meant. The moment Tim heard the name, he understood that Salic Krubis was an anagram of Sirius Black. He ended up laughing so hard that all the aurors wondered what was so funny.

Harry explained more about his godfather and he would think this was the greatest prank to pull on the wizarding world. Naming a prison after Sirius, who was the only person to ever successfully escape from Azkaban. He might have been innocent but he still escaped and now he had a prison named after him.

After another long night, which was quiet and a bit boring, Harry and Susan left ready to head home. Harry stopped by the fireplaces and asked Susan if she would like to go to breakfast with him. She grinned as she nodded.

By the time they returned to work that evening, Harry and Susan were officially a couple.

Susan never thought she would get Harry. First he had been married to Ginny. She had decided to just dedicate her time to her work and maybe in a few years, when her feelings for Harry faded, she would find someone else. Her feelings for Harry only got stronger until luck ended up on her side. Ginny broke the law and was gone from Harry's life. Now after only two months, she finally had Harry. They might have only had one official date and one romp in bed but Susan could just tell that they would end up with a long life together. Susan finally got the man she loved just because one woman did the wrong thing by Harry and she broke the law.

As Harry stared over at his now girlfriend, he couldn't help smiling. It was a spur of the moment thing that had Harry asking Susan to join him for breakfast. They had spent a lot of time together, especially over the last few weeks and he had begun to develop feelings for her. Now they were officially dating. As Harry stared over at Susan, he could see that very soon, she would be his wife, one that loved him for him. Susan would not want his reputation, she would not need his money. She did not care that he was the-boy-who-lived or the saviour of the wizarding world. She wanted Harry, the man and that's what she was going to get.

The end:
