Blood Of The Enemy:
The pain Harry Potter was feeling in his scar was blinding. He had no idea what was happening. All he did know was that Cedric was dead and he knew Peter Pettigrew was the one to kill him. The pain began the moment he landed in the graveyard and it was so painful, he hadn't been able to hear anything. He only knew Peter killed Cedric as he saw it. His vision ended up blurred, he had lost his glasses and blood began to run down his face, from his scar. It had bled before so it didn't really surprise him.
When the pain began to ease, he could finally concentrate and open his eyes. The first thing he realised was he was tied to some big tombstone. The second thing he realised was that Peter was doing something with a huge cauldron. He saw the man place a bunch of rags in the cauldron before he began some type of ritual. Bone of the father, Harry figured that the tombstone he was tied to must be Peter's father unless it had something to do with Voldemort. From what Dumbledore and Sirius had told him, the night Peter escaped he would have tried to find Voldemort. Harry realised that this ritual might be about Voldemort and not Peter. But really, he had no idea who the ritual was for. There was no proof that Peter went to Voldemort, just Dumbledore's guess.
Harry was then shocked when Peter said flesh of the servant and cut off his own hand. It splashed as the hand fell into the cauldron. It was right then that Harry did know it was about Voldemort since Peter said flesh of the servant and Peter was a death eater so he was a servant of Voldemort. Then Peter came towards him with a knife. He said blood of the enemy and Peter cut into Harry's arm.
Harry was in pain but now he was confused. He watched as Peter dropped his blood into the cauldron. But he thought one thing, he didn't think of Voldemort as his enemy, at least he didn't right now.
'But he's not my enemy,' Harry said in a whisper as he watched Peter finish dropping his blood into the cauldron. He liked to have proof of something before he believed it. So far, he hadn't seen actually proof that Voldemort was his enemy.
When Harry's first year at Hogwarts was over, he had done a lot of thinking. He realised he had been lied to by many and mislead by some as well. It was during those summer holidays that he made the decision to not believe anyone, not until he got proof. He had been brought up to believe his parents were drunks, drug addicts and didn't work. He heard Hagrid say that his parents were great people. Snape kept telling him that he was arrogant like his father. Sirius had written him letters and wrote things like what he got up to with Harry's father when they were students. They liked to prank people, especially the Slytherin's. To Harry, Sirius and his father sounded like bullies, so again he couldn't trust what anyone was saying. Harry didn't know his parents, yet he couldn't get any type of information about what they were really like. He had asked a few adults about them and always got the same answer. That was the past, you need to put that to rest and concentrate on the future. He couldn't get any type of proof about what his parents were like, so he had no idea if they were good or bad. He wasn't going to take anyone's word, not anymore. It was the same with Voldemort. He didn't believe anything he had heard about the man until he saw proof.
Harry kept hearing that Voldemort killed his parents and would return one day and Voldemort was a dark wizard. Harry didn't think magic should be separated into dark and light. It was all magic, it was the intent behind the spell that is used that could make someone a good person or a bad person. Some of the spells he had learned over the last few years could easily be used to hurt someone, or even kill someone. Voldemort may be a bad person, but again, he needed proof before he would believe anything. That was the reason why Harry didn't think of Voldemort as his enemy, at least he didn't right now. He was waiting for proof.
Even though Dumbledore said that it was Voldemort who was possessing Quirrell, Harry still wasn't given proof except what he heard. He saw the face but he still had no idea who it was. It was Dumbledore's word on who it was, that wasn't proof. Harry hadn't trusted Dumbledore since he began at Hogwarts, so he was not going to take his word on anything as proof. Because of all the danger he had found himself in at hogwarts and how it was Dumbledore who left him with the Dursley's, Harry knew Albus Dumbledore was his enemy.
With Peter Pettigrew, he heard what Sirius and Remus said in the shrieking shake but again that was just two people telling him something without proof. He needed proof first before he could decide anything or believe anything.
He knew Snape was his enemy, he had seen with his own eyes that man did hate him. Harry had also seen as he stared into Snape's mean eyes that told him if the man could get away with it, he would hurt or even kill Harry.
Harry had no idea why the man didn't like him, but it was what Snape said and the way he looked at him that gave Harry the proof about that man. He had stopped worrying about it, for now.
Harry also knew Draco Malfoy was a bad person, he had tried to hex Harry many times. He thought of Draco as an enemy. Harry also knew Lucius Malfoy was a bad person since he gave Ginny the diary which opened the chamber of secrets and released a basilisk. That big snake could have killed half the people inside Hogwarts. Lucius Malfoy also tried to kill him, so he was definitely a bad person and an enemy of Harry's.
Ron Weasley was also someone that Harry found to be a person he would never trust. He had lied to Harry not long after they met and he had found out that he had lied to Harry often. He had also said some terrible things about Harry to others, when Harry wasn't around.
Harry found proof of what Ron said and the lies he had told him, so he knew Ron was not really a friend or a good person. He had begun to distance himself from Ron. He refuse to play chess with him and he often sat with Neville or Hermione in classes instead of Ron. He also made sure to be seen reading his class books or doing his homework so Ron would know he was busy. When Harry thought of the lies Ron had said about him, he knew right then that Ron was also his enemy.
Harry knew Dumbledore was a bad person, yet he acts like a good person. When Harry asked if he could stay anywhere but with the Dursley's at the end of his first year at Hogwarts, Dumbledore said Harry had to remain there for his safety. He explained a little about wards, which Harry knew couldn't work. Dumbledore said as long as Harry called number four Privet drive, home, he would always be safe. Harry was about five years old when he first thought that it wasn't his home, then said that the Dursley's place was not his home and the Dursley's was not his family. Now that Harry was thinking about it again, he realised he had no reason to remain at Privet Drive. He would get a room at the Leaky Cauldron until he could work out where he could stay. It wouldn't be with the Weasley's or the Dursley's. He smiled, because he knew he wasn't returning to the Dursley's. He might be in pain and still confused about what was going on and what Peter was doing with the cauldron but it couldn't stop him smiling at the thought he would never see the Dursley's again.
There was a loud scream and when Harry turned his head towards the cauldron, he was shocked again when a person went to stand up from inside the cauldron, began to scream then he just seem to explode and the cauldron had to burst into flames. A few seconds later, the cauldron exploded. Harry thought he was lucky that he wasn't very close or he could have been killed by the shrapnel the cauldron made.
Harry had caught a quick glimpse of the person who was about to come out of the cauldron. The person didn't resemble a person but he also couldn't describe what he looked like. Before he could concentrate on that, Peter screamed, then he collapsed. Harry heard a weird noise and when he turned his head the other way, he saw a large snake. It was thrashing about and making their weird noises, before it went still.
'What in the name of merlin was going on?' Harry stared at Peter and at his chest. It wasn't moving, which told him that Peter was dead. He could tell the snake was dead and assumed the thing that had been in the cauldron was also dead, since it exploded into nothing.
After a few minutes of watching Peter and the snake, he looked around, 'Well, there dead and no one is here. I'm stilled tied to this and my arm is still bleeding,' Harry wondered how he was going to get free and also how he would get back to Hogwarts.
Harry didn't realise it but Dumbledore, the minister and many of the staff of Hogwarts were wondering what was going on. First, they knew one of the champions had touched the cup. The triwizard cup was supposed to bring the person who touched it to judges table and be declared the winner. The person had touched it nearly twenty minutes ago, but there was no sign of the champion that won the triwizard tournament. But there was more going on at Hogwarts, Alastor Moody had screamed before he dropped dead. The same thing happened to Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. What Albus didn't know was the same thing happened to Snape, Draco and Ron, who were all inside the castle alone, instead of watching the tournament. Those three had died yet no one saw it as they had returned to the castle not long after the last task began.
Dumbledore had Hagrid and Minerva enter the maze to find out what was going on with the champions while he and the minister tried to figure out what happened to Alastor, Lucius and Narcissa.
It took only half an hour before Minerva levitated Fleur and Viktor out of the maze, both were hurt and unconscious.
'There is no sign of Diggory or Potter but the cup is gone. I did reveal that a portkey was activated so we know it worked, it just didn't bring the winner here,' Minerva said.
'The cup must of malfunctioned,' Cornelius said, 'Yet we know Albus would not have made a mistake.'
'I had Alastor place the cup in the maze and cast the portus charm. As an auror, or ex-auror, he knows how and is authorised.'
'Then maybe Moody made a mistake. We must find the boys,' Cornelius said.
'I believe we should send for the aurors, just in case Cornelius. They will need to investigate what happened to the Malfoy's and Alastor. They will also be able to follow the portkey, but only if they do it quickly.' Albus said.
Cornelius nodded, then had his junior assistant, Percy Weasley go directly to the ministry and the auror office.
Harry didn't realise that he had fallen asleep, until he heard shouting. He opened his eyes, it was dark but he saw a bunch of people in blue robes running towards him.
'Potter's hurt, he needs to go straight to St Mungo's,' Amelia said to one of the aurors.
A man approached Harry Potter, 'Hold still son, I'll get you untied then you will be going to see a healer.'
'Can someone finally see that my godfather, Sirius Black is innocent. I mean we told the minister that Peter Pettigrew was alive and he admitted to betraying my parents, not Sirius,' Harry said weakly.
'I'm sure Madam Bones will investigate. Let's just get you to a healer,' Tim said.
By the time the auror got Harry to St Mungo's, he had passed out again from loss of blood. Healers rushed to the-boy-who-lived. Tim stayed with the boy while he was being treated.
'Do you know how he received any of these injuries, Auror Proudfoot?'
'I don't know for a fact sir, but most I would say they were done during the last task of the triwizard tournament. The one on his arm was done at the graveyard, where we found him. We could tell the injury was fresh. He had been tied to a tombstone and a bloodied knife was found near a man not far from Mr Potter. The aurors are there now, investigating.'
'How did he end up in a graveyard if he was competing in the triwizard tournament?'
'The winner was supposed to touch the triwizard cup, which had been charmed with the portus charm. It would bring the winner to the judges table. The charm did activate but at the moment, all we know is that it malfunctioned. There were three deaths at Hogwarts and one was the person who place the triwizard cup in the maze and did the charm. We believe something foul is going on, we just don't know yet what that is. The rest of the aurors are investigating Hogwarts and the graveyard. Is the boy alright?'
'He will be, he lost a lot of blood so he will be weak for a while. He will be remaining here for a few days. I know you will need to question him but it will have to wait until the morning. I've given him a dreamless sleep potion that will keep him out until morning.'
'I will notify Madam Bones but she already wants guards placed at his room.'
The healer nodded. He understood as he knew reporters or dark wizards might want to get to the-boy-who-lived. They had to keep the boy safe. He had Harry transferred to a private room where he was placed in the bed. The auror stayed outside the door. He had used his patronus charm to send a message to his boss.
Amelia Bones had returned to Hogwarts with the body of Cedric Diggory. She left the rest of the aurors at the graveyard to continue to investigate.
'I was informed by my auror that Mr Potter explained to you that Peter Pettigrew was alive and he admitted to betraying the Potter family, Minister. You will be charge for interfering in a criminal case and not notifying my department about this information. I does not matter if you believe the boy or not, it is not up to the minister to determine if someone is telling the truth or not about a crime and a criminal. We just found Peter Pettigrew's body near Potter and we have determined he was alive only a could of hours ago. That man is responsible for what had happened to Mr Potter and Mr Diggory. For all we know, he is responsible for what has happened here. Another thing, Mr Potter told my auror that Sirius Black was innocent and he informed you, so again, there will be more charges. Right now, I have declared Sirius Black innocent of all charges but he will be questioned using veritaserum so we will get the truth to all of it.'
'I was informed by a friend who knew Black that he was guilty. My friend said he was told by someone that Black was seen at a death eater meeting.'
'I checked Sirius for the dark mark, he did not have one. I also questioned him using veritaserum, Cornelius. He is completely innocent. I tried to tell you this but you refuse to listen,' Albus said.
'Tell me the name of this friend Cornelius or you will be facing more charges.'
Cornelius realised how much trouble he was in, 'Lucius Malfoy. As you know, his wife is the cousin to Sirius Black and she explained to her husband that Sirius was always dark.'
'That is untrue. He was part of the Order of the Phoenix and worked beside me for many years. He is also Harry Potter's godfather and proved how much he loved the boy. He was here at Hogwarts because he knew Peter was here, near his godson.' Albus said.
'I have always known that Lucius was a death eater and I believe he was using his wife's relationship to Sirius so he could take control of the Black fortune.' Amelia said.
Amelia knew Cornelius was easily influenced, especially when it came to someone that was rich like Lucius Malfoy was. She also had a feeling that Lucius often paid Cornelius when he wanted something done or not done. She doubted she would get proof but for now she had Cornelius and if she played it right, he would either be gone as minister or he would finally do what was right for their world and not just listen to people who supported pure bloods. It was time to make everyone realise that their world would die unless that integrated muggleborns into their society. Their numbers were dropping and because of the discrimination against muggleborns, they were returning to the muggle world.
While her aurors were investigating the deaths of Alastor Moody, along with the two adult Malfoy's, Amelia decided to speak with her niece about Harry Potter. She wanted as much factual information as she could get.
Albus and Minerva had been speaking about what could have killed one of the professors. It was when they removed his flask that gave them the first surprise. It was not Alastor's alcohol concoction he always kept in his flask, it was polyjuice potion. That gave them the first clue as to what was going on and who entered Harry Potter in the triwizard tournament. Since the man died looking like Alastor Moody, they would not be able to find out who the mans true identity was. They also knew that since he was using polyjuice potion, it meant that the real Alastor Moody would need to be kept alive and he would need to be close. Albus instantly went to the defence against the dark arts classroom and the office at the back. He began to cast numerous spells that would tell him if there was a human somewhere in these rooms. The trunk in the corner lit up. Albus knew that Alastor always used a seven compartment trunk so he knew he had to open each one, close it before he could open the next. Alastor was bound to be in the last one. Alastor bought that trunk with the last compartment big enough to keep a prisoner. He used it often as an auror, until he could get the prisoner to the ministry.
Albus found Alastor Moody, alive but in a bad way. He got him up to the hospital before he went to speak with Amelia. He needed to explain what they found. He was sure Amelia would want to question Alastor when he woke.
Hermione was still upset that Harry refused to forgive Ron for believing Harry lied about entering the triwizard tournament. She still cared about him and wanted to know what was going on so she decided to speak with her head of house now that all the students had been confined to the castle while the aurors were investigating. Fred and George had found out that Harry and Cedric had been taken by a portkey somewhere and that Fleur and Viktor had been found inside the maze, unconscious. That's all they had been able to find out, so far.
Hermione ended up returning to Gryffindor tower when she failed to find Professor McGonagall. She saw the twins and headed straight for them.
'Have you heard anything?'
'Yes, Diggory's dead and Harry was taken to St Mungo's,' Fred said.
'He's going to be okay but he hasn't been questioned yet as he is unconscious,' George said.
'We also heard that Mad-eye Moody...' Fred began.
'Wasn't the real Mad-eye. He's in the hospital now,' George said.
'The one that died had polyjuice potion in his flask,' Fred said.
'When someone dies while using the potion, they stay remaining looking like that person,' Lee said.
'Forget Moody, what happened to Harry and Cedric?'
'We don't know,' Fred said.
'We can't get that information,' George said.
'Only that Harry will be fine,' Fred said.
'And Diggory is dead,' George said.
'We don't even know how he died and if it had anything to do with the tournament,' Lee said.
'I went to speak with Professor McGonagall, but I couldn't find her,' Hermione sat down, 'So this fake Mad-eye must be the one to enter Harry in the tournament, which means he was working for you-know-who. If they wanted him dead, he could have killed Harry anytime this year. Also, there were a few times when Moody spoke to Harry alone. He could have killed him then. He didn't, so what was all this for?'
'Your guess is as good as ours Hermione,' Lee said.
'Our belief is that they wanted Harry,' Fred began.
'For some reason, maybe to help him return or possess Harry,' George said.
'He did possess Quirrell so it's possible he wanted to do the same with Harry,' Hermione said.
'Do you know where Harry keeps the map?' Fred said.
'Yes, why?'
'We'd have a better chance at finding out more if we could see where everyone is,' George said.
'I do know he would not mind if you borrowed it since you did give it to him. But tell me, did he tell you who those names represent?'
'No,' Fred and George said together.
'Does he know?' Lee asked.
'Yes but all I can say right now is Prongs was James Potter. I've been sworn to secrecy about all this but I know Harry trusts you three. Just please keep that to yourselves. I'll go get the map.'
The twins and Lee watched Hermione head up to the boys dorms before the three of them grinned. They finally found out who one of the Marauders were. They had given Harry the Marauders map because they felt sorry for him. Now they found out that the map actually belonged to Harry, as the son of one of the Marauders.
Albus had gone to find Severus after he spoke with Amelia about Alastor. He found Severus dead but he also found Draco Malfoy, who was also dead. He knew then that the deaths were all connected to Voldemort and the dark mark. What he couldn't figure out was why Severus, Lucius and Narcissa died if Voldemort returned. He also couldn't figure out why Draco died. He was only a baby before Voldemort disappeared. If it was connected to the dark mark than Albus could only guess that Draco died because he was a child of two death eaters. Then he realised that couldn't be right because he had seen other students who had parents who were death eaters. Peter was dead along with the impostor, who he believed was a death eater. Albus did not want to hope that Voldemort somehow made a mistake in whatever ritual he planned to use to return to a body. Only Peter and a dead snake was found near Cedric and Harry. There was no other body or parts of a body found. He had to forget about all that for now. He needed to speak with Amelia, again, about another couple of deaths. It did make him curious, did every person who had the dark mark die? Albus believed they did since Severus did.
Harry woke and even before he opened his eyes, he knew he was in the hospital and knowing Madam Pomfrey, she would keep him there for a couple of days.
Harry slowly opened his eyes and the first thing he noticed was, he could see perfectly and without his glasses. The second thing he noticed was he wasn't in the Hogwarts hospital so he knew he must be in St Mungo's hospital. His first thought about ending up in a hospital again, it was Dumbledore's fault.
'Every year I have almost died and the old man never prevented it or helped in any way. Dumbledore is also my enemy,' Harry growled. He thought about everything that he had gone through at Hogwarts and how much danger he had been in since he first arrived at Hogwarts. He also thought about how Dumbledore had made him stay with the Dursley's and it was him that put Harry with them in the first place. He had the thought many times that dumbledore was his enemy, this was the first time he actually said it. But Harry was sick of all the danger he kept finding himself in while at hogwarts.
It was only a minute later that an elderly man entered the room, 'Mr Potter, I'm healer Sterling. How are you feeling?'
'Oh, um, achy, all over. My arm stings and my head feels...weird. I mean my scar. It was pounding when I was tied to the tombstone, now it just feels strange.'
'Take this potion, it will help with the pain. I will then examine you.' He watched Harry take the potion then he began to move his wand over the boy's entire body, 'You're healing nicely, but you will be here for another few days. It seems your scar is healing which is why it feels strange. I can't tell you why it's healing now when it never did before.'
'At least it's healing. I hated people staring at it.'
'Yes, I'm sure you get that quite often. Now, are you up to speaking with the aurors?'
'Um, yeah, I just need the bathroom.'
'It's through that door there. I'll have an elf bring you some breakfast.'
'Just something light, like fruit. I couldn't eat anything heavy.'
Harry did what he had to and by the time he came out of the bathroom he saw two people, 'Um, hi.'
'Mr Potter, I'm Madam Bones, the head of the department of magical law enforcement. This is Auror Proudfoot. Let me tell you this first, Sirius Black has been cleared of all charges. I had another auror go speak with Remus Lupin so he could tell your godfather he needs to come in and sign his official release papers.'
'That's great, thanks ma'am.'
'You're welcome. If the minister had done his job, then Sirius should have been freed nearly two years ago. Now though, last night. I need you to explain what happened from the time you touched the triwizard cup. I will be using a recording crystal to take your statement. First, did you see who killed Cedric Diggory?'
'Yeah, it was Peter Pettigrew. He did it the moment we arrived in the graveyard.'
'Alright, now explain everything else. All you need to do is talk.'
'Um, okay,' Harry took a couple of deep breathes then began to tell the aurors exactly what happened from the time he entered the maze, 'I didn't get a real good look at the thing that came out of the cauldron before he exploded. Peter said bone of the father you will renew your son. I could see what looked like dust rise up from the ground under me and went into the cauldron. He then said flesh of the servant and he cut of his own hand so Peter had to be the servant. There was more he said before he cut off his hand but I can't remember. He then said blood of the enemy, you will revive your foe, revive or renew, something like that. Peter cut my arm and dripped my blood into the cauldron. As the thing begin to rise, it screamed then it just exploded. Peter ended up screaming before he died, then there was a big snake and I could tell it was in pain, before it died.'
'How long after that happened when my aurors turned up?'
'I don't know, I passed out or fell asleep but it was darker, like it was later.'
'You passed out due to loss of blood,' Auror Proudfoot said.
'We found you just after eleven last night. You disappeared from Hogwarts around nine o'clock.'
'I must have been out for a while then. From the time I was tied to the tombstone to when it exploded, was about twenty minutes to half an hour, no longer.'
'Healer Sterling said you lost a lot of blood. We are lucky that we found you before you bleed to death.'
'I knew something was going to happen, something always does. On Halloween and near the end of the school year, I usually face danger,' Harry sighed then rubbed his arm.
'Even though this is not official, I will say that I spoke with my niece. She told me what she had heard about the danger you've found yourself in. I will also be investigating those instances as well. Students should not have to face any danger. I also found out that since you were forced to compete in a tournament that was for of aged students, magic has declared you an adult. Naturally, you are not an adult but the trace has been removed from your wand and you will have rights over yourself. But you are still a child, or teenager.'
'Oh, okay,' Harry shrugged, 'So what happens now?'
'For you, heal then return to Hogwarts where you can finish your education. For us, we have a lot more to investigate about what happened to you and Mr Diggory, along with what happened at Hogwarts. We may know who killed Mr Diggory but we need to know the reasons for everything that happened. We will leave you to rest. I will tell you this, an auror guard will be outside this door. Because of who you are and how we know there are still some of Voldemort's supporters out there, I believe it would not be safe for you to be here alone.'
'Oh, okay, thanks.'
'I will speak with you sometime during the holidays about these dangerous situations you have faced at Hogwarts.'
'Okay,' Harry waited until Madam Bones and Auror Proudfoot left before he thought about what she said. She was investigating what happened at Hogwarts, 'What happened at Hogwarts?' Harry's brow furrow. He realised there was more to know but he would have to wait until he returned to Hogwarts.
Apart from healers and nurses, along with the people who brought patients food and the auror outside the door, they were the only people Harry had seen over the three days he was stuck in the hospital. The day he was due to be released, he got two surprise visitors. Sirius and Remus hurried into the room.
'Are you okay pup?'
'I'm fine, the healer said I'm completely healed now.'
'We would have been here sooner but there was so much going on and Remus didn't find me until yesterday. I had my cousin, Tonks take me to see Madam Bones, where I'm legally free.'
'Um, Madam Bones told me about that. She also said something about investigating what happened at Hogwarts. What did happen?'
'Some of this might come as a shock pup. Are you sure you want to hear it now?'
'Yes, best to know before I return to Hogwarts.'
'You're not returning. We've already taken your belongings to our new home. My uncle left me his country home. It needed a good clean but it's a great place and in good condition.'
'It was only a week and you would be leaving anyway. The healer thought it would be best if you still rested for a few days. You wouldn't get that at Hogwarts.'
'Great, I've been looking forward to leaving. Okay, I can wait until we get home to find out what is going on.'
At first, Sirius and Remus were surprised to hear Harry said he was looking forward to leaving. They realised that after he had been forced to compete in the tournament and how people believed he lied, they understood why he wants to leave.
Harry thanked the auror guard that was outside his door. He also thanked the staff before he left with Sirius and Remus. Sirius showed Harry to his room so he could settle in before they explained about the ones that died at Hogwarts.
'You don't seem upset about Ron,' Sirius said staring at his godson.
'I feel sorry for the Weasley family but I came to hate Ron. Apart from calling me a liar and telling me to piss off, I found out he was lying to others to make them believe I entered the tournament. Then I found out he's been telling people I have a hidden dark side and he's been saying that for a couple of years. He said he knew I plan to take over as the next dark lord. I finally told him to fuck off before I use that dark side on him. He realised I found out what he said. He tried to get Hermione to talk to me for him. I refused and told Hermione if she keeps bringing Ron up in conversation, then we're done as well. So you see, I really have no feelings about him dying, I just feel for the Weasley's. The Malfoy's are evil, so I don't really care that they are dead. Snape deserved a painful death as far as I'm concerned. I hate Dumbledore, but I didn't want him dead, I just wanted him to butt out of my life.'
'Wow Pup, I'm not sure what to say about all that. Normally, the only people that hate Dumbledore were death eaters.'
'He's made my life a misery, him and his pet death eater,' Harry growled, he then shook his head, 'Let's forget about that. Have they figured out why they died?'
'With Snape and the Malfoy's, they believe it was because of the dark mark. The thing that came out of the cauldron had to be Voldemort. They must have messed up the ritual which caused him to die along with anyone with the dark mark,' Remus said.
'We have no idea why the others died. I'm sure Madam Bones will figure it out.'
'She said she will need to speak with me during the holidays about all the dangerous things that happened to me at Hogwarts.'
'I'll send her an owl with our address on it. It's the holidays though, is there anywhere you want to go?'
'Well, I've never been anywhere,' Harry shrugged.
'Then we'll work on some places to visit.'
Harry did have a good time during the holidays. He loved the fact he could use magic whenever he liked. He did end up sneaking out of the house and went to Surrey. He gave the Dursley's a big scare but he also destroyed everything in the house. He didn't just destroy things like their televisions and Dudley's game consoles, he destroyed clothes, furniture, everything, including the car. He also ruined all the food that was in the house. He charmed the front grass with the words these people are abnormal freaks and made sure it would remain visible while Petunia and Dudley lived there. He had connected to his blood. Harry had laughed as he left, but he did warn the Dursley's that he would be keeping an eye on them.
He did speak to Madam Bones about everything he had gone through at Hogwarts. When she visited, Susan was with her as they were going out after they left.
Harry did receive letters from Hermione. After reading the first one, he never opened the others, just threw them in the fireplace and set them alight.
It was a couple of weeks before the students returned to Hogwarts for another school year, Harry went to find Sirius.
'Do you think you could begin to teach me how to apparate?'
'I could but you learn that during your sixth year at hogwarts.'
'I'm not returning to Hogwarts. I could teach myself but there is a chance I could splinch myself.'
'Why would you not want to go to Hogwarts?' Sirius asked sounding shocked.
'The danger is the main thing but none of the teachers ever helped with anything. Mcgonagall was just as bad as Dumbledore. When I did go to her to tell her about danger, she refused to believe us. She didn't do a thing about Snape or how the Slytherin's hurt others. So many times they threw stuff into our cauldron's or hex us when there were no teachers around. She never once listened to us or did anything. They always believed they could do anything because none of the staff ever did anything. Also, the last thing I want is more danger and she won't stop it since she never did before. I can use magic now, so I'll just self study.'
'Won't you get lonely?'
'No, I grew up alone. Also, I hate the dorm rooms. I can't sleep properly because of the noises from the other boys. So many nights I end up sleeping on the sofa in the common room. I won't have to waste money on stuff that is of no use. Look how many defence books and history books we've had to buy and they were all hopeless.'
'Alright, if that's what you want. You can use magic outside of Hogwarts. But what if you want a job where you need your newt's?'
'I'll never work for places like the ministry. I'm sure I can work something out for that but after I've learned what I need. I might keep flying and see if any of the teams would be interested. I wouldn't mind playing quidditch.'
'Yes, you could. You would start on the reserve team.'
'Yeah, which would give me more training and time to get better. Anyway, I was going to have a fly, want to join me?'
'I might later. Go enjoy yourself.'
Sirius watched his godson head outside. He couldn't believe Harry wasn't going to return to Hogwarts. He understood Harry was worried about the danger, especially after he was forced to compete in the triwzard tournament. He had heard what Harry had told Amelia Bones and Sirius knew most of that could be put at Albus Dumbledore's feat. One thing Harry said was true, with all that he went through, Minerva, nor any other teacher did anything to protect the students. Harry had been harassed yet none of the staff stepped in to stop it. Sirius was beginning to understand why his godson refused to return to hogwarts.
When the students returned to Hogwarts after the summer holidays, many were shocked when Harry Potter didn't turn up. Minerva instantly sent him a letter but sent one to his guardian as well. She hoped Sirius had an explanation as to why Harry didn't turn up.
The following day, the minister found out that Harry never arrived at Hogwarts. He had his secretary write to Harry and Sirius to find out why. His senior undersecretary actually gave him an idea, if Harry Potter refused to return to hogwarts.
Harry read the headmistress letter, he just threw it in the fireplace, something Sirius saw him do. He knew who the letter had been from as Minerva had wrote that in her letter to him, that she was sending a letter to Harry.
'They want an explanation pup.'
'Then you can write to her and tell her my reasons. I really don't want to have anything to do with her.'
Another owl flew inside and held it's leg out to sirius, 'It's from the ministry. There's one for you here as well.'
Harry sighed but took the letter addressed to him. The more he read, the angrier he got, 'I hope you will support me Sirius, but I'm outta here. It's time to get away from all these idiots.'
'I'm supporting you. They are trying to force you to return to Hogwarts, then I'm sure they will try to get you into the ministry. I do have a home in Greece, we can go there. If we like it, then we'll stay. If we don't, we keep moving around until we find a place we both like.'
'Greece looks nice in all the books I read about it.'
Harry and Sirius began to pack, but Harry had Dobby go empty his vaults. Sirius ordered Kreacher to empty the Black vaults as well. It was time they took what was there's and get out of Great Britain.
It took Harry and Sirius very little time to realise that Greece was going to be there home. They were able to work on becoming citizens, but they did duel citizenship in case they end up with better people at the ministry in England. Once they knew they were protected, Harry wrote to Luna and asked her if her father would publish his letter. Sirius wrote to the minister to he would know he made a huge mistake and must still be listening to the wrong people.
Harry's letter shocked everyone in England. Minerva did not believe she did anything wrong, neither did the minister. Both had tried to force their citizens home until they found out they had become citizens of their new country. The ministry in Greece did tell the English ministry that Harry Potter and Sirius Black were ready to drop their duel and become full citizens of Greece if they found out anyone from England was trying to force Harry to return to England or hogwarts. Harry had made a magical oath that he will never willing step foot into Hogwarts or the ministry in England. The Greek minister was able to give Harry and Sirius portkeys that will bring them into the Greek auror office if they end up kidnapped. That instantly made Harry feel better. They never told anyone about their emergency portkeys.
Because of what Fudge and his staff had tried to do by forcing Harry to return to Hogwarts, Sirius had a thought about something. He explained to Harry who instantly wanted to stop them, even if they weren't sure Fudge would go that far.
Harry and Sirius snuck back into England and went straight to Godric's Hollow. While they were waiting until it got dark, they went into the Potter house. They packed and shrunk everything and had Dobby take everything back to their new home. When it got late, Harry and Sirius removed James and Lily's coffins and took them back to Greece. Harry did leave a note on the headstone that only someone magical would see. If Fudge did try to force Harry back to England by taking his parent's bodies, he will find out that he was too late.
Harry did make sure to put a letter in all international newspapers and magazines about why he left Hogwarts and England. He went into details about all the danger he faced at Hogwarts. He made sure to write what the minister tried to do. He wanted the world to know that the minister was corrupt, but he also wanted it known that Hogwarts was a terrible school with rotten teachers. He also explained how the staff hadn't helped or just ignored it. Harry didn't hold back. He wanted the world to know the truth and now they did.
Harry loved his new country, so did Sirius. Both of them spent a lot of time swimming but Sirius did teach Harry everything he needed to know but also stuff most students were never taught. Remus would visit, a lot and bring them news. He would explain what he heard but he also bought copies of the Daily Prophet. Remus wanted Harry and Sirius to know exactly what was going on in England.
Fudge only last two months after Harry left England. He was voted out of office and his staff sacked. Minerva McGonagall was removed as headmistress and head of house. She was offered the chance to stay teaching, if she wanted but would no longer have any other duties. Minerva ended up retiring. Griselda Marchbanks was given the job as headmistress and Pomona Sprout was named deputy head.
Even though Harry and Sirius found out about the changes, they already decided that Greece would be there home. Neither of them were interested in returning to England. They had many reasons but danger was the main reason for Harry and Sirius was still angry that so many believed he had been guilty for betraying the Potters.
One thing Harry did do, he and Sirius went to the magical school to see what it was like. After a tour and a lot of information, Harry enrolled in his new school. As far as Harry and Sirius were concerned, the school was one hundred times better than Hogwarts.
Sirius did write a letter for the Quibbler to publish. He wrote about Harry's new school and how it was so much better than Hogwarts. He went right into details about the subjects which was a lot more than hogwarts offered. He explained how all the students played quidditch. The first years played against other first years, second year against second year and so forth. They did have six main teams and played all year round. They also had the racing league which was becoming more popular by the day. Harry joined the racing league. Also, there were two teachers for each subject and the school had a strict no bullying policy. Depending on the severity of the bullying, it would begin with a month's detention, that was every night and every weekend. If it was worse, then suspended for two months. If a student was injured, the student who caused it would be instantly expelled. Sirius wanted everyone in England to know just why Harry preferred his new school to the old one.
It was a year later that Remus informed Harry and Sirius that the new minister had an idea of trying to get Harry to return. He planned to relocate James and Lily's bodies to the ministry. He found their bodies gone along with the house in godric's hollow. Rufus Scrimgeour didn't last the year once Harry published a letter explaining what the minister tried to do. Everyone in England realised that after this last attempt, Harry would never return. They read that he gave up his duel citizenship and was now a citizen of Greece.
When Harry graduated, there was a picture of him on the front page of all major newspapers all around the world. He wasn't alone. He was shown with his girlfriend of two years. The next time Harry was seen around the wizarding world was his wedding picture. Harry married his long time girlfriend. They were planning a long honeymoon, around the world except they plan to skip Great Britain.
There were many in England that actually supported Harry and his decisions but there were many who didn't. Amelia Bones was one that though Harry did the right thing. If he remained, he would never be left alone or have someone trying to use him or force him to do things he didn't want to. Harry had saved all their lives when his parents were murdered, it was time now for Harry to have the life he deserved. He was beginning to have that life now in his new country, with his godfather and now his wife.
The end:
