Yuuri surfaced at the side of the pond they had been at with a gasp and sat in the shallows, stunned. He couldn't be here. He couldn't be here!
"Woo!" Murata said as he surfaced beside him. "That was-"
"Send me back."
"What?" Murata had a laugh in his voice and it flipped a switch in Yuuri.
Water slashed as Yuuri rolled to his knees and grabbed Murata by the collar. "Send me back, right now!"
Murata's eyes widened. "Shibuya, calm-"
"Now, Murata!" He demanded, giving him a shake. "Send me back! You had no right!"
Murata frowned, hands coming up to grip Yuuri's wrists and try to pull them away, but Yuuri held firm. "It doesn't work that way. What's wrong, I thought you'd appreciate the break-"
"Bullshit!" Yuuri shouted before shoving Murata away in disgust. "You thought it'd be funny! You always think it's funny, yanking me in and out of my lives! I'm sick of it!" The wind started to pick up around them and thunder rumbled in the distance.
Murata's eyes flashed and he sat back up from where Yuuri had pushed him "You need to calm down."
"Fuck you!" Yuuri said, climbing to his feet. "Do you have any idea what you've done?!"
"Obviously not!"
"You've made me hurt him again!" It was practically a scream and Yuuri closed his eyes against the pain that erupted in his own chest. He'd broken his promises. Wolfram would think he'd been right all along, that Yuuri had changed his mind and been so disgusted with him that he ran away. "You knew what was going to happen! You could have warned me, given me 5 more minutes. Instead you ruined everything. Send me back!"
"I can't!"
Yuuri did scream then, the wind whipping around him and thunder crashing overhead.
"Stop it, Shibuya!" Murata shouted over the wind, but Yuuri didn't listen.
If Murata couldn't, he'd do it himself. He wasn't glowing, but he could feel his power flowing out of him like a wound in his chest. He'd just rip his way through realities and back to Wolfram!
The water began to swirl around him, but then he was being tackled backwards by Murata.
"Are you trying to kill yourself?!" Murata screamed at him, shaking his shoulders. "You can't use that kind of power here, it'll destroy you! It won't work anyway, only Ulrike can open the way, and only on Shinrou's word! All I do is help complete the connection."
Yuuri punched him. Socked him in the jaw hard enough to send him flying.
"We're done." Yuuri growled, climbing clumsily back to his feet. "I don't want to hear from you until you can send me back."
"Shibuya!"
But Yuuri ignored him, climbing out of the pond. His rage was the only thing keeping him upright on the walk home. 'I'm sorry, Wolfram,' he thought- prayed, hoping the blonde could somehow hear. 'I'm so sorry.' Once he was over the threshold of his house, he heard his mother shout as he collapsed to the floor, the toll of trying to force his powers finally taking effect as everything went black.
A/N: There will be a bit of an interlude before the main story continues, but there will still be updates! Keep your eyes peeled.
