5D's – Rise of the Earthbounds
Last time, Yusei Fudo was working on his Duel Runner however he couldn't get the engine to work properly, however after his friend Rally returned with a stolen chip which allowed him to finally get his Duel Runner's engine working properly. However because of the criminal mark on Rally's face allowed Sector Security to locate them. However Yusei disturbed the tracking signal and then lead them away. Yusei then challenged the one leading them, Tetsu Trudge and if he won the duel then Rally would be pardoned from the theft of the chip. After a tough duel Yusei managed to win the duel, however what will happen next?
Chapter 2- Insect Duelist
Yusei was working on his Duel Runner while thinking back to before Jack left the Satellite, Jack, I might have lost to you in the past, but I have improved a lot since then. Yusei thought to himself before thinking back to his last duel against Jack.
FLASHBACK, TWO YEARS EARLIER,
Yusei had a Synchro monster on his field Called Junk Destroyer while Jack had his Mad Archfiend on the field with two face down cards. Yusei had been cautious of the face down earlier but Jack hadn't used them yet so he figured that he couldn't use them at the moment. Yusei had 400 life points left while Jack had 600. If Yusei's attack against Mad Archfiend succeeded then he would win.
Jack looked at him with a serious expression, "Just give up Yusei, you can't defeat me." Yusei narrowed his eyes, "Is it because you're the best duelist in the Satellite?" Yusei and Jack were both extremely good duelists and there had always been a rivalry between them as duelists.
Jack got a smirk on his face, "That's right, I'm the duel champion here in the Satellite! So if you think that you will change that then prove it here and now!"
Yusei narrowed his eyes and then pointed at Jack, "Fine as you wish, now Junk Destroyer, attack Mad Archfiend!" Junk Destroyer gathered energy at his four fists and threw a punch from each arm and launched the energy at Mad Archfiend.
However at that moment Jack pressed a button on his Duel Disk, "Now I activate my spell card Shrink which allows me to cut your Junk Destroyer's attack points in half." The energy blasts then shrunk to half its original size, Atk: 2600-1300. Yusei gritted his teeth when he saw this.
Jack then pointed at them pointed at Junk Destroyer, "Now Mad Archfiend, counterattack and destroy his Junk Destroyer with Bone Shard Shower!" The mouth of Mad Archfiend's stomach began chewing on the skull inside of it before spitting out bone shards that shattered the energy blasts before hitting Junk Destroyer and destroyed him, Yusei LP: 400-0
Yusei then went down on a knee and then hit the ground in frustration. Rally and the others gasped in shock when they saw what had just happened, "Yusei… Yusei actually lost?"
Yusei then looked up as a shadow fell over him and saw Jack standing there looking at him, "Yusei, a duel can't be won simply with monsters alone. And they can't be won with spells or traps alone either. Only when all three of them are working together in balance will they be able to win. Also, the most important thing in order to obtain victory…"Jack then pointed at his chest, "Is right here." Jack then turned around and walked away, leaving a frustrated Yusei behind.
END OF FLASHBACK,
Yusei then finished working on his Duel Runner and grabbed his helmet to take it on a test drive, You might not have said what you meant however I have found my answer to it. Yusei thought to himself as he drove off.
THE NEXT DAY, IN NEW DOMINO CITY,
Jack was standing in front of a window and looked towards the Satellite that he could see from his window, glad that he wasn't trapped over there anymore. He held a card in his right hand and a birthmark in the shape of a pair of wings could be seen on that arm.
Jack then looked at the card which was a Synchro monster of a green and white dragon, Yusei's Stardust Dragon. Jack then heard a voice behind him, "Could it be that our champion has been gripped with nostalgia?" Jack looked behind him and saw a man in a suit with white gloves and long white hair.
Jack then looked towards the Satellite again, "I used to live in that dump two years ago Goodwin."
The man, Rex Goodwin just smiled at him, "You're an individual that has been chosen by the stars. It would be for the best if you forgot about that past."''Jack threw out with his arms and threw Stardust straight in to his deck.
Rex looked at his deck for a second before he looked back at Jack who had turned towards him, "There is no way that I can just forget about it. Each day that I spent in the Satellite was such a disgrace! It would be best if the Satellite simply got destroyed."
Rex closed his eyes and sighed, "While I can understand how you must feel, I'm afraid that that's simply something we can't do. New Domino City is dependent of the Satellite. The Satellite exists to support and improve the lives of the chosen people living here in New Domino City. Those who lives over there are used for the sole purpose of recycling the trash that we discard. So nothing is truly unnecessary in this world."
Goodwin then looked at Jack and continued, "In truth, the fact that you used to live there Jack was a trial given to you by the stars, to see if you could overcome it and live up to you destiny. That's what I believe. After all you're the only one who has managed to get from the Satellite to New Domino City and become the Riding Duel Champion, which is why I believe that you're a chosen person."
Jack looked at the birthmark on his arm, "A test huh?" He had lived a relative good life in the Satellite for most of his life but he always felt that he was destined for greater things which were why when he found a chance to finally escape that life he took it even though it meant betraying those who considered him a friend.
AT THE SAME TIME, IN THE SATELLITE,
Rally was standing next to a train track with a timer in his hand. He waited patiently until he heard the sound of an engine and saw Yusei's Duel Runner coming towards him. Then he pressed the stop button on the timer the moment Yusei drove past him. Yusei stopped a few meters away from him.
Rally looked at the timer and a huge smile appeared on his face, "Amazing!" He then ran over to Yusei he pressed the button on his helmet to and his visor went up, "It's just amazing Yusei! This Duel Runner is a lot faster than your old Duel Runner was. It will be a piece of cake for you to get through the pipeline tonight."
Yusei looked at the timer before putting down his visor again, "Yeah it should be easy to get through them, but let's do a few more tests. I don't want to be absolute sure that I can do it." Rally smiled at him and nodded his head and reset the timer and Yusei drove away.
AT THE SAME TIME, IN THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,
Blitz, Nervin and Tank were currently working in a factory and sorted the different garbage that came down the conveyor belt.
A few minutes later so were Nervin walking while carrying three boxes of garbage in his arms, "Man, those people in New Domino City sure likes to throw a lot of trash."
Blitz who walked behind him with three boxes as well asked him to stop complaining, "Just stop complaining Nervin, I don't like this work either but it helps put on the table so we got no choice."
He then looked behind him at Tank he was struggling with balancing the three boxes he was carrying, "Be careful Tank, it would be a pain to have to pick all of that up if you accidently drops it."
Tanks looked at him with a smile after he finally managed to stabilize them, "Don't worry, I just lost my balance on them for a second, I'll be fine." Blitz had a concerned look on his face but just nodded his head and decided focus on his own work.
However in front of them sitting on a couch were three people. Those three were troublemakers where the leader, Lenny had been arrested in New Domino City for causing trouble and been branded with a marker and sent over to the Satellite and so had his two underlings Lug and Larry.
Lenny saw Nervin, Blitz and Tank coming towards him and a smirk appeared on his face. After Nervin and Blitz had walked past him so did he stick out his leg causing Tank to trip on it and fall screaming to the ground.
Blitz and Nervin looked around shocked and dropped their boxes and ran over to Tank with a worried expression on their faces, "Tank, are you okay?" Blitz asked going down on a knee next to him.
Tank got up on his knees and groan in pain, "I'm okay, however it felt like someone tripped me." Lenny chuckled, "My bad, my bad, I guess he tripped over my leg as I was sitting here." Blitz got up and glared at Lenny, he and Nervin had gotten by just fine which meant that Lenny had tripped Tank on purpose.
Lug looked at them with a smirk, "It's because your legs are so long, if you're not careful then incompetent people like that fatty will keep tripping over them." Tank, Blitz and Nervin glared at them for the insult.
Lenny chuckled, "even so, it's hard for me to stand the stench of the people around here. You people born here in the Satellite sure stink a lot." Larry chuckled when he heard that.
Blitz narrowed his eyes and decided to insult him back, "Oh yeah? Well then, mind telling me how you got that marker on your face again Lenny?" Lenny touched his right cheek and glared at Blitz with a humiliated expression on his face.
He then got up together with Larry and Lug and grabbed Blitz by his shirt, "If you're that curious then allow me to show you why." Lenny then clenched his right fist and punched Blitz in the face while Larry and Lug attacked Nervin and Tank.
A WHILE LATER,
Rally was treating the injuries Tank, Nervin and Blitz had gotten from their fights, "Man, you guys sure got your asses kicked." He and Yusei had been concerned when he saw them coming back with injured faces.
Blitz gritted his teeth and complained about the situation, "That damned Lenny. I heard that he caused a lot of trouble in New Domino and as a punishment got marked and then got sent here with his friends Lug and Larry, and since then he has been bragging about how he used to live in New Domino and picks fights with residents of the Satellite whenever he can, he just doesn't realize that who he used to be over there doesn't matter anymore since he got himself marked."
Nervin sighed and agreed with Blitz, "Yeah, he just doesn't want to accept that he's a resident of the Satellite now and just keep acting like he's much better than the rest of us."
Tank then looked towards Yusei who were checking the systems of his Duel Runner, "Say Yusei, how is it going over there?" Blitz and Nervin also looked at him.
Rally answered him instead with an excited voice, "It couldn't be better! His Duel Runner is faster than any I have seen before, he hit two new records today during our tests."
Blitz got an impressed expression, "Really? That's amazing Yusei." Yusei looked up from his laptop, "It's all thanks to Rally."
Rally got a happy expression on his face when he heard that, "I also have to thank you Yusei. Sector Security hasn't been after me even once since that day. And I promise you guys, I will never steal again." Yusei got a small smile on his face and nodded his head in approval since he could tell that Rally meant what he said.
Blitz then sighed, "Even so, I still can't believe that Trudge guy kept his end of the deal. I guess at least some of the people of Sector Security can be reasoned with."
Nervin got a troubled smile on his face, "I think it's more his pride as a duelist. Anyone who has pride as a duelist should be able to accept the outcome a duel and honor their end of the agreement right?" The others nodded in agreement to what Nervin had said.
However Yusei disagreed, "I wouldn't really call him a duelist considering how disrespectful he was during the duel." The others looked at him shocked and he continued, "But at least he seems to be able to accept his loses and honor his promises to a certain degree."
AT THE SAME TIME, IN SECTOR SECURITY HEADQUARTERS,
Trudge was standing in front of his superior and looked through a deck, "A special pursuit deck huh? You have made something really interesting here."
His superior looked at him, "There has been a lot of reoccurring misuse of Duel Runners, people using them to cause trouble lately, and so to counter that the special unit Duel Chasers were created and that is the custom deck that they use."
Trudge looked at his superior with a surprised expression on his face, "And you're giving it to me."
The superior nodded his head and explained why, "I heard about it, you lost to a turbo duelist from the Satellite not long ago and shouldered the expenses of the stolen chip out of your own pay."
Trudge nodded his head, "Yes, let's just call it a duelist's etiquette, I made an agreement and so I honored it even if it was reluctantly." Trudge was still frustrated over that he had lost to Yusei but he still had his pride and decided to honor his side of the agreement.
Trudge's superior sighed and looked at him with a serious expression, "I understand that as a duelist you have your pride, but don't forget that you're duties as a member of Sector Security takes priority over your pride as a duelist."
Trudge nodded his head, "I understand sir, but don't worry, if I run in to that guy again it won't go the same way a second time." He then held up the Pursuit deck with a smirk, "I have this now after all." He then put his new deck away and pointed at an officer at a monitor, "Hey, inform me if that guy with the red Duel Runner appears anywhere, he's mine to take down." He then walked out of the control room.
AT THE SAME TIME,
Yusei was checking the systems of his Duel Runner while his friends were watching him. Tank then spoke up, "I wonder how Jack will react when he sees you again."
Rally looked at Yusei with an excited expression, "You're gonna duel Jack right? You're gonna settle your score with him right?"
Yusei answered Rally while he continued to work on his Duel Runner, "I'm just going after Jack to get Stardust back." Yusei then closed his eyes and continued, "After all, it's everyone's monster."
The others looked at him before Blitz spoke his feelings, "That's right, we all loved seeing that dragon take flight whenever you summoned him and wanted to see him flying behind you during a turbo duel."
Tank nodded his head, "Yeah, remember when Yusei hacked in to New Domino City and we got to see a turbo duel for the first time? We were all super shocked! I had no idea that the advanced form of Duel Disks, Duel Runners existed in New Domino.
Rally nodded his head with a big smile on his face, "That's right, and remember how shocked and excited we were when Yusei then took and built a Duel Runner from scrap that we found in the junk yards around here?"
Nervin then nodded his head and got a nostalgic smile on his face, "Yeah, and then Yusei Synchro Summoned Stardust Dragon and took to the skies behind him, man I was so super excited when I saw that, I was thinking that maybe we would be having turbo duels here in the Satellite and get to see Stardust take down opponent after opponent. Our dreams seemed like they were about to become a reality."
Blitz narrowed his eyes and then spoke in a tone full of anger, "But Jack at that point already plans on stealing both the Duel Runner and Stardust Dragon. He kidnapped Rally and forced Yusei to save him so he could steal both and then escape from the Satellite. I still wonder what reason he had to use such drastic measure."
The gang looked down with troubled expression before Rally got an excited expression on his face, "This Duel Runner is also pretty awesome! It might even be more impressive than his original Duel Runner. It will be able to get through the pipeline in at most two minutes."
Tank got an excited expression on his face when he heard that, "Seriously?! At most two minutes? That's awesome!"
Yusei then spoke up, "I ran a simulation." The gang looked at him and Blitz asked shocked, "You mean that you managed to hack them again."
Yusei nodded his head, "Sector Security has a pretty weak security after all." He then pulled up a schematic of the pipeline, "Once a month during midnight, the pipeline is shutdown in order for interior maintenance. There will be a three minutes gape before this is finished and the garbage starts flowing out again."
Yusei then pointed at a maintenance hatch at the side of the pipeline, "If I can manage to get through this maintenance hatch before times up, I can get to New Domino City."
Nervin looked at him troubled, "Yusei, that's too…" He then sighed frustrated and scratched his head, "Forget it, I won't say anything else, I'll just cross my fingers for you." Blitz and Tank nodded their heads as they knew just as well as Nervin that they wouldn't be able to talk Yusei out of this.
At that moment they heard footsteps and an arrogant voice spoke out to them, "So it's here you losers are." Yusei and his friends followed the voice and saw Lenny and his two henchmen coming towards them.
Lenny looked at them with a smirk, "We're here to return the favor." Yusei narrowed his eyes when he heard that, "Return the favor? From what I heard you started that fight."
Lug glared at him, "Shut it! We got in to all sort of trouble for that mess earlier, and we also received a big cut in out pays on top of that, all because of you losers." Larry let out his signature chuckle however he had an angry expression on his face.
Lenny walked towards them with a smirk while cracking his knuckles, "And since it's the fault of you guys that we had to go through all that, we're now here to return the favor."
Blitz walked towards them with an angry expression on his face. However Lenny's attention was soon drawn towards Yusei's Duel Runner and his smirk grew bigger, "It's that a Duel Runner?"
Blitz didn't like the look in Lenny's eyes and answered with a cold tone, "I don't see how that would be any of your business. Now scram!"
Lenny however didn't move and just chuckled, "A bunch of Satellite punks like you guys don't deserve to have a Duel Runner, especially not a nice looking like that one." He then pointed at himself, "Since it would just be wasted on scum like you, give it to me. It will be a good way to make up for causing me so much trouble earlier."
Blitz gritted his teeth and was about to say something when Yusei stood up and glared at Lenny, "Not a chance."
Lenny narrowed his eyes and looked at Yusei, "What, are you the owner of it? Can you even duel at all?" He then got a smirk and pointed at Yusei, "Then how about this, if you somehow manage to beat me, then I'll leave you guys alone, but if I win then that Duel Runner is mine." He then held out his left arm and Lug placed a Duel Disk on it and he activated it.
Blitz looked over his shoulder at Yusei, "Yusei, you shouldn't waste your time on people like these guys." Yusei however took out his turbo duel deck from his deck holder and put it in to a deck box on his belt and then opened another box and took out his standard duel deck and put it in to the card holder.
Blitz turned towards Yusei shocked, "Hey Yusei! You're not actually going to accept his challenge are you?"
Yusei pressed a button on his Duel Runner, "He won't leave you guys alone if I don't do this, not only that, but they're also mocking our dreams." A voice then came out of his Duel Runner, "Momentum, disconnected." The Duel Disk on the Duel Runner then got separated from it and Yusei then put his arm on it and it got connected to it and then walked so he stood in front of Lenny.
Lenny chuckled and spoke in an interested tone, "Oh? So that Duel Runner is a hybrid type huh?" He then looked at Yusei with a mocking smirk, "You said something about that I mocked your dreams right? You dirty Satellite inhabitants are not allowed to have dreams as your only purpose are to make the lives of the people of New Domino City, now follow me."
Yusei then followed Lenny and his henchmen while his friends followed him. Both Yusei and Lenny drew there first five cards and both called out, "Let's duel!" Lenny then placed fingers his deck, "The first move is mine, I draw!"
Lenny drew his sixth card and looked at it before he placed it in his hand before he grabbed another card, "I start my Chainsaw Insect in attack mode." A large insect with chainsaw pincers appeared on the field, Atk: 2400.
The gang gasped in shock when they saw Chainsaw Insect and Tank gritted his teeth troubled, "A monster with 2400 attack points? Are you serious?"
Nervin then narrowed his eyes, "He has already put a lot of pressure on Yusei as getting a monster with that much attack points on the first turn is a little difficult, I mean Yusei are the best duelist in Satellite but it still doesn't change that."
Lenny then grabbed another card in his hand, "And next, I activate the continuous spell card Retribution of the Ant Lion." A sink hole then appeared on the field in front of him and he chuckled, "Now, as long as this card is on the field, when a monster is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, the owner of that monster takes 800 points of damage."
Tank narrowed his eyes, "A card that can damage both players if their monsters are destroyed?"
Nervin adjusted his glasses with a troubled, "Lenny must be pretty confident in his dueling skills if using such a risky card."
Lenny chuckled and looked at Yusei with a smirk, "And with that, I end my turn, but just you wait, I will show you the terrifying power of my insect deck."
Yusei placed his fingers on his deck, "It's my turn now." He drew his next card and looked at it, "I start by summoning Rapid Warrior in attack mode." A blue armored monster with a tail appeared on the field, Atk: 1200.
"Now I activate Rapid Warrior's special ability. In exchange for negating the attacks of all other monsters on my field this turn Rapid Warrior can attack you directly!"
Yusei then pointed at the shocked Lenny, "Now Rapid Warrior, attack him with Rapid Strike!" Rapid Warrior rushed towards Lenny while moving around Chainsaw Insect before spinning around and slamming his tail in to Lenny who fell to the ground, Lenny LP: 4000-2800.
Yusei then grabbed two cards in his hand and placed them face down, "Now I end my turn by placing two cards face down." Two cards appeared face down in front of him.
Lenny got up with a frustrated expression, "That was a cowardly attack, but then I guess I should've expected something like that from a Satellite scum like you."
Lenny then placed his fingers on his deck, "It's my turn now, I draw." He drew his next card and looked at it, "I summon Pinch Hopper in attack mode!" A green insect with wings appeared on the field, Atk: 1000.
Lenny then grabbed a card in his hand, "And that's not all, now I activate the spell card Insect Costume! Now by discarding one insect monster I can add one insect monster from my deck to my hand." He placed a card in to his graveyard before a massive insect came out of Pinch Hopper while a card came out of his deck and grabbed it before it got shuffled.
Lenny then pointed at Pinch Hopper, "And next, Insect Costume's other effect will now destroy one insect monster on my field, in order words my Pinch Hopper!" Pinch Hopper then shattered.
The gang gasped in shock before tank spoke out, "He destroyed his own monster? But doesn't that mean that…"
At that moment Retribution of the Ant Lion glowed yellow and a yellow beam shot out of it and hit Lenny who groaned in pain, Lenny LP: 2800-2000.
Lenny looked around shocked and confused about what had just happened, "Wh-Why did my life points decrease?" Yusei narrowed his eyes when he heard that question.
The gang sighed tired before Blitz decided to explain the reason for Lenny with a tired voice, "Come on, it was because of the effect of your own continuous spell card Retribution of the Ant Lion."
Lenny looked at Blitz with a shocked expression for a second before he looked at his Duel Disk with a look of understanding on his face, "Oh yeah, that's right I forgot about that." He then looked at Yusei with a serious expression, "However it doesn't matter since now I can activate Pinch Hopper's special ability!"
He then grabbed a card in his hand and a smirk appeared on his face, "When Pinch Hopper gets destroyed and sent to the graveyard, I can special summon an insect monster from my hand, so appear Metal Armored Bug!" A large armored bug appeared on the field next to Chainsaw Insect, Atk: 2800.
Tank gasped in shock, "He was allowed to summon a monster with 2800 attack points just like that?" Nervin adjusted his glasses, "I see, he used Insect Costume's effect to take advantage of Pinch Hopper's ability in order to summon a high level insect."
Lenny's smirk then grew bigger, "And I'm not done yet." He then held out his hand in front o his graveyard, "Now I remove Pinch Hopper and my Insect Knight in order to special summon Doom Dozer in attack mode. A massive centipede appeared on the field, Atk: 2800.
Nervin had a nervous expression on his face, "Not good, if you add all of his monsters attack points together then he'll be able to inflict 6600 points of battle damage to Yusei, and top of that the 800 from his Retribution of the Ant Lion."
Blitz looked at him, "Yeah but remember Nervin, this is Yusei that we're talking about, there is no way an opponent that doesn't realize that his own card would damage him." Blitz and Tank nodded their heads in agreement.
Lenny looked over at the gang for a second before he looked at Yusei with a smirk, "Your friends seem to have absolute faith in you, unfortunately for them about to prove them wrong with my insect army."
He then pointed at Rapid Warrior, "Now Chainsaw Insect, it's time to take revenge on the opponent who snuck past you for that surprise attack earlier, attack his Rapid Warrior."
The chainsaw pincers began to spin and he walked over to Rapid Warrior and snapped them around him and he screamed as they cut in to his armor. One of Yusei's face down's then got revealed, "Now I activate Defense Draw, now I can make the damage from this battle 0 and then I get to draw one card." Rapid Warrior then got destroyed.
Lenny gritted his teeth, "Actually you get to draw two cards, you see if Chainsaw Insect attacked or was attacked, the opponent gets to draw one card." Yusei looked at Lenny as he drew two cards, "So that's the drawback of Chainsaw Insect. Any level 4 monster with over 2000 attack points always have some kind of drawback."
Lenny gritted his teeth before a smirk appeared on his face and pointed at his the Retribution of the Ant Lion, "Maybe so, but you'll still take 800 points of damage since your monster got destroyed and sent to the graveyard." A yellow beam came out of the sink hole and it hit Yusei. Yusei LP: 4000-3200.
Lenny then pointed at Yusei, "And next, Metal Armored Bug, attack him directly!" Metal Armored Bug then rushed towards Yusei and slammed in to him and sent him flying, Yusei LP: 3200-400.
Yusei then pressed a button on his Duel Disk, "Next I activate Shock Draw which allows me to draw a card for every 1000 points of battle damage I've taken this turn, which means I draw two more cards." Yusei drew two more cards and looked at them.
Lenny chuckled, "That doesn't matter since this duel is over, that Duel Runner is as good as mine already." He then pointed at Yusei who had gotten up on his feet again, "Now Doom Dozer, attack his life points directly and end this now!" Doom Dozer roared as he moved towards Yusei while opening his mouth.
Yusei grabbed a card in his hand and revealed a monster card with an image of a scarecrow, "Now I activate Swift Scarecrow's special ability! When one of your monsters declares a direct attack, I can discard Swift Scarecrow to negate the attack and end the battle phase." Swift Scarecrow appeared on the field and Doom Dozer bit down in to it and it shattered.
Lenny gritted his teeth, "You are so lucky, that monster must've been one of the four cards you just drew, you only survived because of your dumb luck."
Yusei looked at him, "You've got it all wrong, I had Swift Scarecrow in my hand before Chainsaw Insect attack, I just waited so I could use my Shock Draw trap card." Lenny's eyes widened in shock for a second before he gritted his teeth as he realized that Yusei could've have prevented his Metal Armored Bug's attack and then end his battle phase but chose not to so he could draw cards.
Lenny glared at Yusei, "You might've survived this turn, however this duel is still over. There is no way you can defeat my field." The frustration was evident in his voice.
Yusei placed his fingers on his deck, "It's my turn, I draw." Yusei drew his next card and looked at it before he placed it in his hand and grabbed another card, "I summon Junk Synchron in attack mode." Junk Synchron then appeared on the field, Atk: 1300.
A card then came out of Yusei's graveyard and he grabbed it, "And now since Junk Synchron was normal summoned special ability allows me to special summon a level 2 or lower from my graveyard in defense mode however it's effects is negated, so reappear Swift Scarecrow, Def: 0.
Yusei then grabbed a card in his hand, "Next I special Junk Servant in attack mode." Junk Servant then appeared on the field, Atk: 1500.
Yusei then held out his hand towards his three monsters, "Next, I tune my level 3 Junk Synchron with my level 1 swift Scarecrow and my level 4 Junk Synchron." Junk Synchron became three rings of green energy and both Swift Scarecrow and Junk Servant flew in to the rings and turned in to sevens stars, "Clustering fighting souls will awaken a howling evil god! Become the path its light shines upon!"
The stars then became a beam of energy, "I Synchro Summon, Smash out, Junk Destroyer!" Junk Destroyer then appeared on the field, Atk: 2600.
Lenny took a step back in shock, "You're a Synchro user?" Lug looked at him with a confident look on his face, "Don't worry about it boss, even if he busted out a big monster it's not strong enough to defeat either Metal Armored Bug or Doom Dozer."
Yusei then held out his hand towards Junk Destroyer, "Now I activate Junk Destroyer's special ability! When he's Synchro Summoned, I can destroy one card on my opponent's field for every non-tuner synchro material used for his summon."
Lenny took a step backwards in shock, "He can what?" The red orbs on Junk Destroyer's chest lit up.
Yusei narrowed his eyes, "Since I used two non-tuner monsters as materials, I can destroy Doom Dozer and Full Armored Bug, Tidal Sweep!" Junk Destroy used his two upper arms two send two blasts of energy towards Doom Dozer and Full Armored Bug and both got destroyed, causing Lenny to shield his face while Lug and Larry stared on in shock.
Lenny took a step back, "T…this can't be…" Yusei then pointed at Lenny, "And next, since two of your monsters just got destroyed and sent to your graveyard, you now take 1600 points of damage thanks to your own Retribution of the Ant Lion spell card." Lenny gasped in shock as he heard that right before Retribution of the Ant Lion lit up and sent a beam of light that hit him and he groaned, Lenny LP: 2000-400.
Yusei then grabbed two cards in his hand, "This duel is over, however let me show you another strategy I had in mind even if I hadn't used Junk Destroyer's ability to destroy both Doom Dozer and Metal Armored Bug to deal damage to you."
Yusei revealed two spell cards in his hand, "These two equip cards are called Fighting Spirit and Assault Armor. Fighting Spirit gives the equipped monster 300 attack points for every monster on the opponent's field and it if would be destroyed by battle I can just send Fighting Spirit to the grave to prevent it. And while Assault Armor can only be equipped to a warrior and increases its attack by 300, it's other effect allows me to send it to the graveyard during my main phase to allow that warrior to attack twice that turn."
Lenny gritted his teeth, "And that means that even if my monsters hadn't been destroyed by your Synchro monster's ability, I still would've lost."
Yusei nodded his head, "That's correct, and since I don't want you to feel the shame of losing because of your own card, I'll finish this duel by equipping Assault Armor to my Junk Destroyer to increase his attack points by 300." Junk Destroyer got surrounded by a golden aura, Atk: 2600-2900
Yusei then pointed at Chainsaw Insect, "Now Junk Destroyer, attack his Chainsaw Insect with Fist of Ferocity!" Junk Destroyer's fists lit up and he threw four blasts of energy towards Chainsaw Insect and they hit him, destroying him. Lenny LP: 400-0. Lenny sank down on his knees in frustration, "T…this can't be true."
The gang however cheered and Tank shouted happily, "Alright, Yusei won!" They had all been confident that he would win since he's the best duelist in the Satellite but it was still a relief to see that he won.
Lenny looked down at the ground, "I can't believe it, how could my insect army be defeated?"
Yusei walked towards Lenny, "Two years ago, my friend told me this. A duel can't be won simply with monsters alone. And they can't be won with spells or traps alone either. Only when all three of them are working together in balance will they be able to win. He also told me that the most important thing in order to obtain victory…"
Yusei then stopped in front of Lenny and pointed at his chest before he continued, "Is right here. He never told me what he meant, but I found my own answer to what he said. And that's the soul of a duelist's that believes in all of their cards."
Lenny looked at Yusei before a smirk appeared on his face, "You sure told me there huh, sorry to have bothered you." He then stood up and looked at Yusei with a determined expression, "However this isn't over, next time we duel, I'll be the winner."
Yusei got a smile on his face, "I'll gladly accept a challenge, but next time, let's just duel for fun okay?" Lenny nodded his head and turned around walked away with Lug and Larry.
A LITTLE WHILE LATER,
Yusei was looking at the full moon in the sky, "Just you wait Jack, I'm coming for you, and I'm going to get Stardust Dragon back."
Yusei was testing his Duel Runner's speed and preparing himself for trying to get to New Domino City through the pipeline when it shut down during its monthly maintenance. However a former citizen of New Domino City whose name were Lenny and his two henchmen Larry and Lug appeared to cause trouble for the gang to get revenge for causing a scene earlier which caused Lenny and his friends trouble. Lenny who then noticed Yusei's Duel Runner and demanded them to hand it over. However Yusei challenged him to a duel and managed to defeat him. What will happen next? P.S For those waiting for my GX season 3 story, I'm sorry but right now I'm stuck when it comes to ideas, currently I only have a 30 percent finished chapter. Like I said I'm truly sorry but please try to understand, if I had a finished idea for new chapters then I would've posted one by now, so please be understanding, I will update the story when I get the complete image of the chapter in my head.
