Hey guys and gals, it's me CMBasher7 here again, bringing you another new chapter in Bakugan Dragon Brawlers. Sorry I haven't been updating so much, I was just trying to think of what to write and also it takes a long time to write every word right.
I hope you liked the last Chapter as much as I did, was a real good tear-jerker near the end, huh?
As you know, I don't own anything from Httyd or Bakugan, or anything else unless I created it myself.
I apologize for any Misspellings, Autocorrects, Missing Word's in any of my past and future works.
With that out of the way, and me not having anything else to say, let's get right on into the chapter, BAKUGAN BRAWL!
Chieftain Lane and Hooligan Avenue, Haddock Household...
It's 1:30 AM in Berk, Stoick was downstairs in his house calling out his son's name and still not getting a response from his son. The reason he was calling Hiccup was because he noticed a discount at the super market and since he's busy today and his son isn't he decided to let Hiccup go get groceries.
"Hiccup! Hiccup!" Stoick shouted for Hiccup once again, and still not getting a response from him again. "There is no way he's still asleep, it's way past lunch time." He said to himself with annoyance.
"Hiccup! Come down here!" Stoick called for him again, still no response.
After a couple of minutes, Stoick had stopped calling his son's name and had now made up his mind.
"Ugh, If he won't go to me, I'll go to him." Stoick sighed, tired of having to yell for his son's name, and instead going to his son's room.

Meanwhile in Hiccup's Room...
Hiccup was on the computer talking to his teammates, he still talked about how great Toothless is, which was getting annoying, but it was nice to see that the two had actually made-up and apologized for everything they did to one another.
"It's sweet that you and Toothless are friends again, but do you have to keep mentioning it?" Heather sighed with some annoyance but still held some compassion for the original leader.
"Sorry about that." Hiccup apologizes to The Haos Dragon Brawler.
"I almost thought after you threw Toothless into the river we might never hear from him again." Astrid said happy that her original ex-Team Leader and Toothless are back together.
"Actually Hiccup, I'm surprise you're Bakugan decided to come back to you." Snotlout said egotistical mocking tone.
Hiccup rolled his eyes, he did keep his promise to Snotlout about keeping his mouth shut about Snotlout actually caring about him for the sake of his reputation, but sometimes his cousin's ego is too much for anyone.
"Oh, like you're one to talk Snotlout, you don't know anything about how to treat a sentient Bakugan." Hiccup said in a joking-ish manner.
"HAH?! What's that mean?! You don't know how to treat a sentient Bakugan either, tell him Astrid!" Snotlout challenged his cousin.
"I don't know what you're talking about but me and Stormfly get along just fine, isn't that right?" Astrid said holding Stormfly in her palms.
"I must admit, she treats me very well." Stormfly admitted that Astrid treats her very well, despite her terrible cooking skills that she is oblivious too.
"Thank you, Stormfly." Astrid thanked the Aquos Nadder Bakugan.
"She's just saying that so she can get more fried chicken." Snotlout deadpanned with annoyance to their new Leader.
Apparently, Toothless isn't the only sentient Bakugan able to eat food. Stormfly loves the taste of fried chicken, a lot as well as some plants and fish, but that doesn't come close to her love for the taste of the deep fried poultry.
"Sorry to interrupt, but we should focus on Masque, he threatens all of us with his scheme to steal all of our Bakugan's." Fishlegs said getting everyone's attention.
"HEY, IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT TACKY BATMAN-WANNABE STOLE MY BAKUGANS!" Snotlout shouted in protest.
Suddenly, a Woman's voice calls out from Astrid's screen.
"Astrid, come down here we have to go!" A voice called out, this being Astrid's mother.
"Coming Mom! I'll talk to you guys later." Astrid said her goodbyes.
"So long, Ast." "Smell ya later." See ya soon." "Goodbye my radiant goddess." "Later, Astrid." "Goodbye, Astrid. Talk to you soon." Everyone said their goodbyes to Astrid for the day.
Astrid turned off her computer screen and headed to meet up with her parents.
After that, Stoick barged into Hiccup's room with an angered and annoyed look on his face as he slams open the door.
"HICCUP! ARE YOU IN THERE?! GET OUT OF BED AND- oh..." Stoick then noticed that Hiccup wasn't in bed as he thought but on the computer talking to Snotlout, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, Fishlegs, and Heather. "Hiccup, why didn't you answer me?" He asked with his voice calmed down.
"Sorry dad, guess I didn't hear you call my name." Hiccup told his dad as he really didn't hear his dad call for him.
"Well then..." Stoick said coughing in slight embarrassment. "I want you to head over to the supermarket, there's a discount on sale, and we need to restock on some items, here's a list of what we need." He told his son handing him the list. "I would do it myself, but I have meetings at work I need to get to."
"Okay, I'll see you when you get back." Hiccup said taking the list to see what's on it.
"See you soon, Hiccup." Stoick said. "Have a good afternoon, Fishlegs, Heather, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Snotlout." He said before leaving to go to work.
Hiccup said his goodbyes to his team and grabbed Toothless and 2 other Bakugans, his Baku-Pod, his phone, and some headphones as he made his way out to the supermarket.
With Hiccup on his way to the Supermarket...
Hiccup was on his way to the supermarket listening to some music and started to sing along with the music. His singing voice was amazingly good, you could actually mistake his voice for Thijs Molendijk (a contestant from The Voice), Elvis Presley, and Garth Brooks combined. And funnily enough, the latter was the one he was listening to.

City's lookin' like a ghost town, on a moonless summer night.
Raindrops on the windshield; there's a storm movin' in.
He's headed back from somewhere that he never should have been.

Toothless was sitting in Hiccup's pocket listening to the Darkus Dragon Brawler sing about how some male who-man is cheating on a female hue-man, possibly his mate, and how every time the male who-man does it, the Thunder Rolls and Lightning strikes... somehow? He not sure who-mans can even make Thunder roll or make lightning strike on command.
"Ugh, I will never understand hue-mans or their strange cultures." Toothless sighed as he will never understand who-man culture.
At the Park from Chapter 2...
At the Park from Chapter 2, 3 kids have gathered around as 1 kid shows of his small collectionof different attributed Bakugan's.
"Whoa. Cool." The two kids said to the kid holding onto his small collection of Bakugans.
"Yeah, I'm pretty proud of them myself." A kid says smiling at his collection of Bakugans.
Suddenly, his collection of Bakugan's are kicked out of his hands by someone else tossing all of them into the air.
"What the?!" The kid asked with shocked surprise before looking at the person who did this. "Hey! What did you do that for?" The boy asks the person who kicked his Bakugan collection.
The person in question is a boy around the age of what appears to be 14 years old and looks to be somewhat Japanese. He is a somewhat muscular, not as muscular as Snotlout though, but is also thin, like an insect almost. He has a blue Mohawk with webbing patterns on the sides. He wears yellow shorts and a black tank top underneath a orange sleeveless vest. On his face is a cruel, but satisfied smile, his two Canines teeth are a bit longer and are curved a bit towards each other, making him look like he has the fangs of a spider. He has an orange Baku-Pod as well as an orange Baku-Cip. This is Meiwaku Gaichū, or just Gaichū.
"I dunno, maybe 'cause I felt like it you Worthless Pests." Gaichū says with his pestering grin. "Besides, you're too young to even be messing with Bakugans." He tells them.
"That still doesn't give you the right to do that!" A taller boy with red trimmed glasses and a pale blue shirt said.
"Just who do you think you are?!" The boy whose collection was kicked away by Gaichū asks.
"Yeah, So just get lost!" A boy wearing a green shirt tells Gaichū.
"How about YOU get lost you waste of space pests before I introduce you to my FISTS!" Gaichū shouts at the 3 boys, as he cracking his knuckles to emphasize his point.
"AHHH!" The 3 boys screamed in fear as they run away before they entered a world of pain from Gaichū.
"THAT'S IT RUN ON HOME TO MOMMY!" Gaichū shouted at the retreating boys, before looking at the Bakugan collection the boy left behind. "Heheheh, like taking candy from a baby." Gaichū said ready to steal the boys' Bakugan collection and add it to his own.
But before he even picked up the first Bakugan, he feels a change in the wind as a haunting voice speaks out from behind him.
"Hey, kid..." The voice echoes in the open space of the empty Park Fountain.
"Huh? Who's there?! Show yourself or else!" Gaichū calls out ready to steal some more Bakugan's.
Gaichū looks around the area to try the source of the voice's echo, but he doesn't see anything that can cause an echo, nothing at all.
"Up here to your left." The voice echos, telling Gaichū where it is.
Gaichū looks up and sees that the person's voice belongs to a male figure wearing some sort of cheap worthless Halloween costume (in Gaichū's opinion) sitting on a branch. He wore a black cape-like tailcoat that is only buttoned up around his chest with a midnight blue shirt underneath. He also wore a belt that wrapped around him multiple times and a circular belt buckle. He wore purple pants with a white stripe at the sides as well as black boots. His hair is shaggy with a haunting black color and purple streaks. He wears one red fingerless glove on his left hand and a royal purple glove on his right hand. On his face is a purple mask with a sharp 'M' shaped Persian red visor.
Gaichū probably doesn't (or does, he isn't paid to care) know this yet, but he is in the presence of the Bakugan Dragon Brawlers biggest threat, Masque.
"What's with the costume, freak?" Gaichū insults Masque's costume. "It ain't Halloween."
"The names Masque..." Masque introduced himself to Gaichū.
"That's nice... who cares, huh?" Gaichū asked not really caring about what this Masque pest has to say.
"It appears that you think you're quiet the Brawler, so... are you willing to test your skills, Meiwaku?" Masque asked Gaichū, wanting to see if he's wanting to do a little Brawl against him.
"Are you asking me to Brawl against you? Then bring it!" Gaichū says with a grin on his face. He didn't question how this Masque bug knew his name, and frankly he doesn't care. He's known as being the most Aggressive and the most Vicious Bakugan Brawler around on the leaderboard.
Masque then jumps off the branch he was sitting on and does a spin flip as he lands on his feet facing Gaichū as he pulls out his Transporter Card.
"Would you like to use me in this battle, Master?" Skrill asked Masque as he sat on Masque's shoulder, having stayed in Masque's cape-like tailcoat pocket.
"No need, this will be easy for me." Masque told the Darkus Lightning Wyvern.
"As you wish, Master." Skrill said before returning to his master's cape-like tailcoat pocket.
Gaichū then pulls out his Transporter Card.
"BAKUGAN FIELD OPEN!" Masque and Gaichū yelled out at the same time.
Masque's Transporter Card begins to glow Purple as Gaichū's Transporter Card begins to glow Red as the world around them slows down before coming to a stop like universe was just hit by the pause button except for the two Brawlers as they are both taken to the Bakugan Battle Field.
"I'll start..." Masque said kneeling down and pulling out a Doom Core from the empty field.
"Doom Core Set." Masque said dropping the Doom Core into the field.
The Doom Core enters the field as a black ripples out from where the Core entered the field. The battle between Gaichū and the Harbinger Of The Doom Dimension has now commence.
"GATE CARD SET!" Masque and Gaichū shout out throwing their first Gate Card onto the field.
Gaichū's 1st Gate Card lands in front of Masque's 1st Gate Card opposite of one another Brawler. Gaichū's Gate Card glows red and Masque's Gate Card glows purple as the two grow in size.
"Guess it's my turn." Gaichū said, knowing and not caring that Masque already went first by using that Doom Core or whatever it's called.
Gaichū pulls out his 1st Pyrus Bakugan from his Baku-Clip. He tossed his Pyrus Bakugan into the air.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Gaichū shouted as he caught is air-borne Bakugan and throws it onto the field.
Gaichū's Bakugan bounces off of his Gate Card and lands on his 1st Gate Card.
"PYRUS BARBETRA STAND!" Gaichū announced as his 1st Pyrus Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Rising up from Gaichū's first Gate Card was a gigantic Red and Orange Hornet-like Creature with 4 wings, 6 orange legs with the two at the front being larger, and a large green stinger.
"BBBZZZZZZZ!!!!" Pyrus Barbetra buzzed as it entered the battlefield.
"You don't stand a chance against my Pyrus Barbetra." Gaichū pridefully said to Masque, thinking that he probably is making this weirdo terrified in his opponent's mind.
But, Masque, however, was smiling as his Persian Red visor started to show every information about Gaichū's Barbetra in it, which the Pyrus Brawler hadn't taken any notice of.
'Nicely played, his Barbetra is a strong Insect Class Bakugan with a B-Power of 340. And add the fact that it's a Pyrus type as well, it's a good Insect Class Bakugan to start with.' Masque complimented Gaichū in his mind for his somewhat brilliant tactic for his Insect Class.

'But not good enough.' Masque mentally smirks, like he had already won, which, if Gaichū cared, he probably has.
"I think it's time to exterminate your Barbetra." Masque said loading a Bakugan in his Baku-Launcher.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Masque shouted as he launched his 1st Darkus Bakugan onto the field.
Masque's Bakugan went underneath Gaichū's Barbetra and landed on his own Gate Card.
"DARKUS SIEGE STAND!" Masque shouted as his Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Rising up from his 1st Gate Card was a giant violet skinned knight-like creature with yellow eyes and black armor with silver accents, wearing a purple silk cape and is seen holding a large jousting lance in its armored right hand.
"HURRAAAH!" Siege shouted as it rose from the Gate Card raising his lance into the sky.
"Hmm, Oh I'm so scared like your overgrown tin can has any chance against me, now then, how shall I counter?" Gaichū asks mockingly with confidence that could probably match the Pyrus Dragon Brawler.
Gaichū thinks for a moment and he got an idea for his counter. He then pulls out another Gate Card from his Gate Card holder.
"GATE CARD SET!" Gaichū shouted tossing his 2nd Gate Card next to Masque's 1st one.
Gaichū then pulled out his 2nd Pyrus Bakugan from his Baku-Clip.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Gaichū shouted as he tossed his Bakugan onto the battlefield which landed on his 2nd Gate Card.
"PYRUS MANTONOID STAND!" Gaichū shouted as his Bakugan revealed it's true form to be a Mantis-like Bakugan like Mantris, but appeared more vicious with it leaning forward.
Rising up from Gaichū's second Gate Card was a Mantris-like Bakugan, but it has more orange, red, and yellow than a normal Pyrus Mantris and was much bigger than it's cousin, Mantris. And it's cerci's looked more like scythes than Mantris' ones.
"SKREEEEEEE!!!" Gaichū's Mantinoid screeches as it enters the battlefield and slashes both it's cerci's like a wild animal intent on terrifying its' opponent.
"Pyrus Mantonoid stands with 360 B's." Masque's Glasses told him in a menacingly deep tone.
But Masque is not even impressed by Mantonoid's intimidation attempt, in fact, he actually chuckles at it trying to scare him.
'Okay, my Gate Card gives my Pyrus Mantonoid another 200 B's that will bring it up to 560 B's. Which should take care of anything this worthless insect has to throw at me.' Gaichū thought to himself as he went over his plan in his mind.
Masque pulled out another Gate Card and tossed it onto the field.
"GATE CARD SET! HA!" Masque shouted as he tossed his second Gate Card, which landed right next to where Pyrus Barbetra is standing on to it's left.
Masque then loaded another Bakugan into his Baku-Launcher.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Masque shouted launching his Bakugan onto the field as it landed on his 2nd Gate Card.
"DARKUS RYERAZU STAND!" Masque announced as his 2nd Bakugan opened up and revealed it's true form.
Rising up from Masque's 2nd Gate Card is a gigantic three-headed living black (color, not skin color) mandrake-like monster with a purple underbelly and lower jaw with green armor pads on certain parts of it's body and is standing upon 4 legs that look like they could be used as claymores. It's 3 heads have no eyes, but it doesn't need them.
"KRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Masque's Ryerazu 3 heads all screeched out as it enters the battle.
"Darkus Ryerazu, Classification: Plant Class. B-Power: 2-0-0 B's. No other information is available at the moment." Gaichū's Baku-Pod informs him of the 3-headed Mandrake Bakugan.
"You call that a counter attack, HAH! I've seen snails more terrifying than that." Gaichū insults Masque's choice of picking Darkus Ryerazu. "You're going down after this!" He said ready to throw his last Bakugan.

BIG Mistake.
"You won't be saying that after this." Masque told him as he picked up a Baku-Core and tossed it at his Ryerazu.
The Baku-Core spun around Masque's Ryerazu before the Bakugan's middle head bit down on it and absorbed it's energy.
"ABILITY ACTIVATE: NECTAR LURE!" Masque shouted as Ryerazu activated it's ability.
"That probably isn't good." Gaichū said not knowing what the ability, Nectar Lure, is.
"You talk big for someone so small, so let's see if you can still back it up." Masque told Gaichū. "And just for my amusement, I'll give you a little explanation about Nectar Lure, It works the same way as the Ability: Attraction, but on a much stronger scale, Nectar Lure attracts any and all Insect Class from either player to the Bakugan using the ability. And it can only be used by Plant Class Bakugan's." He said to Gaichū.
Darkus Ryerazu released a purple smoke from all of it's three heads which had a sweet and enticing nectar smell that was hard to resist.
Suddenly, Gaichū's Pyrus Barbetra and Mantonoid eyes glowed a bit as the sweet smelling aroma reached the two Pyrus Insect Bakugans' The two then started to move towards Darkus Ryerazu.
And when the two Bakugan's were standing on the same Gate Card that Darkus Ryerazu was on. Masque's Ryerazu stopped releasing the aroma releasing the two Insects Class Bakugan's from it's sweet hypnotic smelling control.
Baku-Cores then started to appear on the field.
"Hey, what's the big deal? You already wanting to lose, huh? It's now a two-on-one, so you must really want to lose. Because my Barbetra and Mantonoid are going to eat your Ryerazu for breakfast." Gaichū insulted Masque again.
But, what he didn't know is...

This was Masque's plan from before the start of this Brawl.
"You really have no idea who you're dealing with, do you?" Masque asked Gaichū.
"GATE CARD OPEN!" Masque shouted as the Gate Card that Darkus Ryerazu, Pyrus Barbetra, and Pyrus Mantonoid were standing on glowed purple.
The Gate Card opened up revealing a Subterra Ryerazu bursting out of the ground beneath in a form of a surprise attack.
Suddenly, A dark storm appeared where the 3 Bakugan's were it was thick and heavy, nearly hard to see anything. Masque's Darkus Ryerazu inner mouth glowed purple as it absorbed the dark energy before the storm covered it up.
When the storm died down, Ryerazu was gone leaving no trace of it disappearing behind.
"Huh?! Where'd that weed go?!" Gaichū demanded answers.
Suddenly, the earth beneath started to shake as Masque's Ryerazu suddenly bursted forth from beneath the two Insect Class Pyrus Bakugan's as Darkus Ryerazu attacked Mantonoid using it's left head.
The left head extended like a rapidly growing vine and grabbed the Pyrus Mantonoid, curved to the right before it quickly pulled it's head back and letting go, slamming the Pyrus Mantris cousin into the ground with extreme force.
A menacing black portal opened up and took Gaichū's Pyrus Mantonoid into a one way ticket to the Doom Dimension as the portal then closed after the Bakugan was inside the portal.
But Masque's Ryerazu wasn't finished just yet, The Darkus mandrake-like Bakugan right head tried to grab Gaichū's Pyrus Barbetra, but the hornet-like Bakugan avoided the attack, but it didn't avoid the attack from the middle head as the left and right heard grabbed both of it's large front legs before pulling Pyrus Barbetra towards Ryerazu as it slammed both of it's front claymore-like legs down onto the Bakugan, embedding it into the ground/Gate Card.
A black menacing portal appeared and took Gaichū's Pyrus Barbetra into the Doom Dimension before closing just like before.
Gaichū was in awed shock from the power this guy has, he took down two of his strongest Bakugan's with only one ability and a Gate Card in one move.
"Whoa, h-he took both of them at once." Gaichū said with awe.
"Unfortunate for your Mantonoid and Barbetra, but there's no escape from the unstoppable force of the Doom Dimension." Masque said with a smile on his face.
"H-How can I even defeat that?" Gaichū asks as he fell to his knees, but it wasn't in defeat, more like in fearful respect.
"Sorry, don't know how to break it to you. But you're "strong" Bakugan's are never, ever, coming back." Masque said as he slowly walks over towards Gaichū, collecting his Darkus Seige and his Gate Cards.
"You're kidding right?" Gaichū asked Masque.
"When it comes to Bakugan, Meiwaku Gaichū." Masque said as his Persian visor reflected Gaichū's face. "I'm deadly serious." He said.
"Now then, I have a little deal for you..." Masque said with a smile on his face.
With Astrid...
We cut to a restaurant with some Gladious, Lilac, Orchids, and Hyacinth flowers planted outside underneath a window. It's quaint, but still gives off a "don't mess with us" aura. On the front it reads, "The Hofferson's Family Brothel".
The Hofferson's Brothel, which is more of a Diner than it is a brothel, but they call it a brothel since it kinda looks like those ones you've seen in movies, built by the first generation of Hoffersons, is a somewhat famous and infamous place to be but has a... kinda bad reputation, that reputation being... Astrid is TERRIBLE at cooking, during the holidays, Astrid will sell her own homemade yaknog, which is supposedly said to be like eggnog, but instead made with yak milk, it made everyone who tried it want to yaknog all over the place. Her parents do know about her... not so delicious cooking, but they let her keep doing it, for her sake.
"Ugggh, there's barely anyone here, dad. Working at the family Brothel can be boring at times." Astrid groaned bored as Stormfly was hiding in Astrid's satchel.
Astrid's Father, Mr. Hofferson, is of a large, stout build with a rounded face, brown hair and a similar colored bushy beard. He is seen wearing a yellow shirt with a dark blue apron, brown leather pants and dark brown boots.
"Aww, come on, Astrid. Don't say that, we love having you around. And we do have one customer here." Astrid Father said trying to cheer his daughter up he was behind the counter cleaning the counter.
"You mean Sticky Joe? He always comes here." Astrid said pointing at an old elderly bohemian man, who appears to be homeless. He is wearing a trapper hat, a green top, forest green pants, torn green gloves, socks that don't even match one another, and a stained sweater.
"Howdy!" The elderly man, Sticky Joe, happily says and waves his hand as he was seen eating a can of beans with a spoon and gave a friendly smile.
"Howdy, Sticky Joe." Astrid and Astrid's Father say their hellos to the kind homeless man.
Sticky Joe might be the only person who actually LIKES Astrid's cooking. But whether this is from the goodness of his heart or him being kind to Astrid they will never know as he only says "Howdy!", but either way the Hofferson's let him have free cans of beans whenever he comes by.
"But you know we can't make any money if there aren't that many people to serve to, besides Sticky Joe." Astrid said.
"I call it a midday slump." Astrid's Father says.
"You call it a lot of things, dad." Astrid corrects him.
Astrid's mom was behind the counter cleaning the dishes.
Astrid's Mother, Mrs. Hofferson, is a stout woman with a round face and blonde hair of a shade slighly darker than Astrid's own hair, separated into thick braids that hang over her shoulders. She is wearing a brown shirt with a beige skirt and a brass buckle around her waist as well as a pair of dark brown boots.
"You should be proud of your family's business, Astrid. Your father is constantly talking about you. And this place used to start out as a training ground for our ancestors to train and practice when invaders attacked Berk back in the day, you know. That is until, your great great great grandpa's uncle, Fearless Finn Hofferson, was killed here by something that made him apparently be "frozen in fear" and die from heart attack." Astrid's mother says reminding her daughter of her families history.
"I know, mom. You kept telling me that story ever since I was 6." Astrid says. "The only description of the supposed killer was some sort of blue ghostly glow flying away into the night sky. And to this day, we have lost our dignity due to Fearless Finn becoming scared of some unseen force." She said repeating the next lines that her mother would tell her, it always made her curious as to what killed her great great great uncle, but over the years she lost interest, but something in the back of her mind always kept her wanting to solve the cause of her great great great uncle's mysterious killer that froze the fearless man in fear.
"She's right, Astrid. I even turned this place into a shrine for you and our family." Mr. Hofferson looking around at the pictures of his daughter and their ancestors, some of them being drawings.
"You'd think there be at least more than three photos of me. But no." Mrs. Hofferson says to her daughter counting only their wedding picture, their daughter when she was 5 years old, and a family picture of them all when Astrid was 10. "Now you know why I am in Therapy." She says covering her mouth with her hand to avoid her husband from listening, but he heard anyways.
"Hey, can't a father be proud of his only warrior?" Mr. Hofferson sheepishly said with a hand behind his head.
"Well, I got the most freakiest parents on Berk." Astrid said causing her mother and her father to chuckle a bit.
"Say, Astrid, you mind running down to the supermarket since we're running slow today?" Mrs. Hofferson asks her daughter.
"Yeah, sure." Astrid said agreeing to do anything to not get bored.
"I heard on an ad that the local supermarket is having a meat sale. And if you hurry, I could make you some of your favorite, chicken meatballs." Mrs. Hofferson said to her daughter.
Astrid started to drool a bit when her mom said Chicken Meatballs, they were her absolute favorite as well as Stormfly's favorite, but that could be said about any cooked chicken.
"Okay, Mom, I'll try to be back soon. See you later. Bye, Sticky Joe." Astrid said her goodbyes as she headed out, with her Baku-Pod in her purse and her Baku-Clip on her side.
Mr. and Mrs. Hofferson waves their goodbyes as Sticky Joe waves his hand as well before going back to eat his beans as Astrid heads out the door.
At the SuperMarket...
The local Supermarket is huge, like you could fit 10 different supermarkets and you'd still have room, people were talking with one another either at or past the register, at small restaurants in the building, or in the aisles.
Hiccup was walking out of the meat aisle, almost finished with his list as the last thing was meat, as he was listening to his music his eyes closed and unaware but somehow managing to get out of the way of people like he had a Spider-Sense.
Astrid was walking down to the meat aisle to grab some chicken, her eyes were closed as she hummed a tune she listened to from her Phone.
Unaware of the other's presence as they both walked down the same aisle, the two accidentally walked right into each other knocking the Darkus Dragon Brawler and the Aquos Dragon Brawler onto their rears on the floor.
"Ahh!" Hiccup screamed as he walked right into Astrid.
"Ahh!" Astrid screamed as she walked right into Hiccup.
"Ow! Hey's what's the bid idea..." Hiccup and Astrid winced as he/she rubbed his/her forehead before going silent as he/she looked at who he/she ran into.
"A-Astrid!" Hiccup stuttered with shock.
"Hiccup!" Astrid said with shock.
"W-What are you doing here?" Hiccup asked wondering what his crush was doing here.
"I came to do some errand." Astrid explained as she gave a soft smile, before noticing that Hiccup wasn't wearing his glasses. "Hey, where are your glasses, Hiccup?" She asked him.
"Huh? O-Oh, I uh... I uh... didn't notice I wasn't wearing them. I'll put them back on." Hiccup said as he reached into his pocket to grab his fake glasses to put them back on.
"No, No. You, actually look pretty good without them on." Astrid said complimenting how her Ex-Team Leader looked without his glasses as the only time he ever took them off was for intimidation or a battle.
"R-Really? T-T-Thanks." Hiccup stuttered as he blushes from Berk's finest student. He was trying his best not to freeze up.
"Here let me help you up." Astrid said with a hand stretched out as she got up.
"Thanks." Hiccup said, not stuttering as he smiled.
A little while later...
After the two had accidentally walked into each other, and after they cleaned up some of the groceries Hiccup had spilt when the two walked into each other, they started to talk to one another. Where the two live, what they are doing now, just a simple conversation.
"So, we could be neighbors, huh?" Hiccup asked Astrid since Astrid's house was probably close to Hooligan Avenue and Chief Lane.
"Yeah, I guess we could be if you look at it that way." Astrid said thinking about it for a moment.
Astrid thinks for a moment of a way to pass the time and to see how good their skills are after there battle against one another for the title of Leader of the Bakugan Dragon Brawlers 6 months ago.
"I have an idea, let's have a battle." Astrid said holding out an Aquos Bakugan of her own.
"Y-You mean right now?" Hiccup asked as this came out of no-where.
"No, I mean later at the park. Just to see how much our skills changed after 6 months against each other." Astrid said to him, but to Hiccup and Astrid, a bit, it sounded sort of like she was asking him on a date.
"No, thanks Astrid. I've gotten pretty good, and even if I win and get Rank 2, it just wouldn't feel right." Hiccup said.
Astrid understood what Hiccup meant, if he beats her he'll just get a short cut instead of going through the ranks like every other Brawler.
"But, uh, I would l-like to go to the park with you." Hiccup stuttered as he started blushing in embarrassment as Astrid blushed as well. "A-Anyways, catch you later, Astrid." He said heading off to the self-checkout.
Astrid just stood there in shock, she didn't mean to make herself sound like she wanted to go on a date with him, it just came out. She looked down at the floor wondering what just happened.
That's when she noticed Hiccup forgot his Baku-Pod when the two walked into each other.
"He dropped his Baku-Pod." Astrid said as she picked up Hiccup's Baku-Pod.
"Welcome, Hiccup." The synthesized male voice spoke. "You have got 1 new message."
"A message?" Astrid asked as she opened up the message. Inside there was a video clip as she played it.
The screen loaded the video before it started to play as the screen showed the arch-nemesis of the Dragon Brawlers...

Masque.
"Hello, Hiccup. Masque here with a little invitation just for you. Meet me at river this afternoon, you know which one I'm talking about. 3:00 sharp. Come alone, if you know what's good for you." Masque's video said.
"I hate that creep." Astrid said angered at Masque stealing the Rank 1 spot from her as well as all of the Bakugans. "Sorry, Hiccup, but someone's got to stop him..."
She then tightens her grip on Hiccup's Baku-Pod.
"And that someone, is going to be me." She said gripping onto Hiccup's Baku-Pod.
With Hiccup...
Hiccup was out of the supermarket as was heading his way home. He was probably gonna be late before his dad came back home.
"Oh, man I really got to step on it. I'm gonna be late. Dad's going to be pissed." Hiccup said before looking at Baku-Pod, only to notice that it's missing.
"Huh? Hey, my Baku-Pod." Hiccup said. "Aw man, I must have dropped it when Me and Astrid walked into each other. And by now, she probably picked it up. I gotta go back and get it." He said.
That's when he noticed Astrid walking out of the supermarket and heading off somewhere, he noticed a bit of purple and black in her hands, and if he had to bet, that was his Baku-Pod, just like he figured.
"Now where is she off to?" Hiccup wondered where Astrid is going as he quietly followed behind her.
The River from episode 3 and 4...
We cut to the same bridge and River from Episode 3 and Episode 4 as Astrid had just arrived there early to the area and waited for Masque to show up.
She looked around the area after the time hit 3:00, then she heard the sound of rocks crunching under the steps of shoes ahead of her and saw, not Masque, but instead Gaichū.
She didn't know this, but Hiccup had just arrived and was watching the scene, he had his hand on his Transporter Card just in case.
"Who the heck are you?" Gaichū asked, in his right wrist was a Baku-Launcher, indicating he was now working for Masque.
"The names Astrid Hofferson, maybe you've heard of me?" Astrid answered and asked Gaichū a question. "And it appears Masque has sent someone else to battle for him again." She said as Hiccup told the team about how Masque is now hiring kids to do his dirty work after the rematch against Shaun.
"Astrid..., Astrid... Oh, now I remember you're the little girl who was at the top 1st rank but was beaten by my boss." Gaichū said with a taunting tone.
"He didn't beat me, he stole it from me." Astrid corrected Gaichū with an angered glare.
"Believe what you want, princess. I don't care anyways." Gaichū said with an insulting tone to his voice. "Anyways, my battle is suppose to be against some loser named Hiccup." Gaichū said as he insulted Hiccup's name. "Not some damsel thinking she's tougher than a fly."
Hiccup sucked in air thru closed teeth as he knew you should never call Astrid a damsel or insult her strength.
Now Astrid was pissed at this little brat thinking he's tougher than her just because he can talk to her and Hiccup like that. That's NOT gonna happen, no way.
"Why I oughta-!" Astrid shouted at Gaichū.
"You oughta what? Punch me? I bet you're punches are as strong as a pillow fort." Gaichū smack-talk back at Astrid as he held a winning grin on his face.
"Hiccup isn't a loser, he's the strongest brawler I have ever met." Astrid said angered at Gaichū insulting her.
Hiccup blushed at Astrid defending him as well as complimenting him on his strength.
"You mean you beat Hiccup?" Gaichū asked shocked that a girl beat the supposedly powerful Hiccup.
"6 months ago, he made me the new Leader of the Bakugan Dragon Brawlers after I defeated him." Astrid said with proud confidence.
Hiccup looked away with guilt, knowing that isn't true, he just gave her an easy win without her knowing it.
"So did you come here to talk smack or are you here to Battle, Mr. Big Shot? Because I'm here to challenge you!" Astrid said as she pointed a finger at Gaichū.
"Okay, but you'll be sorry. Cuz I'm gonna exterminate you." Gaichū said with a confident and snide smirk as he grabbed his Transporter Card.
Astrid didn't say another word as she pulled out her Transporter Card.
The two then shouted at the same time...

"BAKUGAN FIELD OPEN!"
Astrid's Transporter Card glowed Blue as Gaichū's Transporter Card glowed Red as the Bakugan Battlefieldwas about to open and slow down time outside.
"Wait! Hang on! Field Open!" Hiccup shouted as he chased after Astrid and Gaichū as the field was opening, his Transporter Card glowed Purple as he rushes in.
The Bakugan Battlefield...
The world around Astrid, Gaichū, and Hiccup started to completely change. Now they were standing in a large field that could be considered multiple football fields, apart from the big white field they stood on and the sky changed showing the color of the 6 elements swirling together.
Hiccup ran up to Astrid still carrying the groceries he bought with him.
"Astrid, what do you think you're doing?" Hiccup asked Astrid as she jumped and looked behind her to see her Original Team Leader standing behind her carrying a bag full of groceries.
"H-Hiccup?!" Astrid said startled. "What are you doing here? Were you following me?" She questioned getting mad since Gaichū called her a damsel and now Hiccup had followed her.
"Sort of, yeah. I was looking for my Baku-Pod and figured you might have picked it up." Hiccup said not stuttering this time as he put a hand behind his head.
"O-Oh, yeah. Sorry about that." Astrid stuttered a bit as she reached into her satch and pulled out Hiccup's Baku-Pod.
"Thanks." Hiccup thanked her as he puts his Baku-Pod on his wrist. He then sees he has got a message from someone.
"I got a message?" Hiccup questioned as he saw the message and watched the video.
Astrid gasp slightly thinking her plan to find and defeat Masque was finished.
"You're not Masque. That's for sure." Hiccup said with a determined glare at Gaichū.
"Oh, so you can see. That's good, thought I would win against someone who's blind." Gaichū said trying to get under Hiccup's skin.
But Hiccup knows better as he is starts to breathe in slowly and breathe out slowly while saying to himself "Freak it out? Breathe it out..." over and over again until he is calmed.
"Uh, Hello? Waiting to battle over here, you can finish making out when I make you go home crying like a little pest." Gaichū said from the other side of the battlefield.
Hiccup and Astrid blushed at the same time when Gaichū said that.
"WE ARE NOT DATING!" Hiccup and Astrid shouted at the same time as they blushed in embarrassment.
"You keep telling yourselves that." Gaichū said with a roll of his eyes.
Astrid then turns her attention to Hiccup to plead to him to let her fight this battle.
"Hiccup. I know what you're thinking, but let me battle him, I want to get back at Masque for stealing the 1st Rank. Masque was the one who set up this battle and he'll keep stealing more Bakugan's if you don't trust me to take him on as well." Astrid said wanting to battle Gaichū, he may not be Masque, but she wants to beat this brat for insulting her and Hiccup. "I know it's a big deal for you, but it does for me to prove to you as a good Leader to the team."
"I dunno..." Hiccup said as he looked at Astrid thinking of what to do.
"Come on, come on! Can you two hurry up and get this show on the road already." Gaichū said impatiently as he tapped his foot over and over again.
Hiccup was ignoring Gaichū, as he was deep in thought thinking about what Astrid said to him, his eyes closed as he tuned the world out for a moment.
He then opens his eyes and looks at Astrid with a powerful determined stare at her. He then looked at Gaichū with a confident smirk as he held his determined stare.
"Keep you're shirt on..." Hiccup said with a confident smirk. "Are you planning to lose so quickly?"
"Huh?" Astrid and Gaichū said confused by Hiccup's tone.
"Because Astrid is gonna beat you big time!" Hiccup said deciding NOT to battle against Gaichū and let Astrid battle for him and increase her confidence as a Leader.
"Really?" Astrid asked with a hopeful and happy tone in her voice.
Hiccup doesn't say a word but looks at her with a confident and compassionate look and smile, respectfully, as he nods his head.
Astrid smiles as she turns to look at Gaichū with a determined look in her eyes.
Astrid and Gaichū then pulled out their 1st Gate Cards from their Gate Card Holders.
Hiccup stood beside her to give her points and tips for anything that she needs.
"GATE CARD SET!" Astrid and Gaichū both yell out.
They both throw their Gate Cards onto the field as they grew in size to that of a football field and landing opposite of one another.
Gaichū then forcefully peels a Doom Core from the empty field with one hand.
"Doom Core Set." Gaichū said as the tossed the Doom Core onto the field as a black ripples rippled out from the field.
'Okay, Astrid you got this, It's all or nothing.' Astrid thought to herself as she looked at Hiccup who gives her a comforting thumbs up. She then looks at the Aquos Bakugan in her hand.
"Everything rides on you." Astrid said as she clenched her Bakugan.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Astrid shouted as she threw her Bakugan into the air with a curve as her Bakugan curved and landed on the side of Gaichū's Gate Card.
"AQUOS FADE NINJA STAND!" Astrid shouted as her Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Quickly launching into the air and landing back down in a pose, it's right leg far out and it's left leg in as it's arms were posed like it was about to throw something or about to slice something up, was a blue, sliver, and black Ninja-Like Bakugan carrying a long, curved, ninja sword.
"...!!!" Aquos Fade Ninja silently huffed as it stood up from it's pose but held a defensive stance.
"Aquos Fade Ninja, Classification: Humanoid Class, B-Power: 2-1-0 B's. Relies on taking opponents down quickly without slowing down. Beware of it's mirages." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them both.
"So what do you think of that as a opening move, Hiccup?" Astrid asked Hiccup as she used Fade Ninja from time to time, but not often. But she didn't get a response from the Darkus Dragon Brawler. "Hiccup!" She said looking at Hiccup who was deep in thought as he looked at her Fade Ninja with an analyzing and calculative eye.
'Using a Fade Ninja is a good opening move if you know what to do, but if you don't you're finished before the battle even begins.' Hiccup thought to himself.
He remembered the first time using and training with his own Fade Ninja, it was difficult at first but as he slowly understood his Darkus Ninja Bakugan, his Bakugan was teaching him how to be a ninja without doing anything but spending time with Hiccup.
"Hiccup?!" Astrid shouted at Hiccup startling him for a bit.
"Yes, Astrid?" Hiccup asked.
"I asked how do you think of using Fade Ninja for an opening move?" Astrid asked him again with a concern tone.
"It's a risky strategy you're doing, but it can give you a high reward when you play your cards at the right moment." Hiccup told her not looking at her with a finger on his lips. "But other than that, it's not bad." He said that to Astrid, looking at her.
"Good. Now to put this plan into action." Astrid said confident her plan will work.
"Really? You're Bakugan is in pajamas!" Gaichū taunted Astrid, insulting her Aquos Fade Ninja's clothing. "I bet the only thing it will do is go to sleep! HA HA HA HA!" He laughed.
"Oh, sorry If a girl like me can't battle like you." Astrid said in a sickly sweet tone mocking Gaichū, before returning to her normal confident tone.
"My turn to play, hope you have Bug Spray!" Gaichū said as he loaded up his first Pyrus Bakugan into his Red and Black Baku-Launcher.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Gaichū shouted as he launched his first Bakugan onto the battlefield.
The Bakugan bounced off of Astrid's Gate Card and landed right on Gaichū's Gate Card as it knock Fade Ninja back a bit.
"PYRUS WEBAM STAND!" Gaichū shouted as his 1st Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Crawling out of the Gate Card, is a giant red spider-like Bakugan with an orange underbelly and 8 green eyes arranged in the shape of an upside-down diamond appeared standing on it's 8 orange and red legs.
"SKREEEEE!!!!" Gaichū's Pyrus Webam screeched.
"Pyrus Webam, B-Power: 2-2-0 B's, Classification: Insect Class. Beware of it's versatile movements and agility." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them both.
Baku-Core then started to appear randomly on the field the main colors being red and blue.
"GATE CARD OPEN NOW!" Gaichū shouted wanting to activate his Gate Card right now. "LET'S EXTERMINATE THIS PEST, WEBAM!" He shouted.
Gaichū's Gate Card glowed red as a tornado of fire engulfed Webam before it formed armor made of fire on it's abdomen, it's legs, and it's head.
"Pyrus Webam's power has increased by 1-0-0 B's, B-Power is now 3-2-0 B's." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them.
"SKREEEEE!!!" Pyrus Webam screeches as it stands on it's 6 legs and swings it's 2 front legs.
Pyrus Webam then fired out 2 spiraling streams of fire heading right at Astrid's Fade Ninja, ready to send it to the Doom Dimension.
"Not so fast!" Astrid said as she picked up a blue Baku-Core and threw it at her Aquos Fade Ninja. "ABILITY ACTIVATE: DIVISION DISTRACTION!" She shouted.
She tossed her Baku-Core at her Aquos Fade Ninja as the blue Baku-Core spun around before being sliced in half as the ninja-like Bakugan absorbed the energy of water.
Just as Pyrus Webam's attack landed, a large and thick cloud of smoke appeared once it landed as you could barely see anything.
After a couple of minutes the smoke started to disappeared and clear up letting the Brawlers see what happened.
"Hah, looks like your Ninja was a Non-ja!" Gaichū insulted Astrid's Fade Ninja again as he laughed again.
"I wouldn't be talking so soon, take a look again." Astrid said with a calm and confident tone as she smirked.
Gaichū was confused at first but when he looked again his eyes widen in shock and surprise.
The reason for this surprise is that Fade Ninja was not even there at all, instead in Aquos Fade Ninja's place was a wooden/straw dummy wearing the same clothings as Fade Ninja as parts of it's body was burnt from Webam's fire.
A menacing black portal opened up beneath the fake Fade Ninja and swallowed it up taking the fake to the Doom Dimension.
"WHAT?! HOW?! Where did your Bakugan go?! Why did that one go to the Doom Dimension?" Gaichū asked angered, confused, and startled by the missing Bakugan that was just there moments ago.
"Simple, Division Distraction." Astrid said smiling as she picked up another Baku-Core, this one glowing blue.
"Huh?" Gaichū said confused as he has never heard that ability.
"Whenever a Bakugan has a higher B-Power than Fade Ninja, I can use this special humanoid class ability to create a weaker copy of Fade Ninja, one meant to be destroyed and use it to perform one action whenever the condition for the ability activated; be it allowing me to attack, power-up, even decrease the enemies B-Power." Astrid said as she tossed her Blue Baku-Core at Pyrus Webam, who's fire armor evaporated once the Bakugan absorbed the core. "And as an added bonus, it counts as a Bakugan, but doesn't count for the Gate Card."
"And I choose to decrease your B-Power." Astrid said with confidence.
"Pyrus Webam's B-Power has decreased by 1-2-0 B's. B-Power now at 2-0-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them.
Suddenly, Aquos Fade Ninja appeared out of nowhere from above Pyrus Webam in a cloud of white smoke as Fade Ninja pulled out some small firework bombs and threw it at Webam, blinding the Bakugan for a moment, as it then pulled out it's ninja sword, that was sheathed into it's sheath behind it's waist, as the ninja-like Bakugan started to fall before landing on top of Pyrus Webam with it's sword stuck between the spider Bakugan's abdomen and head.
"...!" Aquos Fade Ninja silently shouted as it twist it's blade to the side to finish Pyrus Webam.
And just like that, The Pyrus Spider-Like Bakugan screeched out in pain, before it glowed red and rolled back to Gaichū's foot.
The Baku-Cores disappeared from the battlefield.
Astrid caught Gaichū's 1st Gate Card and her Aquos Fade Ninja as they flew to her.
The score is Astrid: 1, Gaichū: 0.
"How did you do that? You're Bakugan was just 10 B's stronger than mine!" Gaichū shouted demanding answers.
"That's the point, even the smallest amount of B'-Power can make a big difference." Hiccup said to Gaichū.
"Gah! I don't need advice from you, twerp!" Gaichū shouted as Round 2 began.
"This is easy, I'll just use Fade Ninja again and use Division Distraction." Astrid said overconfident in her ability now.
"No." Hiccup said stopping her just as she grabbed her Aquos Fade Ninja. "Save Fade Ninja for a later Round, he'll just be prepared for a move like that now."
"Your right." Astrid said agreeing with Hiccup.
"Hey aren't you going to use you're Fade Ninja again? Or are you that much of a chicken? Bawk, bawk, bawk!" Gaichū taunted Astrid as he bawked like a chicken.
"Let me handle him, Lady Astrid." Stormfly said flying out of Astrid's Baku-Pod.
"No, I have a better strategy. You'll just have to trust me and wait." Astrid said as she put Fade Ninja away and grabbed her 2nd Bakugan.
"As you wish, Lady Astrid." Stormfly said as she perched herself on Astrid's right shoulder.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Astrid shouted as she threw her Bakugan onto the battlefield as it landed on her Gate Card.
"AQUOS GORTHION STAND!" Astrid shouted as her Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Jumping up into the air and landing with a might THUD, a gigantic blue and light blue Gorilla-like Bakugan stood on Astrid's 1st Gate Card.
"RAAAH! AHHH! AAAAH!" Aquos Gorthion screamed as it bared it's sharp teeth out and pounded it's chest at the same time.
"Aquos Gorthion, Classification: Beast Class, B-Power: 2-9-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pods informs them.
"Are you sure that your plan will work?" Hiccup asked Astrid as he looked at her.
"But-" Hiccup said worried that her plan might fall apart and she get angry at Stormfly like he did with Toothless.
"Just trust me, Hiccup." Astrid told him.
"Snotlout is right about me not being a good leader to the team. But I know I can beat this guy." Astrid said. "You gave me this title of being the leader as well as this chance to prove myself to you that I am more than capable of being a leader." Astrid said, but her tone sounded like she was trying to prove herself that she is a good leader and not proving Hiccup she is a good leader.
"Gah! You're little love-fest is making me sick." Gaichū said as he gagged at his opponent.
He then loaded another Pyrus Bakugan into his Baku-Launcher.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Gaichū shouted as his 2nd Pyrus Bakugan launched from his Baku-Launcher and landed on the only Gate Card that Aquos Gorthion was on.
"PYRUS PINCITAUR STAND!" Gaichū shouted as his 2nd Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Rising up from Astrid's Gate Card was a large sand crab/scorpion-like red and orange Bakugan. It had 6 legs, with two pincers that each held 3 claws and had an almost humanoid face between two pinchers.
"KRAAKAKA!" Gaichū's Pyrus Pincitaur screeched as it entered the battle.
"Pyrus Pincitaur stands at 3-8-0 B's." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs the two Dragon Brawlers of Water and Darkness.
Baku-Cores covered the battlefield the main colors being only red and blue.
Gaichū then raced over to a mildly strong glowing red Baku-Core and picked it up.
"ABILITY ACTIVATE: SCORCHING HEAT!" Gaichū shouted as he threw the Baku-Core at his Pincitaur.
The Baku-Core spun around Pyrus Pincitaur before the sand crab/scorpion-like Bakugan crushed it within it's 3 clawed pincer as it's body glowed red and absorbed the energy of Fire.
"Pincitaur's B-Power increased to 4-6-0 B's. Aquos Gorthion remains unchanged." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pods inform them both.
Pyrus Pincitaur's claws then caught on fire, but the Bakugan didn't seem to be fazed by this in the slightest bit.
Pyrus Pincitaur scurried it's way to Aquos Gorthion as it snipped it's claws as it kept getting closer and closer.
"Let's do this! COUNTER ABILITY ACTIVATE!" Astrid shouted as she raced over to a blue Baku-Core and threw it at Pyrus Pincitaur.
"Counter Ability detected Pyrus Pincitaur's Ability is neutralized. B-Power has returned to 3-8-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them.
The flames covering Pincitaur's claws dies out as Pincitaur halted it's attack.
"Heh! Now you're going to feel the full power of my insects!" Gaichū said with a terrifying glare at her.
"He's right, Astrid. That wasn't much of a move." Hiccup said, confused by her strategy. "His Pincitaur has power, and still lots of it."
"Utilize me, Lady Astrid." Stormfly demanded to save her Teammate.
"No. I can do this!" Astrid said confident in her plan.
"Huh?" Hiccup gave Astrid a questioning look wondering what she is planning if she had to decrease Gaichū's Pincitaur.
"Alright! Let's get this over with!" Gaichū shouted with an overconfident smirk.
"PINCITAUR ATTACK!" Gaichū shouted as he commanded his Pincitaur to attack Gorthion.
Pincitaur rushes forwards to attack the gorilla-like Bakugan.
"Just like I thought you would do." Astrid said confidently.
"GATE CARD OPEN!" Astrid shouted as her Gate Card opened.
"Now watch this, My Gate Card will increase my Aquos Gorthion B-Power to the Strongest Bakugan B-Power in my team, and that happens to be my partner, Stormfly!" Astrid shouted as blue rings covered Stormfly's and Gorthion's body as Gorthion's B-power increased to that of Stormfly B-Power.
"N-No way!" Gaichū said as his tone shifted from overconfidence to shock.
"B-Power increase detected, Aquos Gorthion B-Power Level increased to 3-4-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's, informs them.
"Yeah! Come and get it!" Astrid said with a smirk on her face.
"RAAAAH! AAAAH! AAAH!" Aquos Gorthion howled as it pounded it's chest again and bared it's teeth. It then charged after Pincitaur.
As soon as Pyrus Pincitaur was close enough to Aquos Gorthion, the Gorilla-like Bakugan raised both it's powerful arms into the air and slammed it's arms down upon the sand crab/scorpion-like Bakugan as Pincitaur stung Gorthion's left leg with it's stinger.
The Pyrus Bakugan glowed red before it returned to ball form and rolled back to Gaichū foot.
The score was now, Astrid: 2. Gaichū: 0.
The Baku-Cores disappeared from the battlefield once more.
"All right, Gorthion! Way to go! We won!" Astrid cheered for her Aquos Gorthion. "So how does it feel to lose to a girl, huh, tough guy?" Astrid asked Gaichū confidently.
"Nice play, Astrid. How did you figure out that Counter move?" Hiccup asked Astrid.
"Huh? O-Oh, it was easy. He battle a lot like Snotlout. He's kinda predictable." Astrid told Hiccup as the latter laughed.
"Ugh..." Stormfly said wanting to join the battle, but she is just being sidelined.
"Heh, you're comparing me to someone else, huh? Well, let's see how long that comparison lasts now." Gaichū chuckled lowly as he remembers an important fact about certain Insect Class Bakugans.
But, suddenly, Aquos Gorthion fell to it's knees as it clutched it's left leg as it screamed out in pain.
"What's wrong, Gorthion?" Astrid asked worried about her Bakugan as she then noticed greenish purple lines go throughout Gorthion, starting from it's left leg.
That's when she heard her Baku-Pod informs her of what is happening to her Bakugan.
"Aquos Gorthion's B-Power is quickly decreasing." Astrid's Baku-Pod informs her.
"What?! How!" Astrid asked with worry.
"Heh! I guess Pincitaur's venom effect is working it's charm." Gaichū said as his tone returned to normal as he remembered the unique effect that only certain Scorpion and Spider-like Insect Class Bakugans' have.
"What do you mean venom? What did you do to my Gorthion?" Astrid asked with anger.
That's when Hiccup spoke up, realizing what is happening.
"It means he played you Astrid, while he fell for your trap, you also fell for his." Hiccup said to Astrid understanding what Gaichū did. "Only certain Insect Class Bakugan's that look like Spiders and Scorpions have a venom effect that activates when they are defeated as a last ditch attempt or when the Bakugan wants to, it's unavoidable unless you have a Bakugan with a healing ability or a passive anti-venom effect." He explained what was happening to Aquos Gorthion to Astrid.
"Exactly! And there's nothing you can do to stop the poison from slowing down." Gaichū said with prideful confidence.
Aquos Gorthion fell over as a black menacing portal suddenly appeared and sucked Aquos Gorthion to the unescapable Doom Dimension.
The score was now Astrid with 2 Gate Cards, Gaichū with a Bakugan sent to the Doom Dimension.
"GORTHION!" Astrid shouted out as she didn't expect Pincitaurs' passive poisoning ability. "You'll pay for that!" She said as she pulled out another Gate Card.
"Sure, I'll pay... with your defeat!" Gaichū said as he pulled out his 2nd Gate Card.
"Grr." Astrid growled. "GATE CARD SET!" Astrid and Gaichū shouted as they threw their 2nd Gate Cards onto the Battlefield.
"It's all up to you now, Fade Ninja." Astrid said to her Fade Ninja.
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Astrid shouted as she threw Fade Ninja onto the battlefield.
"AQUOS FADE NINJA STAND!" Astrid shouted as Fade Ninja launched itself into the air and landed back on the Gate Card.
"..." Aquos Fade Ninja silently huffed in agreement to avenge it's fallen brethren.
"Good luck beating my poisonous Bakugans." Gaichū said as he pulled out his last and final Bakugan. He loaded the Pyrus Bakugan into the Baku-Launcher. "Because you're going down!"
"BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Gaichū shouted as he launched his final Bakugan onto the battlefield as it landed on Astrid's 2nd Gate Card. This match could determine if Astrid will win the match or if she will lose another Bakugan.
"PYRUS GARGANTULA STAND!" Gaichū shouted as his final Bakugan revealed it's true form.
Crawling out of Astrid's Gate Card was a gargantuan red and orange colored tarantula-like Bakugan. It had 4 humongous legs, each tipped with 3 venomous claws and 2 short arms with two claws on each hand that looked like they could rip about 50 men in half. On it's back is a black skull. It's 6 eyes, 4 of which were on top of its head, were a dark green color as two pinchers jutted upward.
"SKRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"The Pyrus GARGANTULA roared out shaking the earth with it.
"Pyrus Gargantula, Class: Insect Class, B-Power: 2-4-0 B's. Beware of it's venomous fangs and claws as well as it's mighty strength." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod warns them of Gargantula.
Baku-Cores covered the entire Battlefield, with the colors being red and blue again like last time.
"Do your very worse, Pyrus Gargantula! Show that Fade Ninja your mighty power!" Gaichū shouted at his Gargantula.
"Of course, master." Gaichū's Pyrus Gargantula spoke with a deep grating voice.
Just then, Gaichū noticed a Baku-Core right next to him glowing red as he smiled creepily having a plan form.
"And here, have a little snack as you do so!" Gaichū said as he threw the Baku-Core at his Gargantula.
The Baku-Core spun around Pyrus Gargantula before the tarantula-like Bakugan had bite down on it and absorbed the Baku-Cores Pyrus energy.
"ABILITY ACTIVATE: CONSUME!!!" Gaichū shouted as soon as his Partner Bakugan had absorbed the Baku-Core.
Suddenly, appearing up from the Gate Card, was Pyrus Pincitaur lying down in a defeated state like it did before when Aquos Gorthion defeated it.
"Hey, I defeated that Bakugan! Why are you bringing it back?" Astrid asked questioning why Pyrus Pincitaur was back.
But Hiccup realized this strategy as he's seen some Brawlers who use the "Consume" ability before in some brawls before he met Toothless.
"This isn't good." Hiccup said knowing that Gaichū has just activated a dangerous and powerful move.
But Pincitaur wouldn't be here for long as Gargantula picked up Pincitaur with his 2-digit clawed hands and started to eat the sand crab/scorpion-like Bakugan right there.
After 30 seconds, Gargantula then spat out Pyrus Pincitaur from his mouth, Pincitaur was missing it's stinger, pincer, and 2 of it's 6 legs were missing as well as one of it's eyes.
Gargantula glowed red for a moment as he roared out in power.
"SKRRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" Pyrus Gargantula roared out as all of it's eyes glowed a darker green.
"Pyrus Gargantula's B-Power increased from 2-4-0 B's to 6-2-0 B's." Astrid's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs the two.
Just then, a black menacing portal opened up and sucked Pyrus Pincitaur into the Doom Dimension before closing back up.
"What did you do?" Astrid asked terrified of what she saw Gaichū's Pyrus Gargantula had just done.
"That was Gargantula's ability: Consume. It allows Gargantula to take my strongest defeated Bakugans' B-Power and add it to it's own." Gaichū told Astrid. "That's the true power of the Insect Class, using one another to benefit the other." He said having a twisted smile.
"Now destroy Fade Ninja!" Gaichū commanded Gargantula to send Aquos Fade Ninja to the Doom Dimension.
"Not so fast! GATE CARD OPEN!" Astrid shouted as her Gate Card opened up.
Suddenly, a barrier of light separated Pyrus Gargantula from Aquos Fade Ninja. The Pyrus Tarantula was slamming against the barrier repeatedly trying to break it down, but it wouldn't go down.
"What are you doing?!" Gaichū demanded answers from Astrid. "You're not even battling!" He said.
"That's right." Astrid agreed with Gaichū. "I don't HAVE to." She said. "I'm tired of everyone losing something they worked hard for to get. Have it being named a Team Leader, having a Rank stolen, or even losing Bakugan's. This was supposed to be a fun game for us, but it has changed ever since Masque showed up." She told Gaichū.
Stormfly then flew gently into Astrid's palm as her Partner looked at her.
"Right, Stormfly?" Astrid asked her Partner Bakugan.
"You humans are all so full of surprises." Stormfly said agreeing with Astrid.
"I've been saving the best for last. I figure with you're power we could finish off his Gargantula and win this." Astrid told Stormfly.
"Your wish is my command, Lady Astrid." Stormfly said agreeing with Astrid's plan.
"Remember, we can't afford to loose this one. Fade Ninja is waiting for you." Astrid said.
"..." Fade Ninja looked back at Stormfly and Astrid and silently nodded it's head.
"I'm impressed by your patients, Lady Astrid. By my calculations if your strategy works it MAY result in our victory." Stormfly said looking at Fade Ninja.
"I appreciate your vote of confidence." Astrid said with true sincerity.
"You can rely on me to defeat that Gargantula." Stormfly said to Astrid as she looked at her partner.
"Alright." Astrid said with her pumping her fist.
"Let us get this over with, shall we?" Stormfly asked Astrid.
"Right! BAKUGAN BRAWL!" Astrid shouted as she threw Stormfly out onto the battlefield as it landed next to Aquos Fade Ninja.
"AQUOS NADDER STAND!" Astrid shouted as Stormfly opened up and revealed her true ball form as her eyes glowed before revealing her true form.
Flying up into the sky, was a beautiful looking bird-like bipedal Wyvern dragon of blue, yellow, and a smidge of red, color with a tan peach/beige underbelly and 3 yellow eyes. Her tail is blue are entirely covered in a series of yellow spines that can be used as projectiles. Her wings are of a darker shade of blue spots circled by yellow, and red spots closer to her reddish shoulders. Her wings have small black hooks at the end of the wing joints. In front of her eyes is a curved nasal horn. Her lower beak-like jaw is shorter and wider than her upper beak-like jaw, which gives her an overbite. Ringing Stormfly's skull is a series of spikes. Her legs have a small black feathering on the back of her legs and 4 black claws on the end of her toes.
"SKRRREEEEEAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" Stormfly screeches as she flies up into the sky.
"Aquos Nadder has enter the battlefield. Classification: Dragon Class, B-Power: 3-4-0 B's. Combining Aquos Fade Ninja and Aquos Nadder's B-Power together to 5-5-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them both.
"LET'S BRAWL!" Astrid's and Gaichū shouted at the same time.
As soon as the two Brawlers said that, the barrier of light dropped down, allowing the 2 Aquos Bakugans to battle against the Pyrus Bakugan.
And instantly, Pyrus Gargantula went for the attack as it went to attack Aquos Fade Ninja, but Fade Ninja quickly saw the attack and back-stepped away from Pyrus Gargantula, avoiding it's attack.
"You're mine!" Stormfly shouted at Pyrus Gargantula as she flew towards the tarantula-like Bakugan with her talons out.
As soon as Stormfly was close to Pyrus Gargantula's reach, the Bakugan pinned the Aquos Wyvern by the neck onto the floor with one leg before piercing Stormfly's skin with it's claws. Gargantula gave a evilly satisfied look at Stormfly as it did this.
But that look quickly went away as Fade Ninja quickly tackled Gargantula in it's side, causing the tarantula-like Bakugan to let go of it's grip.
"Hahaha! You can't beat my Gargantula! I have 70 B's more than you! And my Gargantula venom is already inside you're overgrown chicken!" Gaichū laughed victoriously as Stormfly started to feel the effects
That's when, out of no-where, Fade Ninja sheathed his sword and pulled out a small (technically the thing was about as tall as two humans) black box and opened it, Fade Ninja then grabbed something that resembles something similar to that of Satavari (Asparagus racemosus) as it started to crush the huge leaves together in the lid with a large stone chalk-like object and adding small amounts of water it created.
This action confused both Astrid and Gaichū, as neither of them have seen a Fade Ninja do this before, using one or against one.
But Hiccup has seen it, both with Fade Ninja and against Fade Ninja actually, it was a unique passive effect only Fade Ninjas could use it was a rare ability to use and needed to have certain conditions. It's also why he told Astrid to save Fade Ninja for later.
"What's going on with Fade Ninja?" Astrid asked confused.
"That Astrid is Fade Ninja's rarest used passive effects, "Medicinal Box", it allows Fade Ninja to cure itself or a teammate of any ailments that could cause instant defeat." Hiccup explained the passive effect to Astrid.
Fade Ninja then put the stone chalk-like object away in it's clothing before taking the liquified Satavari to Stormfly, who was already getting weaker as her eyes were nearly closed, and letting her drink the Satavari as well as rubbing it up against her neck where Gargantula injected it's venom into the bird-like wyvern Bakugan. Suddenly, the growing greenish purple lines quickly disappeared as soon as they appeared.
Stormfly's eyes quickly and suddenly opened up as she quickly got back up to her feet and roared out, feeling much better than before.
"Thank you, Fade Ninja." Stormfly thanked Aquos Fade Ninja for saving her life.
"..." Fade Ninja looked at Stormfly and gave her a thumbs up, accepting her thanks.
"Let's finish this you guys!" Astrid told Stormfly and Fade Ninja as she now had a blue glowing Baku-Core in her grasp.
"STORMFLY ABILITY ACTIVATE: MAGNESIUM SPINE-CLONE!" Astrid shouted as she tossed the Baku-Core at Stormfly.
The Baku-Core spun around Stormfly, before the Aquos Nadder chomped down on it absorbing it's energy as the spines on her tail started to rise up like a porcupine readying to defend itself from predators as the inside of her mouth started to glow a orangish-yellow glow as sparks appeared whenever she opened her mouth.
"Aquos Nadder's B-Power has increased by 1-5-0 B's. Combined B-Power is now at 7-0-0 B's." Gaichū's and Hiccup's Baku-Pod informs them both.
"S-Stop the attack, Gargantula!" Gaichū commanded his Gargantula as his voice was petrified.
Pyrus Gargantula was about to shot a web at Stormfly, but Fade Ninja tackled the Tarantula Bakugan, interrupting it's line of sight as Fade Ninja held Pyrus Gargantula off.
Stormfly then flew high up into the air before coming to a stop and started to descend down towards Gargantula as she opened her mouth and let out a torrent of concentrated sparks of magnesium as soon as she was half way at Gargantula before going into a spin as she then curved upwards nearly crashing into Gargantula and Fade Ninja as she fired out spines full of poison at Gargantula from behind during her spinning upwards curve.
"SKRREEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Pyrus Gargantula roared out before it glowed red and turned back to it's ball form and rolled back to Gaichū's foot.
The Baku-Cores disappeared from the battlefield for the last time in this match.
"H-How did she?" Gaichū asked himself wondering how Astrid beat him.
The score is now Astrid: 3 Gate Cards, Gaichū: Doom Dimensioned Bakugan. Astrid wins the battle of Fire vs. Water.
"Pyrus Gargantula has been eliminated. The winner of this match is Astrid Hofferson." Astrid, Hiccup, and Gaichū's Baku-Pod informs them all of the winner.
"That was incredible, Astrid. Your skills on teamwork is still impressive as usual." Hiccup praised Astrid's and her leadership skills of her Bakugan, even if she lost Aquos Gorthion to Pincitaur's venom attack.
"Thanks, Hiccup." Astrid said blushing a little.
"SKRRREEEEEAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" Stormfly screeches in victory as Fade Ninja sheathes it's sword, put it's arms at its sides and gave Hiccup a bow of respect.
The Dragom Brawlers win another Brawl against one of the lackeys of Masque, but somewhere deep in Hiccup's mind he wonders how long can this luck of theirs go on before it runs dry?
The entire world returns to it's normal self as the battlefield closes and time slowly starts back up again.
Later after the match...
After time had started back up again, Gaichū fell to his knees in defeat as he started to blame his own Bakugan. But Hiccup, knowing better from last time about blaming a Bakugan, gave Gaichū some advise on being better Brawler and telling him that his problem is he uses his mouth more than his mind instead of both, and that he needs to show respect to not only his Bakugans, but to people and Brawlers as well.
Gaichū gave the Darkus Dragon Brawler a unsatisfied huff but... thanked him for the tip anyways as he picked up his Bakugan's and left.
Right now, Astrid and Hiccup were laying down on the hill that Hiccup and Toothless laid after Hiccup rescued Toothless from the river. Both of them had a calm and relaxed smile on their faces. Stormfly and Toothless were also on the slope in there true ball form.
"Not bad, Astrid. Your Bakugan skills are still incredible as always." Hiccup said to Astrid.
"Thanks, Hiccup. I appreciate it. I tried my best." Astrid accepted Hiccup's compliment.
"Uh, excuse me. Lady Astrid, Sir Hiccup? But I too must say how impressed I was. Congratulations." Stormfly said wanting to give her Partner some compliments.
"You're very kind, Stormfly." Astrid said as she looked at Stormfly.
"You're patience and battle prowess has surpassed even the fiercest Humanoid Class Bakugan I metand battled against." Stormfly told Lady Astrid.
"Coming from you, Stormfly. I am honored. But you have to admit you wouldn't be here if not for Fade Ninja's Medicinal Box effect. If not for him, we wouldn't have won." Astrid said as well as reminding her that Fade Ninja save Stormfly's life. "Oh, And I hope you don't mind me saying, but you were very beautiful on the battlefield."
" No, don't mind, Lady Astrid." Stormfly accepted Lady Astrid's compliment.
"Hey, look. She's blushing." Hiccup joked as he and Astrid laugh at the joke, even Toothless chuckles a bit.
At Sunset, A couple of minutes later...
Hiccup and Astrid enjoyed their time together talking one another as Hiccup and Astrid had both formed an idea at the same time.
They both grabbed their phone called their parents, wanting to see if both of them would like to have a picnic at the bridge's river bank at sunset with the Hoffersons/ the Haddock.
Thankfully, Stoick was just finishing up as he would be there. Astrid's Mother and Father had finished up cleaning the Tavern as they said their goodbyes to Sticky Joe and told him to lock the place up before he leaves, which the elderly man nodded his head and did so after he was done.
Stoick and Mr. and Mrs. Hofferson arrived at the River Bank with Stoick having brought the grill, the paper plates, and the drinks, and the Hoffersons having brought the food and ustensils.
"It looks like Hiccup and Astrid are getting along well." Mr. Hofferson said looking at the two kids.
"Yeah, it was so nice of Henry and Astrid to call us to have a Barbeque here." Stoick said looking at his son and Astrid.
As Stoick looked at Hiccup and Astrid, he sees that both of them are talking to one another about something and picks up the word, "Bakugan", Stoick thought it was a some new kids game that the kids are playing nowadays, but he can't help but shake the feeling he heard that somewhere before he just can't put his mind on it.
"It appears so... when do you think they'll start dating, Hmm?" Mrs. Hofferson asks Stoick and her husband.
Stoick and Mr. Hofferson both did a spit shot the moment she said that.
"H-HONEY!" "MRS. HOFFERSON!" Mr. Hofferson and Stoick shout at the women tiny habit of betting on love.
"What? What did I do?" Mrs. Hofferson asked in a playful innocent manner.
"You have a serious problem." Mr. Hofferson told his wife.
Toothless and Stormfly were watching Stoick and Mr. and Mrs. Hofferson on the table as they heard everything from them, including Mrs. Hofferson betting on when their respective Partners will start dating each other.
"Just when you think you figured them out." Stormfly said as she sighed at Mrs. Hofferson's betting problem.
"Stormfly, my friend, I don't think we'll EVER understand these who-mans." Toothless told Stormfly as he chuckles a bit as Stormfly chuckles in agreement.
We pan up to see the city and island of Berk as the sun sets for today.

The reason why Fade Ninja has a medicinal box is because that is based off of the Shinobi no Rokubu, 6 Tools No Ninja Would Be Without, specifically the Kusuruor medicine box.
And also to note, the scene where Hiccup is singing is going to be important, just not for a few chapters later on.
Also, I apologize for taking so long, I am moving to Oklahoma in 4 weeks so I've been helping my parents keep our house clean.
