Disclaimer: Hey everyone, I don't own Digimon or any of the names, so I'm sorry if they represent famous people.
Me: Hey ya, this is my very first Digimon fanfic. So please be nice. And I hope you like it.
Chapter 1: A Digimon is born
It all started like any ordinary day, a young girl, who looked to be about 13 years old, wearing a purple wide V-neck shirt, light blue pants that went to her ankles and tears in them, a hot pink unbuttoned button-down shirt over the purple shirt, a sparkly dark pink backwards baseball cap, a black fingerless glove on her left hand, and a pink pirate skull bandanna tied around her neck. Her and her family had just moved to Austin, Texas from Florida a few months ago. She also had to wear glasses because she was born legally blind, with an astigmatism in both her eyes, causing her to have very poor vision. Her name was Jenny Jackson.
Jenny dreamed of one day becoming a famous Hip Hop dancer/beatboxer. Jenny's mother was a doctor and her father was a lawyer. They did not approve of her hip hop/beatbox dream. But she wasn't about to give up on her dream.
Jenny didn't have many friends here in Austin. She only had a few friends since moving. One of the very first friends she made since the move was another young girl named Rebecca Smith. Jenny sometimes called Rebecca, Becky. Jenny could always count on Becky, and Becky could always count on Jenny. Little did Jenny and Becky know, they were about to go on the digital adventure of their lives.
One-day Jenny was in her room, typing something on her computer, when her best friend and pet rabbit Piechu hopped in and rubbed his ears against her leg, in an attempt to get the girl's attention.
Jenny did notice something soft against her leg and looked down to find her furry friend looking up at her with an adorable smile.
"Hey there, Piechu!" the brown-haired girl happily said to the Bunny.
As Jenny picked up the small lagomorph, she noticed that the little bunny wasn't wearing its signature red scarf, she had given it for its 3rd Bunday.
(Author's note: if you're wondering why I called Piechu a lagomorph, that's because in the early 20th century rabbits were reclassified from rodents to lagomorphs. And a Bunday is a bunny's birthday.)
"Hey Piechu, why aren't you wearing your scarf?" Jenny asked the now 9-year-old rabbit.
The small bunny then jumped off the young girl's lap and hopped into a box of things Jenny played with when she was little.
"Hey whatcha doing Piechu?" the young dancer said as she walked over to the box with a happy/funny grin on her face.
She goes through the box of her old belongings. She found her old tutu, ballet shoes, and even an old toy boombox.
Ever since she was young, Jenny always wanted to find herself on a stage and express herself through dance.
In fact, the only thing in that box, from her childhood, that wasn't related to dancing was a necklace her great-uncle in Japan sent her. When he gave it to her he said it was made with a very special stone that would protect her from the powers of darkness.
As Jenny recalled the past she noticed something in the box that she did not recognize.
It was a strange neon green digital watch, that looked as if it had been custom made just for her.
Jenny picked the watch up and tried to figure out where it had come from. As she did this Piechu had jumped out of the box with its scarf in its mouth and jumped onto Jenny's right shoulder.
The confused girl looked over to her shoulder and asked an equally confused rabbit if it had any idea where the watch had come from.
Just then the mysterious watch began to glow and produced a strong force that sent both the girl and bunny flying into the desk.
When Jenny was able to open her eyes again, Jenny noticed that the watch was now on her wrist, but before any questions could come into her head she noticed that her best friend, that she had known since she was 4, was laying on the floor.
"Piechu! Are you alright?!" She said as she rushed over to her semi-floppy eared friend, worriedly, "Please be ok."
Just then Piechu started to up its eyes and did something that no one could have ever see coming.
"Uhh, I think so. Just a slight headache." Piechu said in a high pitched childlike voice, just before realizing that he spoke.
The room then fell silent, due to the reason that neither one knew what to do next.
The silence finally ended when they both heard a ringing sound that they both recognized as Jenny's phone.
When she picked up the phone they both heard what sounded like a young girl screaming and talking really fast.
Jenny immediately recognized the voice as Becky, and Jenny also realized that something must have happened because she knows that when Becky talks fast it means that something crazy has happened.
Me: "Ok that's it for now."
Pichu: "Seriously! But what happened to Becky? What's with that watch Jenny found? And why am I suddenly able to talk?
Jenny: "Yeah, what's going now?"
Me: "Don't worry, a lot of your questions will be answered in the next chapter."
