"we were jumped when we hit the edge of this neighbourhood, my husband shot him and we called the cops and handed over dash cam footage showing they were after Kristen" says Janice
"I'm working on that issue, it's in direct response to Paul being extradited to the USA for crimes he and his family committed there, they're mad because they're finding out that they can and will be held accountable, there are mass arrests happening all over Sicilia as a result, Paul gave up information on locations and names in hopes of getting a lighter sentence than life in prison, he's not likely to get that but the information is helping take down the network of kidnappers and abusers, Italy is following suit soon as is Spain and most other European countries, honestly the cops won't let charges get pressed on you Janice, if you showed clear evidence that they were after Kristen then they will classify it as defence of a child, anyway for the time being none of you can leave this neighborhood, Janice and Henry you are living next door, Trina Abigail and little Kristen are living in the recently remodeled basement" says Jade
"we have a mortgage Jade" says Janice
"and it will be paid, let me put it this way, you brought Kristen here, you were seen with Kristen and you killed someone who tried to take Kristen, it may have been defence of a Child but they won't see it that way, you put a target on your heads by defending Kristen, if you leave this neighborhood right now you might never make it home, the cops are working overtime to clear the city Janice but it could be a few days, as it stands Spain and Germany are sending special forces troops to boost law enforcement numbers here in Sicilia to weed them out" says Jade
"why can't Italy just send troops" asks Kristen confused
"they could but that would leave many vulnerable areas unprotected Kristen, as it is Tori and Trina's Dad is teaching people in this neighborhood to arm themselves to protect their children and is warning them that the guns are only for self defence not to brandish or intimidate, the community here seems to understand that, that's why those people can't get closer to this house, we're armed and they don't stand a chance, every parent that can has turned to remote work, every child in this community is online learning, the police weren't lying when they said this was the safest community around" says Jade
"trust me everyone sees that, my cousin out in Marsala read about what this community is doing and wants to do the same, she saw a light in what you're doing, you're giving an island that was ravaged by self-important life means nothing men and giving them a chance to start over, she's generally against owning guns but the way you and David Vega implemented the plan, she sees the need and that you guys did it right, though she hopes that one day soon we won't have to keep guns on us at all times" says Janice
"give me her number and I'll get her in touch with the people I'm in contact with to get this going, David believes the same way your cousin does, as do I, I hate the thought of everyone owning guns, once the area is clear and under control by the cops, parents and of age teens will not be allowed to openly carry a gun, there will be strict rules in place, cop patrols will be more frequent once Spain and Italy begin their own purge of kidnappers and rapists, in an attempt to arrest anyone fleeing to not get caught, all border countries will have a major military presence at ports and airports, when it happens there will be a national alert about sting operations and anyone who flees will be arrested and interrogated" says Jade
"won't that cause many people holding girls against their wills to kill them" asks Abigail
"no they'll be using a national kidnapping prevention code I created that on its face points to drug dealers not kidnappers so it's kind of sneaky" says Jade
"thank you for taking care of Kristen for three months Janice" says Abigail
"you remember me, you were little when you met me" asks Janice
"yeah I remember you, you are my mom's sister or aunt or something" says Abigail
"I'm her aunt, it was a pleasure taking care of Kristen, don't let her grow up too fast now" says Janice
"I wish they could be here right now, they were always so wise" says Abigail as Kristen cuddles her and falls asleep
"your father had one fault Abby, in that he thought that his ties to government and the police would have kept evil at bay, that fault cost him his life but he was never a bad man, where's Cat" says Janice
"sleeping, I proposed to her last night, she said yes but since we can't safely leave the neighborhood she decided to sleep most of the day, that or shop online and have things delivered, the two house hallway was finished yesterday so Robbie can drop off any packages which also means you can visit any time without going outside" says Jade
"what kind of wedding are you guys planning to have, you and Cat are kind of a big deal here" asks Harry
"Cat wants a volcano theme, our dresses are going to be dyed with real ash and it will happen shortly after Tori, Sadie and Andre get married, which is next week if they're allowed to hold one given the situation" says Jade
"how do they expect the church to allow them to get married" asks Henry
"please tell me you aren't going to bully them for being a thruple" asks Jade
"no no I'm ok with it it's just the church kinda has rules on that kind of thing" says Henry
"they talked to the church already, they got the go ahead as long as they don't make it a big event, it can't be held at a church, most likely it's just going to be an extremely tiny event, probably not even invite anyone, as it is Tori gets enough questions about her pregnancy so they're probably not going to tell anyone when it does happen" says Jade
"that's a shame, everyone deserves to have a big wedding, Etna and Vesuvius have been very active lately and it scares me though" says Henry
"trust me Ellen has been monitoring it, she says Etna is due for a big eruption soon based on the readings she's getting, she thinks it's set to destroy most of the Catania province she's getting ready to issue an evacuation order, which she can only technically order thankfully the government trusts her judgement" says Jade as Cassandra walks in terrified
"I don't know if you know this but there are fifteen dead kidnappers at the corner down the street" says Cassandra
"one tried to kidnap my little sister" says Abigail
"a group of moms were having a barbeque when it happened, it was probably them taking revenge, the one guy had managed to pull Kristen out of my car as I was bringing her here to live with her sister, they saw the whole thing and were shouting, then my husband stopped the car and got out and shot the man trying to hurt Kristen and the group of moms ran over with their guns drawn distracting them long enough to get Kristen back in the car and get here to safety" says Janice
"then it's justified, they had this consent to search ID on them, it's meant to spread the cult, that if one of them dies someone can take their phone, the government views it as a legal opinion to take evidence from said phones, they just freed ten girls Kristen's age as a result" says Cassandra
"I'm glad this evil is on a decline" says Janice
"there will be violence but yes I'm glad it is on a decline as well" says Cassandra
