Pieces
Loosely edited Alternate Universe prompts, featuring Sasuke and Sakura. Mostly dark.
Disclaimer: M for adult themes. Unfinished and loosely edited Alternate Universe prompts that will likely remain incomplete. Sharing just for fun, since they're collecting dust. Note that the caliber of writing and the material will not be the same as my standalone pieces, since not as much time was spent on these works.

Dominion over the environment on earth and the passing of its seasons has long been a task ordained to the members of his bloodline.
His clan had overseen the beginnings of the earth. The ice age, the melting of the sheet and the formation of the oceans.
They'd regulated temperatures and made the land prosperous in preparation for the creation and evolution of humans.
In modern times, the seasons have gone out of wack. The temperatures unregulated. The natural disasters vast.
As the sole surviving member of his clan, he'd first been aghast at the destruction the humans had caused to the earth.
He'd seen the formation of the planet and now he was seeing the deformation.
It was not possible to reverse and regulate the damage. As time passed, he'd acknowledged that his role had changed. He now simply existed to serve as a guide, moving everything along.
A guide to an inevitable end.
Sakura oversees the forests, amongst other things. As a guardian of vegetation and growth, the gradual environmental devastation of the earth enrages her.
She blamed Sasuke for mismanaging the course of all things. To her, his negligence in the affairs of the humans, directly correlated to the changes in climate and destruction of habitats.
"They're plowing through the trees! Killing off the forests!" she starts. "These trees are centuries old. Many of them elders in the high court. They were older than I am!"
Sasuke looks bored as the being in front of him lists out her complaints. She speaks of elder tree folk. If age was a tangible number, his was more than a hundred times hers.
Sakura had been around for many a millennia, however.
"What do you want me to do about it?"
Her sparkling eyes widen in shock.
"What do I want—is that a joke!?" she questions.
She still retained hope that things were reversible.
Sasuke entertained beings like her by listening to their woes. But he kept his knowledge regarding the end of all things to himself.
It would not do to spread panic amongst the Gatekeepers.
For now, it was best that they maintain their dominions to the best of their abilities.
He'd hear from each of them infrequently. The overseer of water was lazy and checked in sporadically. The temperatures of the oceans were rising, the last of the ice sheets melting.
But Suigetsu was just as pessimistic as himself in that regard. If the end was imminent, he would sit by and watch, rather than lift a hand to try and prevent it.
Naruto stood over wind and storms. The tempests had raged hard in this past century, destroying established land and habitats.
Tsunamis, hurricanes and tornadoes once infrequent, were now commonplace. There was little to be done there and Naruto presided without much complaint as things shifted towards greater destruction.
Sakura however, sought him out to bitch whenever she had a spare minute to do so.
"I've told you hundreds of times that I can't do anything about this," he says.
The long, full lashes around her eyes are visible to him from his vantage point. They're unnatural.
"Well then, why did you allow this to happen?" she questions. "Why let it get like this?"
She's asked this before.
He never answers.
Sasuke eyes her ethereal form from where he sits. Her skin glows beneath the fabric of her airy, sheer dress.
He ignores the nagging pull inside of him to get up and touch her. To run his hands across her smooth skin.
As ages had come and gone, he'd adapted to a more human appearance.
His true form was demonic. Almost alien. More frightening than anything fathomable.
He'd come to be, shortly after the formation of the universe. He is not a god, though in certain respects, some have called him one before.
He just is. Birthed somewhere between space and time.
Beings like Sakura, Suigetsu and Naruto were different. They'd come to be from the purity of their dominion's formation on the planet.
As the earth shifted and changed with the ages, their existences blossomed with that change.
He understands why his natural form is so heinous now.
Before, he'd been the Regulator.
Now, he is the World Ender.
He remains to see it through to the end of all things, and then implode the galaxy in. Onto itself. Into nothingness.
From there, it will reformulate and begin again.
When the time comes.
For now, he looks like a stoic man. Sitting in a lavish home. Staring at an ethereal, pink haired woman, as she speaks to him with little respect for his actual station.
He shrugs at her, his glance continuously moving across her body. Roving his gaze from her chest, to her face.
She'd looked feral a long time ago, more animal than human.
Her current form pleases him immensely. She was pleasant to look at.
He thinks she knows this. Each time she requests an audience with him, she is more enchanting than the last. He sees through this, however. She wants him to take action against what is going wrong on the planet, and thinks she can sway him with her surface level charm.
He has never acted on his more base desires where she is concerned. A union with him would not be without complications.
He's certain she would have a vision of the end of all things if he were to consummate with her.
If she sees that within him, she would interfere. Attempting to stop it.
He would be forced to dispose of her.
The inevitable end of all things had been decided long ago.
He's lost in these thoughts. As a result he fails to notice her sashaying towards him. She glides along the marble, stilling once she's in front of him.
"What troubles you, my Lord?"
His head snaps up at the formal title.
"Don't call me that," he reprimands.
She nods her head, passively acquiescing to his request.
The tips of her well manicured fingers graze lightly beneath his chin.
"What are you hiding, Sasuke?" she questions, instead.
He frowns.
She's annoying him.
"Will you not have your fill of me?" she asks, lightly.
Taking a lengthy moment to respond, he looks her up and down.
"I'll have some of you. Drop the theatrics though," he says.
Nodding once again, she says, "As you wish," before lifting her glamour.
Her skin pales and glows less. The shine of her hair dulls.
"Your turn," she says, quietly.
He'd looked wilder and meaner in ages past. The World Ender assumes that Sakura prefers that harder edge to his features.
Her hands cup the sides of his face as his hair grows longer and his features sharpen.
His eyes turn red.
She straddles him in his ornate chair, bunching up the bottom of her dress so she can grind against him. Her hands move to his shoulders, balancing herself against his seated body.
Dropping his head to the column of her throat, he grazes his jagged teeth along her skin. His palms rest hotly at the middle of her back, her skin exposed from the low-cut back of her gown.
"Foreplay with you, has gone on for hundreds of years," she complains, wistfully.
Sakura slides her hands up again, now into his long locks. But he bites her hard, at her comment. The nip is unexpected, causing her fingers to clench in his hair. She whimpers.
Knowing that she's only lain with mortal men, he surmises that if she were to lie with him... he would destroy her.
His hands go from her back to her hips, and he thrusts against her clothed center, forcefully.
He licks down her throat, then mouths one of her breasts through the thin, gauzy material of her dress.
She moans at the fire he's lighting within her, then screams as he bites down on her hardened tits.
He alternates between biting roughly and sucking, all the while circling her apex over his crotch.
"Please…" she whispers.
Abruptly, he pulls back. Expression somber, he stills the movement of her hips by tightening his grip at her waist.
He gazes at her with hooded eyes.
Sakura is not human, but as ages had passed she'd taken human lovers passively.
As a result, she'd acquired a catalog of ranging mortal emotions.
Right now, she feels self-conscious.
One, because he'd stopped his ministrations. And two, because she was most comfortable when she looked otherworldly.
Her hair long and shining, the waves cascading down her back. Her skin smooth and unblemished, a faint, inexplicable glow exuding from her pores. Her eyes wide and cat-like. Her limbs long and slender.
Sasuke admired these attributes from afar, she knew.
Up close, in the instances where they invaded each other's personal space, he desired her in her more natural form.
She was mousier this way. Shorter in height. Less curvy, less sultry. Her hair was flat and short, her skin less dewy, her features softer.
Her fingernails would shorten, a nail or two often dirtied with bits of earth from her forests.
She supposed she looked more real. Less fake like this.
Sakura doesn't actually find issue with his modern form, though she knows that Sasuke thinks she does. He was pleasing to the eye in present day. More handsome than any male she'd dealt with or seen.
The reason she requested him to revert his appearance, was that she felt it only fair to make him wipe a layer off too.
His countenance was harsher. His jaw, tighter. It was unnerving, in a sense, to behold him in such a fashion.
The blood red of his eyes she did like though, for that had been his coloring for as long as she had known him.
He had only opted for a deep, onyx hue in the last century.
She suspects his body is more lithe in this more ancient form as well. Less defined muscle. Less bulk.
But she doesn't mind any of it too much.
To her knowledge, no one else held such sway over him like she did.
It was unheard of to demand outlandish things from the Regulator.
She snorts internally, at the title.
He was supposed to oversee the environment and passing of seasons. He had been doing an awful job of late. The seasons rarely passed now. Each overstaying its welcome and bleeding into subsequent months where they had no business.
The environment was out of control. She'd heard of swaths of barrier reef skeletizing and dying in Suigetsu's domain.
Her forests were being burned and bulldozed.
Naruto's winds and storms had reached all time destructive levels. Destroying human cities to ruin.
And the Regulator… did little to regulate much of anything these days.
It almost seemed like he was idling. Passing time in wait.
But for what?
Sakura sighs.
She's seated on his lap, unmoving and lost in her analysis.
The snap of fingers in front of her face, makes her jump.
She almost falls off of him in surprise, but he secures her with the hand that's still gripping her waist. She feels the sharp edges of his nails, dig into the skin at her side.
The claw-like nails of his digits in this form, are black. Satanic. Her eyes zero in on the long talons, held up in front of her face.
"What do you ruminate over, in my presence?" he questions, tone short.
Sakura furrows her brows and pouts at him.
"You pulled away from me. I got distracted," she says, elusively.
He gives her a mean glare, then rubs the back of his suspended hand against her soft cheek.
The Gatekeeper of the forests, shudders at the rough feel of his knuckles against her face. Then, she leans forwards, pressing her lips to his.
They kiss one another, in blanketed reverence.
