Thanks Everyone for the reviews last chapter... truth is I thought I lost some readers with my delinquent postings...

Disclaimer... Pink is the new black... to Roy anyway...

Day 160-

Just as I had expected yesterday during our General Studies course, Jimmy yelled at me for cheating and Master Kamek had immediately assigned me detention. My punishment this time was cleaning the entire classroom with a scrubbing brush (at least it wasn't my tongue). I think the wizard wanted the room presentable for our Shop presentations today.

I grinned evilly at myself in the mirror this morning. Last night King Koopa had left his magic wand behind while he attended dinner. I found it resting against his chair.

Lifting the magical weapon, it responded almost immediately obeying both the uttered and silent incantations from class without hesitation. I opened the balcony doors and directed the casted spells over the voluminous volcano.

Huh? I wonder why I could perform this display of magical power with my king's rod and not with the scepters from class. Maybe this rod thinks I'm King Koopa too. My king did tell me that I have access to anything in his room.

In the end it didn't matter since I was operating on a time sensitive schedule. Sifting through the Magic Class textbook, nearly an hour passed before I was able to find the spells I wanted then a whole other hour memorizing the incantation.

The first spell was the most difficult to find because I really wanted my intentions to shine through after enchanting the Princess Toadstool replica. Finally I came across the spell titled "Fantazilation Imagination Animation."

I practiced the incantation, "Life bring my dream and desire from the depths of the Astro to my Physical Plain." I repeated the words almost a 100 times before testing it another 50 times on the tiny princess statue.

Finally I perfected the spell achieving my desired result after testing it out. Princess Toadstool figure exited the castle approaching me as it passed the flag pole, and trees coming to a stop at the road's edge. She bent forward and kissed my cheek. Once she finished her kisses (represented by whichever hour it is) she'd return to the castle. You may wonder what made her enchanted.

Well the magic came in by enveloping the princess figurine in a soft glow as she bent forward to kiss. The clock projected a life size illusion of King Koopa's beloved and even warmed the cheek where her lips made contact.

I'm going to give this version of the clock to my king for his birthday but set the alarm for midnight. I hope his majesty likes it.

The second spell is part of my dastardly plan to exact some revenge upon Master Kamek and with any luck Jimmy… Bwa, ha, ha. The spells name is "ReKaBoom" and was allot easier to learn. It even worked the first time I recited and test it.

"Thank you, King Koopa for leaving your wand behind last night," I said quietly to myself while Morton did his presentation.

"And my pwoject was a fwexable shwell," Morton demonstrated his projects ability. The turtle rolled into a ball tucking his head, legs, and arms into the inside of the shell.

It was clever. The design resembled the outer shell of sea urchins with spikes protruding 360 degrees protecting the host. One thing's for sure; it's going to make it even more difficult sparring against the turtle.

"Very nice Morton though I'm not sure what you would use it for," Kamek said signaling for my buddy to uncurl. "Next is Footstool."

"Good job Morton," I whispered to the approaching turtle lifting a sheet hiding my clock underneath. "I know some uses for your shell."

Mort smirked, "I know." He cracked his finger claws.

"Listen. Try not to laugh," I whispered. "I'll help test your shell sometime next week."

"Whut do yo' mean dwon't waugh," Morton whispered when I passed him.

Setting my project on the desk, I addressed the crowd, "For my project, I decided to make a clock." I removed the sheet. The whole class shared the same unimpressed face. "Ever have trouble waking up in the morning? Well…
"Now it'll be a thing of the past as each day is guaranteed to start with a bang," I smiled positioning the clock hands at 11:59.

When the minute hand lined up with the hour one, the front door of the castle opened. A tiny Bob-omb exited the structure marching slowly passed the flag pole and the trees. Bob-omb's are tiny windup explosives with wide eyes and two small feet.

Despite Master Kamek's attempt at impassiveness, his face couldn't hide his enthusiasm bending to meet the little explosive. He giggled as the smaller Bob-omb approached him.

He barely muttered "Good job" which ended up being the only words of praise he ever directed toward me before the tiny cannonball blew up in his face. Not just once but 12 times swallowing the instructor in black smoke.

The spell "ReKaBoom" allows objects to reform after they're destroyed. I had to use it several times last night trying to correct the Princess figurine after I blew her up a few times. Luckily she's back in one piece. I think this is the same spell King Koopa used on the Princess Table that time I broke it.

To my surprise not one of the Kooplings laughed. In fact they were all frozen in place with their jaws extending all the way to the floor. After the smoke finally dissipated, soot blackened Kamek's soda bottled lenses and scorched marks covered his face.

The wizard spun with enormous rage in his eyes and pointed a claw at me. As he spoke a black cloud of smoke escaped from his mouth, "Footstool, DETENTION!"

"Yes, Master Kamek," I froze not daring to move until I was permitted to. Me and the professor just ended up staring down each other until laughter gradually started growing louder and louder.

Both of our attention found the back of the room and spotted Jimmy moments away from bursting. The little fungi roared with laughter that slowly infected the rest of the class. Even Master Kamek and I had difficulty suppressing smiles.

That day after class Kamek collapsed in his chair wincing as he touched his beak. It made me feel bad. If I were anyone else's slave I wouldn't have been able to get away with my antics today but since I was King Koopa's property I'm protected enough from anything severe.

"Master Kamek, I'm sorry about earlier," I said pulling a cloth from my shell. I walked over offering it to the instructor, "Here?"

The wizard summoned a bucket of water with his wand and snatched the material from my hand. He dampened it and began wiping his face without saying a word.

Realizing the wizard wasn't going to respond to me. I went back to my chair and stayed until Master Kamek dismissed me. His silent scorn was more torturous than all his punishments so far. It was nearly sunrise before he allowed me to leave.

On my way to King Koopa's room, I heard snickering coming from inside a room and the sound of something opening and closing. It sounded like Jimmy and like he was talking to somebody. When I peeked inside, nobody was in the room.

I shrugged off the incident as being tired and continued to my room… I mean King Koopa's room and turned in for the night.

Day 164-

I arrived at class finding a pink headed turtle with pink shell lounging or slacking (probably a better word for it) in the first desk. I was surprised to finally find Roy in class and even though his eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, I could tell that his eyes were trained on me.

As I proceeded to my seat, my eyes remained on him as well. Clearly we were sizing each other up. He had a cool vibe about him and I could tell a bit of swagger as well. The stench of a bully was all around him and what he thought of me was all over his face. It was the same impression everyone else had. "Not Much." Wendy laughed at the tension between us.

"Whut are yo' do'ing 'ere," Mort asked spotting his older sibling.

"I heard this class got," Roy adjusted his shades addressing the rest of his answer at me, "Interesting."

Morton stepped between us. "Yo' got a pwobwem?"

"Nope," Roy replied. "Anyone who willingly picks a fight with Kamek gots my respect," he finished sighing. "Even if he doesn't look like much."

I laughed. "I like the pink shell and hair," I pointed to his bald pink melon. "The sunglasses and black spikes really make the colors pop. I'm Footstool."

He smiled back briefly before going serious. "My head and shell are red and it's Roy."

Before I could correct the turtle, a blue cloud of smoke appeared at the front of the classroom signaling for Morton to go to his seat. Kamek's eyes fell on Roy immediately.

"Ah, the rogue scholar appears," the wizard shot at Roy. "What brings you to class today?"

"I heard the class has changed and wanted to check it out," Roy answered.

"Well it won't be easy," Kamek said discouragingly. "You have a bunch of assignments to make up."

I don't understand what Master Kamek's doing. Why is he shooting down Master Roy's desire to attend class? He's supposed to mold minds not destroy them.

"No problem," Roy replied annoyed. "Just teach prof."

"Ingrate," Kamek growled beginning the lesson.

That explains it. Roy talks back to Kamek too. I may just be getting a delinquency buddy after class too assuming he stays for detention.

Today's classes went smoothly for me but unfortunately with Roy's arrival Kamek's rage seems to be directed solely at him. The wizard shot down or ignored every one of Roy's questions or answers.

I don't know what happened in the past but everyone is treating Roy as an outcast. I could tell that it was frustrating him. Could it be the bullying thing? Whatever it was Roy's really trying to be involved with today's class and I don't think they're treating him fairly.

In fact it bothered me so much that during that afternoon's Physical Education class, I teamed up with Roy during our dodge Chomp game. The game is just like human world dodge ball but instead of avoiding rubber balls we try to steer clear of chomping balls and chains.

We mopped the floor with the other Kooplings. Mort got mad at me for siding with the enemy and Kamek decreed that we were never allowed to be on the same team again.

"Class dismissed," the wizard said.

While packing our shells to leave for the day, I flagged down Roy before he left. Morton and Wendy both looked surprised.

"Hey Roy, let me know if you want some help catching up," I offered the turtle. "I'm behind too and could use the help as well."

"You're behind," he said.

"Yep, I haven't passed a single assignment all year," I smiled finishing in a whisper. "I have the same problem with the teacher as you."

He smirked as we exited the classroom. "Yeah, I'll let you know." Then Roy was gone down a secret passage apparently.

"Awe Bawdy," Mort said. "Whut yo' do'ing?"

"You guys were downright mean to Roy today," I answered. "He really wanted to be there and learn something but everyone just picked a fight with him. I hope he comes back tomorrow."

"Humph… I'm gowhen to skwip twaining today twaitor," Morton answered storming off.

"Morton, don't be like that," I watched him disappear then turned to Wendy. "Well I guess I'm yours today."

"Like we only get together like Tuesday and Thursday," Wendy answered. "See ya like tomorrow."

Shrugging at my unusual free time, I returned to King Koopa's room and spent the day studying. Today was weird.
