Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or Steven Universe. The story is not following the Steven Universe storyline so that some things may be different from the show, but I would try to keep a good majority of it the same. Also, Steven and Connie are best friends, nothing more.
Chapter Eight:
Steven quietly stood up for the first time in what felt like hours but really was almost the entire day. He stretched and groaned when he heard his bones pop before sighing in relief when he was done before leaving the room.
As he passed by the Crystal Gems the only indication that he acknowledged that they were there was glaring at Pearl when he passed by her on his way to the bathroom.
"Well, at least he looked at her," Amethyst said with a slight snicker that she tried and failed to hide. To her, this whole thing was Pearl's fault because she refused to understand that Steven was no longer a child. Sure they were older than Steven but that was no reason to continue to treat him as a child. Especially since he has proven to them time after time after time that he was old enough to make his own decisions and that those decisions were the best ones to make.
Like in this case he made a decision and in her honest opinion, it was the best decision to make at the time and in general! Of course, Steven was going to offer her, her cats, and hell even Jasper a place to stay. Do you know why? Because that's the type of person he is! He likes to help others and will help in any way that he can! Especially since it was our fault that her house construction was pushed back after they fought that huge corrupted gem.
'Pearl being Pearl again made everything worse than it should have been.' She thought before she was taken out of her thoughts by someone clearing their throats. "Huh?" She called out, looking at them wondering who did that only to see Pearl glaring at him. Seeing as it was Pearl trying to get her attention she shrugged before going back to reading her comic book not caring that Pearl was even more pissed.
