Sorry for the delay on the chapter release I was having a sanity saving break from the usual

"Are you okay there kid?" Asked Pete as he approached Luis

"No" said Luis tiredly "at least I can make spells explode in face consistently"

"That's the spirit!" Said Pete "or not , *sigh* let me tell you something , do you know that Ferox was called the witch slayer?"

"Tess told me a bit about it" said Luis flopping back first onto the snow "what of it?"

"There's actually a very funny story behind that title" said Pete happily "wanna hear it?"

"Sure" said Luis rolling his eyes

"Well , it started a long time ago" said Pete in a narrator voice "Ferox was a creature that had abilities that can weaken and destroy magic , so naturally , the witches of that time considered him an enemy

They wanted to remove him , a creature that challenged their superiority and won , so then the hunts began , but they all failed , and a legend was born, the one who could defeat the nemesis of magic , will become the greatest witch of all

Though Ferox killed no witches at least not on purpose , he liked combat and challenges , the problem lied within the place Ferox lived at

It was a dangerous place that killed most weaker witches and exhausted many of the strong ones by the time they reached Ferox , and let's not talk about how his powers drained their magic

But the strongest , smartest or skilled ones , they made it , and fought with all their strength.

But died on the way back"

Luis snorted after hearing the last part , almost laughing

"You're kidding right?" Said Luis in disbelief

"Nope , Ferox removed most of their magic and he couldn't keep them near him or they'll die like some others , so they died on the way back" said Pete

"Ok , let's say I believe you , what am I supposed to learn from that?" Asked Luis rolling his eyes

"I don't know , it was for comedic relief , I'm not that wise kid" said Pete "now lets start working on that spell!"

"Fine" said Luis standing up from the snow

"Now what do you know about the mimic spell?" Asked Pete

"It's a spell that mimics another spell using an already existing object , mimicking a fireball using snow should make a snowball , right?" Said Luis

"Correct! Now I have important things to do right now , so practice it until I come back!" Said Pete as he flew away

"Ugh , that unreliable lizard" grumbled Luis angrily before working on the spell

"Eda! Can you stop stuffing moss in your nostrils and tell me where Tess went?" Asked Pete "and why are you smelling rocks?"

"She's teaching me...things" said Luz nervously

"Not even gonna ask what things" said Pete tiredly "Eda!"

"Next to that rock over there!" Said Eda pointing at a rock before sipping on her drink

"Thanks , and actually show the kid something more... practical" said Pete as he flew to Tess leaving Eda to do something even less practical than smelling rocks , sorting twigs from big to small!

"Are you gonna stay here all day or are you gonna start helping the kid out?" Asked Pete as he approached Tess

"Aaahh , geez you scared me" said Tess wiping invisible sweat off "look , I'm doing something very important here and I don't need your distractions"

"Is Luis a distraction for you?" Asked Pete

"What?! No!" Said Tess angrily

"Then why aren't you helping him now?" Asked Pete

"I am helping him right now ,just not with what he's doing" said Tess in frustration

"Oh , is that so" said Pete "then what is it that you're helping him with right now?"

"It's not something you'll understand" said Tess angrily

"Oh let me guess , you broke one of the kid's toys and now you're trying to fix it?" Said Pete

"No" deadpanned Tess "and I watched enough tv to know that you're trying to provoke me"

"Oh come on , just go help the kid , I can't teach him on my own!" Admitted Pete

"Aren't you supposed to be some ancient magical item with great abilities" said Tess

"I'm just a staff! I can't teach! Try to tell Owlbert to teach Luz magic , he'll tell you he can't! Adorably as well!' said Pete in frustration

"I'm too busy to deal with your magic rainbow problems!" Said Tess angrily

"What is so important that you'd leave the kid alone like that?!" Asked Pete angrily

"*" Said Tess in frustration

"Wait, what!" Said Pete surprise

"Yes! That what I'm dealing with, I have to make sure this goes smoothly or it'll be catastrophic!' said Tess annoyed

"Oh , oh that IS bad" said Pete

"Yes , I have to make sure Luz or Luis don't know anything about this unless it's absolutely necessary" said Tess "but right now , because we forgot to cover everything up , this is more of a blessing , but I don't know for how long"

"Hmm , do it later" said Pete

"What! Are you craz_" said Tess angrily

"No , I mean end it later , you said it yourself , right now this is causing more good than bad so just stop it when the time it right" said Pete with a "wise" voice

"Stop talking like that" deadpanned Tess "and mmmmaybe you're right ,but if something happens you're taking the blame with me"

"Deal" said Pete "let's go!"

Then they heard a roar in the distance

"You've angered the slitherbeast" said Eda angrily before the white furred beast caught her

"What happened here!" Asked Tess as she looked at the situation "oh right , Luz"

"Hey!" Said Luz in protest

"Am I wrong?!" Asked Tess angrily

"No" said Luz with guilt

"What did we miss?" Asked Edric as he and the other Blights appeared on the scene

"And what're you doing with my wand?" Asked Amity

Then Luis got there

"I heard a roar , what's going on" said Luis before coming up with a good explanation for the scene he was looking at "*sigh* Luz"

"Sorry" said Luz feeling a bit of shame

"Why does it have to be one of those days?!" Said Luis angrily

Then the Blight twins restrained the beast's arms

"You got it! Now finish it off!" Yelled Eda from the clutches of the beast

Then Amity ran it with her wand , but failed due to her wand being out of charge

"Did you use this?!" Asked Amity angrily

"So wands need to get charged too, and of course it's out of charge now" said Luis in frustration "So cliche"

Then the beast caught both Edric and Emira while Amity fell from his grasp and Luis got out of the beast's way before it got to him

Amity then told Luz she couldn't help and put her in a magical cage

"Seriously! Couldn't you have used that on the beast instead?!" Asked Luis angrily

"It would've probably broken out anyway" said Amity as she ran towards the beast "c'mon , we need to hurry"

"Right behind you" said Luis frowning "and Luz , stay put , Amity is right , you'll get hurt"

Luz frowned sadly at that statement and Luis turned around and left

Then they reached the slitherbeast's cave

"There they are" said Luis narrowing his eyes "got any plans"

"Still working on it" said Amity "can't you make one of those weapons that you had before?"

"Nope , I don't break reality that much , I don't have the storage with me" said Luis frowning "I wish I could actually make a gun with this dumb powe...make a gun , that could work!"

Then Amity watched Luis mutter a lot of things while drawing a red magic circle through the snow

Then electricity crackled throughout the inside of the circle

And a sci fi gun made of snow appeared

Luis picked up the gun and fired at the snow and a black lazer with reddish hue was fired from it and burned through the ice

"I-i did it" said Luis in disbelief before yelling "I did it!!!"

"Did what?" they heard Luz's voice say

And both Amity and Luis yelled in surprise

"How did you get past the barrier?" Asked Amity

"Magic , literally" said Luz "anyway , to beat that beast the three of us have to work together"

"And I learned how to use this" said Luis smiling "so include my old tricks in your new plan"

"Aye aye captain" said Luz smiling "now"

Then the three huddled together to hear the plan and went along to execute it

Luis was standing next to a tree waiting for Luz who was the bait

Once Luz ran in , the beast following her

Luis made a cannon that fired a net made of negative magic

He fired it at the beast and the beast got stuck in it and hit the tree still mid air, Luz activated an ice glyph before the beast could hit the ground in fear of the spell cancelling each other

Then the beast was flung to the air by the ice

It fell onto the ground on it's back , before struggling to get out of the net

Then Eda , the Blights and Luis's small buds appeared

"Want me to teach you kids something cool?" Asked Eda smiling before everyone said yes

Then Eda did some hand motions and as the beast broke the net Eda cast the spell

A sleep spell!

Then Luz and Amity had a their talk

While Luis , Pete and Tess had a talk about making mistakes and other cliche stuff , avoiding everything about THE problem Tess had

Then they all went home , Eda and Luz using ice and Luis , Tess and Pete on a snow rocket

Making this was like eating a clock

Very time consuming
