Well, he DEFINITELY wasn't my first pick... but this is alright.

Welcome to the finale of Everyone is HERE!, it's been a long time coming.

It's been a pleasure keeping this story going for the last three years. I don't know if I'll write anymore stories when I finish World of Light, but I'm glad I got to work on something this fun for a good while.

Maybe I'll actually finish up that series bible I've been creating for a while... but in the meantime, enjoy the story, author's note will continue at the end of the chapter.

Sora found himself in a grassy meadow, having somehow gotten lost chasing after Pluto. Looking around, he called out, "Donald? Goofy? Where are you guys?" Wandering aimlessly, he called for them again before tripping over a rock, dropping his Keyblade in the process. Pulling himself up, he picked up his Keyblade and was about to sling it over his shoulder when it made a small, uncontrolled movement to Sora's right.

"Huh?" As Sora pointed it back towards his front, the Keyblade shifted to the right again with more force than before, lifting Sora's left foot off the ground as he exclaimed, "Whoa!" As he steadied himself, the fourteen-year-old from the Destiny Islands looked at his sword in thought and wondered, "Is the Keyblade trying to guide me somewhere?" As he finished his thought, the Keyblade jerked forward in the direction it had tilted itself towards, knocking Sora off his feet once again.

Spitting out a clod of grass, Sora grabbed the Keyblade and began walking to where the Keyblade was trying to take him, making minimal adjustments in his route whenever the Keyblade jerked in a different direction.

After a while—there was no way to keep track of time—Sora found himself standing in front of a door with an odd symbol on it. His Keyblade jerked towards the door, and with an annoyed grunt, he said, "I'll do it, just be patient..." before inserting the Keyblade into the lock and turning with all his might. Once it unlocked, Sora removed his Keyblade and watched as the door opened, giving way to an empty void that slowly began to fill with a blinding light. Once the light died down and Sora stopped shielding his eyes, he saw that the light, despite having significantly died down, filled the entire doorway, and that there was a letter in a little compartment in the back of the door.

Taking out the envelope, Sora removed the wax seal and began to read its contents:

To Sora of the Destiny Islands,

Congratulations! You are the 84th and final fighter chosen to participate in the fifth iteration of the Super Smash Bros. tournament!

Your world was one of the hardest ones for me to reach when considering potential fighters, but I am also aware of the popularity of your feats in the greater universe. Just understand that while I will place your realm into stasis until you return, I unfortunately was not able to bring any of your... particularly whimsical companions over, they are completely and totally incompatible with our tournament, let alone the universe, given that they have crossed from outside the universe we know.

With that aside, while I cannot directly interfere with your realm, as your thread of fate has a long way to go, I can and will give you small memories of the future... so long as you participate in the tournament. Once the tournament concludes, those memories of the future will be sealed away, and each of those memories will not be unlocked until you reach the moment in time when they would naturally occur.

With all that in mind, your Fighter's Pass, which allows for ease of identification and general convenience during the tournament is included in this envelope, please take it with you for identification.

I look forward to seeing you compete in the Super Smash Bros. tournament, Sora.

Sincerely,

Master Hand

P.S.: Please touch the wax seal you have removed from the envelope to be transported to your destination.

Sora did as he was asked and was whisked away by the Keyhole.

Upon touching the ground, Sora found himself inside a large house, while he himself was standing in front of a table. On the table were two black buttons, along with a note that read, "Press a button to confirm entry." Once he had done so, Sora was whisked away to a cliffside that had a dark vortex ominously looming over it.

Throwing caution to the wind, Sora jumped into the portal.

Once he had passed through, Sora found himself in the middle of a crowd of people and animals, and he jumped out of it, garnering their attention before landing in the middle of a circle they all had created by dispersing. One member of said crowd, a bipedal fox, walked towards him and asked, "Who are you?"

Holding out his included Fighter's Pass, Sora smiled and said, "I'm Sora. It's nice to meet you!"

Cloud, leaning on his Buster Sword, chuckled, saying, "Nice seeing you again, kid."

Before Sora could respond however, the Dark Star Core they had all been staring at suddenly swelled up in size and let out one of Fawful's crazed giggles before focusing its attention on the Smashers, who shifted into ready stances. Sora himself held his Keyblade steady and jumped at the creature, ready to strike.

And that marks the end of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Everyone is HERE!

Man, and to think that this all started just because I wanted to see Isaac and Banjo interact with the rest of the roster...

Either way, I had fun writing this, and I'm glad that my writing began to gradually improve as time marched on.

Considering the primary version of Sora in the game is the Kingdom Hearts I incarnation, that's where I lifted Sora from for this story (though that's not to say he won't use his other ones too). Good thing too, because that means I don't need to deal with all the bullshit from the later games.

Now that everything's all said and done, however, that'll be all from me for now, I'll see you guys in the next chapter of World of Light.
