I cut this chapter short because this part of the episode is pretty uneventful for oc and i don't want to just write the vanilla episode

"Hey Luz, Luis!" Said Gus enthusiastically "are you two ready for the field trip of a lifetime? To the one, the only, emperor's castle!"
The twins made to Hexside, where a field trup to the emperor's castle was about to take place
"No" deadpanned Luis "and where's Gem? I don't see her here"
"She said the trip would be boring and decided not to come" said Willow
"Oh"
"Yeah, we were also gonna stay behind, i don't like the way the emperor treats Eda" said Luz frowning, agreeing with her twin
"But you're gonna miss out on all the cool stuff" said Gus darting behind Luz and Luis to show the twins a pamphlet for the emperor's castle
"Like what?" Asked Luz raising a brow
Not even a second later, Willow spoke excitedly
"Like ancient relics, like the plant coven's green thumb gauntlet, it can grow whatever you can imagine"
"Then why didn't the emperor just use it to create a plant that'd get of the wild magic he hates so much?" deadpanned Luis raising a brow as he took the pamphlet "It's pretty underwhelming if all it does is just change the shape of plants, i like my salad free of oddly buff plants, thank you"
An awkward silence took place with Willow's dejected frown
"What about the oracle sphere? It shows you which path will let you become your best self!" Said Gus cheerfully
"What if you don't like your best self? Just because I'm good at something doesn't mean I like it" said Luis frowning as he crossed his arms
"Why must you ruin this!" Yelled Gus dramatically
"Science dictates that i must" deadpanned Luis earning a confused look from Gus
Then Luz read the third relic, the one the twins actually took interest in, it was the healing hat, it's said to cure the deadliest of diseases and heal any curse
"Luz, I know what were gonna do today" said Luis in a serious tone
"Get that hat" Luz said with determination in her voice as she looked the emperor's castle pamphlet "you've done so much for us Eda, now we're gonna do something for you"

Sitting in the flying carriage, the twins came up with plans (if you can even call them that) to get the healing hat
"Does that hat even work?" Asked Luis staring at pamphlet "I mean, the other relics are pretty underwhelming, so it could be worthless"
"What are you talking about?" Asked Gus
"Not_...actually, your opinion might help" said Luis with a hand on his chin "How likely are you to put illusions of extremely powerful relics on display instead of real ones for everyone to see?"
"Hmm" Gus was actually taking the question seriously "Very likely, it's not worth the risk"
Luis contemplated the idea until they made to the castle
Their landing had been very uneventful, other than Bump telling them not to make him regret bringing them here
Then the tour started
And Luis already hated it

"This is like biology class on loop" whispered Luis frowning "it's all Belos"
Luis hated it, it was emperor glorification everywhere
Not even the ones who fought with him, nope, just Belos
"Please let this end" whispered Luis tiredly as he saw Luz trying to open a vent to leave the group
Then they finally made it to the relic room, which Luis was very thankful for, except the part where their tour guide used this to praise the emperor
"Ok, how am i gonna do this" whispered Luis approaching the hat as the rest of the group left
Luz did the same, but then, Gus pulled the twins towards the rest of the group
"te lastimaré de muchas maneras" whispered Luis angrily "rogarás por la muerte"
"Did you say something?" Asked Gus innocently
"No" said Luis with a frown
"Oh ok"
"I heard what you said" whispered Luz narrowing her eyes judgingly
"It's stress relief, I'm not actually gonna do it" said Luis rolling his eyes "yet"
Luz kept her eyes narrowed as she walked forward and Luis shrugged before following her
But soon after, they had to hide behind a wall, because Lilith arrived
Luis had to admit, it was a little pleasant to see the prideful Lilith embarrassed by the emperor's assistant's comment
After that, the twins watched the other students go with the emperor's assistant
And thus, the twins split up, Luz followed Lilith, and Luis who didn't care about the large forehead lady, went after the hat
"Ok, time to take that hat" said Luis sneaking around the castle before seeing a member of the coven "Oh...i don't actually have anything"
Luis looked around him to find something to turn into a weapon, all he found was a plant
"*sigh* If i die, I'm haunting you, Pete" said Luis frowning
Then Luis made a gun out of a plan before he jumped the coven member
But the gun didn't work, and the member saw him
"Really?" said Luis tiredly
"Are you lost, kid?" Asked the member calmly and Luis nodded "do you need any help?"
"Uhm, yes?"
"Here, let me take you to the exit" said the member approaching Luis who relaxed after realizing that the guy wasn't a threat
"Thank_" said Luis before the gun started working, tranquilizing the coven member "Oh, come on"
Luis sighed before dragging the unconscious guard to a nearby room that just happened to be the guards' changing room
Luis facepalmed before disguising himself as a coven member
Then he just walked into the relic room
"This is too easy" said Luis skeptically as he stood in front of the hat "this can't be it, right? This is supposed to be a really secure place, and this weird feeling of being watched"
Then plants grew from behind him and tied him up
"There it is"
"Got it!" Luis heard a familiar voice
He turned around to see Luz, Gus and Willow. Luz was holding the healing hat
"Luz?" Asked Luis raising a brow under his mask
"Luis?" Asked Luz in confusion "what are you doing in that costume?"
"Is the term disguise that foreign to you?"
"Right, hehe" said Luz with a light laugh before uniting Luis from the glyph plant
"Let's just get out of here" said Luis taking off his mask and hood "I feel like I'm being watche_"
"You are" the whole group heard a voice say
Luis couldn't finish his sentence before the doors around went into lockdown
"We need a way out, now!" Said Luis with urgency in his voice
Willow immediately put on the plant track relic and created a buff tree that broke through the metal door
But then Lilith appeared
The four students weren't a match for her, Luz and Luis were caught and were used as bait for Eda
Bait that worked
Lilith challenged Eda to a duel, and thanks to having the twins as hostages
She won, Eda's curse took over
And the twins went back to the owl house, broken
they fell down like a puppet that lost it's strings after they entered
they realized that
they lost Eda.
