"There's not gonna be a new statue going up today" said King in a determined tone "right, you two?"
Luz and Luis stayed silent; ignoring the emperor's coven as they set up a spot for the petrified Eda
They were both staring at a poster of Lilith
"I sorta feel bad for what's gonna happen to her" said Pete calmly
"She deserves it" said Tess bluntly "oh, we're here!"
They finally made it into the conformatorium, and waiting for them outside the carriage was Warden Wrath
"Ah, Luz and Luis the humans, how i wanted to see you again. Now i ca-" said Wrath before he was knocked into the wall by a red blast that came from the carriage the held Luz and Luis
Behind the destroyed carriage doors, stood Luis with a shoulder held sci-fi cannon that had Pete as the nozzle
"I always hate it when they monologue" said Luis coldly as he narrowed his eyes
Luz stayed silent. She jumped out of the cart and attacked the coven members with ice and plants
Luz easily dealt with the coven members, and quickly turned to the warden; Luis followed right after
"Where is Eda?" Asked Luz as she surrounded Wrath with ice
"And fast" said Luis pointing the cannon at Wrath's face
Warden Wrath immediately gave up
"She's in the holding cell in the dungeon!"
But that wasn't enough
"Draw us a map!" Ordered Luz with a pencil and paper in hand
"B-but-" said Wrath before the nozzle of Luis's cannon started lighting up with red light "okay"
And with that, the twins had a map of the conformatorium

"Did you really have to knock out Wrath? He gave the map like we asked" said Luz as she and Luis steam rolled their way through coven members
"Because if this is a trap, I'd rather not have to fight him too" said Luis as he shot a few members with his cannon "and because i really wanted to"
The two left it at that and headed towards Eda's prison
"You two, watch the door" Luis told King and Tess in a serious tone
King nodded while Tess gave a cheerful salute
And with that, Luz and Luis broke the lock and entered
The two immediately rushed to Eda as soon as they saw her, but Eda, who was in her cursed form, attacked the two
Luz held up a light spell for Eda to see and called for her; Luis called for her too
And that did the trick. Eda recognized them and woke up
"LUZ! LUIS! OH NO NO NO NO. What are you doing here?" Said Eda worriedly
"It's okay, Eda. We're here to save you" said Luz as she put a fire glyph on Eda's chains only for nothing to happen
"Your magic isn't strong enough for this! You need to leave, now" said Eda before Luis pointed his cannon at the chains
"Eda, back off. I'll blow it up"
"Luis, no. You'll alert someone, you'll put Luz and yourself in danger if someone big comes here"
Luis hands shook as he aimed the cannon
"But we have to you! It was our fault you got caught" said Luz as she tried to break the chains with another fire glyph
Eda caught both of the twins and held them to her face
"No, listen to me. I'm here because of my own actions; i went against Belos's law and...for a while i was able to get away with it, but without magic i can't do much. I don't regret anything; i lived freely and got to meet you two, but if you stay here i won't be able to protect you. You need to leave, now!"
"B-but we're a family" said Luz as she and Luis started tearing up "us weirdos have to stick together, right?"
Eda didn't reply; she just pulled out the portal key from her hair and activated it
"You two already have a family, go back to them" said Eda calmly as she gave Luz the portal key "and when you get there, use your fire magic on the portal door. I don't know why Belos wants it, but we can't take any chances"
The twins hugged Eda as they tried to hold their tears
But then, an alarm rang...it was time for the petrification ceremony. Eda's chains became a cage
Luz clung unto the platform Eda was on as it rose up
Luis just stared helplessly, paralyzed, not knowing if his weapon could save Eda at this point or would he just make things worse
Like he always did
Then Lilith entered the room
"Drat! I'm too late" said Lilith with her hair slightly disheveled as she held King in one hand and her staff in another "that weird box, stalled me for too long. At least i found you, humans"
"You! You hurt Eda" said Luz coldly "you put her in chains, and we will take you down"
Luis's eyes snapped to Lilith's location before he prepared to fire
"I'm back!" Yelled Tess as she entered the room with her weapons ready
"Wait, i just want to talk!" Said Lilith as she let King go
Luis fired. Lilith dodged with the skin of her teeth
"Talk to the glyph, witch!" Said Luz as she attacked Lilith
Everyone attacked Lilith at once, pushing her into the portal. Lilith quickly trapped King in plants, removing him from the fight. Luis tried to fire a blast at Lilith...but nothing happened. Luz tried to use a glyph...nothing happened
Tess was the only one in the fight left and Lilith trapped her in a cage of rocks
"You should be petrified, not Eda!" Said Luz as she was about to jump at Lilith
"YES, YES! I SHOULD BE! JUST...please let me talk" said Lilith, dropping to the ground like a puppet that lost it's strings before summoning Owlbert and giving him to Lux
Luz stared at Lilith silently for a few seconds with the owl staff in her hands before she signaled for Luis to let her speak
"Getting rid of me isn't gonna be that ea-" said Tess breaking out of her cage
"Tess" said Luz in a deathly serious tone, making Tess go silent "let her talk"
Tess put her weapons away and Lilith started telling the tale of why she cursed Eda
Of why this all happened
The silence that took place after was deafening
Luis decided to break the silence by...smacking Lilith as hard as possible with his cannon
"Ow! What was that for?!"
"That was the dumbest I've heard in my entire life!" Yelled Luis angrily
"B-but it's true-"
"I know!" Said Luis angrily "what's making me so angry is that i just realized that you're not a bad person"
Confused noises rang through the air from everyone. Ignoring the noises, Luis continued.
"You're not a cunning snake or an incredible tactician or a big bad villain. You're just plain stupid! A big fat idiot!" Yelled Luis angrily as he looked down on Lilith with disdain "why would you assume that any curse would last just a day? And you did it to win a duel you didn't even deserve to take part in. You didn't even stop to consider if Eda would be happy in the emperor's coven. Heck! You didn't stop to consider anything! What a sister you are...and to think you always insulted Eda about how stupid it is to stay a wild witch, but in reality you're as stupid as they come."
Lilith could only stare at the ground as Luis spoke; every word cutting what's deeper and deeper into her already wounded pride
Seemingly satisfied with what he had done, Luis headed towards the portal
"Where are you going?" Asked Tess
"To do something useful, unlike this disgrace to everything on two legs" said Luis, disdain clear in his voice "Luz, you coming?"
Luz turned to Lilith then turned to the forest around them before finally looking at her brother and nodding
"Wait" said Lilith rising from her knees "i know that i did a lot-"
"The point?" Said Luis coldly
"*sigh* take me with you, i can help" said Lilith
Luis rolled his eyes before signaling for her to come with
"Hey Pete?" Said Luis calmly
"Yeah?"
"Why couldn't i fire anything back at the human realm?" Asked Luis calmly
"...you don't have much power, kid. What you have is just a fragment of the real thing; a spark, but without anything to ignite, it's useless"
Luis found himself with more questions than answers, but he ignored them for now
And so, after freeing King, they were heading to save Eda

Turns out, Lilith didn't change much
She, King and Pete were captured by Belos almost immediately, causing Luis to blast Belos's chair to bits
The attack managed to crack Belos's mask
"Okay" said Belos with a tint of anger as he melted into the ground and appeared behind the twins and Tess "I'll play"
Then he magically threw the two into separate directions and disappeared entirely
He then attacked using rocks, flesh and even a giant worm with a face
Luz managed to dodge; but Luis, who was holding a cannon couldn't dodge very well
'Are you tired, human?' Said Belos telepathically
"You wish" said Luis, panting as he readied his cannon
'Such a fascinating weapon, shame what's about to happen to it'
Luis was swiftly caught in a prison of fleshy arms and hands, his cannon now had a spike going through it
Luis was very thankful Pete was with Lilith and King at the moment
"You and i are not so different, you know?" Said Belos, finally appearing in front of Luis
"You wish"
Luis struggled to attack Belos, but failed
"Stop" ordered Belos as he held up Luis for Luz to see
Luz stopped and Tess, who was away from Belos's line of sight, decided to try and free Luis silently
"Give me the portal to the human realm" said Belos calmly
Luz jumped back at the request before Belos continued
"Listen, humans" said Belos calmly "I'm just a humble messenger of the titan. You probably think we're going to invade the human realm, but the titan's will is not so boorish"
Luz didn't move and Belos continued
"At the end of the day, the owl lady's life is inconsequential" said Belos calmly "I'll let you go and I'll even spare the owl lady if you just the portal"
Luz was trying to stall for time, stall until Tess freed her brother
And it was working
Until HE noticed it
"Tess!" Said Luz with tears in her eyes
The robot now had a large spike going through her
"Tic toc, humans. The owl lady doesn't have much time" said Belos calmly before he summoned a spike with a tip right under Luis's chin "neither do you"
"...fine" said Luz in a shaky voice
"Luz, no-" said Luis before the arms' grip on him tightened
Luz looked at Tess and her brother before giving Belos the portal
The moment he held it, he let go of Luis
"Go on then, be a hero" said Belos calmly as he gave the twins a platform to Eda and the others
The twins silently walked unto the platform, and as it rose up, Luz spoke
"We might've lost, but so have you" said Luz as she his the ground with Owlbert, causing the fire glyphs on the portal to activate, destroying it
The two glared at Belos as he glared back
And they went to save Eda

Everything happened so quickly
They all managed to get to the owl house safely
Lilith shared the curse with Eda to make up for what she had done
And now, they took in the loss of Tess
"I'm gonna miss the old murder box" said Eda with a frown
"Yeah." Said King in a sad tone
"It's my fault" said Lilith with a downcast expression
"What are you guys doing?" Asked Tess who was inside a phone that had been given wheels
"I can almost hear her voice" said King tearing up
"Do you guys think I'm dead?" Asked Tess in confusion
"Her murderous sound is still ringing in my ears" said Eda nearly crying
"Are you serious?!" Yelled Tess angrily
"I could-"
"Screw this!" Said Tess as she moved her new body to Lilith and electrocuted her
"What the- Tess!" Said King in realization
"That wasn't a weird voice in our heads?" Asked Eda
"Yes, and now i get to electrocute you till morning because you thought i was dead" said Tess with a disapproving voice as she showed everyone that she now had a taser case
Everyone began running away in fear
"Return of the taser phone case from chapter 1, baby!"
Luz, Luis and Pete watched with smiles on their faces
Things were looking up for everyone
