Izuku's POV

His back was pressed into the wood of the crate he was hiding behind. It wasn't much cover but it was enough. The drug dealers had stopped firing upon him. Likely they were waiting to see what he would do next.

Few things had gone right this evening. He had tried to keep Eraser and Tsukauchi away from this warehouse. It was supposed to be a regular drug bust but he knew now it was far from it. They were doing a double run tonight.

First being a Trigger. This wasn't the first time he had dealt with Trigger dealers. It was fairly easy to deal with since he had Orichalcum knife.

The second was far more troublesome to deal with. Chisaki Kai also known as the villain Overhaul had been a troublesome villain even a decade in the future. He knew what the other had done during Izuku's first year of high-school. A raid happened that year led by the Pro Hero Sir Nighteye. According to official reports they had been trying to save a little girl and stop the production of a quirk destroying drug. A drug that was with them now. Izuku had to destroy it or risk it getting out onto the streets.

Already Izuku had been shot twice by the drug dealers. Once by a regular bullet. It tore through his left shoulder. A through and through wound but it bleed profusely. He could feel lighthesdedness settling in as he pushed through the pain.

Izuku had not been so lucky with the second bullet. The second bullet this time laced with the quirk destroying drug was lodged in his right leg. This would make his escape a lot more difficult. He doubted he would be able to run. The bullet was made of usual materials but it still hurt like hell. Luckily he had been able to activate his emergency beacon. That would send his location to the heroes and Kavar. Luckily he had the foresight to send his partner on their usual patrol route. He had hoped this would be an easy bust. He should have stopped that thought before it arrived. Then he might not be in this situation.

A voice called out, "You should surrender, vigilante. If you do then we will let you go instead of handing you over to Overhaul. I'm sure he would love to find out why you're not screaming about the loss of your quirk."

Izuku called back after checking his voice changer, "I highly doubt that you will just let me go. You will probably just put a bullet in the back of my head. However I can guarantee you will not like who comes."

There were violent swearing in return to his taunt. Izuku didn't know where exactly the detective and Eraser were. Still he couldn't risk these drug dealers getting away. Which meant he needed to get back on his feet.

He grunted lowly as he looked over his cover. Only to duck back down a second later. A burst of gunfire hit the wall across from him. Yeah, no he had no way of standing currently. If he didn't do something soon they would flank him and he would be shot and killed.

Sirens resounded through the warehouse as the police finally arrived. Thank the Kazoo God. The drug dealers turned their attention to the entrance. This allowed Izuku to busy a knife in one's lower thigh just above the knee cap. It narrowly avoided the femoral artery. He went down a second later with cry of pain.

From the corner of his eye he saw Overhaul escape out the side. This wasn't surprising. He probably wanted to avoid the policy's attention.

In his head Izuku counted the seconds. Just before the police barged in he threw a smoke bomb pellet. It filled everyone's field of vision and the police entered. Using that as a distraction he slipped into the smoke. A swift yank had his Orichalcum knife free of the man's leg. A swift tourniquet later and he left the man. Carefully making his way up into the rafter he turned off his emergency signal.

Pressing his finger to the comlink he said softly, "Kitsune this is Delta. I'm clear of those who had me pinned down. Do not come. I repeat do not come."

There was a pause before Kavar grunted in acknowledgement, "Received, Delta. Kitsune out."

Hidden in the shadows of the rafters Izuku watched as the police entered. He almost missed the Pro Hero sneaking in with them. It only a took a few seconds for them to take control over the situation. They handcuffed the criminals and got an ambulance for the one that was injured.

Tsukauchi however was looking around the warehouse. He moved around the warehouse his eyes on the floor. An officer was watching him with an odd look. Even Eraser seemed confused.

Tsukauchi said looking green, "Eraser there is blood over here. This wasn't from the dealer that has the knife wound and tourniquet."

That had Eraser moving too. They found the puddle of blood where he had been crouching behind the crate. Izuku shifted on the beam so that he was a little more hidden. Unfortunately for the former assassin it caused the beam to creak under his weight. Both Tsukauchi and Eraser looked up. Their dark eyes trying to find his form in the shadows.

Shit! He hid himself further into the shadows. Tsukauchi and Eraser weren't buying the act that he wasn't up there. Not surprising given since they seemed hellbent in catching him.

Tsukauchi called out, "Delta! What the hell were you thinking trying to do a drug bust alone?"

Izuku replied with a gentle smile, "It was better this way. I couldn't risk them trying to shoot you with the second drug."

"And you could risk yourself? Delta your life isn't worth this!"

Izuku snorted, "Sorry, Detective but I have to beg to differ. Giving my life to save those around me is worth it. Besides I've been dealt worse wounds than this and survived."

"You're hurt," This was a statement from Eraser, "I've seen the blond behind the crate. You should come down and let us take you to the hospital."

Izuku snorted and his voice distorter screeched in displeasure. Then he said, "There is nothing that could convince me to come down. Besides I can clean, bandage, and stitch wounds myself."

Shifting so that he was now standing he tested his leg. It buckled slightly but held after a moment. Looking down he met the dark eyes of Eraser. Things seemed to pause for the briefest of moments. Then the hero launched his capture scarf towards the beam he was on.

Izuku didn't hesitate to take off as fast as his injured leg would allow. Ever aware of the shifting of the air he avoided the throws from Eraser. Below them Tsukauchi tried to keep up.

They chased him across the rooftops. It seemed that he would not be able to get away from them at first. Quick thinking and a well timed smoke bomb allowed him to hide in a window sill. Tsukauchi who had fallen behind wouldn't be able to see him.

Eraser for his part stayed on the rooftop trying to decide which way he went. Then he took to the north and Tsukauchi paused for a little while longer. While they couldn't see each other it was almost as if Tsukauchi could sense his presence.

Then the man was gone. Izuku sighed a breath of relief but waited five minutes before leaving his hiding spot. He knew the man could very well circle back around to try and catch him that way. Now he was clear to run off on his own.

It took him almost an hour for him to return to the trailer. There Kavar was pacing out on the sands waiting for him. Upon seeing him, blue eyes widened in surprise. He rushed to Izuku's side and threw Izuku's good arm around his shoulder. Together the two limped inside and he was pushed onto his sleeping bag.

Izuku groaned, "Grab the first aid kit. It should have the materials to stitch my arm up. I'll have to dig the bullet out of my leg. Kavar gives your belt it will be have to do as a tourniquet."

Kavar questioned as he pulled out their first aid kit, "What happened to yours?"

"Tourniquet for the drug dealer."

From there the two fell into uneasy silence as Kavar started a small fire to sterilize the needle and forceps. Once that was done he stitched up his shoulder. Izuku tightened the tourniquet above the wound. Then he drug into his leg searching for the missing bullet. The pain was excruciating but he persevered.

Gritting his teeth he finally found the bullet. Carefully he pulled it out he checked it. That was most certainly the quirk destroying bullet.

Kavar questioned his eyes wide, "What the hell is that? I've never seen a bullet like that before."

Izuku said with a frown, "It's a bullet with a quirk destroying drug in it. The Yakuza were trying to sell this to the dealers. That's why I wanted you to keep away from the area."

"What are you going to do with it?"

Running a hand through his hair he replied, "I'll have to hand it over to Tsukauchi or Eraser."

"How do you plan on doing that?" Kavar questioned.

Izuku shook his head tiredly, "It's something to consider tomorrow. For now I need to sleep. Can you finish stitching my shoulder and leg?"

"Of course I can."
