Hey there all you Ranma fans. And welcome to "One Wild Ride". Now this is an SI story that I hope you all like. All comments are welcome. I hope you enjoy. This is my first story I've published.

-- China, Jusenkyo

In the Chinese valleys normally if one were to look around they would only find trees, trees, trees and... well they would also find some bamboo as well.

Jaydon Raine with a few of his closest friends were out hiking in the one of those forests found in China's vast lands. Jaydon and them were adventurers. Wherever they could go for an adventure they would.

Now of course with that said, they weren't rich. But they would work for as long as they needed to so they could make the trip. Sometimes they didn't even have enough money left over for the trip home. This would be one of those times... but they wouldn't let that keep them from enjoying themselves. They were currently hiking through the woods towards a very special valley. Jusenkyo.

Now the valley was very special indeed. According to legend things that fell into the spring-fed pools there would be cursed to transform into whatever drowned in that spring. The only way to change back according to legend was if the cursed person was splashed with hot water.

Unfortunately a 'fix' that easy is just as easily taken away with a splash of cold water as well. And the curse always seemed to attract cold water at the worst times. Especially when the cursed person fought against the curse.

Of course there was no way that the stories were true about it but in truth Jaydon just wanted to see it. The group had gone to a few other places in the years that they had started their... adventuring. Including parts of Europe, France and even Japan specifically... though they didn't stay in Japan for very long since. Well they didn't really know the language. The little that Jay did know he knew through his repeated watching of Anime shows. Don't judge... it really does work.

Either way several months ago Jay and them all were discussing where they would go next. And the next thing Jay knew the word Jusenkio came shooting out of his mouth. When the others asked about it Jaydon explained that it was a valley of so called "cursed springs". They asked where it was and he responded that it was in China. The others looked at one another and after a bit of studying Amy, his sister turned to him and said excitingly. "Lets go!"

To get to China took a long long time... not even talking about travel time. It was the most expensive trip they had planned thus far. And now that they were here... each one of them felt that it was money well spent.

As Jay was thinking about all this a voice brought him from his thoughts. "Hey Jay! I think you might wanna see this." Looking up, Jay found that it was his friend Tony who was talking.

Walking up to where he was Jaydon suddenly found himself breathless when he saw... Jusenkio. A valley of springs. All around he could see bamboo sticks all over the valley. In the ground and sticking up through the springs themselves. It was just like in the pictures he had seen before hand. It was beautiful.

For a moment however... something strange happened. A strong breeze came flying in and Jay was sure he could hear a voice. "Help me! Help me please!" It pleaded. The voice sounded like it came from a girl.

"Did you hear that?" He asked the others.

"No... hear what Jay?" Mathew asked expressing the thought on everyone's mind.

'Did they not hear that voice?' He thought. Out loud however he simply said. "N-nothing. Just my imagination I guess."

After that they walked down next to the springs. Stephany, Amy's best friend, knelt down next to one of the springs. "Hey Jay? You said that the springs were cursed right?"

While wondering what she was up to, as Stephany was the type to play around, Jaydon cautiously replied. "Yeah I did... why?" He asked in return slowly kneeling down in front of a spring as well.

"Let's give it a try-awk!" She started to say moving to splash Jay with the spring water but Jaydon was quicker and got her first.

Everyone got a good laugh at that. While he was laughing however Jay once again heard the voice. "Jaydon." Said a female voice.

Turning around Jaydon found himself face to face with a brown haired girl wearing a dress. A really old styled chinese dress. Jay was shocked to notice that she was hovering over the water of the spring.

"Jay!" A voice shouted. Looking back Jay found that Stephany had been talking to him. "Jay have you been listening to a single word I've been saying?"

To be honest... no he hadn't. So with a sheepish smile on his face he was about to talk when Stephany interrupted him before he could start. "Didn't think so. I said that we should split up in different directions to see what we could find. Interesting places, nice views, dark caves we could go down into with our diamond swords and armor to see if theres any mob spawners in there and what kind of treasures we can find inside..." She trailed off as she finally saw the strange looks the others were giving her.

"Uhh Steph?" Tony asked looking at her with a wary yet unfazed face. "I think you might want to lay off the Minecraft for a while." He said.

Stephany nodded in silent agreement with a sheepish smile on her face.

Jaydon shook his head with an amused smile. "Yeah yeah I understand now." After thinking a moment he nodded his head and said. "Sounds good. We should meet up here again in about 2 hours. That should give us enough time to set up camp before it gets too dark."

With everyone in accordance they all parted ways looking for the secrets held in the Jusenkio valley.

- Later -

Jaydon on his own search was loving every minute of it. He had been out exploring for more than an hour and had since found a lot of cool stuff. He had found really nice walking stick, some nice stones and even a gold bracelet that he found in one of the springs. Right now he was standing on top of a cliff above the valley. The view from there was brilliant.

Looking down at his watch he noticed that it had been more than two hours since they had parted. Turning around he started back down, on his way to meet up with the others when he heard the voice again. "Jay."

Looking back Jaydon saw the same girl as before standing at the edge of the cliff. Looking at her closely he asked. "Who are you?"

The girl didn't answer the question. "I need your help Jay." She said.

Walking closer to her Jay asked. "My help? What do you need from me?"

The girl didn't answer. Instead she simply began stepping backwards towards the edge of the cliff.

Alarmed Jay started running after her to try and keep her from falling. But as he reached the edge she was just out of his reach. And to add one more problem to his rapidly growing list... the ground cracked.

His eyes grew wide and Jay had just enough time to say, "Oh crud..." before the ground broke beneath his feet and he found himself falling to the the ground.

As he looked down he felt some relief seeing that he would fall into one of the springs down below. He was so relieved that he didn't even realize that the girl that he had followed was no longer there.

Jay closed his eyes as he hit the water headfirst. Thinking that would be the end of it he was surprised when he kept falling. When he opened his eyes again it looked like the spring was a lot deeper than he first thought. He saw the same girl as the times before. She was standing upright in front of him with a smile. And she said something in a language he couldn't understand.

Then the girl faded away into nothing just as Jay felt something. It was like he had suddenly gained a new kind of energy in a moment. He also felt something else change though what it could have been he couldn't say. Just that he felt even weirder and even... smaller for some reason.

But before he could explore why he felt the way he felt the water around him grew to be a lighter color and when he looked up he saw light peaking through.

Soon Jay took his first breath of fresh air as he broke through the water... and then fell onto the dry ground in front of the spring.

For a moment Jaydon was confused as the backpack he had been carrying his entire trip suddenly felt like it weighed 3 times as before. Using all his strength he turned onto his side and freed himself from the pack.

Now when he had done that he noticed a few other things that for him were really weird. For one, everything seemed much taller than before... and another... his clothes seemed to be swallowing him.

He looked down at the water and couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was a kid. His brown hair now had a more feminine look to it, his eyes were two different colors, his face now had freckles on them and he had absolutely zero facial hair.

"What the heck?" He asked before taking a pause at his own voice. Being a kid would make his voice higher that was true but... his voice seemed a bit too high for a boy. And after a quick body check it was confirmed. He was no longer a he. But rather... he was a she.

"WHAT THE FREAK!!!" Guess who.

Jaydon quickly got out of the water trying her best to stay calm... and utterly failing.

"Oh come on!!" She shouted to the sky. "All I did was respond to a cute foreign girl who asked for my help! And I get turned into a girl for my troubles?"

Jaydon began pacing back and forth- staying away from any other springs as she didn't want to fall into another spring and become an even bigger freak than she already was- muttering angrily under her breath.

"Oh and not just any girl either. No I just had to turn into a 12 year old girl! I mean just what the crud Spirit Girl!"

After a shaky breath, and still cursing out the spirit that did this to her Jay crawled out of the standing up figured that for her approximate age and the fact that she was a girl at the moment she wasn't actually all that short. Not that she truly cared at the moment.

Alright... now what do I do?" She shakily asked herself. At the moment she had managed to calm down. At least a little bit. She knew she still had to deal with this curse she had but that would have to wait.

Right now she had to figure out what the heck she was going to do. So pushing the curse- rather forcibly- to the very back of her mind she began working on her other problems.

Like just what she was going to do and how on earth she was going to explain to her friends that she was now a 12 year old girl. Of course the girls probably get a kick out of this. Jay shuddered at how Stephanie would react.

'NO!' She thought to herself as she terminated that line of thought.

After a while Jay figured she'd go look for help. As well as, as she just noticed... a pair of pants or something of the like since her's no longer fit. So she started walking... until she remembered about her backpack.

Slowly and dreadfully looking back at her backpack she wondered... "How the heck am I supposed to drag this thing anywhere!" She shouted, burying her face into her hands. She didn't want to leave it behind since it had a lot of valuable stuff that she could use but at the same time... it was sooo heavy!

Dropping her hands with a groan she walked back over to her backpack, wincing and twitching as she stepped on several rocks, twigs and other sharp objects. With a seriously upset face she said. "Another thing I need... shoes. Or otherwise I am never getting this bag to move.

When she got back to the bag she had come up with an idea. Opening her backpack she reached inside to grab her first aid kit. Opening it up she grabbed a bandage wrap and the pocket knife inside. Taking the bandage wrap Jay gently wrapped her feet up, one at a time using the pocket knife to cut the bandage up. When she had finished it felt like she had two pairs of padded cushions on her feet.

"Alright that is much better." She said happily. Now she felt she could actually put the force necessary into dragging her bag along the way. Without destroying her feet in the process.

Getting in front of her backpack she grabbed the two straps and pulled with all the might of a 12 year old girl. But when it only barely budged Jay simply sighed and said, "This is going to be a long day." before she started again.

Now when she started she had taken note that the sun seemed rather low in the sky. Which meant that night time would be coming soon. She really hoped that her friends would come looking for her. But for the meanwhile she would move little by little until either she found someone or someone else found her.

- Later -

"Oh why did I put So Much Stuff In My BAG!" Jay screamed out into the night sky. She had been dragging her bag inch for excruciating inch for the past 4 hours and she was fairly certain she could still see where she had started from.

Collapsing next to her bag from exhaustion she sighed tired and really rather depressed. By now she had figured that something more must have happened when she fell into that spring. Maybe she had traveled in time or was in an alternate timeline or, or... something like that.

Because in the time she had been there she had yet to see any of her friends. She had tried to call them on her phone but only one of their numbers even went through. And even then she just ended up calling a very upset Texan who may or may not have threatened to hunt her down and kill her.

Which honestly just made her laugh. A bitter laugh but a laugh all the same. As if he could actually find her. Especially since she didn't know where she was.

She didn't know what to do. After dragging her pack at least two or three miles in the past 4 or 5 hours with only the food and water that she had in said pack to eat and drink. She was tired, hungry and lost. Not cold luckily as she had found a jacket in her pack.

It belonged to her sister. She didn't have room for it in her suitcase and it was really hot in China so she gave it to Jay to hold on to. It was a little too big for her current 12 year old body but to be honest she liked it. It was warm and she could probably still use it even when she grew up... again.

That thought only made her more depressed. Not only was she a girl. But she would have through puberty again as BOTH GENDERS!

With that thought Jay angrily slammed her fist on the ground. And immediately held it as the pain registered.

Groaning softly she curled in on herself she gently held her hand.

"What have I gotten myself into?" She asked.

However with it being so late and with everything that had happened all Jaydon wanted to do was to pull out her sleeping bag, get in, and sleep, while hoping for a better day. Or at least that all this had been a giant nightmare.

Jay fell in such a deep sleep that she didn't even notice the approaching footsteps coming her way. A pair of arms picked her and her bag up and carried them off into the night.

- The Next Day -

Jay slowly opened his eyes again cringing as the sun blinded him with it's brightness. "Stupid sun." He muttered before pausing at the sound of his voice. Or rather... her voice.

"Aww freakin fetch!" She said as the events of the last night came back. "So it wasn't a dream after all." Looking around her surroundings Jay saw that she wasn't in the valley any more but rather in some kind of hut.

And after a little more observation she noticed that she was no longer in her old shirt and Amy's jacket either. Now she was wearing a lovely floral kimono... that if it wasn't for the fact that Jay had nothing else to truly wear she might have pulled the kimono off and burned it where ever it landed. (And even then the idea was still tempting.)

She hoped that whoever brought her here hadn't prepared something hot. 'Cause that would cause some big problems for her. Of course that brought up a rather important question. Who brought her here.

Just then she heard a voice. "Ba ba?" When she looked over to the door... Jay felt very confused when she saw no one. But as she turned her sight downward she saw... a kid. Jay didn't think the kid was no more then 2 years old. And she only said that since the kid was standing up.

The kid started to walk towards her before another voice, this time a man's voice, sounded. "Plum!" Which made the kid jump on top of Jay. "Oof!" She grunted automatically holding the kid.

Moments after the door opened again revealing a familiar face that Jay had only seen on Tv. It was the Jusenkio Guide. From the anime Ranma . For Jay it was all the proof she needed to know... she wasn't in Kansas anymore.

The Jusenkio guide cringed when he saw Jay and began in somewhat broken english, "So sorry Miss I did no want wake you." Jay had seen other people who had tried to learn whose accents were absolutely horrible so to be honest... his wasn't that bad.

Jay was too busy dealing with the shock of being in an anime universe to answer immediately. She didn't even know what to think. On the one hand this meant that she could possibly with time learn how to shoot energy blasts from her hands it also meant that if she could, try and help Ranma out with his problems.

Of course choosing one of those would mean automatically choosing the other as well. If she chose to study martial arts she was sure that she would run into Ranma eventually, if only for the fact that they have the same curse. And if she chose to help Ranma then she would have to learn martial arts... if only to make sure of her own survival.

Yet to be honest with herself Jay had already made her decision. Ranma had been dealt too bad a hand for her to not at least try to help. Sure there were quite a few things that he had done to cause his own problems but there were about a million other things that were caused by other people like his dad for example. If she didn't at least try to help Jay was certain that she would regret it the rest of her life.

Having made her decision Jay nodded her head, determined to help him... eventually. She then came out of her inner thought process with a start as she realized that she had yet to respond. "Ah no no don't worry about it, it's fine. I actually woke up a little before the kid here walked in. Also please don't call me 'miss'. My name's Jay."

The Guide blinked and looked at her and the kid. The kid had begun to cuddle into Jay's side. "Ok. Try not wander. Springs cursed and could be bad." He said before he turned to leave the room.

Jay wrapped an arm around the little kid and looked up at the guide. A nervous laugh escaped her thereby, catching the guides attention. "Yeah... about that.. I already have one. This is it." She said gesturing to her body with her one free arm. "I'm normally a boy not a girl."

The Guide paused at that. Then he seemed to take another, closer look at Jay. "Your curse... is different." He said.

Confused, worried and very afraid Jay asked in a rather timid way. "What? What do you mean?"

"I be Guide here 20 years. I learn how tell when person has curse or not has curse. You have curse but is different. No know how but different it is." He tried to explain with his limited english.

Jay funnily enough felt more like she was talking with Yoda instead of with the guide. But what he said made her wonder. Her curse was different. Different how? She wanted to know. "Is there someone you could call or someone who might know what's different about my curse?" She asked hoping that he would call or bring the Amazons... or specifically bring Cologne. She might be able to tell her what was going on.

The guide seemed to think for a while before he nodded his head. "I go get help. And... clothes." He said before he turned and left the room leaving Jay and Plum alone, with Plum still cuddled up at Jaydon's side.

Looking down at Plum, Jay decided that there wasn't much else to do apart from sleep until the guide came back with the... 'help'. So making herself comfortable Jay closed her eyes and went to sleep.

When she woke up again she heard two voices talking in chinese. Jay opened her eyes with a yawn, attracting the attention of the two chinese speakers.

"You awake!" The guide said first.

The other watched Jay for a little while before faster than Jay could see flung a stream of hot water at her. Instantly changing her back to his original form. At first he cringed, expecting to tear through the kimono the guide had put him into.

But when nothing happened Jaydon looked down and saw that they must have changed his clothes. Now he was wearing a blue stripped T-shirt, with his sisters red jacket, a pair of chinese pants and kung fu slippers. Then he looked back up at the other Chinese he asked. "What'd you do that for?"

The other chinese was a short woman. A short, really old woman. If the guide talked like Yoda then this lady looked like him... apart from the fact that Yoda is green and she isn't. Though she did have a staff that looked rather familiar. "Ow!" Jay exclaimed as said staff whacked him over the head.

Rubbing his now bruised head he asked sorely. "And what was that for?"

The woman looked at him and said. "In no particular order. I figured you might want to return to your true form... not to mention I wanted to see if the clothes I brought for you would fit on your guy form as well. And second... you were being rude. Someone your age should respect your elders."

Still rubbing his head Jay said. "Well I thank you for the clothes and for changing me back as well. But as far as the respect thing goes. Where I come from respect is earned. Not freely given." He shot back.

The lady looked taken back for a moment before she cackled and said. "Too true sonny boy... too true."

Hearing her cackle made Jay pause. With the cackle, the staff, her wording and shortness brought him up short. "I'm sorry... I don't think you ever told me your name."

The old amazon raised an eyebrow and said in response. "Nor have you told me yours."

With a sigh Jay said. "My names Jaydon Raine. And you?" He asked... although he was fairly certain he already knew exactly who she was.

The amazon cackled once more. "My name is Cologne sonny boy." She said, confirming Jays own thoughts.

"Nice to meet you." He said with a slight bow of his head. "Can you tell me what's going on? The guide said-" He asked, starting to explain when Cologne held up a hand, stopping him.

"The guide has already explained all that he knows. But what I want to hear is your side of things." She said, looking at Jay with a serious expression.

Jay looked away from Cologne. He thought about whether he should tell her everything or not right off the bat. If anyone could understand, believe or even help him understand... it would be her. It's not like he would have to tell her about the fact that where he's from... she and this entire world are a manga. He paused at that wondering at the strangeness of that sentence.

So he nodded and began to explain everything. Where he was from, his true age, the fact that he saw some kind of spirit, fell into the spring and then he found himself here.

"I see." She said after he had finished explaining. Her face revealed nothing about whether she believed him or not. Which to be honest it would have surprised him more if she had instantly believed him.

After a moment of thinking Cologne nodded her head. "Do you feel up for going on a walk with me?" She asked Jaydon.

Not sure where she was going with this but curious all the same Jay nodded his head and said. "Sure thing."

Soon after the three of them headed out towards the springs. Coming up onto the spring that Jay had fallen through when he had come to this world Cologne looked down at it. Then she touched the water with her staff, watching the ripples that came from it.

"I see." Jay heard Cologne mutter.

"I'm sorry... but what is it you see exactly?" He asked politely.

When she turned to him Jay saw something that was very rare even in the manga. Cologne was smiling. Not cackling not laughing and it wasn't in a scheming manner. But a genuine smile. Confused Jay looked into the spring as well, trying to see whatever it was that made Cologne smile. But when he didn't see anything he asked her. "What happened, why are you smiling like that?"

That only made Cologne's smile grow bigger. "I am smiling sonny boy because. Because of you the spirit of this spring is free." She said happily.

That... did not get rid of Jays feelings of confusion. "Huh?" He asked again.

With a patient sigh Cologne shook her head and explained. "All the springs you see here are cursed. They are cursed because the spirits of those things or people that drowned in each spring. The curse brings bad luck with water, and attracts those who need to learn a lesson or be punished. But when you passed through to this world you must have freed the spirit of this spring."

"Does that mean... it's not a cursed spring anymore?" He asked curiously.

Cologne nodded in confirmation. "Exactly. The spirit is gone. Anyone that falls into this spring from now on will simply turn into a girl when cold water hits them and change back with hot water. Water will no longer follow them around changing them at random moments." She explained.

"Huh." Jay said simply. "Anything else you can divine from that thing? Like if there's anything else, other special blessings or something?" He asked hopefully.

Cologne gave him a look as if she were dealing with a child. And then before he could tell what happened she knocked him back and he fell into another spring. And when she popped out she shouted angrily. "What did you do that for!

Cologne only stared at her and said calmly. "I wanted to test a theory. And it turns out I was right."

Confused, Jay was about to ask what on Earth she was talking about when she realized... she was in another spring. And she was still just a girl. "What the?! How is this.. why am I still just a girl?" She asked, shocked.

"I believe that the spirit blessed you in two ways." She said. "The first is the obvious immunity of the effects of falling into a second cursed spring." She explained.

"And why did you even suspect that in the first place?" Jay asked, while silently asking herself if Cologne really was as insane as the fanfictions all portrayed her to be.

Moments later another whack over the head came from Cologne's staff. "Sonny boy both me and the guide have had years of living here near the springs and even we have to be careful whenever we enter. But you not only walked for several hours last night in trying to find help here. But in the entire time that we have been walking here you have not had even the smallest accident which could have led to you gaining a second curse. That... IS NOT NORMAL." She explained trying to make Jay understand just how abnormal it truly was.

Jay stared at Cologne for several moments before she fastened the belt around her waist so her pants wouldn't fall down and climbed out of the spring. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she asked. "And what was the second blessing?"

This time Cologne poked her in the chest with her staff and said. "For a child who has never exercised her ki in I'm assuming all her life... you seem to have a lot of it."

Confused, Jay looked down at her chest. "I... I do?" She asked. When Cologne nodded she looked back at her and asked again, hopefully. "Can you train me to use it?"

Cologne stared at Jay, her expression not giving a clue as to her thoughts. Determined however Jay did not give up on her hopeful, innocent face. This was one of the benefits of not only being a kid... but being a little girl. Eventually Cologne sighed and said. "Alright I will think about it. Just stop looking at me like that."

To which Jay gave the biggest smile and gave Cologne a hug. "Thank you!" She said loudly.

Cologne patted Jay's back with a soft smile on her face. "Your welcome girly. Your welcome." She said.

--Time Skip--

"Hah... oof... oww!" Jay grunted as he practiced his karate moves.

Three months had passed since Jaydon had passed through to this world. Cologne had left and returned since then and agreed to train him. She had talked to the Amazon council and they all agreed that it would be best to train him.

Of course as happy as he was that they had accepted (as he knew just how opposed they might have been to agreeing to train a male... let alone an 'outsider' male) Cologne explained that their agreement came with conditions. For one thing Jay would always have to be in his cursed form during training. Also he could never reveal the secrets of their style to anybody without their permission. Not that they would be showing him any of their secret moves or abilities like their 1000 punch move or tornado special move. Nothing like that but Jay was grateful for what they were willing to show him.

Of course the downside to these conditions was that Jay had to transfer these moves that he... or rather she was learning to her male body. Not an easy thing.

Luckily however the Amazon's Ki blast was not one of their original attacks. So that Ki technique as well as a few others, Cologne could show and teach him she explained... not that she would be doing that soon but it was a future possibility.

Up until that moment however Cologne hod only been teaching Jay the basics. Luckily Jay had one benefit to being from a different world and being used to a different body. Since almost the moment Cologne had him start meditating he could feel his ki. His progression with his ki abilities and sensitivity to said ki had impressed even Cologne.

For Jay however... everything having to do with ki just felt natural. Which ironically felt really odd to him. He thought that since he was so used to not having ki that sure it might be easy to feel it but as far as using it he couldn't quite understand why it was coming so easily.

When he mentioned that to Cologne she had agreed with him on why it might have been so easy for him to feel his ki. And as far as the easiness with him using it... she assumed that it probably had something to do with the spirit he freed.

Either way Jay was grateful for the help and guidance. If it weren't for Cologne and the guide helping him out... Jay knew he would never had gotten this far. He didn't even know if he would be able to survive. The best part is that Cologne didn't just teach him how to fight. But at his request she and the guide had been teaching him how to speak in chinese and japanese.

Yep that's right. He was learning how to talk in japanese and chinese... and what a headache that caused. With his daily martial arts practices, frequent lessons with both the languages and martial arts and his new job... Jay always came back to the guides cabin dead tired.

And yes. Jay had a job now. That was the last requirement for the council agreeing to teach him. Jay worked at Jusenkio, keeping away people who could possibly fall in. And so far nobody that has come close enough for Jay to feel the need to warn away... has believed him.

Luckily Jay already knew that it would be hard for people to believe a story like springs that turn people into other things... so when he started the job he made sure to always carry a thing of water. They never believed him on the first take. But when "he" became a "she"... every last one of them booked it out of the valley and Jay never saw them again.

It was a fun job to be honest. Jay never had to worry about mixing his curse with another which made him much more at ease in Jusenkio.

For the moment Jay was taking time in the woods to practice what Cologne had been teaching him lately. Augmenting the strength in his arms and legs. At the moment he was only working on his legs. Which when he pushed ki into it, gave him the ability to jump all over the place.

Of course there was more to this ability than just having enough ki to do so. There was a certain accuracy point to it as well. Especially in the woods. If Jay was off on his accuracy even just a little. It would cause an accident with a tree... or two.

"Oww!" Jay shouted for what seemed like the millionth time. Every other time he tried to land with accuracy he hit face first into a tree or tree branch. His head hurt like crazy and although he didn't have a mirror or anything like it he was fairly certain his face had turned black and blue.

"Alrighty... I've given it a shot like this. Now it's time to change things up a bit." He said. Then, Jay pulled out a water bottle from her ki space... a technique that Cologne had taught her a week ago. It was like Hermiones bottomless pocket charm. Only it used ki and the deepness of the pocket depended on how much ki someone put into it... and squirted it in his face turning him to his more... feminine form.

"Here we go! Let's try this one more time shall we?" She said gearing up to try again. Pushing enough ki into her legs Jay sprung off the ground towards the closest tree. The moment she landed on it she bounced off towards another tree. Then to another and another and another.

Feeling very confused she stopped on top of a tree branch. "Huh?" She said. She had been trying for over an hour as a guy. And yet somehow she had managed to do it with exactness after a minute of trying as a girl?

After a moment of thinking a thought came to her. Cologne had been training her as a girl only. So of course her trying to do the same moves and techniques as a guy wouldn't be the same. Jay let out a discouraged sigh and said. "Well I guess this will take a bit longer for me to master than I thought."

But by then it was time for Jay to keep on her job. Hopping down from the tree branch she gathered up her staff, putting her water bottle in her ki space and started on her way back to the valley when she heard a girl scream.

"AHHH!" The girls scream rang all throughout the forest.

Jay, eager to help out quickly jumped back on top of the branch she was at before and looked for the girl. Moments later she spotted a purple haired girl in a flower kimono... and a giant bear chasing her.

When Jay saw that the bear was about to pounce on the poor girl she immediately pushed as much ki into her legs and launched herself at the bear. Flipping around in the air Jay kicked the bear in the chest with all the strength she could muster.

The bear was lifted off it's feet and sent back a few feet by the sheer force behind Jay's kick. Meanwhile Jay... fell to the ground holding her foot. "That hurt..." She groaned.

The purple haired girl just stood and stared at her unexpected savior. Just then she shouted something in chinese. Luckily it was something simple so Jay knew exactly what she said. "It's back!" Although... Jay was unsure if she wanted to understand that.

Sure enough the bear was back up on it's... paws. And it looked really ticked off. Getting back on her own feet Jay shouted at the girl with her horribly simple chinese. "You! Run!" She didn't even look back to check if the girl had followed her order and ran towards the bear, bringing out her staff.

About two months ago Jay had asked Cologne if the stick she found could be used as a staff to fight with. And after a little bit of tinkering and ki reinforcing Jay had a strengthened bo staff and had been practicing with it ever since.

The bear got up on it's two back paws ready to pounce. Acting quickly Jay launched herself upward with the bo staff and kicked the bear under the jaw. Jay landed on her feet with a smirk on her face. A smirk that quickly got wiped off as the bear sent her flying with a single paw. Right into a tree.

When Jay opened her eyes again the first thing she registered was the immediate pain she was in. The second was that the bear was beginning to charge after her. Eyes widening she tried to get up and out of the way but when she did a sharp pain in her side kept her from doing so. The blow must have broken a rib or two.

But even then she wouldn't go down without a fight. Grabbing her staff Jay pointed it at the bear, pushing as much ki into it as it would handle and watched as the bear got closer. And then she watched as a great big ball with a handle on it wacked the bear on the head.

Looking over in the direction the weird weapon came from Jay saw the little girl, huffing and puffing. About half of Jay wanted to shout why she didn't leave when she told her to. While the other half wanted to shout in joy that she came back and managed to get such a blow on the huge bear.

But Jay's desire turned completely towards wanting to shout why she didn't leave while she had the chance as she saw the bear turn and charge towards the girl.

Determined to help the girl Jay tried to think about what to do. And just then something happened. She felt ki rush to her ribs and the pain in her side dimmed. Enough to the point that she immediately set off, putting herself between the girl and bear.

Acting off instinct only, Jay put out her hands towards the bear. Next thing she knew Jay felt a major drain on her ki and a beam of white energy shot from her hands. Hitting it's target the bear was pushed back through a tree.

Jay stood there ready for the bear should it decide to come back. But the bear never came out of the woods. As soon as Jay let down her guard she felt the pain in her side come back twice fold. Due to the pain and lack of energy she fell down.

The little girl who was there was instantly by her side. As Jay was blacking out she saw the girl kiss her on the forehead and said something. But the only thing she could make out were the words; "Thank you." as she completely blacked out.

End chapter one.
