Chapter 5

"Spider-Man! Miles!" the students shouted.

The screen pans down the destroyed room. The silhouette of Goblin's dead hand is close up and eirei before Miles jogs into the scene.

Miles: (sees Spider-Man lying on the ground and runs over to him to start digging him out) Hey! What the, are you ok?

Spider-Man: Yhea, yhea, I'm fine. Just resting.

Miles: Can you get up?

Spider-Man: Yeah, hehe, I always get up. (starts coughing) The coughing probably not a good sign.

Fisk: Find him. Now.

Spider-Man: Listen. We gotta team up here, we don't have much time. This override key is the only way to stop the collider. Swing up there, use this key, push the button, and blow it up. You need to hide your face, you don't tell anyone who you are. No one can know. He's got everyone in his pocket.

"This is way too dangerous for just one kid," Aizawa complained.

"He doesn't have a choice. It's his responsibility. He's the only one that can," First pointed out.

"Doesn't mean I need to like it."

Miles: What?

Spider-Man: If he turns the machine on again, everything you know will disappear. Your family, everyone. Everyone! Promise me you'll do this.

Miles: … I promise.

Spider-Man: Go. Destroy the collider! I'll come and find you! (Coughs as Miles runs away) It's going to be ok.

Miles climbs a piece of scrap and looks up.

Fisk: Tombstone. We're done with tests. Get that thing ready again, and soon. Run faster! These guys are weak. (Turns and starts walking towards Spider-Man) I'd say it's nice to you again Spider-Man! But it's not!

Spider-Man: Hey KingPin. How's business?

Fisk: Booming! Let's see.

Spider-Man: (gets his mask pulled off) Oh, that's a no no. This might open a black whole, under Brooklyn. It can't be worth the risk.

Fisk: It's not always about the money, Spider-Man.

"So what is it about?" All Might questioned.

Spider-Man: (Prowler activates his gloves to kill him) Don't you want to know what I saw in there?

Fisk: Wait.

Spider-Man: I know what you're trying to do. And it won't work. They're gone.

Fisk: (Double fist pounds down onto Spider-Man) Get rid of the body.

"No!" everyone shouted. The girls and Deku turned and started crying on peoples shoulders, while the rest bent their heads down.

"He was so young," Nana cried.

"It's always the hardest part of this job," Sixth told them.

Fisk: (Miles accidentally moves something, making it fall) What was that? (Miles gets up and runs) Kill that guy.

"Miles!"

Prowler chases after Miles, past the graffiti, over the fence, and down the subway. Miles dropped the bypass key only to pick it up. The prowler came through a door on the side and tried to grab him, only to be too slow. A train comes through and almost runs Miles over, but he jumps and sticks to the ceiling. It looks like the train hit the prowler, but he flattened himself against the wall.

Miles: (Gets stuck to the ceiling and pulls with all his might as the Prowler notices him) Stop sticking!

He gets down and the prowler starts chasing him. A train nearly hits Miles again and he jumps onto the platform, running and dodging another train. Comic strips of the Prowler turning on a motorcycle and Miles running down the street. The prowler passes Miles without realizing it, and he gets down from a light post and starts running again.

"Phew. That was a close one," All Might voiced.

"It's not over yet," Fourth interrupted, "He still doesn't have control of his powers, the entire multiverse is at stake, and the hero before him died."

"Way to bring down the mood," Mic groaned.

"Just being realistic."

Rand Civilian: (Looking up at the multiple structures that were fused together) Yeah, I think it's a Banksey.

All Might laughed, knowing some famous American things.

Miles climbs in through a window and knocks something over, which notifies the residents.

Jefferson: (Opening the door) Police! Put your hands u- Miles? Miles? (Miles, a mix between sad and frightened, runs over to his father) Why aren't you at school? Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Wha- it's ok, it's ok.

Mrs. Morales: Miles? *What's going on?* (Miles looks up, frightened) Is it the earthquake?

[A/N: I'm not that good with spanish as you can tell. I'll try to translate based on context.]

Miles: Can I sleep here tonight?

Jefferson: Miles, it's a weeknight. You made a commitment to that school.

"What commitment!?"

Mrs. Morales: Jeff, he's upset.

Jefferson: U- of course you can stay.

Miles: (Sit on bed) Dad?

Jefferson: Yeah.

Miles: D-do you really hate Spider-Man?

"... He's wanting to tell," First concluded.

"Don't say the wrong thing Jefferson. Don't say the wrong thing," Second muttered. All Might knew what was going to come next, because he made the same mistake with Deku.

"Young Midoriya… I'm so sorry."

Jefferson: Yeah? I mean, a vigilante i-

Mrs. Morales: Jeff mia mo.

Jefferson: What? He asked me. Baby, you know how I feel about Spider-Man, come on.

Mrs. Morales: *He loves you.* That's why he's tough on you. You know that, right?

Miles: Mom, do you ever think about moving out of Brooklyn?

"Trying to convey that something dangerous is going on without telling what happened," Third noted.

Mrs. Morales: Our family doesn't run from things Miles.

Miles: Yeah, I know.

Jefferson: What was that about?

Mrs. Morales: He's having a hard time Jeff.

Jefferson: When it is hard, that's when he's gotta stick it out.

"Is that why you do the logical ruse thing all the time?" Momo asked Aizawa.

"Wait, what logical ruse?" Mic questioned.

"The expulsion threat. It was just for us to bring out the best of our ability, right?" Momo answered.

"... That threat was very real sweety," Midnight told her.

"What!?" all of Class 1-A yelled.

"You all showed a potential that my other students didn't have. That's why I didn't expel anyone," informed Aizawa.

Mrs. Morales: Shhh.

News Lady: We interrupt this broadcast for a special report. Sad news tonight, the hero known as Spider-Man has died. (Music starts playing in the background) After injuries related to another powerful earthquake in Brooklyn.

"Oh no. This scene's going to bring manly tears," Kirishima stated.

"Time to see how much of an effect he has on this city," Nezu dreaded.

News Lady: Multiple sources are confirming that Peter Parker, a 26 year old grad student, operated as Spider-Man…

Music: I'm not scared. Of the dark. I'm not runnin', runnin', runnin', no I'm not afraid of the fall. I'm not scear-ear-eared. I'm not scear-ear-eared, even from the start. I'm not scared,

MJ: My husband Peter Parker,

Music: of the dark,

MJ: was an ordinary person.

Music: of the dark.

MJ: He always said it could be anyone behind the mask (Miles picking out a costume). He just happened to be the kid who got bit (Miles puts the costume on the counter in order to buy it).

Stan: (Picks up the item to look at it) I'm going to miss him.

"Stan the man Lee," First whispered. Everyone, even Nezu and Aizawa, were crying.

Miles: Yeah.

Stan: We were friends, you know.

Miles: Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Stan: It always fits. Eventually.

"The suite, or the mantle?"

Miles looks to the left of the man where a sign says, "No refunds or returns, Ever".

MJ: (Miles goes to the bathroom to change into the costume) He didn't ask for his powers. But he chose to be Spider-Man. My favorite thing about Peter is that he made us each feel powerful. We all have powers of one kind or another.

Realisation hits the audience hard.

MJ: But in our own way, we are all Spider-Man.

More tears being shed by most.

MJ: And we're all counting on you.

Miles: They're counting on me.

Random dude: Probably no you specifically. I-I think it's a metaphor.

A few people chuckled. "OK, we're going to stop it here for you all to collect your thoughts, grab some more snacks if need be, and discuss among yourselves what you've learned so far," Steve told them. Everyone got out with the girls hugging each other while crying, and the boys discussing some things.

"Young Midoriya," Deku turned around to look at All Might, "I'm sorry for what I said the first day we met. I don't know if giving you One for All was the best option for you or not, but I'm sorry for contradicting myself."

"What do you mean All Might? And what's One for All?" Ida questioned.

"Something that will be explained later on… hopefully. However, when I first met young Midoriya here, I told him something completely foolish. And when I was apologizing for it, I gave him an offer that completely contradicted what I told him."

"What the hell did you tell him!?" Aizawa questioned, activating his quirk… which ended up as bad as you could predict. All Might instantly was covered in smoke and reverted to his skeletal form, shocking the students, except for Deku.

"... So, this is my true form."
