Gwen: "Hi Courtney, how are you?" She asks with a nervous smile and tone.

Courtney: "I've actually been waiting for you."

Gwen: "Can I come in?"

Courtney: "I want to hear what you have to say, so yes."

Gwen: "Thank you."

Gwen comes inside and shuts the door.

Courtney: "The floor is yours."

Gwen's smile disappears. Her expression on her face. changes to sadness and regret.

Gwen: "Thank you for letting me say what I want to say. I want to sincerely apologize to you kissing Duncan, hiding the kiss, and taking so long to apologize."

Courtney: "Why did you do it?" She asks with anger.

Gwen: "It just happened. I didn't have time to think when Duncan leaned in to kiss me. I just kissed back without thinking."

Courtney: "Why did you hide the kiss?"

Gwen: "I knew you would freak out and kill me if you found out. It's not that I wasn't going to tell you. I knew I would have to at some point, but didn't know when. I should have told you about the kiss after it happened. I wish I told you." She frowns some more.

Courtney: "You shouldn't have kissed him in the first place."

Gwen: "What I did was very wrong and I'm so sorry."

Courtney: "I thought you were my friend."

Gwen: "I was and am. I just made a horrible mistake I really regret. What I regret the most is hurting you. Once again I am so sorry Courtney. I hate myself for what I did."

She looks down in shame and regret. Courtney can see the pain in Gwen's eyes and actually starts to look at her somewhat sympathetically.

Courtney then remembers the statements made by Trent, Bridgette and Duncan, most notably the latter.

"She is sorry for hurting you." "Courtney, they are sorry." "

Both have acknowledged that they were wrong. Duncan has apologized to you. Gwen wants to apologize, but doesn't know how to approach you".

"Gwen and I didn't work out because we felt guilty over hurting you. The guilt really hit us a few days after World Tour ended and just got worse and worse as the days went by". "Believe me Courtney, Gwen has felt bad the entire time, and the last month has been really hard for her because of her guilt. She really wants to apologize to you, but does not know how to approach you." "Gwen made a mistake that she really regrets. She has been feeling guilty the entire time. She really wants to apologize. If you can find in your heart to forgive her, please do. Don't hold onto this anger. Please find a way to forgive her. She's not a bad person. She's a good person that made a mistake she really regrets. Please find it in your heart to forgive her."

Courtney: "Are you really sorry?"

Gwen looks up at Courtney.

Gwen: "Yes, truly sorry."

Courtney: "Duncan, Trent and Bridgette have told me you felt bad. Duncan and Bridgette have also said you are sorry, but didn't know how to approach me."

Gwen: "Yes, I didn't know when and how. However, Duncan gave me the courage after we talked yesterday. Courtney, I'm not here to ask for your forgiveness or friendship. I'm only here to offer my sincere apologies for my betrayal. I don't expect you to forgive me, and I don't blame you. I just want you to know how sorry I am. You are a good friend and it pains me that I ruined our friendship."

Courtney's sympathetic look increases.

Gwen: "Well, I got to go. Thank you for listening to me."

As she is heading to the door, a few of Duncan's statements echo in her head.

"Gwen has felt bad the entire time, and the last month has been really hard for her because of her guilt". "She really wants to apologize. If you can find in your heart to forgive her, please do. Don't hold onto this anger. Please find a way to forgive her. She's not a bad person. She's a good person that made a mistake she really regrets. Please find it in your heart to forgive her."

Courtney: "Wait." She says as Gwen is about to open the door.

Courtney walks up to her.

Courtney: "I've hated you since I found out about the kiss. I've told myself I'd never forgive you."

Gwen frowns.

Gwen: "Courtney, I understand."

Courtney: "But."

Gwen's eyes widen.

Courtney: "After thinking about what Trent, Bridgette and Duncan told me, as well as listening to your apology, I can tell you are sincerely sorry and not a true betrayer. I can forgive you."

Gwen: "Really?" She asks with shock.

Courtney smiles.

Courtney: "Yes."

Gwen then gives her a big hug.

Gwen: "Thank you so much Courtney." She says with an affectionate smile.

Courtney: "You are welcome."

Gwen ends the hug.

Courtney: "You know what? Maybe, I can give our friendship a second chance."

Gwen: "Really?" She asks with excitement.

Courtney: "Yes, but you have to earn my trust back."

Gwen: "I will Courtney. I will never betray you again. Thank you"

She hugs Courtney who hugs her back. They end the hug.

Gwen: "So, do you plan on getting back together with Duncan?"

Courtney's smiles disappears.

Courtney: "I'm thinking about that, but I don't want us to fall apart again."

Gwen: "You won't. You got to have faith. What is your heart telling you?"

Courtney: "To get back together with him."

Gwen: "Go with your heart Courtney. The past was bad, but the future can be good. If you have faith in the two of you, then give each other another chance. Go with your heart."

Courtney: "What if we fall apart again?" She frowns.

Gwen: "Don't think like that. Don't focus on the negatives. You're giving me another chance, despite what happened. Do the same for Duncan. He wants you back and you want him back. Find a way to work things out with him. I want the two of you to be happy."

Courtney: "You want us to be together? You don't like him that way anymore?"

Gwen: "I've got over him. We're back to being friends. I've developed feelings for Trent again."

She frowns.

Courtney: "Trent did tell me he is still hurting.

Gwen: "Yea. I did apologize for not being honest about my feelings for Duncan. He forgave me and is friendly with me, but it's clear he's still hurting. I don't know if he will take me back.

Courtney: "Trent is a nice guy. He will get past this. He still likes you."

Gwen smiles.

Gwen: "Thanks Courtney. I hope you and Duncan work out."

Courtney smiles.

Courtney: "Thank you."

Gwen: "Well, I should go. Thank you for giving me another chance."

Courtney: "You are welcome."

Gwen leaves.

Courtney (in her mind) :"That went well. I actually forgave her and gave our friendship a second chance. Maybe I should give Duncan another chance. If I could give her one, then I can give him one. Maybe I should go with my heart.
