Chapter 1
The Move
Violet awoke to a messenger hawk on her window sill that morning as the sun had barely touched the skyline. She untied the message and read it over, her eyes taking in the words written so neatly on the paper, 'Dear Violet Hala, I am writing to you to ask that you and your team come to Mondstadt as we are extremely short handed right now and we could use the extra hands signed by Jean the Acting GrandMaster.' Violet chuckled lightly as she noticed that the handwriting was not of Jean herself, but Lisa, the Librarian of the Knights of Favonius.
After reading the message, excitement coursed through her veins as she was thrilled to go as it had been a while since she had seen her twin, Viox Hala. Before she got going she wrote a quick message to Jean to let her know that her team and her were on their way. After the message was secured she gave the messenger hawk a warm smile before sending it on its way. She quickly got up and let her parents know, as much as she just wanted to go without saying a word to them, she knew that all hell would be let loose if she didn't tell them. Seeing as they lived close by to her and her team in Dragonspine, the short walk over wouldn't be bad. Colddenn was nice and lively, but she couldn't wait to get away from the cold and her parents. "Hey everyone!" Violet said as she got to where they were sitting around a campfire. They all looked at her and waved. Viper was the first one to get up and hug her. She rolled her eyes and hugged him back. Pulling away she cleared her throat, "Listen I know this is sudden but I just got a letter from master Jean asking for us to help out in Mondstadt. If you want to come with me I suggest you get packing." She told her team. She wanted to get out of Dragonspine as soon as she could. Her parents have been breathing down her neck ever since they learned she was stationed here. Her team looked at her with soft smiles knowing she would wait for them but also knowing the reason she wanted to leave as soon as she could. "Well what are we waiting for? We can finally get out of this freezing weather!" Viper said, jumping up from his seat around the campfire. "I agree with Viper for once" Alex said, also standing up although a lot gentler than how Viper did. Viper placed a hand over his heart dramatically. "You wound me Alex." He said in a woe-is-me tone, causing everyone else to laugh. After that everyone dispersed to get ready. They all agreed to meet at the entrance to Dragonspine. Violet smiled warmly as she watched her team tease each other. They had all come a long way from where they had first started. She carefully made her way back to her room to grab her things. It was going to be a short trip, but who knew how long they would truly be staying.
Violet was the first to show up, her things beside her as she waited for the others she sat down on the ground stretching her arms above her head. "Hey Vivi!" Viper said excitedly, as he walked up to her with his luggage behind him. She wasn't surprised to see Viper here first. He may seem like he would be last but he was always the first to show up if not second after Violet. Shortly after Viper it was Jasmine and Jules, seeing as the two girls lived together and were courting each other it made sense that they would arrive together. As always, Alex was last. Violet rolled her eyes and got up with the help of Viper. "Are we ready to go?" Violet asked with her head tilted, rolling her shoulders, her nervous habit when she wanted to get going. They all nodded their heads in response. She nodded her head and grabbed her things walking out of Dragonspine not looking back once as she walked forward. As they walked out of the freezing climate and into the warmer one, they all shedded their warm coats, hats, and gloves. Jules, her second in command, walked up beside Violet smiling softly at her. Jules was a beautiful woman, she was well toned with fair skin and wavy brown hair that she always had up in a high pony. Jules was 5'6" Her eyes were a bright green color. She had an Electro vision and when faced with danger she is extremely calm and deadly with her Dark Iron sword, then there is Viper who is a short man at a height of 5'5" with dark tan skin and shaggy black hair. Viper had dark red eyes. Viper is stealthy and uses a Blackcliff bow, his vision is Dendro, Jasmine, she has tanned skin and long straight hair that is half yellow and half orange. Jasmine stood at 5'2" Jasmine had bright yellow eyes that shined as bright as the sun, she uses the Solar Peral, she also stealthy, Violet often sent the two of them to scout out the areas, She had a Pyro Vision so she was their go to when they needed to light a campfire. Alex had short green hair with bangs that covered one eye. The eye that could be seen was a soft pale blue while his covered eye is pure black, that is the eye he hides because of past trauma. Alex is an Anemo Vision user. He is the Healer of the group, who used a Crescent Pike Polearm, he stood at 5'9". He was a great healer that the team knew they could rely on no matter what. Violet knew she had gone to him when she had cut too deeply and couldn't stitch it herself, nor hide it for that matter. After a while of walking they all decided to camp out for the night, they knew it would be a few days till they got to Mondstadt.
They finally made it to the gates of Mondstadt, tired, sweaty, and hungry as they didn't really take a break after seeing the large city in the distance. They walked and camped out for a few days before they had finally made it. Of course they fought along the way either rescuing people that were stupid enough to get close to the Hilichural camps. They even rescued some drunk named Brawin Smith, who didn't seem pleased about being rescued. The team stood in front of the gates for a bit, before Violet took the first step into the city. They were looking around till they heard a voice call out to them. They looked around and spotted a man running up to them. He stopped somewhat short of breath in front of them. The man was about 6'0" with curly dirty blonde hair and soft pale blue eyes. Violet heard Alex take in a sharp breath, she looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk on her face. "My name is Joseph, Jean asked me to escort you guys to her office. So if you would all follow me." Joseph said keeping his eyes a little too long on Alex. Violet wasn't really paying attention to what Joseph was saying as she was busy looking around the city for her twin sister, Viox, but instead of a head of pink hair her eyes landed on a head of blue hair. As she locked eyes with Kaeya she flipped him off, he looked at her with an unamused eye and a scowl on his face. Viper snickered besides Violet. "You still hate him?" He whispered to her, which caused her to blink. "What no, I just find it funny to flip him off every time I see him." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. Viper barked out a laugh that caused the rest of the group to look at him with questioning stares that he waved off. They finally make it to the Knights HQ. Joseph waited for everyone to be ready before he knocked and opened the door. They all took a look around at the people there, one with brown hair and a red ribbon tied around her head and a red jacket over a white and brown shirt with brown shorts and red and white thigh high boots, a girl with dirty blonde hair and a purple witches hat on top she's wearing a purple and white outfit. A blonde girl whose hair is in a high pony, she was wearing a black and white shirt with white skin tight pants and a blue cape. "Grand Master Jean, the Knights from Dragonspine are here." Joseph said, gesturing to the five behind him. "Thank you Joseph you may leave now." Jean said, standing up from where she sat behind a large oak desk. Joseph bowed and left the room shutting the door behind him. "Thank you all for coming so quickly." She said with a smile on her face that looked exhausted. "Which one of you is Violet?" The Dirty Blonde with the purple witch hat asked in a cool even tone, leaning in a little too far for Violet's comfort. "That would be me." She said leaning back to get away from her. "Oh where are my manors doll, I'm Lisa, and the bunny girl is Amber." She said with a bright smile on her face. Violet froze at the word doll, that's what he used to call her. She felt someone gently touch her arm, she looked who it was and saw Viper. She released the breath she didn't know she was holding in. She smiled at him softly and nodded her head. He nodded his head back. The three people that were in the group looked confused but Violet just shook her head at them. "I don't like being called doll." She offered an explanation. Everyone nodded their heads reluctantly. "Alright, well all of you will be on standby till further notice. For now take the day to rest, sight-see, or do whatever you want. The City of Freedom welcomes you all home once again." Jean said, shooing them away gently. The group walked out of her office and out of the HQ.
