Phineas was sitting in homeroom when the announcements started. "Good Morning students today's lunch special will be Tuna surprise" The class groaned. "Also Make sure you start getting your tickets for the fall formal next week their selling quickly! Ask that special person and come shake your rump! At an appropriate distance ofcourse"

The class clapped and The rest of the announcements were a blur to him. Whenever he would attend a dance it would be with Ferb and all their friends but this time he wanted to do something different. Yes many girls have asked him just yesterday he got asked by 3 different girls but he didn't want to go with just any girl. He wanted to go with her. He had been thinking about his and Isabella's friendship and he wouldn't want to run it with catching any type of romantic feelings or letting his hormones take over. It's all so confusing to him he's never had to deal with this before why now? He had talked to Ferb about it the night before and Ferb told him that he should ask her to the dance and if you see that she doesn't feel the same them forget about it and that's what he intended to do even if he got a little hurt at least their friendship would be intact. He needed a good way to ask her. Something creative and original… And He knew just the way to do it.

Isabella sat with Gretchen, Adyson and Ginger in homeroom as the announcement finished. Isabella sat back in her desk and sighed. "What's wrong Bella?" Adyson asked. "She's probably mopy because Phineas hasn't asked her to the dance yet." Ginger replied frowning at her best friend.

"But doesnt he always go in a group?" asked Gretchen. "Ugh yes but we're going to highschool next year and i'd like our last middle school fall formal to be one where I have an actual date." They all mouthed in agreement. "That's understandable" said ginger. "Why don't you just ask him" Said Gretchen. Isabella's eyes went wide. "Are you crazy? And face rejection? I don't think so" They rolled their eyes. "C'mon you know he likes you it's obvious" "No Adyson if it was obvious Im sure I would have noticed.

" …." You know for a smart girl your pretty dumb" Gretchen and Adyson laughed and Ginger shushed them. "Whatever i'd rather go in a group with phineas than not at all I guess.."

Candace P.O.V

Candace sat on the bleachers by the football field with Vanessa and Stacy at lunch time. "I don't get boys" says Vanessa popping a tater tot into her mouth. "It's like they live specifically to ruin the lives of females" this made Candace chuckle slightly. "Who knows Nessa." said Stacy "So Candace have you decided to talk to Jeremy yet? I mean the guy has been looking miserable" Candace sighed. "yeah I've decided to stop kidding myself and talk to him I miss him just as much as he misses me." Stacy nodded before looking to the field and froze. Her blank expression soon became a huge grin as she tapped Candace's shoulder. "Um you might wanna see that then." Candace looked and her jaw dropped. There Jeremy was in the middle of the field surrounded by his old bandmates and he was holding a guitar. 'No way when did they even set that up?!.' She thought to herself. He smiled at her and grabbed the microphone. (Disclaimer I do not own this defendants song)

Everyone around them clapped. And Candace just sat there mouth agape with tears in her eyes. Jeremy stepped into the bleachers and walked up to her.

"Candace I would never do anything to hurt you if you forgive me and take me back I promise to never hurt you again I love you." he was right in front of her and her heart was beating a million miles an hour. She just nodded vigorously grinning and threw her arms around him. He hugged her back tightly as they embraced. Stacy and Vanessa high fives and everyone was happy...well almost everyone. Little did they know of the glaring eyes pointed in their direction.

Ferbs P.O.V

So this dance situation with Phin and Isabella is getting annoying but I don't have time to deal with that he's a big boy he can handle himself. I on the other hand have no idea who i'm gonna take..There's no girls in my class that I really fancy but I might as well pick someone..I decided to take a walk to the park and told Phineas i'd be right back but I don't think he heard me because he seemed to be asleep under the tree in the backyard. I love just taking walks sometimes it helps me clear my head and just think without the big elaborate inventions and events me and Phineas come up with. "Hey Ferb!" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked for the source of the angelic voice that greeted me. Vanessa Doofenshmirtz sat on her porch seemingly waiting for something and waved at me. Vanessa was the picture of perfection. She was gorgeous and mature. Way out of my league. If I ever get a girlfriend she needs to top that. Which is probably impossible. "Where you headed?" she asked. "Um-just to the park" God I sound childish. "Oh okay cool" she stood as a weird car with a robot head pulled up. "Well my dads here i'll see you later Ferb." I waved at her pathetically and continued my way to the park. It was about 3 hours after school ended for the day and and the sun was setting creating a nice orange tone to the sky and there was a chill in the air but that was expected with the new season upon us. Everyone was bundled in sweaters and boots and i'd never admit it but fall is my favorite season. It's just prettier and just has a nice vibe. You know I might just-OUCH. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I ran quite literally into someone. "Hey watch where you're-! Oh hey Ferb" I finally processed what was going on and Adyson was standing there in front of me. She was a good foot or so shorter than me and her long brown hair pulled into a high ponytail with yellow headband and was clad in yellow leggings and black last time I saw her was the truth or dare night. "Where you off to in a hurry?" I asked her. "Nowhere I was just running to the ice cream truck" she laughed and I smiled turning to look in the direction of the parked Bright green ice cream truck. "You wanna come with me? I can get you a Popsicle shaped like spongebob" I laughed and nodded. "I'll come with you but you can keep the icecream" She smiled and nodded grabbing my arm and pulling me to the truck. She's so cute. Wait what? I've never thought of her that way before why now? Maybe it's the cold getting to me...if that makes sense.

Phineas P.O.V

No that's stupid. That won't work. She would probably laugh in my face. I'm currently sitting under the tree trying to think of a way to ask isabella to the dance. WHY IS THIS SO HARD? She's my best friend it's not like she'll yell at me or anything. What am I afraid of? You know what? I'm going to march right over to her house and ask her right now. Just rip the bandage off. I got up and walked across the street and knocked on the front door. HOLY CRAP what am I doing? It's too late to turn back now. I hear the lock being unlocked and my palms instantly started sweating. Isabella popped up in the doorway looking as cute as ever. "Oh hey Phineas what a surprise" she said nervously. "Oh is it a bad time? I was just gonna ask-" "Um yeah kinda I-" Isabella babe whos at the doo-" WAIT A MINUTE...WHAT?

"Ferb? what are you doing at Isabella's house?" "Um-well we didn't want you to find out this way…" "What?" "Did you really think she'd be with you? You couldn't even ask her to the dance bro she needs a guy who's gonna take charge it's too late" With that he grabbed Isabella and started to make out with her. NOOOOO-

"NO!" I gasped sitting up from my spot under the tree. I guess I fell asleep. It was a dream thank god. Why is this having such an impact on me it's just a dance! Where is Ferb anyways?

"Phineas? Why are you just staring into thin air?" My mom opened the sliding door and looked at me curiously. I quickly snapped out of it."Um I was just thinking..I guess I zoned out" I laughed nervously standing up and walking into the house. "Well i'm heading out can you bring this up to your sister in her room she seems to be in a much better mood today" I nodded taking the object from her hand and making my way up the stairs towards Candace's room. I knocked and two seconds later she opened the door with her phone to her ear. "What?" I handed her the object "mom told me to give this to you" she nodded and took it from me. "Yeah and he had a guitar! It was so romantic!" she screamed into the phone before shutting the door. I rolled my eyes and went to my room. I sat at my computer desk and took out my phone. I instinctively hovered over Isabella's name as if to text her. I got a sudden wave of inspiration as I began typing in the little box. 'Hey Issa, So I like you. I think as more than a friend ..it's hard to explain and I know i'm probably pushing the limits of our friendship here but I was just wondering..will you go to the dance with me?' I read over it a few times before cringing. That's terrible no way I can send that. Plus asking over text is pathetic. I reached for the DELETE button but accidentally pressed SEND. CRAP! I started to panic. WTF is wrong with me?! Okay calm down think think...I looked back at the text at the 'Unread' symbol. Great she hasn't looked at it yet maybe I can go to her house and erase it before she sees it.

I got up and ran downstairs and across the street as fast as I could . Hyperventilating I rang the doorbell and Isabella's mom answered. "Oh hi Phineas look how tall you've grown what brings you here?" I caught my breathe "Um is Isabella home?"

"Yes she is she's in the shower but you can wait for her in her room if you want" I nodded thanking her before going up to isabelas room. It had not occurred to me that i've never been in her room and I was just running on autopilot. I got to a room that looked like it could be her room and started searching for her phone. I finally found it beside her bed and dove for it not noticing the water from the bathroom shut off. I knew her password because we're best friends and I quickly opened the text. Delete! "Phineas?" I jumped startled and turned to see Isabella in the doorway in a towel. OH HOLY MOTHER OF SOUP. "What are you doing in my room?" Quick think! "Um I just wanted to come over and see what you were doing.." Nice. "Why do you have my phone in your hand?" CRAP! "Um well-I-I was just checking the time?" That came out as more of a question. She looked at me like she knew I was lying. "Okay well get out so I can change" I nodded and walked awkwardly out of the room. 3 minutes later she opened the door again and I walked inside. "Okay so what was the real reason you are here and had my phone?"

I sighed she could always see right through me. "Okay I may have sent you a text by accident and I came to delete it" She still looked confused. "Why? What was it about?" I could feel my face heating up as I looked away. "Um-Nothing important.."

"Well it must have been important if you had to come all the way here just to delete it yourself.." I sighed I might as well tell her and face rejection. "Okay fine. In the text I was trying to ask you to go to the dance with me." I avoided eye contact as she processed what I just said. Silence. "I know the answer is no that's why I was trying to delete-" "Yes" she said. I looked up confused. "What?" She had a big smile on her face. "Yes i'll go with you..to the dance" I smiled. "Really? Like as a date right?" She nodded. "Yes smart one i've been waiting for you to ask" That caught me off guard. "Really? Wow I had no idea" "Yeah I can tell" she laughed. I blushed again. God stop doing that! "Okay great I'll uh- I'll see you later then I said backing out of the doorway slowly and awkwardly." "See Ya" she said waving me off with a nervous smile .

I made it out of her house and I felt like the world was just lifted off my shoulders. I can't wait to tell Ferb.

It was on. Sneakers squeaked against the gym floor and the crowds yelled enthusiastically for their team. Danville high was up against Paramount High and it was a close game. Now that they were good again Jeremy's head was back in the game and his determination was strong. As he huddled with his team he looked up at the scoreboard. 17-19. They were down by 2 points with only 30 seconds left on the board. "Alright guys we can do this. Brandon I want you to pass the ball to Jeremey who will shoot for a 3-pointer" They both nodded at the coach who looked stressed but also determined. "Just get out there and play a damn good game!" The buzzer rang and they got back on the court.

Candace sat in the bleachers along with Vanessa cheering Jeremy and his team on. She had always admired his focus when he played basketball it was they way he used to be with his guitar. She wondered if after that little show he put on if he would ever go back to music but she didn't dwindle on the thought much longer she looked up amd saw Jeremy make the final shot just as the buzzer went off. The crowd around her went wild. "There we have it folks! Danville wins 20-19 it was a close game! What a great way to kick off the school year! Thank you all for coming and have a great rest of your night" the guy on the microphone screamed into the mic making me laugh. The team jumped up and down celebrating before shaking hands with the other team. "Cmon" Vanesssa said tugging my arm down the bleachers. I got to the bottom and went over to Jeremy and jumped into his arms giving him a huge hug. He smiled. "Hey did you enjoy the game?" She smile. "Of Course! Congrats!" He smiled and kissed her. "Sorry i'm all sweaty ima go to the locker room and change i'll be back" she nodded smiling and he walked off with his team to the locker rooms. Candace turned and looked at Vanessa who smiled knowingly and they walked out of the gym with the rest of the crowd.

Jeremy's team continued to celebrate in the locker room the coach gave a proud speech and tears were shed. (Yeah he's dramatic) Jeremy was one of the last in the locker room after taking a quick shower. He went to his locker to change his clothes when he heard a noise. He wasn't alone…"hello?" He yelled so anyone close by could here. He didn't care if there was anyone there he just wanted to make sure...he didn't get a response so he shrugged it off and proceeded to get dressed. He heard it again. But this time as he turned around a fist flew right into his cheek bone. He groaned in pain not expecting that. Je looked up and saw Declan smirking sinisterly. "Dude! What is your problem?!" He yelled in clutching his face. "You think you're real tough don't you well last time you got a cheap shot and I thought I'd return the favor." He had a bandage on his nose from where Jeremy punched him at the SPOT. Jeremy groaned. "You again? Why can't you just take a hint and go away! It's not gonna happen bro! Candace is MY girl not yours and that was a real asshole move that you pulled the other day we were supposed to be friends!" Declan scoffed. "We play on the same team that doesn't mean we're friends. look you better watch your back because one thing I know is I always get what I want." With that he walked away leaving a fuming Jeremy behind glaring at his back.

Candace was waiting outside the locker room for Jeremy when Declan came out. He had a bandage across the bridge of his nose and Candace immediately tensed up. "Hey" she said when his eyes met hers. "Hey" he smirked. "How's your nose?" She asked and he shrugged it off. "Eh this thing? I'll be okay don't worry about it." Candace nodded slowly. "I'm still sorry though. Especially if I may have led you on or anything but its just-" " Candace. You didn't lead me on. I'm just the type of guy who knows what he wants and I want you." Candace's eyes widened. "W-well Jeremy-" "I know but he's gonna screw up again and I'll be there when you finally figure out that he's not good for you" Candace looked shocked at his confession and was about to reply when- "Candace" she turned to see a annoyed looking Jeremy glaring at Declan. "Let's go" he said firmly. She looked back at Declan and waved an awkward goodbye before taking Jeremys hand and leaving the hall.

"What happened to your cheek?"

"I said don't worry about it it's nothing"

"Well It sure doesn't look like nothing"

Candace and Jeremy were sitting on his couch and candace held a small ice pack to his cheek. The team had thrown a victory party but they decided to stay away from parties for a whole for obvious reasons…

"Please don't worry about it. Let's do something. You want to watch a movie?" Candace wasn't gonna let this go but for now she would give him mercy. "Fine but I'm choosing"
