Weirdhead: Drew and Piper's interactions are some of my faves, you'll see why next chapter. I've definitely changed it from cannon.

Piper quickly decided that Silena was nice. The girl who was apparently her older sister wasn't what she'd been expecting- not that she was sure what she'd been expecting- Silena was kind, really kind, she was gentle and warm- she clearly cared about her appearance and beauty but she also clearly had other priorities, like taking care of Piper and looking after her, because as they walked away from the others- and Piper was willing to admit that she felt nervous about that, she wasn't sure what to think about Jason now that she knew her memories of him weren't real, but she was painfully grateful that she still had Leo, he might be a hyper ridiculous weirdo at times but he was a good friend.

In any case as they headed away from Leo, Jason and the others Silena gave Piper a worried look, "What was with that look you gave the cute guy-" and Piper felt her face flushing at that.

"It- It's nothing." she shouldn't even let it bother her- it wasn't like she didn't have more important things to worry about after all.

Like that dream... and if she could she really needed to try and get a hold of a phone to call her dad and make sure he was okay.

"It clearly wasn't nothing." Piper was drawn out of her thoughts quickly by Silena voice again, "Come on, if even if it turns out Leo's wrong and you're not my sister you can talk to me." she grinned slightly, "Everyone else seems to when it comes to relationships, especially since Percy-"

"Percy. Leo's sister." Piper asked hesitantly, "Who is she?"

And Silena's expression shut down and she sighed heavily, "No offence Piper but I- none of us like talking about what happened." her voice was strained, "She was- she was one of the best, brave, smart, strong. The greatest hero to have ever lived in most of our opinions. But she's gone now. That- it's been difficult. She died on August the 18th so it wasn't that long ago all things considered. Everyone's been struggling but her family and her girlfriends were hit harder than most. And her family includes Drew as far as I'm concerned."

"Really?"

"Well. Drew- she's not an official member but she saw Percy as a sister and no one is allowed to comment on it." she gave Piper an apologetic look, "I really am sorry for how she talked to you earlier. She's... Drew has walls, the only person to ever fully get past them was Percy- I don't know all of the details but Drew has a sort of messed up past and she and Percy bonded during a real screwed up time for both of them- so Percy's death... that hit her hard and even if she won't admit it she's been worrying about the Jacksons- then Leo disappeared and Annabeth had that dream and they come back you with and the blonde boy and she she's angry that you're here and Percy isn't. I won't lie she's a bitch nine times out of ten anyways but she's a good person beneath the bitch exterior."

"She's everything I hate." Piper admitted, "I don't- I hate that type of person, she's cruel and-"

"And superficial and selfish and spiteful." Silena spoke over Piper, "She's also really brave and fiercely loyal to the people she loves- and she's the only other one with charmspeak so she will have to be the one to help train you-"

"I don't even know if I have it!" Piper protested, "Leo says he thinks I do but I mean- it's not like I've ever knowingly done it."

"If Leo thinks you do then I think you probably do." Silena admitted, "He's spent a fair bit of time around Drew he knows charmspeak- but we'll see soon anyway. I think he's right, I'm pretty sure you are my sister."

"I-" Piper shook her head, "Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty she's not exactly what I'd think of when I think of myself."

"Love comes in different forms and so does beauty." Silena pointed out softly, "Don't judge before you get to know us all okay? Yes most of us are pretty girly and we do love our fashion and clothes but that doesn't make us weak or anything- you should see us when we're riled." she winked at Piper- and she couldn't help but laugh at the look on Silena's face. The older girl was good at setting people at ease.

"Do you think- do you think I'll fit in?" She asked after a moment of hesitation, biting her lip.

"Oh I have no doubt you'll be fine- besides." Silena winked, "You're already friends with Leo and he's a member of the Jackson family even if his last name is Valdez, you've already got status from him girl."

"Really?" Piper let out a laugh, "I mean, he's probably the best friend I've ever had but he is kinda crazy. Then again I guess he wasn't trying to make friends at school huh?"

"Leo doesn't really care what most people think of him- he has the most supportive family around why should he? Besides, everyone here loves him because he's brave and stupidly smart," Silena gave a proud smile, "My boyfriend lost his arm last August- don't look so panicked it doesn't happen that often, but he lost his arm, and Leo basically built him a new one on his own, Charlie wanted to help but Leo wouldn't let him- and honestly the new arm works almost as well as the real thing would so as much as I wish he'd never lost the arm.. he can still do everything he needs to- though he does live in terror of Leo's upgrades-"

"Oh god." Piper laughed, "Let me guess, lasers and things?"

"Don't even say it." Silena laughed loudly, "He hasn't thought of lasers yet- luckily for everyone. If he had the camp would have probably been burned to the ground by now."

Piper couldn't stifle the laugh that slipped out at that, "It's definitely something he'd do isn't it?"

"And then he'd forget to tell Charlie about it and he'd end up nearly killing himself with it. I love Leo he's a great kid but I swear he's the definition of a mad genius, which isn't unusual for Hephaestus kids but I mean, he takes it to another level."

"He's awesome." Piper admitted, "His pranks..."

"Oh yeah." Silena grinned, "He's good at that, there's a reason he gets along so well with the Hermes kids."

"This is still all so weird." Piper shook her head, "I know a decent amount about the myths but... it's just-"

"I get it." Silena squeezed Piper's shoulder, "Now, are you going to talk to me about the blond cutie?"

"I-" Piper groaned, "It's embarrassing-"

"Believe me I won't judge."

"I- I have memories that aren't real. Leo says he thinks Hera did it." Piper admitted, looking away. "I... the memories-" her voice trembled, "In the memories I met him even before I met Leo and we've been dating for weeks and now I'm being told that none of that was real and Jason doesn't have any memories at all let alone the same memories as I had."

Silena's eyes widened, "Oh Piper." her expression went soft, "That's horrible no one should ever mess with someone's feelings like that. Honestly I wish I was surprised but Hera has got history." she shook her head, "Listen if you need to talk about it then I'm always willing to talk, or listen. Whatever you want. Even if it turns out you're not my sister."

"Thanks." Piper ducked her head, cheeks flushing, "That.. it means a lot." and so Silena continued the tour, showing the younger girl around the camp, grinning when they reached the cabins- and Piper looked around curiously, "Why are there so many that look half built?"

"Those are unfinished." Silena explained, "There used to be twelve- and then fourteen after Percy got her way a few years back- one for each of the Olympians- the main gods and goddesses, and then Percy asked for there to be two new cabins- for unclaimed kids and for kids of minor gods and goddesses back three years ago."

"What happened before that?"

"They all stayed in the Hermes cabin." Silena shook her head, "It was way too overfilled, it caused a lot of issues- and then a few months back Luke got them to agree to let all of the non Olympian's who had kids have cabins- we're building more all the time these days but it's worth it."

"It's amazing." Piper admitted as she looked around, "I-" she hesitated, "Do you really think I'm your sister?" she didn't like the thought of being related to Drew, but Silena was nice, which just made Piper feel worse when she thought about her dream- she didn't want to betray anyone. Especially not Leo- who was apparently the one person in her life who she could really rely on right now. But she got the feeling that was what that voice had wanted- as for Jason... that was just a whole mess of complicated.

But- maybe the voice was wrong- maybe her dad was fine. She needed to find out either way right?

"Do you have a cell phone or something? I- uh... I want to call my dad."

"Oh, of course." Silena's smile was warm and it made Piper's stomach twist uncomfortably. "You're lucky, a few years back I didn't have one- you can thank Leo for the fact we do now." Silena grinned, "It used to be like sending a signal telling monsters where we are but Leo managed to fix that and now everyone at camp has a Leo special. He made a killing fixing up phones for people."

"Sounds like Leo." Piper felt guilty as she took the phone Silena offered, stepping away from the older girl so she could make the call.

She called her dad's private line, even though she knew what would happen. Voice mail. She'd been trying for three days, ever since the dream. Wilderness School only allowed phone privileges once a day, but she'd called every evening, and gotten nowhere.

Reluctantly she dialled the other number. Her dad's personal assistant answered immediately. "Mr. McLean's office. "

"Jane," Piper said, gritting her teeth. "Where's my dad?"

Jane was silent for a moment, probably wondering if she could get away with hanging up. "Piper, I thought you weren't supposed to call from school. "

"Maybe I'm not at school," Piper said. "Maybe I ran away to live among the woodland creatures. "

"Mmm. " Jane didn't sound concerned. "Well, I'll tell him you called. "

"Where is he?"

"Out. "

"You don't know, do you?" Piper lowered her voice, hoping Silena was too nice to eavesdrop. "When are you going to call the police,
Jane? He could be in trouble. "

"Piper, we are not going to turn this into a media circus. I'm sure he's fine. He does take off occasionally. He always comes back. "

"So it's true. You don't know—"

"I have to go, Piper," Jane snapped. "Enjoy school. "

The line went dead and Piper fought back the urge to burst into tears.

She had no idea what she was supposed to do now- but she knew she couldn't just let her dad suffer.
